Now that you have found Nemophila you need to check out their new song "Ray of Light" just released yesterday. If you like metal, check out their covers, everything from Iron Maiden to X-Japan even Babymetal-"Megitsune". I don't think that Nemophila has ever toured outside Japan, but they will be at the Whiskey a Go Go on July 1st, for the first time in the US, then the Aftershock Festival in California in October. So glad that you have finally found Nemophila.
Nemophila are my favorite of the Japanese all female bands and it’s mainly because Mayu’s vocals really resonate with me, just wait till you hear her scream. They just released a brand new single yesterday and it’s def worth checking out along with Dissension and Revive. Thanks for a great reaction as I had the same feelings as you when I first discovered the land of J Metal not too long ago.
I agree. I caught Nemophila when they released Raitei. Mayu is a powerhouse and everyone is so talented. They're covers alone are done so well. While you're searching for tunes Check out "Raise A Sulien" and "Roselia". 🤘🎧
Absolutely Loveeeeee these ladies...''Dissension'' your next stop on this amazing music journey you're on. Also you need watch Hanabie ''We Love Sweets''
Ne-Mo-Fil-Ah, This is my favorite song by them, You will need to watch this several more time to get everything. Mayu is an extraordinary singer, you never know which voice she will be using with a new song. They just released "A Ray of Hope" and Mayu is using a different voice. They are coming to the US to perform at Aftershock festival in California and someone just informed me they will be performing at the Whiskey a Go Go on Sunset Strip, Los Angeles on 1 July. You still have Mary's Blood, Unlucky Morpheus, Bridear, Aldious and Gacharic Spin to go. A Bonus Rolling Quartz from Korea!
Neh - moh - fee - lah The band pronounces it like it is written in romaji. Syllables end on the vowel. No accent difference between syllables. Same vowels as in Spanish.
Welcome to the world of Nemophila (there's no "i" after the "L" in the pronounciation). Great reaction and Monster is one of their most "pop" like songs and an interesting place to start actually. They get soooo much heavier and metal. Yes, Mayu's vocals are amazing and you've only heard the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her versatility and abilities. One of my favorite bands of all time, they haven't put out a song that I don't like. I listen to their album Revive from start to finish on loop. They were just formed in 2019 as a super group, coming together from other bands, so I don't think they have toured the UK. I know their first visit to the US is this summer. Can you believe you can see them at the Whiskey a Go Go in L.A. for $15 a ticket.
Second that but I are more schizofrenic with bands from Japan.... Most of them is top notch. I love them all.... Even hardrock and punk bands are amazing!
I wish I lived in the US that must just be awesome!! I can't wait to explore more from this group, based off this impression and the comments from all of you, this is going to be a wild ride!
Now it is time to check the OGs of Japanese metal scene - Maximum the Hormone. They are very good, been around for quite some time and are the role model for a lot of bands and musicians. In order not to shock you too much Yoshu Fukushu would be a nice song to start.
Your probably one of the best vocalist, Mayu, as you watch here is only using half of her full ability. She got insane range from high pitch whistle tone fry screaming to low humming vocals and anything in between, switching mid song (sometimes phrase - ref. DISSENSION chorus #1 closing) and doing them all effortlessly. NEMOPHILA did a cover song of MAXIMUM THE HORMONE which one of the song originally consists of 3 different vocalist and Mayu covered of all 3 by herself just like a walk in the park.
What I Know about Nemophila One of the guitarist is in the Lisa X Band The drummer held her own in a drum battle versus the great Yoyoka Soma and Nemophila got noticed from doing BabyMetal covers Three of the best rabbit holes from Japan Lisa X, Yoyoka, and BabyMetal
Hold on to your socks, Nemophila is going to blow them off.....quite often 😳 They just dropped a new song yesterday, " A Ray of Light, " it is Awesome !! ❤🎙🎸🥁😎👌
Yes, Nemophila is another excellent heavy metal band from Japan. These girls are outstanding musicians. Some people say that rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan.
