I went to school in Crowthorne, the village where Broadmoor’s located. Every Monday at 10am they test the hospital escape sirens for one minute. A memorable moment of my earlier school years. A very loud, very clear, deafening sound, which we had to sit through each week like it was a normal thing.
What an incredible audit, John was fantastic and is a credit to Broadmoor, the coppers were excellent tool well done all, the best audit I've ever watched👍
John is a nice genuine person who I personally know. Some of you calling him a patient because hes been nice are gross and need to revalidate your life.
You get some trolls on here being stupid. John is a lovely person, an asset to the hospital. I thought that he was brilliant with DJE and I am sure that DJE appreciated the tour at the end. I found it highly interesting 😊😊😊
Surely a company looking at these videos would see that lads approach that puts the hospital in a good light, rather than the bully boy tactics from other places, he was a credit to his role, also the Police handled themselves well.
Well, very informative visit and excellent discussion with the ‘guide’ John. He was an impressive staff member who deserves recognition and I hope his bosses appreciate his approach and contribution. Top guy!
How many immigrants would the old Broadmoor be able to house and how much of a saving would that be on our ecconomy? Give the job to John, he'd keep everyone happy.
Lest we forget, Broadmoor 'Secure' Hospital allowed Jimmy Savile unfettered access to all parts of the hospital, with Savile even having his own set of keys!
And Jimmy also took the school children of the primary school there to Windsor safari park unattended on a number of occasions 😢 and other activities, the sad truth is the authorities knew and still stood by and let him have access to the many innocent people 😡

I kind of miss that place, although it could get violent and noisy at times I almost always felt fairly safe there from what I can remember of my time there, amazing to see it from a different angle though!!!!!
Yes but I was sent there by the NHS rather than the ministry of justice, I was detained for multiple suicide attempts including two where I had to be resuscitated, in addition to extreme psychosis partially caused by a allergy to medication, but also due to mental health problems, I was transferred there from another unit and stayed for a year which by broadmoor standards is no time at all, some of my fellow patients are still there, but I was in a bad way back then, but broadmoor one hundred percent saved my life and enabled me to turn things around, if I hadn't gone there I definitely wouldn't be here today, I'd be six feet under, but it is not a place you want to go voluntarily it is a very, very tough place to be, I mean they have at least one riot squad and extremely high levels of staffing!
So I will answer this in parts, most of my time was in the most secure part of the old hospital but I moved to the new hospital before it fully opened and was on a short-term rehabilitation unit, I didn't see too much of the hospital as I barely left my room because when I was in the most secure part I needed ten staff and a dog handler just to open my door, the new hospital was absolute luxury compared to the old hospital which in my section had no windows for patients to help prevent escapes, the old hospital had barred Windows that didn't open, the new hospital in my old section has special windows that have special grates on the inside, they are much nicer than the bars as patients can open and close their own windows, each low and medium security section has a enclosed garden just for that unit, in the old hospital most units shared a garden/courtyard, however in the old hospital until I reached medium/low security the only real therapy I was able to access was animal therapy, in the new hospital I had access to almost every therapy programme on offer, in regards to making a documentary about broadmoor I don't know if it would affect my own mental health and therefore I would be reluctant to do so, part of the problem is that I can still be recalled to broadmoor although it is extremely unlikely
Well, i really enjoyed that video, DJE. I honestly thought at one point you was going to spoil it by looking for a reaction from someone. But it went good and I've learnt something that I didn't know yesterday. Good vid 💪
