Very helpful video Mr. Electron! I just saved the new alternator from my old car that I finally junked at the junkyard. I think it is a 75 Amp alternator, which at 12 volts would be around 900 watts of electric power. Nice!

Mount it on a pole or post with three or four long blades and it becomes a wind generator. It can charge a 12v battery bank and an inverter could be used to transform to AC if needed.
Nice video...ok but what would happen if we remove all that regulator and rectifier from back side....what ac volt and amps would it give...?

SO, you lite up a light bulb for about 15 seconds with a hand pull, you still have to power the thing to have any continuous power, unless you set there pulling on the thing until your arm falls off. You still have a BIG problem of powering the thing.
A little tip. Just use a socket and a drill. Much easier to turn the alternator.
Great video, one question I have, how do you connect a battery to load it? The way you connected the lamp? Sorry, I'm a beginner.
connect the positive terminal of the field winding to the positive battery and let the other terminal of the battery touch the alternator casing. It will load the field winding with charge and allow current generation by the other coils.

How many horse power electric motor ac or dc to spin the alternator after field wires have been energized? Then you can run dc house current even when the solar panels not getting sun

Hey brother can you make a version of a generator that’s self perpetuating using 90 V treadmill motor and a car alternator or possibly elaborate on a car alternator how to get 120 V AC ? How to convert three phase or rectifier or using a transformer or something I’m basically trying to make like a 10,000 W generator that’s mostly perpetual or self perpetuating. You say you got 10 volts at 9 amps. But these were measured separately. It's easy to get 10 volts into a high resistance multimeter, but what's the voltage when you are pulling 9 amps? I suspect you have little knowledge. And how will you charge car batteries? Will you sit pulling the string all day?

Oh dear, where do I start... In the intro, you said the windings are 3 phase star, they are actually 3 phase delta... You haven't disconnected the built in regulator of the alternator so as soon as you start generating, the alternator feeds its own supply to the rotor, if you are lucky this will be less than the voltage from your lipo, but you could well have a higher voltage that might set fire to the lipo, either way that lipo pack is a fire waiting to happen without any protection circuit.
When you measured the current it was into pretty much a short circuit so any power calculations you do from that are meaningless (9.18a at a small fraction of a volt equates to a couple of Watts at best).
Don't kid yourself into thinking it's possible to get more power out of a system than what is put in. It simply defies the simple laws of physics. Over-unity is in the same camp as believing the earth is flat.
