Hey guys. Momo didn't replace Yui. Yui vacated the spot and Momo was promoted from being a backup dancer, to a full member. It was a promotion, not a replacement. I'm only saying this because it give a negative connotation of replacement versus the positive of a promotion. Momo has earned the spot. Show her some love.
I totally agree with this statement. In my mind after Yui left and they decided to continue on as a duo. Yui's spot was dropped. They went with several different backup dancer configurations. And finally, decided during their break at some point to go back to being a trio. Whose idea it was, or should I say how it all came about will be fun to learn from the interviews they will do while on tour. I think Momoko had a dream she followed. While in Sakura Gakuin she said someday she wanted to be a dance for a big named artist. Being one of the avenger dancers filled that dream and then while Babymetal was on break she tried to continue that dream by participating in the Korean group show. She didn't win. But that became our gain. Because also while in Sakura Gakuin Momoko also openly said she wanted to be a member of Babymetal. Which at the time everyone there thought was very funny as they all laughed. Especially since as far as I know Yui was still with Babymetal at the time. Maybe she saw the future. Momoko definitely had a vision. And put in the work to make it happen. A new member and new era for Babymetal. Su and her M&M's

For example One Ok Rock isn't an idol group, same goes for all the actors and actresses, etc. Amuse has under contract. Momoko was part of Sakura Gakuin not at the same time as Suzuka, Moa and Yui. So they didn't have a directly shared history. So they actually worked together the first time in Babymetal, when Momoko became an Avenger. I think you meant Riho not Ryu. She was one of the avenger dancers in rotation. But the young lady you see with Su and Moa is Momoko. She is the new full time member as others have mentioned. She has officially taken over Yui. And believe me, Momo has paid her dues and completely deserves the position. She is now officially Momo-Metal.
This song is battling for my favorite of the new album. Love Su's cadence and I love how the lighting turns their parts of their costumes golden. The beat is awesome and I love the Egyptian sound. As others have said, You have Su, Moa, and Momoko (Momometal) 🤘🦊🤘

Su smashed Bollywood metal with Shanti shanti shanti, had Sabaton dancing to her euro polka beat with Oh Majinai, and now she's got Arabian/Egyptian metal with Metalizm... this is my fave so far from the new album... This is like a darker sister of Shanti Shanti, love the way she does that yodeling thing with vocals, the choreo looks a lot like Shanti Shanti Shanti too.🤘🦊🤘
Nice reaction. It's been a while for a Babymetal Monday. Welcome to the new era of Babymetal. They went 5 years as a duo of SuMoa. Now they have added Momoko as a new Member. Former Avenger dancer. Promoted to full time member. Some hardcore fans have said this song isn't really metal. I say who cares this song is fantastic. Su showing, she learned some new scales to sing with. Moa and Momometal as she is now called. Are very in synch. They took that break, they called sealed. It went on longer because of covid. I gotta say the rest did them good. They've come back with a vengeance. Metals worst kept secret Babymetals legendary status grows every day. They are performing in Atlanta this fall. I think it's sold out already. Maybe you guys can get somebody to hook you up with tickets. They're also doing a couple of festival appearances as well. The lyrics to this song seem to be a throwback to metal songs about high adventure fantasy lyrics. About a metal king going out on a new adventure. Since the first song on the album is Metal Kingdom. Babymetal has a story going through this concept album. While on the surface this song is about a metal king. It could also be about Babymetal starting a new era the return of the trio. I learned this Japanese word, Kaizen. It means "For the Betterment of People". As Babymetal has matured it has become more and more evident that this is what Babymetal has become. Think about what you guys said. Because it makes me happy. Many others have left statements on how Babymetal got them through personal dark times. All their songs with strong positive up lifting messages. And now with their new album. Several of the songs also have that and ask you to go out on your own adventure. Hand in the air with hope and prayers. They've had their classic Kawaii Era with Su-metal, Yuimetal and Moametal. Then we had the duo Era with Su-metal, Moametal and various backup dancers. From the Dark Carnival five and the two Muscle Metal dancers and the avenger dancers. Riho, Kano, and Momoko. This new Kaizen Era is Su-metal and her M&Ms Moametal and Momometal. You guys made me happy by FINALLY starting up the Babymetal again. Also, I don't know if you guys are aware, but Babymetal is on tour and are going to both Canada and the US in September and October, so you might be able to see them live. I'm sure you can figure out that seeing them live will probably be a life-changing experience lol

