Hey buddy. Funny story. I did this job one time on a customer's truck with the head on and secured them with rubber bands. Pulled the cam went to bed. Came back the next day and one of the dang rubber bands had broke!!!!! Luckily somehow by the grace of God I had used two different rubber bands on each set and one rubber band was still intact and the two lifters didn't fall. Now I used two good strong zip ties on each set. Keep up the good work. Love your channel

All you had to do is loosen the motor mounts and lift the engine slightly and cam ill come out. Do it at least once a month at work
Greg,great video! both cams are steel. One is forged "the one with rough texture" and the other is ground from billet....if I'm not mistaken. The steel is hardened to be able to take the ware.

So cut and weld a square tubing to a jack? Grind a C cut, around bolts (one side only) and fold it up enough then pull cross piece out, then putting back in hammer down line up holes and bolt up and not to much stress so ur choice to tac weld it back or snug bolts and cut piece folds back perfect

After I get that damn Front Crossmember out I always trim it right up to the rivnuts on both sides and cut one side on the front at a 45 degree angle to help it slide back in easier.
You know how easy it is to pull the cab on those? It's so much easier to work on the engine with the truck out of the way

Greg, Have you thought of adding the lockout hubs to the tow rig? Ramman Inc has factory style hubs that will unlock the front axle giving you another 2-3 mpg, and make it easier to steer the truck as well when not in 4wd.
I have lockouts on my 02. Don't really see much difference and steer seems same. Did it for fact of getting rid of the sorry bearings they have.
harbor freight extendable magnets work good for tappets
Know where to find a brake booster for the old 1st gens I’ve been having trouble finding one
Use a heat gun on the pvc pipe , leave it narrow at the end so that if you bend a little over you can still easily feed into opening.
When you have to many cans laying around and grab the wrong one lol

Do you have the interior of the sleeper from the peterbilt
Looks like you have a quarter of an inch on both ends of that front reinforcement bar you could shave off, then you won't have to spread it apart as much
What is the part number for the tappet install kit
What is a good place to have your injectors checked and maybe rebuilt? Love watching your videos, lots of info for us guys do it your selfers.
I use M&D Distributors in Houston, TX. They are Bosch approved to test your injectors to Bosch specs. They are also reasonably priced. I'm sure there are many more out there but I like the service they provide and approved by Bosch.
Ive usually just sent mine to exergy. Don at F1 will go through injectors also.
How much does it cost? For checking them and for a rebuild

I'm looking at getting an 06 Cummins it has sport/stock mirrors do I go with third/second gen tow mirrors or 4th gen tow mirrors
James Vlogs the bases where they mount on the doors are different on the 4th gens (different shape) get tow mirrors for a 3rd gen. I was gifted a set of 4th gen mirrors, they won’t just mount up
