- In order to change the timing chain some specialty tools are really helpful. We picked up this toss that on eBay, a lot of the tools we didn’t use, but the tools we did certainly worked well. It might be cheaper to find a set that is specific to your car. The gauge in ours did come broken, we got the chain installed without it and the car ran really well.

Question you said take off the Tensioner but right after you showed it being taken off it was back in when you were taking the chains off so does it need to be on again before you take the chains off?
Correction 07:03 it is not only the water pump it is also a balance shaft!
This is an honest video brother. Please I want to rebuild my 2.0t tsi engine, but I am not sure how to unmount and remove the engine. Any help with that will be greatly appreciated
What part of the engine are you rebuilding. Just curious what part of the engine is bad the piston rings or the valves in the head.

For anyone else that's wondering. He's not using the Amazon kit that link just gets him paid. Tool kit he uses is a better oe alternative. T40271-T10355-KIT
Not sure if I would go through all that work with trust in a $200 kit. Considering OEM is around $700.
I bought the kit on Amazon and it lasted 9 months.😒
