Thabks mate for the info 2014 bmw x3 getting a clunk going over small speed bumps now.. anti sway pins/connectors are fine so i am betting its rhe control arms and makes sense to change both of them out..
Thanks! I don't remember the last time I replaced a rear view camera on a E70. To access remove the middle interior Trim on the upper hatch & you should be able to get it out from there.
Hey bro great video and detailed breakdown. My 2018 G80 has this same Suspension set up, I just recently had the front thrust arms replaced which took away about 80% of my front end vibration. Do you think that the Other arm, the black 1 in your video could be causing the remaining 20% if vibration i still have?
Working on a 2011 X5 right now I've replaced the wheels and tires.. and balanced them twice. I'm experiencing what seems to be a throttle dependent vibration. Only presents over 45 mph and at half throttle or more. The second you let off the gas the vibration largely goes away..any thoughts?
The best thing to do is try to isolate the vibration. the vehicle is AWD so lots of components involved. Most likely its coming from the front end. you can remove the front drive shaft between the front diff and transfer case. if vibration is gone you possibly have an issue with the front axles or front diff.
@@koolfredsbimmertech5617thank you for the reply. I was using voice text and some of my information didn't get put down completely in my first post. It's a 2011 n63 xDrive.. the vibration feels mainly to be isolated to the dash area. A little bit in the steering wheel.. but I know things can be misleading. It very much feels like it's coming from the driver side wheel suspension area. From a dead stop I can floorlr the vehicle and it rips through all the years nice and smooth and straight no vibration. But if I'm doing 45 miles an hour or more and I floor it it gets a very substantial vibration in the dash that feels like it's coming from the driver side wheel area. It's very strange... I read some information that it could be motor mounts. It's a shame because this vehicle was very well cared for. Spent almost $16,000 last year at the local BMW dealership... I hope it's something that can be easily resolved
That's kind of tricky. if its not bent wheels could be engine or transfer case mount. Have any recent repair been done to the vehicle? is this a new issue or has it been doing it for a while?
I have the same problem,I just got new wheels and tires that are already balanced, still have a barely shake in the steering wheel, I already replaced strut assembly and still the same , I took it to the shop today to do a alignment and they couldn't do it because my lower control arm bushings were bad , so that might be the shaking steering wheel.
Same exact issue here man… it was bad today when accelerating on highway uphill, new pirelli tires drives great but the shaking is felt through gas pedal
Excellent video - clear, concise, professional in all ways - thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks! It’s possible. Also check the wheels to make sure there not bent.
This dude really loves to hear himself talk

Thanks! It's Definitely worth a shot. and its good to always replace them in pairs. also check the wheels to make sure they are not bent as well.
Great Video! Do you have the torque specs for the nuts/bolts?
Unfortunately not of the top of my head. I just get the. Nice & tight with a long handle Ratchet.
165nm on both ends . @@koolfredsbimmertech5617
What kind of symptoms do you except when your control arms are busted? Great video tho!
Squeaking and popping noises in front end. You may also feel play or a thumping noise when braking.
When to replace the thrust arm? My x5 has noise when hit the potholes, or bad road condition, last change of thrust arm 10k km ago
@@mydc2200 It sounds like your struts or the strut mounts. The insulators wear out on the strut mounts.
@@koolfredsbimmertech5617the strut are boge, is it good brand?
@@koolfredsbimmertech5617 i should have installed bilstein, boge made in china, tend to fail early i think

The most usless video on the internet 😂. Nothing was shown and cherry on the pie - go to professional garage 😅😅😅
Oh my gosh, I wish the down arrow had a counter like the old days…. This video is a total waste
you talk too much and do very little.
