I find this funny, an alternator is made to create electricity for your vehicle. That's what it does, you didn't make it do that, it is made to do it already.

Gd day, vry good job!!!, in my conclusion to ur research, i just attach 4, 2N&2S magnets to my car alternator to increase it watts or Amps?, my suzuki jimny is 50Amps/ somewhere 60watts,,,, in that case i can parallel 2 -12v 40A battery for camping!! W/ back-up 100W solar cell/ charger will stationary,,,,
Hello Mr. How i am working on a project using dc motor to drive a generator coil, then i connected car alternator with belt to charge the battery. But the problem i am having right now is i dont know how to connect the car alternator to feed the dc motor so as to allow the battery to rest. Please help
As far as I know those car alternators control the excitation current going through the rotor (ca. 5 A) to keep the output voltage constant. This voltage must not exceed 13,6 V due to the car battery. As well it must be kept over a minimum level to make sure that the car battery gets loaded and not exhausted.
thinking of building this, because a 124 volt AC charger and battery charger takes a long time to charge 12 volt systems when just a car jumped to the batteries charges it much faster, less power needed. but nobody builds a self powered alternator for under a thousand dollars.

What's mentioned in the title is the rating of the alternator and not what i am generating here in the video. 12v 90 Amps. The same goes for video thumbnail.
