Nice job on the rollback throttle issue! Does it also work well if standing on a hill like when it needs to overcome a larger force, like the stock controller does perfectly? I've been busy finetuning an ASI controller that came with a horrible setup, but the rollback throttle response isn't there yet. At least the ASI controller is capable of having a good rollback throttle response, that's good to know :)
Yeah most ASI sellers (maybe 80-90% of the kits out there) they can’t figure out the rollback parameters so if you’re on a hill and stop and hit the throttle the bike doesn’t even move at all and they need to push the bike forward a bit using their legs then the bike power kicks in… so bad and very frustrating and annoying. The EBMX tune and ELMOFO motorcycles both companies I work for are perfect. I’m very close to ASI and have been working with their engineers since 2015 when they only had a very small BAC800 for small ebikes so I’m very familiar with programming these controllers =] Sadly I have contracts with both companies and I’m now allowed to share the tuning secrets. I have access to pretty much all other ASI sellers tunes and they’re all very very basic just have motor and throttle basic setup and that’s it! The EBMX tune we have about 35 parameters working together, 10 months invested fine tuning getting feedback from proper pro riders and beginners too and coming up with something that everyone likes! I’m making an app for EBMX and we may be selling our tune so people stuck with badly tuned controllers, lots of bugs… they will have the option to upgrade =]
It would be cool if you could gear down the power in steps like a bafang with switches like 1-9 like a transmission but electronic lol 😊 but always like seeing you go nuts bruno on the ebikes
Can you guys make a video about how you plug lights, signal lights, brake light for a street legal surron with bac 4000 or bac 8000? I dont know how to do it? Thx for all your videos and info you guys apport to the surron comunity!! 🤟🏻
I can confirm, its ALOT of power. I got the bike a few days ago and I havent gone higher than power mode 3 :P And I usually ride a 750cc sport bike Thanks for the build you guys are awesome
Yeeeeeaahhhh.. hahahahhaa nice to see happy riders like you coming here and leaving some AWESOME feedback like that hahaaa.. its hard for people to understand just by watching videos how CRAZY its mode 4 and 5... SOOOOO MUCH POWEEEEEERRRR =]
I'm pushing 12.6kw on my ERT BAC4000 Light Bee and it is nuts how powerful it is I can't even imagine how much 15kw would be like. But yeah I feel about 10kw is just about right for offroad, for race track 12kw is nice, might be better with more.
Yeeeeaaahh now imagine an extra 2.5kW and DOUBLE the phase amps (double the torque and acceleration) it’s kinda ridiculous and crazy how much power this whole thing can deliver… even experienced MX riders can’t believe how crazy that is… too much POWEEEEERRRRR hahaha but it feels AWESOME!! =]
Hahahahahaha yeahh mate these bikes are a real weapon with 15kW 600 phase amps and powerful big battery. We actually dropped phase amps from 800 down to 600 because it was impossible to keep the bike down like ridiculously crazy.. hahahaha soooooo much POWEEEEEEEEEEER ohh yeaahh
Yeaaahh too much POWEEEEERRR for such short wheel base… gotta be very very skilled to keep that front wheel from down specially with the BAC8000 72v battery
This is exactly what i want in my shop with my friends, selling Sur Rons and having a blast making YT/FB videos. might give it a go next year IF the garage is done.

