BABYMETAL is exploring the metal universe. They did explore the metal galaxy already...now they're onto the Metalverse...They're on another level. Soon they're Quantum BABYMETAL!
Whatever happened inside you at 1:54 is the reason why I'm flying across the Atlantic ocean to see Babymetal perform in shows that they're not even headlining.
Queen Su is narrating a tale of the King of Metal Kingdom and involves a lot of zumu zumu.🦊🤘🎸 Thanks for sharing this psytrance mixed with middle eastern vibes and the unique sound of BM. Hopefully you'll get the chance to see them live and have some fun like fans recently did at Sabaton's Europe Tour when the girls performed this live. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Metalizm was played in the two-day shows on April 1/2 so I witnessed the performance in this MV😍. Western (American) Kami Band did a great job in those shows. *************** In an interview [magazine PMC vol.27 page 42]: ◆ Su "This is the most chaotic song and classified as 'WTF" category in this album. I can't explain it properly, but I would like you to listen to it as soon as possible. And I believe this song will turn into something amazing in live performance" ◆ Moa "Song itself is, of course, good, but I assume it will give you different image when you see the choreo with live sound. So I look forward to seeing how it turn out at the venue. I wonder how the audience will react to and get excited with this song? You think so, Su?" ◆ Su "Yeah! There have never been a song of this type." = Interviewer "Flavor of Middle East, isn't it?" ◆ Su "That's right. This will be a new drawer of BABYMETAL" *************** Moa is correct. Choreo on stage by Su, Moa and Momometal was mixture of seriousness, playfulness, comicalness, therefore amazingness on top of Su's fantastic vocals and intricate guitar phrases and hefty drumming by West Kamis. The new drawer is a tribute to New BABYMETAL.
Great reaction, thanks! When they released the first singles from the new album THE OTHER ONE, many said that they were going on "safe mode", nothing crazy or excessive, and that was fair... "METALIZM" on the other hand is crazy, different, I love it and I can't wait to experience this one performed live. Until next time! 🤘🦊
So happy this one was released already. AMAZING. Those new costumes look so good in the different lights. Took on all the gold lighting and just looked majestic. That was so bad ass. I love Su's cadence in this and of course Moa and Momoko own the choreography. 🤘🦊🤘
I think the only thing they could do to make the visuals even better....would be to incorporate the Fox God(Egyptian style) into those graphics. Great one to react with...damn those drums kickass.
If you're looking for more electronic Babymetal, check out 'Believing' and 'Time Wave', they've got some very cool EDM elements. Babymetal are definitely leaning in that direction on the new album.
Great reaction. "METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song - Arabian trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘 'The One' was the last song on the second album in 2016. The Japanese edition of the album has a half and half English-Japanese version, the international edition had the full English version that the girls had challenged themselves to learn as a mark of respect and appreciation to the foreign fans who they noticed had been learning Japanese to sing along with them as they toured the world. 'The ONE' is effectively their love letter to the fans (who they also named "THE ONE"). The First Take is an "unfinished" version ie it is stripped back with piano and strings only (also it is very much shortened having just the first verse). They also do a version where it starts out acoustic or "unfinished" but the drums and guitar etc kick in about half way through. Legend S is possibly the best unfinished start going into the full version, Tokyo Dome had the extended full English version, Stairway to Living Legend probably the most emotional 'unfinished' version (a longer version of what was on The First Take).
I mean, who else could get away with this except BabyMetal? What an experience it would be to see their live show…..in Japan. I noticed they were incorporating some choreography from other songs like Karate, Megitsune and Shanti, which this song has some musical elements in both. It’s a great track.
