I thought that aluminum trailer looked pretty good behind ol orwell. The Aluminum looked nice against the silver in the paint. Does the company toss him a few bucks for running a few loads on his trailer behind you? Was curious about that. But as nice as that trailer was, I'm excited to see yours get completed. Between the blue and all the trim for the lights, its a better match for orwell's current paint. We'll have to find some aluminum wheels for the trailer to match orwell's swag.
FSC Trucking was this cab over built in Nashville TN? there was a Pete plant there i worked in in 1999 i got to see them build trucks 1 every 1hr.the. welder mig welding the fuel tanks omg they were badass all hand welded. was a young welder then was amazed. 3 black men building the fuel tanks raw one rolled it, one welded it, one polished it they were the highest paid people in the plant as workers on the floor and super nice guys at the break room table they told me a lot i needed to know about weld aluminum. everyone there was nice easy going. but when they were on the line business only.. road trucks to concrete trucks that week i was there. plant then shut down ugh
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary and the music. Nice Generators pickup and then trade for your trailer. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Steve and Chris.
I had a 80 model kenworth it had that 13 in it I hauled coal average load was 35 ton I have had 48 on it before I had that truck for probably 10 years never had a bit of trouble with the transmission I out a clutch in it but the tranny was solid
Hey bud, if you're coming to Florida, at least you missed the back to back hurricanes, they were "exciting" I can tell you, not something I need to go through again anytime soon. Also, Orwell may not be a heavy haul spec truck but he sure sounds tough, love that big diesel sound. 👍
Keep on trucking Steve Keep up all the hard work it's worth it progress is being made, Chris does great work Keep him happy he's a great addition to the channel.👍👍👍
interesting how they load this one. Just push it on to your trailer, sign papers, its all yours to deliver. I guess they don't have a huge machine to lift this monster Generator.
Well backed! We don't see you hitting docks like that very much. Did you start out doing reefer when you started trucking or have you always been a flatbed guy?
We are still in Milwaukee having fun. And the mechanic got our trailer in and found the wire that was loose and he fixed it. And connected a semi to the trailer to see if all the light's work and they all did even the brake and signal's. And Jesse was like that's good. He replaced 2 bulb's. That was supposed to be white and he replaced them with yellow. And he facetimed Jesse. And Jesse was like why are they yellow and not white. And something was said and my grandma was like hey language. And i appeared and the mechanic was like sorry Nana. Jesse said what happened and the mechanic was like $#@1 dammit wrong bulb's. He replaced them with white one's. We follow James Pretty also and Jesse was like dam he can sell those motor's for $$$$$$$.Steve what's the heaviest haul u ever done with driving Orwell going up steep hill's? That's why we like our trailer. So we can back into loading dock's. And it's easier for the forklift operator. Hopefully that driver that got hurt is doing good. We are happy our driver is doing good and he's happy being back at work. And is very happy that we paid his bill's for him like house payment and electric and other stuff. And he paid us back when he got released from the hospital.
What transmissions are in Lazarus and Elvira? Will the 13 speed from James be a back-up for more than just Orwell? Really looking forward to seeing the blue trailer completed & in service.
Great video Steve. So how was the aluminum step deck? Me personally, i don't like when the trailer airs down every time the break is set, and taking corners real slow.. But its a whole lot better then taking the double drop apart multiple times
fyi here in west TN lexington TN reeves brothers trucking is closing private own company. they small hometown business. they are auctioning off all there trucks and over 300 vans trailers these are up to date trucks and trailers . all models . buy a truck and a van send some kid out of driving school to haul. or do the op to buy program if they sign the papers REEVES BROTHER TRUCKING Lexington, TN online auction only. 200 trucks 300 vans.
Steve - what app are you using for navigation? It sounded like a Google Maps voice, but I have not heard that app call out railroad crossings. Keep up the great road and shop content!
Straight flatbeds are great for long objects like trusses and drill pipe for oil wells and for hauling smaller trailers. Step deck trailers are great for hauling taller items.
Only dry vans and reefers get locked into docks, usually by clamping onto the Mansfield bar on those trailers(drop bumper, reinforced, keeps cars from running under the rear axle)
Yo My man .. How in the hell are you living ? Your out driving around in your Bedroom with your Bed not squared away Damn bro ? Not for nothing but I could have hauled that with my old ass 3/4 ton K30 with Dana rears ... Why bother with the other 14 wheels & tires ...
I also like when u do the shop video's as well, it breaks it up
hope ya get your painted trailer up and going soon, will be nice to see a blue trailer back there
I can’t wait to see Orwell hooked up to the new painted trailer it’s going to be some serious eye candy!!!!
My favorite truck driver never fails with the amazing content @FSCTRUCKING can’t wait to see what’s to come in the future
Thumbs up 👍 I hope the other driver is doing better!

Dothan, AL here checking in!!!
Steve ,Chris, Jen, you all make a great Team! 😊
Hey Steve
Have you maybe considered getting a yard horse for Chris, so he has something to move trailers around in case Orwell is on the road.
Thanks for the video. Great filming as always.
I miss driving old coe trucks.

nice mate
Heavy haul is when you need a service truck to follow you and change your u-joints every 200 miles.
Hi FSC
Badger does good work
This would have been the perfect situation for Elaine...I'm sure Chris would enjoy driving a 4-6 hour round trip and meet you in southern wisconsin.
The old claw wave lol that's funny ssst

Well backed! We don't see you hitting docks like that very much. Did you start out doing reefer when you started trucking or have you always been a flatbed guy?
Started with vans. Then pneumatic tankers. Reefers after that.

Hello Steve, what part of Florida are you bound to?
This was months ago
Steve - what app are you using for navigation? It sounded like a Google Maps voice, but I have not heard that app call out railroad crossings. Keep up the great road and shop content!
I don't understand the reason for airbags dumping every time the brakes are set.
what is better a straight flatbed or a step deck?
Both trailers have their pros and cons
Straight flatbeds are great for long objects like trusses and drill pipe for oil wells and for hauling smaller trailers. Step deck trailers are great for hauling taller items.
When you were hauling 100,000 pounds of freight, what kind of gas mileage did you get? 🚛
Steve how come you drive a cabover for everything. And don't have a conventional truck to do most of the hauling?
We are working on a conventional. Orwell was purchased for its vintage and simplicity.
Hey Steve just curious him many miles does Orwell have on him? He runs very well for his just a little curious?
Does the injured o/o get compensated for use of his trailer?
😑👍👍👍👍👍
did the dock lock your trailer?
Only dry vans and reefers get locked into docks, usually by clamping onto the Mansfield bar on those trailers(drop bumper, reinforced, keeps cars from running under the rear axle)
Yo My man .. How in the hell are you living ? Your out driving around in your Bedroom with your Bed not squared away Damn bro ? Not for nothing but I could have hauled that with my old ass 3/4 ton K30 with Dana rears ... Why bother with the other 14 wheels & tires ...
Because you didn't. You talked about it. I actually did it.
First lol
What’s so funny
@Adam-x4b nothing just seems like the first person always says first. Which I find funny.