You can buy the original Surron and starting upgrading bit by bit… installing the high power controller + display kit, then add new high power battery… EBMX sells complete upgraded bikes here in Australia and has dealers all over the world who can help with these upgrades
Yeaaaahhhh you should see the “2-stroke or 4-stroke” rider’s faces after riding the BAC8000 with high power battery… priceless… they just can’t believe… soooooooo much POWEEEERRRRR
Check out HI Powered Cycles novelty electric bike called the Typhoon Pro. 26x4 rear tire 27.5 in front. It uses a Hub drive but placed in the bottom bracket as it is a mid drive bike. I think it is the very best you can buy.
Hey Bruno..i have one of your stage 1 bac4 kits.i have a bypassed battery and have only ever seen 5700 watts on the screen.i ordered your new 50ah battery, will it be waaayyy faster with the new battery?or will the controller need a new flash?
Yeah EBMX sells the bikes already built with all these upgrades… big motorcycle wheels, big 72v battery, big BAC8000 controller… instagram.com/ebmxtreme?
have you considered implementing a "virtual clutch" to help people get used to the transition from petrol to electric? also, any plans to add foot-actuated rear brakes?
I have lots of dirt bike friends saying the exact the same thing until the start riding electric.... personally, I don't like the idea of making things to transform a good electric motorcycle into an old dirt bike tech... the old school dirt bike guys need to be more open to new things that makes sense like foot brake doesn't make sense and its just like that because petrol bikes need hand clutch... electric doesn't need clutch so bring that brake back to the handlebars. Electric drive is ridiculously powerful and adjustable, can make super smooth and also brutal on the top end, it makes no sense making any clutch, maybe different power modes... Usually pro riders see advantages using hand read brake and no clutch, it pretty much enables them to free up their feet so they can corner much sharper without compromises. Geoff Ballard - Senior Pro Rider review, he talks abou the advantages of having a free feet during ride: instagram.com/tv/CLqrYPChwyL/?
hahahahahahahaha... both of us got no hair... its funny... the older I get the less hair on top and more growing on my shoulders... its almost like I roode too fast and all the hair "moved" around a bit hahahahaha
Interesting vid. I built a 15kw ebike and it lifts the front wheel at less than 50% throttle. Ancient 72200 controller with poor throttle control model. VESC for the win.
Ohhh yeaaahh sounds like you actually know what 15kW electric feels like hahah isn’t this INSANE? People have absolutely no idea until the get on the bike and actually ride it… sooo much POWEEEEEEEERRR
These bikes are quite small from factory but there are lots of tall riders out there making super clever extenders growing the bike from all angles… at work we’ve just made a really tall and long one with big moto wheels and it’s kinda crazy how much the bike grows with these accessories.
Heeeeey mate!! I tried to make subtitles in English or enable a feature that auto-generate subtitles then it could be translated to French but…. Turns out that it doesn’t really work well and picks up lots and lots of wrong words. The other option is to manually add subtitles typing word by word and posting frame by frame which is craaaazy time consuming =/ I’ll do some more research and see if I can find something and easier method =]
Hahahahahaha yeaahhh I haven’t posted much here lately but EBMX channel they always post me chatting about bikes etc… I need to make videos actually riding these monsters and fingers crossed I don’t brake any bones… sooooo much POWEEEEEERRR ohh yeaaahh =]
haha yeah this is what happens to most people, the bike is so powerful that you just can't handle at full power and after a few minutes you just drop from mode 5 down to 3... I know how to empty any battery pretty quickly... even the Surron Storm Bee I managed to quickly drain that big battery from 100 down to 50% "drag-racing myself" over and over again hahaha =] Even petrol will do the same, fuel consumption goes crazy and you quickly empty the tank...
Once you have the BAC8000 and the big battery your next bottle neck is not even the battery, the motor getting too hot and controller reducing power to protect is the next "drama" but yeah.. 80% of the riders will be exhausted at that stage haha
Woooww thats a siiiiick video mate.. handling 15kw is not for everyone... most people would flip the bike at that power level hahaa soooo much POWEEEEEEERRR ohh yeahh ohh yeahh SUBSCRIBED to your channel yess.... *one observation I would like to make here is the phase amps, the BAC8000 set to 600-650 phase and same 15kW feels like 50% more powerful acceleration than the 24F Nucular... I used to tune the bikes to 800 phase but these little short wheel base and lightweight Surron bikes became more like a mono-wheel hahaha.. I love the Nuculat 24F, I had some serious chats with Vasily (Nucular engineer/owner) asking to match up the BAC8000 and ramp up the production but... not happening for now unfortunately...
Ohhh yeaahh these bikes are geared for off-road but easily reaching 100kmh… the big batteries we showed there packs a LOT more energy than the original batteries nearly double I think. I haven’t done a range test yet but I’m pretty sure 100km maybe more
Yeaahhh massive difference in acceleration between BAC4000 and BAC8000 at the same wattage!!! BAC4000 is good for about 400 phase amps and 15kW, can go up to 430 but higher than 400 controller is likely to get phase errors, you jump on the BAC8000 bike (same wattage) and set it to 500 phase amps and your first impression is WOOOOOOWWW the bike accelerates MUCH faster then you increase to 550… 600… every 50 to 100 increment makes a huge difference… if you have a good battery can go up to 810A but it’s ridiculous and the front of the bike is nearly permanently up in the air hahaha 600 is the best for Surron… then you go back to the BAC4000 at 400 phase amps same wattage 15kW and the bike feels so weak and slow Sellers keep pushing BAC4000 because it’s 35% cheaper so with the same money they can order a lot more controllers from ASI… I would always pick the BAC8000 for Surron =]
