  • When a company like Microsoft invests in turning their colossal product Minecraft into a movie franchise, Minecraft; a product beloved by millions worldwide, one would think that a movie based on the game would aim for mass appeal, right?-capturing not just the 12 year old's, but anyone who has ever played the blocky game, yeah?
    According to Kotaku, no, you'd be wrong, "Sorry, The Minecraft Movie Isn't Meant To Be For You." Well, that can't be right.
    Upon the release of the upcoming Minecraft movie featuring Jason Momoa as Masculine GameStop Customer, and Jack Black as Steve, there was a very clear consensus that this movie looks truly terrible. Minecraft, the game, has a unique aesthetic to it; that makes it look like Minecraft. We've seen creators online make Minecraft shorts and skits playing on the idea of Minecraft in live action that look leagues better than anything in this trailer.
    The designs of the creatures looks awful and unappealing to everyone seeing this trailer, but then we get access media journalists like John Walker at Kotaku who are ready to gaslight you that you gut reaction that this Minecraft trailer is awful is actually wrong and you should feel bad about it.