My favourite Metal Trance and Middle Eastern style song! The audio, as in all the song MV's released from their recent concert, is actually from the excellent album but I'm sure Su's voice was excellent live. The First Take is a show where artists perform a song and they broadcast the first take, whatever it's like. Babymetal recently sang Monochrome (the MV of which was, of course, your first view of Babymetal!) on the show and it's a real jewel of a performance but, unusually, apparently, they were invited to do a second song and chose the anthem for the fans (who are called The One). Gotta recommend the live versions of The One - there are a few. 🦊🤘🤘🦊
I really dig the sound of this new album. There is definitely some new realms of sound being explored. Which isn't surprising considering how long they have been at it. It almost feels more "western" sounding, if that makes sense. As far as it being almost like a movie, Su could totally be an actress. She has the performing facial expressions for it. Most likely as some deity or even a villainess of some sort.
Su smashed Bollywood metal with Shanti shanti shanti, had Sabaton dancing to her euro polka beat with Oh Majinai, and now she's got Arabian/Egyptian metal with Metalizm... this is my fave so far from the new album... This is like a darker sister of Shanti Shanti, love the way she does that yodeling thing with vocals, the choreo looks a lot like Shanti Shanti Shanti too.🤘🦊🤘
Rob Halford of Judas Priest ones said: Babymetal is the future of metal. I think their is some truth to that, they are probably the most popular/well-known metal gateway band of their generation.
Looking around your studio background, it would appear we are neighbors. I'll just say Go Ducks! I prefer Babymetal with just the Kami band, but this Metalizm is kinda fun as giant productions go
Arabian psytrance metal! 🕺💃🤘 You hear "metarizumuzumuzumu" repeated a lot in two sections of the song where in the official lyrics the lines are represented each time by a single "METALIZM." The katakana pronunciation of METALIZM is メタリズム/Metarizumu. Metarizumuzumuzumu = メタリズム/Metarizumu (metal rhythm) + ズムズム/zumuzumu (thrumming (e.g., with excitement)). Here are an official blurb from Babymetal about the song, the songwriting credits, and an unofficial fan translatoin of the lyrics: METALIZM (SMOKE) An armored knight appears amid a smoky haze. The song features tribal rhythms interwoven with captivating melodies as if it narrates a fable-like story. Composer: RYU-METAL, MEGMETAL Lyricist: METALIAN, RYU-METAL Arranger: MEGMETAL [Lyrics: Unofficial English Translation] A knight from the Metal Kingdom comes over a thousand nights, magic wand in hand, accompanied by a cavalry. The King from the Metal Kingdom, wrapped in white clouds, fly high with wings spread. METALIZM A knight from the Metal Kingdom rides on a thousand winds, redrawing the map of the treasure hunt. The King from the Metal Kingdom escaped from the darkest dark to the new world lit up by the golden sunlight. METALIZM
The topline (the melody of the vocals) is actually on Byzantine scales which is all the more impressive since this kind of music has been forgotten in the middle ages and survives only through Orthodox church chants. It's super impressive to see that in modern music

I have strange dreams when I sleep while listening to this.

musicians.☝️💯🔥

That beat is insane!!
Metal Galaxy done, now Babymetal is exploring Metal Universe. Metalizm is quite similar to "Shanti Shanti Shanti" but with a Middle Eastern Arabic vibe.

One of a kind
hey Cheezyxyz-Metal, not your average band are they? zumu zumu zumu
I think the only thing they could do to make the visuals even better....would be to incorporate the Fox God(Egyptian style) into those graphics. Great one to react with...damn those drums kickass.
You have the most relaxing voice. Love
your BM reactions

To paraphrase Forrest Gump - Metal: "Babymetal are like a box of chocolates: you never know what you're gonna get!" What a band!!

Never thought I'd see the words "Forrest Gump-metal" in my lifetime but here we are.

BabyMetal being different, awesome and unpredictable as usual.
metalizm...yes, i immediately thought of the middle east. this may be a concession for "The One" from the middle east.🤘🦊🦊🦊🤘
Yeah there is an EDM feeling undergoing for most of their latest album! Love it :D
Great reaction. Love that Momoka is a part of BM ❤❤❤
Ready for "BMC" live.;-)