Yui hasn’t been in the group since 2018. The new member is momoko okazaki she was one of the avengers and was the only avenger from after 2020. Momoko did the last like 30 shows as the only avenger. On April 1st she was officially announced as MOMOMETAL. She has the same title as Moa as scream and dance. She definitely deserves and earned that spot. She isn’t on any of the new songs they released for the other one. She is only on the first take version of the one. Honestly I don’t know why people thought Yui was coming back. In Japan once you leave an idol group you don’t go back it’s called a graduation. Once you graduate from an idol group you move forward to other things and babymetal is an idol group at its core. Also when Yui left she expressed her desire to find her own dream as Yui mizuno. People said that she was coming back because apparently she is tagged in the UA-cam videos on the file things but they did say the album was recorded years ago monochrome for instance was recorded 5 years before it’s release according to Moa so I wouldn’t be surprised if some of Yui’s original vocals are still in the layering somewhere. Also apparently amuse said in 2019 that yui had recovered from her health issues (I’ve seen a lot of people say this) and they have since changed her tagging on their website to an actor so I wouldn’t be surprised if she a comeback. Also Momo didn’t replace Yui a new member doesn’t mean she was replaced. She has her own unique hairstyle that is a hybrid of Moa and Yui’s pony tails and the avengers half down and two buns hair style. If she replaced Yui it would be more of pussycat dolls situation where they had Jessica dye her hair red and act like Carmit when she left the group to hide the fact she left

This new album is straight fire! This is a whole different Babymetal. That cutesy era is over. My favorite on this album is Time Wave, and it's a straight up club hit. There is nothing metal about it, yet it's one of their best songs ever. There's no video unfortunately... At least not yet. But since when have you needed a video? The audio is fire. You like From Dusk Till Dawn? Then you'll absolutely love this song. "Time Wave". Do it!!

i don't get this. sorry to say but this is manufactured rubbish...which is wat a lot of metal has come to! like Nightwish and all these other bands, taking away the escence of what metal was... too many variations now, my opinion🙂
And now for the bad news: in my opinion, that was the best song on their new album. "Divine Attack" and "Mirror Mirror" are worth looking into but, as for the rest of the album: meh. It's not a bad album, but BABYMETAL has done so much better. And, once again, in my opinion, BABYMETAL used to make listening to metal music fun; now, not so much. And it seems that when Yui left to group, she took most (if not all) of the kawaii with her. To me, BABYMETAL is just another J-pop band with some metal sprinkled in. So, if you plan to explore the other eight songs on BABYMETAL's new album "The Other One", travel at your own risk.
Its an opinion. I'm sure they can make their own minds up anyway. Personally I think its a great album (possibly even their best so far - but that is a very subjective thing, we all have our own faves for whatever reason) ... and no less fun than before, just a bit more grown up maybe. A couple of the songs had to grow on me, but that didn't take long and I was not sure I would like all the songs after hearing the short clips released in advance. I do like them all. I am yet to find out how Yui fans think her leaving made any difference whatsoever to the music they have been releasing in the last 5 years. That would have been exactly what it was. Would it have been any more or less kawaii with her now she is also in her 20s ... I very much doubt it and does that actually matter anyway unless their being kawaii was the only reason somebody was a fan, which would seem a bit weird.

Nice reaction. It's been a while for a Babymetal Monday. Welcome to the new era of Babymetal. They went 5 years as a duo of SuMoa. Now they have added Momoko as a new Member. Former Avenger dancer. Promoted to full time member. Some hardcore fans have said this song isn't really metal. I say who cares this song is fantastic. Su showing, she learned some new scales to sing with. Moa and Momometal as she is now called. Are very in synch. They took that break, they called sealed. It went on longer because of covid. I gotta say the rest did them good. They've come back with a vengeance. Metals worst kept secret Babymetals legendary status grows every day. They are performing in Atlanta this fall. I think it's sold out already. Maybe you guys can get somebody to hook you up with tickets. They're also doing a couple of festival appearances as well. The lyrics to this song seem to be a throwback to metal songs about high adventure fantasy lyrics. About a metal king going out on a new adventure. Since the first song on the album is Metal Kingdom. Babymetal has a story going through this concept album. While on the surface this song is about a metal king. It could also be about Babymetal starting a new era the return of the trio. I learned this Japanese word, Kaizen. It means "For the Betterment of People". As Babymetal has matured it has become more and more evident that this is what Babymetal has become. Think about what you guys said. Because it makes me happy. Many others have left statements on how Babymetal got them through personal dark times. All their songs with strong positive up lifting messages. And now with their new album. Several of the songs also have that and ask you to go out on your own adventure. Hand in the air with hope and prayers. They've had their classic Kawaii Era with Su-metal, Yuimetal and Moametal. Then we had the duo Era with Su-metal, Moametal and various backup dancers. From the Dark Carnival five and the two Muscle Metal dancers and the avenger dancers. Riho, Kano, and Momoko. This new Kaizen Era is Su-metal and her M&Ms Moametal and Momometal. You guys made me happy by FINALLY starting up the Babymetal again. Also, I don't know if you guys are aware, but Babymetal is on tour and are going to both Canada and the US in September and October, so you might be able to see them live. I'm sure you can figure out that seeing them live will probably be a life-changing experience lol