Most people don't understand the electric power till they ride it. I have a 2400 continuous watt, 5400 peak watt, 60v, 80 kilometer per hour scooter, and I'm still getting used to it. It's more than enough power for a scooter.
@@landonferguson7282 wish I could afford a bbshd with a 72v battery for 4000w setup not sure if that's continuous or peak. But the torque is insane. I almost bought a surron. But then I ended up buying a motorbike instead. Some dreams just remain dreams.
I don't understand why people don't make ebikes in the all-wheel drive? And have the option to have rear-wheel on only or both wheels on. Having both wheels on in deep sand, mud, or street.
We never had throttle issues.. the new ASI firmware introduced a "fix" to help other people having problems out there and that introduced a delay in our tune but it took me 1 day to fix that and make all back to normal. The problem is that most people don't know the advanced settings and only do the very basic setup. We tune about 40 parameters and they all work together
@@BrunoPOWEEER thanks for the answer. I know how much time and effort you put in your work and it comes to an excellent result. The thing with throttle delay or throttle response is critical for offroad conditions, specially in jumps. I've had some scary moments on my e-bike due to this. I my case I had to change the controller because I was using a sine wave controller that would not allow to change or modify the initial current setup. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BRUNO. and give it full POWEEERRRRR!!!!!
Is the bike still under warranty? Where are u located? If you’re in Australia drop an email to sales@ebmx.com.au If you’re not in Australia contact Delfast directly and they will direct you to your closest dealer
Unfortunately the Delfast representatives sent me 2 places closet to where I live. One being Indianapolis the other being In Lousville, Kentucky. Neither would work on Delfast bikes. The same place Delfast representatives told me would help. Delfast won't even let me ship bike back for a fix. I'm willing to pay out of warranty so I can at least ride and they won't even let me ship it back to them. They're warranty is 6 WEEKS... you heard that assuring number right 6!!!! That's how great of a product they back up.... a 6 week warranty.... forget to mention it takes 6 months wait before you even receive bicycle.
I have every email I've sent with company back and fourth. It's pretty hallarious emails they can't own up to there problems, They act like they don't even have 1.
woooww.. thats pretty baaaaad... 6 weeks warranty is awful.. we had one bike here at the workshop last Christmas, lots of weird intermittent problems, we contacted Delfast and they quickly offered us to be the Australian service and I said "NO"... then the bike came back a few more times and no much help from them so we gave up... generic chinese controller the only solution was to scrap heaps of parts and start from scratch but yeah lots of labour and that would cost too much, told the guy to sell the bike cheap and get something else... pretty helpless chatting with them I found...
Yeaahhh.. we are definetely looking into something like that already... there are asome weird extensions out there but too weird.. need a proper one designed form scratch =]
Yeeeaahh... this is the idea... eventually we will start running some promotions here but the only downside is that once I start doing too much promotion like that people think that I am getting paid to say good things about the kits and the bikes and the companies... I just need to find a good balance and yeah I will chat with the bosses and see, you could be the lucky winner haha =]
Why ??too speed not really important. It’s about how quick you get there. Sprocket size determines top speed 130kph possible but not recommend that set up. 🤨
hahahahahaa yeahhhh this was just a suyper informal video at work.... I was trying to be more "normal" and fit in with the other normal people hahahahaha... but yeahh soooo much POWEEEEEEEEERRRRR ohhh yeaahhhh =]
Their KO motor can only handle up to 20kW tested in real life… also all their advertised numbers are absolute peak for the first few seconds when the battery is fully charged so pretty unrealistic numbers (unfortunately). KO stuff is awesome, glad they’re pushing the industry forward pumping some sexy and POWERFUL gear =] but yeah 20kW will melt the stock Surron or Talaria power wires so you need to run new wires too
Lots of Volts and lots of Battery Amps… lots of Phase amps… field weakening which is the controller tricking the motor pretending that got a much higher voltage battery and that gives a crazy super high RPM ohh yeaahh
Imagine the torque you get at high rev all the time and imagine all 5 gears (the torque of the 1st gear and the top speed of the 5th gear) and a bike that is about 60-65kg… it’s brutal!! I also install that same motor controller on full MX kits for Honda and Yamaha about 95kg and they also pull hard!!! But these little and lightweight Surron bikes can accelerate harder from a stop it’s much harder to flip a 116kg than a 65kg… the 65kg accelerates faster with less energy too… it’s hard to imagine how brutal without being on the bike… it’s like watching people accelerating Teslas and actually being inside the Tesla and feeling it in real life is absolutely crazy
I’m making a road bike around 120kg with my mate and it’s 52kW peak and all the 1200cc riders who tried that bike said that it feels like double the torque compared to big sport bikes and crazy how you can have the monster torque of first gear and top speed of fifth gear on a single throttle twist… they all say that they never felt anything like that before
@@BrunoPOWEEER Thats true, its just one register, electric is amazing. thx for all the content ur putting out! Ur tune seems rly nice! what rear tires are u running on these sur ron?