Congratulations to Nemophila Reaction! Nemophila is a new Japanese band formed in 2019, but each member is one of the best in Japan. Especially the two guitarists and the drummer are famous musicians. Nemophila is a band that is scheduled to participate in AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL 2022. Great react 😂 Welcome to a new land. My favorite band all around since I discovered them a year ago. All their original tracks are mind blowing: Dissension, Raitei, Revive, Hypnosis, Demon Light, The Ray of Light, ...), and their covers of 80/90 classic hard-rock titles are awesome too (Iron Maiden, Kiss, Motley Crue, ...). To widen your horizon of metal female Japanese bands, you can also check out: Bridear (Brave New World Revisited, Ghoul, Light In The Dark), Gacharic Spin (Mindset, I wish I, Lost Angel), Doll$boxx (Take My Chance, Shout Down, Loud Twin Stars, Merrily High Go Round, ...). EDIT: about Nemophila, Monsters is one of the most soft track from these amazing young ladies (with Life which have an emotional story behind). And to be honest, you are far from having discovered what Mayu is capable of as a vocalist. And Tamu is by far my favorite drummer all around. So putting a foot into the J-Metal territory, well... it is quite hard to return to western music or bands. Personally I did not succeed.
nemophila is the most exciting new band, they are all professional musicians from different bands, and they play a variety of genres. Check out their new song《a ray of light》next time!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
Vocals are amazing 😂😂. I thought this was a strange choice for a first time listen but to be honest, after listening to it and you talking about the vocals it’s going to make dissension so much better 🤘
Most don’t start with Monsters and pick one of the big four songs but to be honest it’s a great introduction to the band and Monsters is a top 5 song for me.
Seeing them in less than two weeks at Whiskey a Go Go in LA. A long-ass drive (I live in Portland), but SO fucking worth it. My favorite band in the world right now...and poised to absolutley blow up globally. They have everything it takes: massive musical chops at every position,* phenomenal versatility, and that superstar sort of charisma that comes from having incredible chemistry between them and that rare ability to _project_ that chemistry to the audience. * As just one example, drummer Tamu Murata also plays fusion, and has made a couple videos with Senri Kawaguchi (who has to be in the conversation for best drummer on the planet) and absolutely held her own.
As far as I know, Nemophila has yet to perform outside of Japan. They're going to be playing at the Whiskey in Los Angeles on July 1, 2022, and then they'll be at the Aftershock festival in California in October. The guitarist in the Arch Enemy shirt, Hazuki, also plays in the LI-SA-X Band with young guitar prodigy, LI-SA-X. One thing about the Wagakki Band - stay away from official music videos. While their videos are good, their former record company, Avex, is pretty harsh about blocking reactions. Fortunately, there's a wealth of live footage out there from them, most notably from the channels Crystal Clouds, Frank Garcia, and my favorite, CC W.
Japanese Metal / Rock is growing and getting better and better especially the All-Female Bands are great. You mentioned short Wagakki Band this was my first Band from Japan and i was hooked, you will love this Band take the song Homura or Senbonzakura .
You made it to Nemophila... they are relatively new, but great band. I wasnt really into the screaming/growling type of singing... until she does it. It because her normal singing voice is very clear and free, the energy comes through after the rage. 'Hozuki', 'Revive', 'Dissension'.
Love your first reaction to them! And I agree... EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW! I grew up on Alice Cooper Group, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin (and all the usual suspects...), but NEMOPHILA blow them all away (in my opinion)! Cannot get enough of them! I have the CDs, but still love watching their videos more!
One band leads to another. That's sum up what the Japanese rock/metal scene has brought to this world. Impressive reaction. Another japanese bands that i would recommend to you is Unlucky Morpheus, Hanabie, TRiDENT, BRATS, Sokoninaru, etc
Monsters is a great song. It is a little more poppy than some of their other stuff but still hard rock and amazing. They are usually way more heavier than this too. This is a great band with fabulous musicians. The lead singer Mayu has a great voice but also has a great scream. You have not even scratch the service with her on this song. You will enjoy them. Try Revive, Dissension, Ratei, Hypnosis and many more. They also do great covers too on their you tube channel. They just released their first album back in December. Not been out of Japan touring yet that I know of. They do have a couple dates in US this year. Another song is OIRAN Live (NAONのYAON2021)). Good one to see a live performance.
