Great cover. Sometimes the pause and spaces makes the difference in the same kind of pattern. Like how you jam this song. Also cool the backyard setting. Great dose of vit d. Keep rocking bass master.
The most bada*s treatment the D has ever gotten in a song!! That was so cool, man. And you know what... it takes SO much discipline to ONLY play that one note for 4 minutes. It's so easy to get carried away and feel tempted to add even just the octave here and there. Fantastic job, Thom. Another catchy song by Fontaines as well. The line "life ain't always empty" is gonna be stuck in my head for a while. P. s. Trevor was adorable when he came over to join the jam 😃 Awesome cover, my friend! BASS ON!!!!
Thanks so much Dani! Another good song by Fontaines DC. And I love that it’s only one note. Thanks for appreciating that. If you get a chance watch the video about one note bass lines that is linked in the description. Very interesting stuff. BASS ON!!
Thank you Sean. This song was too good to pass up. It's a good one to practice timing and picking. Thanks for watching! I appreciate the support and comment. Cheers!
Thank you so much Raquel. It was a beautiful day outside to play. Haha, yeah, and Trevor enjoyed it too. Thanks so much for watching and for your support. It's always appreciated.
Hello Trevor ! 😃 Hello le soleil ! Hello Thomas "open air" ! 😗
Merci Erwan. It was a beautiful day to be outside. Unfortunately the weather has now turned steamy and hot as summer has settled in. 🥵 Maybe I will do some more recording outside when it turns nice again. Thank you for watching! I appreciate your support my friend.
😂😂😂 Definitely the best comment so far! 😂😂😂 That made me laugh. Thanks Neil. This song was too good not to play. I love simple bass lines, and this is the simplest. I actually always wished to write a song with a single note. Came close once, with my old band and a single note throughout the verses. If you have time, check out the link in the description to other one note bass lines. It's an interesting idea. Thanks so much for watching, mate! I appreciate your support.
@@neilmorrow9756 Interesting indeed. For the bass, it would play around the chord sequence, like in this one. I just did a quick search and there are some one chord songs. Usually played around a guitar riff. In a similar way, Mysterious Ways is a one bass riff song. Just played over and over.

@@thomasfioriglio that would be rather hard to write a song with one chord or note. Interesting 🤔

@@karloditomasso My pleasure. I always like when one of my comments gets acknowledged. I think it's the least any creator of content can do.
What? Are you using a regular pick?
Yep, regular pick on this one. Dunlop Nylon 1.14 mm
@@thomasfioriglio i like too that thickness and brand, but i go with the tortex TIII.