I would love to have lots of other options out there but all VESCs out there aren’t really rugged enough and suitable for dirtbike punishment and they won’t deliver 840 phase amps up to 32kW at 72v at the same value you get from the ASI. Also I haven’t seen a proper and reliable high power and high voltage VESC, all the ones I’ve tried and my mates tried they all failed or some bugs. I would love to have an amazing VESC but… I’ve been working with ASI since 2018, I know this controller super well all the crazy advanced settings, I can make the controller super smooth but then aggressive riders won’t like it… it’s hard to find the right balance. Usually we set nice up to mode 3 and leave mode 4 and 5 tuned for the INSANE POWER that will kill even experienced riders haha What I want is a magic formula (need to add more sensors to the bike) but pretty much something like the Tesla Plaid that delivers INSANE power and any person can have total control. This is the goal =]
This is the real work! Thanks Bruno and EBMX team!

Do you know where I can buy a surron main frame from
Can you guys make a video about how you plug lights, signal lights, brake light for a street legal surron with bac 4000 or bac 8000? I dont know how to do it? Thx for all your videos and info you guys apport to the surron comunity!! 🤟🏻

I canNOT wait to get my hands on a Sur Ron next season. These guys seem to have the tune best figure out...

How's things mate?
The sting ?? Is that the taleria sting you talking about or am I wrong
Do you have a stock motor? I thought the stock motor is only rated for like 7kw?
@@JMGENTERPRISES Stock motor is rated for like 5kw, so yeah you are pushing that more than it was designed to do at 12kw it handles it nicely still.

For bruno ? Maybe 🤷♂️😂😛

Hey buddy, do you sell the sur ron already built with upgrades

Interesting vid. I built a 15kw ebike and it lifts the front wheel at less than 50% throttle. Ancient 72200 controller with poor throttle control model. VESC for the win.

@@BrunoPOWEEER I’m planning to build a 15kw pitbike. I’m just confused on what phase amps are and how they work?
Although I have a sur ron, I'm still feeling jealous seeing all those suited up sur rons🥺
Those bikes are awesome but the problem is frames are so small not for taller guy like me
These bikes are quite small from factory but there are lots of tall riders out there making super clever extenders growing the bike from all angles… at work we’ve just made a really tall and long one with big moto wheels and it’s kinda crazy how much the bike grows with these accessories.
hi bruno, please make subtitles in french
Heeeeey mate!!
I tried to make subtitles in English or enable a feature that auto-generate subtitles then it could be translated to French but…. Turns out that it doesn’t really work well and picks up lots and lots of wrong words. The other option is to manually add subtitles typing word by word and posting frame by frame which is craaaazy time consuming =/
I’ll do some more research and see if I can find something and easier method =]
How much???

It's battery life must be so little at max load. Good fun for a drag race at best.
They last longer than you do at maximum load.
@@ClaudeSac lol well played sir... Well played.
haha yeah this is what happens to most people, the bike is so powerful that you just can't handle at full power and after a few minutes you just drop from mode 5 down to 3...
I know how to empty any battery pretty quickly... even the Surron Storm Bee I managed to quickly drain that big battery from 100 down to 50% "drag-racing myself" over and over again hahaha =]
Even petrol will do the same, fuel consumption goes crazy and you quickly empty the tank...
Once you have the BAC8000 and the big battery your next bottle neck is not even the battery, the motor getting too hot and controller reducing power to protect is the next "drama" but yeah.. 80% of the riders will be exhausted at that stage haha
Hi
Watch the video and see that you have super cool tires mounted at the back

Lots of moto wheels and tire options you can get from EBMX, send them a message or check their website