Yui hasn’t been in the group since 2018. The new member is momoko okazaki she was one of the avengers and was the only avenger from after 2020. Momoko did the last like 30 shows as the only avenger. On April 1st she was officially announced as MOMOMETAL. She has the same title as Moa as scream and dance. She definitely deserves and earned that spot. She isn’t on any of the new songs they released for the other one. She is only on the first take version of the one.
Honestly I don’t know why people thought Yui was coming back. In Japan once you leave an idol group you don’t go back it’s called a graduation. Once you graduate from an idol group you move forward to other things and babymetal is an idol group at its core. Also when Yui left she expressed her desire to find her own dream as Yui mizuno. People said that she was coming back because apparently she is tagged in the UA-cam videos on the file things but they did say the album was recorded years ago monochrome for instance was recorded 5 years before it’s release according to Moa so I wouldn’t be surprised if some of Yui’s original vocals are still in the layering somewhere. Also apparently amuse said in 2019 that yui had recovered from her health issues (I’ve seen a lot of people say this) and they have since changed her tagging on their website to an actor so I wouldn’t be surprised if she a comeback.
Also Momo didn’t replace Yui a new member doesn’t mean she was replaced. She has her own unique hairstyle that is a hybrid of Moa and Yui’s pony tails and the avengers half down and two buns hair style. If she replaced Yui it would be more of pussycat dolls situation where they had Jessica dye her hair red and act like Carmit when she left the group to hide the fact she left

Unfortunately thats not Yui, she left the group in 2018. This is the new member Momo-metal and she officially joined the group in April 2023!🔥🔥

I have seen this song performed LIVE at one of the recent concerts (fan cam) on the European leg of their current world tour and it was awesome.
At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member.

This new album is straight fire! This is a whole different Babymetal. That cutesy era is over. My favorite on this album is Time Wave, and it's a straight up club hit. There is nothing metal about it, yet it's one of their best songs ever. There's no video unfortunately... At least not yet. But since when have you needed a video? The audio is fire. You like From Dusk Till Dawn? Then you'll absolutely love this song. "Time Wave". Do it!!

Momo, who replaced Yui, was already a member of the idol agency that is in charge of and founded BABYMETAL. They’ve been friends since childhood and she’s done things with the band before. Su and Moa definitely had a say, but it was basically a no brainer decision to make her an official member. She was already set up to replace anyone that left.🤘🏼🦊

And now for the bad news: in my opinion, that was the best song on their new album. "Divine Attack" and "Mirror Mirror" are worth looking into but, as for the rest of the album: meh.
It's not a bad album, but BABYMETAL has done so much better. And, once again, in my opinion, BABYMETAL used to make listening to metal music fun; now, not so much. And it seems that when Yui left to group, she took most (if not all) of the kawaii with her. To me, BABYMETAL is just another J-pop band with some metal sprinkled in.
So, if you plan to explore the other eight songs on BABYMETAL's new album "The Other One", travel at your own risk.
Its an opinion. I'm sure they can make their own minds up anyway. Personally I think its a great album (possibly even their best so far - but that is a very subjective thing, we all have our own faves for whatever reason) ... and no less fun than before, just a bit more grown up maybe. A couple of the songs had to grow on me, but that didn't take long and I was not sure I would like all the songs after hearing the short clips released in advance. I do like them all.
I am yet to find out how Yui fans think her leaving made any difference whatsoever to the music they have been releasing in the last 5 years. That would have been exactly what it was. Would it have been any more or less kawaii with her now she is also in her 20s ... I very much doubt it and does that actually matter anyway unless their being kawaii was the only reason somebody was a fan, which would seem a bit weird.
