Great reaction. It was a live performance of BABYMETAL BEGINS - THE OTHER ONE CLEAR NIGHT at Pia Arena on April 2 this year. The day before this concert, it was announced that MOMOMETAL had officially joined the band.

As has been said already, this video combined visuals from the official video and from the live performance at PIA MM in Yokohama on 2nd April this year and used the live audio from that concert.
She knocks the voice bending right out of the park in "Sha ti Shanti Shanti". I really like that one too 😊

Another song with that typical wtf effect they get us used to it.
This is theur last song with official MV released this year from ttis new album The Other One.
Queen SuMetal is narrating us a King's tale of the Metal Kingdom with this psytrance mixed with middle eastern, maybe Arabian or whatever sound that looks so cool with the unique blend of BM.
This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd this year with the already new official member MomoMetal, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and coming from the same roots in Sakura Gakuin just like the girls. The Western Kami Band was performing there; the official MV got album studio sound so there's no particular credits for the instruments only the composer and lyrics, cool you found this live version with some minimal edit to dodge the YT algo.
Some fans at Sabaton's Europe Tour and later at Asian and Australian Tour were enjoying this song live, but everyone were having a blast with the new singles and classic BM songs.

Su smashed Bollywood metal with Shanti shanti shanti, had Sabaton dancing to her euro polka beat with Oh Majinai, rocked an Irish jig metal with Meta Taro, and now she's got Arabian/Egyptian metal with Metalizm... this is my fave so far from the new album... This is like a darker sister of Shanti Shanti, love the way she does that yodeling thing with vocals, the choreo looks a lot like Shanti Shanti Shanti too.🤘🦊🤘
What's so great about BABYMETAL is that they don't follow any rules, they do what they want and how they want.

And congrats, this is the first reaction ever to the actual live audio (at least, being the visuals a compilation).
Yes, they surprised us all with the use of the Phrygian dominant scale to give that Middle Eastern flavor. I'm not used to weird things, and replacing the chorus by two guitar solos is not what I normally expect. But it works pretty well for me (surprisingly).
CJ's work on those solos is outstanding. The first one is even different than the studio version, being a little bit longer. I first noticed that in concert and I initially thought I was tripping. But it was confirmed now that we have the live audio.

Great reaction! I didn’t like this song at first, but grew on me. Then loved it after hearing the live version. It is very different and unique! Love Babymetal for constantly redefining themselves.
Also, Monochrome Live from same concert is just epic. Su-Metal almost teared up during audience engagement segment (and so did I).

This is what attracts me to this band. Thanks to Babymetal (some may list others) they are not a, “one style fits all group.” They do not follow any formula, or genre. While others (most) have started with a known sound and mixed in others genres, Babymetal researches their music and mixes their knowledge with metal. They attack the problem/sound from the opposite ends of the spectrum. See kitkat’s comment on time. I’ll come back and edit. …kitsunesama has a great compilation of Monochrome from the Makuhari Messie and PIA arenas.
Too bad he used MM23 audio, I much prefer PIA audio.

Metalizm is from the the new album The Other One, and the performance was at Babymetal Begins - The Other One: Clear Night on April 2nd this year at PIA Arena MM in Yokohama. This was Momometal's first official show as a full member of Babymetal. I was at this concert and they absolutely smashed it live.
I think the guitar solo sounds better in the official video, plus it doesn't have that long pause in the beginning compared to this fan video
Nice reaction. Fun tune that I liked from the get go. Babymetal has another new song coming out August 18th or so. With Toby Morello from Rage Against the Machine. And it's called Metal. He said he wanted to do this for a long time. He's been a fan for some time now. Sounds like another great collaboration coming are way.

This video was a mashup of clips from their live performance at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama earlier this year with clips from the official MV for the song (which used the same performance but with some different shots and _a lot_ of vfx). The audio was entirely from the live performance though - the MV used the studio track. Generally if you see a Babymetal video that just says 'live' and doesn't say where it's from, it's a compilation like this one that someone made to evade copyright blocks. Generally I tend to be leery of compilations for first reactions because they can be confusing, but it's not as much of an issue with something like this one obviously.
You've checked out a couple of Su's solos (Akatsuki and Rondo of Nightmare), but a facet of Babymetal that you have yet to experience is what they call 'Black Babymetal', which is Yui and Moa performing on their own without Su. If you want to see that, I would recommend either Onedari Daisakusen live at Budokan Black Night if you want something that just won't get blocked with no additional effort, or if you're willing to do a little editing in post, you could watch the same song live at the London Forum from my channel or GJ! live at Wembley from the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel. For both of those videos, there's a link in the description to watch the video without the logo over it so you can actually see what's going on, and then you can edit the logo into your reaction video after the fact.
Excellent point. Also, most compilation videos will state which performances the video and audio is from in expanded descriptions.
And yes, official typically uses studio audio over live, not as good.

This is a video of MOMOMETAL's first live performance (4/2/2023) after becoming an official member, and is the new outfit of the new BM. The video is a mix of music video and live video, and I think the audio is a live audio device. Kami band at this concert was a god of the West.

After Metal Galaxy, Babymetal ventures out to Metal Universe. Similar structure of style to "Shanti Shanti Shanti" from their Metal Galaxy album which have Indian and Sankrit elements but with Metalizm it fuses elements in the Middle Eastern Arabia and Egyptian vibes. Very heavy instrumental and with EDM vibes.