Woooww thats a siiiiick video mate.. handling 15kw is not for everyone... most people would flip the bike at that power level hahaa soooo much POWEEEEEEERRR ohh yeahh ohh yeahh
SUBSCRIBED to your channel yess....
I love the Nuculat 24F, I had some serious chats with Vasily (Nucular engineer/owner) asking to match up the BAC8000 and ramp up the production but... not happening for now unfortunately...
road legal? can it get up to 80kph with 60-70km range possible?
Ohhh yeaahh these bikes are geared for off-road but easily reaching 100kmh… the big batteries we showed there packs a LOT more energy than the original batteries nearly double I think. I haven’t done a range test yet but I’m pretty sure 100km maybe more
@@BrunoPOWEEER I wanted a Zero motorcycle but they left the Australian market, this might be my next commuter :D
@@user-th6se5xw1v Do it. I'm going for a commuter battery (~4300Wh) for my Surron which makes a range of 150km possible.
Bac8000 sounds quite unnecessary, especially with some people detuning it. 4000 is a better fit.
They seemed to choose it for almost every bike they have over the 4000, so perhaps there is a reason that they prefer them?
Yeaahhh massive difference in acceleration between BAC4000 and BAC8000 at the same wattage!!!
BAC4000 is good for about 400 phase amps and 15kW, can go up to 430 but higher than 400 controller is likely to get phase errors, you jump on the BAC8000 bike (same wattage) and set it to 500 phase amps and your first impression is WOOOOOOWWW the bike accelerates MUCH faster then you increase to 550… 600… every 50 to 100 increment makes a huge difference… if you have a good battery can go up to 810A but it’s ridiculous and the front of the bike is nearly permanently up in the air hahaha 600 is the best for Surron… then you go back to the BAC4000 at 400 phase amps same wattage 15kW and the bike feels so weak and slow
Sellers keep pushing BAC4000 because it’s 35% cheaper so with the same money they can order a lot more controllers from ASI… I would always pick the BAC8000 for Surron =]
Preço
Most people don't understand the electric power till they ride it. I have a 2400 continuous watt, 5400 peak watt, 60v, 80 kilometer per hour scooter, and I'm still getting used to it. It's more than enough power for a scooter.
yeah thats pretty insane. I have only 500w scooter but its fun downhill
Much extra weight for the motor & battery?
@@BT_life2 typically, when you convert a gas powered vehicle to electric, the weight ends up being the same.
@@landonferguson7282 wish I could afford a bbshd with a 72v battery for 4000w setup not sure if that's continuous or peak. But the torque is insane.
I almost bought a surron. But then I ended up buying a motorbike instead. Some dreams just remain dreams.
@@landonferguson7282 dude it was electric to begin with.
I don't understand why people don't make ebikes in the all-wheel drive? And have the option to have rear-wheel on only or both wheels on. Having both wheels on in deep sand, mud, or street.
How do you solve the throttle delay issue?

If you’re in Australia drop an email to sales@ebmx.com.au
If you’re not in Australia contact Delfast directly and they will direct you to your closest dealer
Any suggestions? LOL 😆
I have every email I've sent with company back and fourth. It's pretty hallarious emails they can't own up to there problems, They act like they don't even have 1.
woooww.. thats pretty baaaaad... 6 weeks warranty is awful.. we had one bike here at the workshop last Christmas, lots of weird intermittent problems, we contacted Delfast and they quickly offered us to be the Australian service and I said "NO"... then the bike came back a few more times and no much help from them so we gave up... generic chinese controller the only solution was to scrap heaps of parts and start from scratch but yeah lots of labour and that would cost too much, told the guy to sell the bike cheap and get something else... pretty helpless chatting with them I found...

ohhh yeaahh... there's so much power here that burnout becomes an everyday thing hahahaa =]
need all so charger unlly power supply to the bikes
what about 40 kw with ko motto
Their KO motor can only handle up to 20kW tested in real life… also all their advertised numbers are absolute peak for the first few seconds when the battery is fully charged so pretty unrealistic numbers (unfortunately).
KO stuff is awesome, glad they’re pushing the industry forward pumping some sexy and POWERFUL gear =]
but yeah 20kW will melt the stock Surron or Talaria power wires so you need to run new wires too
All amps no volts???
Lots of Volts and lots of Battery Amps… lots of Phase amps… field weakening which is the controller tricking the motor pretending that got a much higher voltage battery and that gives a crazy super high RPM ohh yeaahh
@@BrunoPOWEEER yeah but u your still limited to 72v & 96v. I hope you get more views & subscribers so u can earn the money to get higher voltages
yeah petrol bikes, go 1-3rd gear on my ktm 530 and pull full throttle and see the delay xD, that gives you 116kg on the chest.

Yes With vesc you have Not so much work For tune!
I would love to have an amazing VESC but…
I’ve been working with ASI since 2018, I know this controller super well all the crazy advanced settings, I can make the controller super smooth but then aggressive riders won’t like it… it’s hard to find the right balance. Usually we set nice up to mode 3 and leave mode 4 and 5 tuned for the INSANE POWER that will kill even experienced riders haha
What I want is a magic formula (need to add more sensors to the bike) but pretty much something like the Tesla Plaid that delivers INSANE power and any person can have total control. This is the goal =]
