Who cares how inexpensive it was to fix. It will never be as reliable as it was new and where i live it will cost 4-6 times per month just to have insurance coverage on it which means if you keep it for more than 4 years it'll end up being MORE expensive than buying new. I work for a shop that specializes in fixing salavage builds from snake dealers who do this crap and it has never once panned put for the customers who buy these vehicles. Not one time have I ever seen a successful, SAFE, totalled rebuild pan out. You are a liar spreading missinformation to the masses. Just because it is less expensive now doesn't mean it will be down the road. I can not stand these con videos and people who brag about "how it worked for them". Until I see it in person 10 years down the road, have less than or equal too maintenance and insurances costs I'll be calling you a liar.

@@gteixeira He probably bought the "rolled truck" for 15-20k maybe another 15k with parts/paint and his own time. That's way cheaper than a brand new one and with the way that awesome truck was rebuilt it will definitely be one the road alot longer than these new ones.

Wow, I watched a few UA-cam channels where people were rebuilding salvage vehicles and other vehicles that were involved in accident/collisions, but those guys on those channels are good in fixing and replacing damaged components on the vehicles and a few are good at using their versions of frame straightening devices to pull out damage/adjust and straighten out the vehicle, but usually they will take their vehicle to a paint shop or a vehicle collision repair shop to place the vehicle their working onto the frame straightening device if they don't have one to do the repairs. I have to say, SalvageMasterV its obvious and quite clearly your above the level of Master Mechanic/Body Repair Expert. This man does everything and wow was I surprised. SalvageMaster, you do exceptional work and its a pleasure watching a Master Automotive Technicion who's well rounded and an expert in all areas of Automotive repair do the things you do. Excellent work, your a very talented gifted expert, I'd say your more like a gifted artist that can look at veicles that have been destroyed and envision a beautiful piece of completed art work when your done. I bought a 2007 Chevy Silverado with minor Collison damage. 24 hours after and anxious to get started with Collison repair, it wouldn't start (battery cable and cable port issue). I have no car knowledge but I was looking forward to snatching broken parts, researching those parts and trying to reinstall all of them myself. Because it wouldn't crank the guy that sold me the Silverado traded me for an 2010 Altima. I would of loved to learn how to rebuild a salvage vehicle. It look so cool and makes you feel less vunerable to high price vehicle repair labor, on top of buying all aftermarket parts. THIS MAKES YOUR PAGE ONE OF MY FAVORITE ON YT (Subscribed)

I know, I was making a dig about gmc/Chevy never painting or coating their frames. It's a shame they don't, and its a shame he didn't do it when he had the chance.
Is it worth it? I ask myself that because I have absolute respect for this work. I can imagine that it is also a kind of hobby, but how much money do you put into this project in that case?
$10 grand plus another 25 for tools & equipment he used. I'd do it if I had access too a frame straightener, gantry crane, & a boatload of time & energy. He definitely spent months on end & had multiple locations where he had access to equipment most don't have.
Usually they buy a couple wrecked/flooded rigs at insurance auctions. Turn a couple into one. Laborious, yes. But not as expensive as you’d think. Tons of our Russian and Ukrainian folks here in Alaska do this as a living. One guy I knew would buy four or five of the same model, then turn them into two or three. He then sold them on his car lot. Seemed to be doing ok.

I love how he cleaned every bracket and bolt and repainted it but didn't take the time to paint the frame when it was separated from the body 🤣🙄

I know, I was making a dig about gmc/Chevy never painting or coating their frames. It's a shame they don't, and its a shame he didn't do it when he had the chance.

Low cost compared to new and even good used trucks. Plus it’s fun.
Maybe cuz they love that truck they probably have good memories in that truck that they don’t want to just leave and forget about them

Great work, but ill not buy it for no more then 10k, it's still a salvage/rebuild title.
$10 grand plus another 25 for tools & equipment he used. I'd do it if I had access too a frame straightener, gantry crane, & a boatload of time & energy. He definitely spent months on end & had multiple locations where he had access to equipment most don't have.

Usually they buy a couple wrecked/flooded rigs at insurance auctions. Turn a couple into one. Laborious, yes. But not as expensive as you’d think. Tons of our Russian and Ukrainian folks here in Alaska do this as a living. One guy I knew would buy four or five of the same model, then turn them into two or three. He then sold them on his car lot. Seemed to be doing ok.

If you have the space to store the vehicles and work on them and the tools, I can see doing that. Those Russians and Ukrainians are not stupid people. They've learned to work with what they have and make it work. 👍😉

Looks like this one rolled and then had a small fire on the driver's side. Probably didn't cost more than $5-7k at auction.
After watching that, and i mean wow, i can appreciate just a little more, now, why these machines cost 50 Grand. There's A LOT of crap mashed and bolted together. Whew

@@dragoniousmaximus7304 you must have never flipped cars before. I do all the time. This truck is not worth 35k. Max 25k. If you put 25k into a salvage truck that worth 25k, plus time, health and frustration. it’s not worth it.

I’ll buy myself and sell fender bender, scratched quick and easy money vehicles. Bought and fixed in one week and sold on second week.
