Hey Mark, it’s been quite awhile since I’ve watched one of your videos. I know you get a lot of people commenting but I remember when your channel had just a couple hundred subscribers back in 2020. I have say how impressed at how well great your channel is doing, and how well you continue to interact with your subscribers. I’ve personally been on the Dave Ramsey kick and it’s nice to come back every now and than! I’d really be interested in seeing you create a video on how or if your views align with the “Dave Ramsey philosophy”. Great work man
Hey man thanks so much! I’m a huge Dave Ramsey fan and I followed his teachings when I was younger which lead me to pay off $25K in student loans and be debt free. I bought my 4Runner a year and a half ago in cash as well because I like the idea of being debt free. I do have a 30 year fixed rate mortgage (2.8%) that I don’t plan on paying off early. That’s probably the only thing I don’t agree with him on aside from the obvious credit card usage haha. Basically I’m Davish. Not a fan of consumer debt at all and would always prioritize paying it off asap but I’m 100% pro credit card usage if you’re responsible with it. If not then go all cash like Dave
wow didn't know you could expedite the shipping of your cards, that is a great tip! I got the Southwest Card earlier this year with the companion pass welcome offer and remember it taking so long to get to me, delaying when I could start using companion pass
It’s a game changer! I had a few large purchases that were somewhat time sensitive so I wanted to get this card asap to make a dent in the $3K spend quickly
you could get 3x on restaurants with most other Chase cards vs the 2x on the Hyatt and then transfer those points to Hyatt but also have the flexibility if you want to transfer them somewhere else instead. the 60k offer does feel bait and switch to me.The free night annual reward though at least 2x the annual fee of the card though so I definitely have this card on my radar after out of 5/24 status. I guess the $15k in spend for the 2x makes a little more sense in that you earn the 30k points and the additional free night reward..or do they only give you one of them?
I’m gonna use it for everything for the first $3k so I get the 30k bonus but then just use it for any purchases I can’t get higher than 2x on. Dining I’ll use flex or unlimited for 3x plus flex for any 5x categories I can. I’ll get a guaranteed free night after I renew next year but if I spend $15K in 2024 I’ll get another free night. I doubt I’ll get close to that tho cause my non category spend each month isn’t that high and I’ll only do that for the first 6 months cause after that it drops back to 1x which I’d never do
I still dream that this card deserves one good multiplier besides Hyatt hotels. Imagine how seamless this thing would be if it was 3X Groceries with a decent cap of like 5,000-10,000… this card would actually have a rightful place in so many wallets as opposed to the sock drawer. Sigh I pray that Wells Fargo gets Hyatt as a transfer partner for their autograph…
Great Video! One other card that is available as a product change only is the Amex Bonvoy card that gives a 35K Annual FNC. The card has a $95 Annual Fee.
Hyatt used to be a partner with MGM resorts which I was able to match from Caesars Diamond and get MGM gold, then from MGM gold I was able to get Hyatt Explorist status.
I can't wait to see what Marriott and MGM have in store with their new partnership, may product change my marriott bevy card to the marriott brilliant if the perks are good
Something to think about RE the 15 k spend to get the 2x. After u hit that u will earn a free night certificate category 1-4 with a 1 year from earn expiration date. So have a plan for that or get to 14990 or something close and for go a few points to have the certificate have a later expiration date if u don’t have a plan for the certificate. Something I wish I would have thought about
If I use the card in the hotel, do I have to put the card into my room charge to earn x9? The reason I ask is because my company does not want to pay for extra room charges when I am traveling.
I skimmed over T&C but unless I missed something, it may be best to wait til next year before you put much spend on the account. Especially if you plan to hit the $15,000 in spend. It doesn't say first year excluded for earning FNC by spend. Unless I missed it. So getting the one from spend and one for card renewal and points from both could yield more positive value for you and your wife. Take care tho. Best to you sir! And wifey and Minnie. Haha😂
I don’t plan on spending that much so the timing didn’t matter for me but yes if you want to try to go for the $15K FNC then waiting until January to apply makes the most sense! Thanks Kyle you too!
hi, I heard funding a bank account count towards hitting min spend... what bank account do you recommend if I am hitting min spend with Chase cards? thanks
Hey Mark, if I'm exactly at 5/24...and if I was to apply for a chase ink business card...will I get approved..? Thanks if you can or cannot answer! Love your videos!
Chances are you would be declined but I have seen data points of approval at or above 5/24 for Ink cards I personally wouldn’t risk it tho. If I were in your spot I’d wait to drop to 4/24. Thank you!
Hey Mark, you should get the Bilt card. 3x back on Dining and 6x back on Dining on the 1st of every month. The good thing is that Hyatt is a transfer partner with Hyatt.

Enjoy your new card! Looking forward to your Hyatt hotel reviews.
Thanks Paul!

I couldn’t agree more. Imagine dining or grocery stores at 3x… that would be insane!
Bilt is from wells fargo...they are a partner with Hyatt just if you are wondering.

I have called for 3 consecutive days...it appears the Citi Custom Cash and other Citi cards cannot be expedited, unlike Chase.
Citi blows. They also would not expedite my Premier. I’m going to churn and cancel next year
Yeah I’ve never heard of Citi doing expedited shipping. Wish they did tho!

Smart move to ask for expedited shipping
Definitely!
I dunno, an UPS envelope sitting outside your front door, especially this time of year, made me cringe hard.
@@get2dachoppa249that made you cringe? Haha

I made the video! Awesome.
Appreciated your insight from your experience!

I missed my $15000 spend and free night by $80.