NEMOPHILA, such a great band, plenty of great original songs, and also lots of fantastic covers. GOT, you asked are they still touring? Well from what I’ve seen their entire 2 year (or so) career has been studio based except for 1 amazing live sellout concert a few months ago. So their career is just starting, let’s push for a word tour
BabyMetal, Band-Maid, Lovebites and now Nemophila - April into May must have been an exciting month for you! But we've enjoyed your reactions immensely too! But there's more to come from Japan! For example, the mix of Metal and traditional instruments that are the Wagakki Band 'Homura/Akatsuki No Ito' live ( ua-cam.com/video/ponTbDDMYjw/v-deo.html ) and the Prog Metal/ Metal/ Rock of the male (for once!) trio that have made up Ningen Isu for the past 30 years and their epic 'Heartless Scat' ( ua-cam.com/video/CbI79e5iZKs/v-deo.html ). Brace yourself for lots of WTF?!'s and "I fukking love it!" 's.
Welcome to Nemophila. Try Dissension by them next. A lot more heavy! Also if we can drag you away from Japan have a look at these: Jinjer from Ukraine Spiritbox from Canada Nova Twins from the UK
Superb! Love your enthusiasm! Now you're through with Babymetal, Band Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila. Nemophila just fired out a brand new MV: Ray of Light - even harder than this one, you won't be disappointed!
i discovered nemophila i think last year, maybe 2022 and such a unique voice, its the thing that gets me the most, also in general the great mix of intruments, and those catchy but sick af melodies
the instrumental is really heavy, and the voice makes a great contrast and the screams and... i could keep going on, just an awesome JP metal band, probably my favorite JP heavy metal band, honestly babymetal is too "happy" for my taste of metal, i like their energy and seing their lifes, but unlike nemophila, babymetal is not something i would add to my daily basis playlist
and the fact that the melody despite being absolutely catchy, it has their character impregnated and they make it in a non repetitive way so, its strange because usually with catchy melodies comes boring songs because the melody is on loop during all the song not the case, here, they manage to make it catchy but keep adding things or modifying it to not make it repetitive
"Might be one of the best vocalist I've heard so far" you bet! Mayu has a naturally raspy, slightly metallic timbre, gritty lows and mids with sharp strong highs. Not to mention, she can fry for heavier tracks and go airy and delicate for softer sections. All of that with that everpresent husky and mature feminine tone to her voice, and that candidly playful, punikish attitude and stage presence. Add to that, she has better english fluency than most of her Japanese peers. Honestly, Mayu imo has got everything that a vocalist in the Rock/Metal genre would love to have. She is my fav female vocalist in this genre, bar none. What makes this an even better deal is the band behind her. Top notch and well established veteran musicians esp, the lead guitarist and drummer. And it's not just the musicianship, it's their willingness to work on all sorts of projects from classic RnR tracks to currently trending pop hits, all the way to the goofy minions banana song. A cover every week! A band of the finest musicians the country has to offer with the attitude and energy of the most daring and ambitious newcomer. Having explored the Japanese music scene for almost 2 decades now and experiencing the frustration of these amazing artists being so ill equiped for the global market, you can't begin to fathom how happy I am to finally see someone so armed to the teeth, and actually doing everything they can to make themselves as accessible as they possibly can. They say fortune favors the prepared, here though I daresay they are more than prepared to snatch that favor whenever they want. Just really hyped for how far they will go.
Your description was so spot on especially the voice! Very impressed with her unique and deeper style! I can already tell this is going to be one awesome band to explore! 🤘
@@DragonPhlyy It's a great feeling all right. Like you yourself have experienced a part of that journey. You grow up watching them grow and over the years you build quite the strange yet fascinating personal connection to them even when you actually don't know them. Intriguingly enough, it's one of those really pure feelings where you just hope for the best for the other party without expecting anything in return. And you end up putting all these time, effort and money hoping to get them just a bit nearer to their dreams. I guess it might be cos you end up resonating with them, somehow through their music. And you instinctually feel that if someone that speaks a slightly similar language of expression as you can succeed, you probably can too. Atleast it inspires you to? . . . just maybe. lol Among Japanese artists, I had the previlege to do that with One Ok Rock in my teens, Band Maid as a young adult and now Nemophila as I'm nearing my 30s. OOR is now already selling out stadiums and among the most successful Japanese artists globally. I really hope to see BandMaid and Nemophila at that same level of success and maybe in my lifetime see them all inducted into the RnR hall of fame ;)
First heard Nemophila a few weeks ago and was immediately hooked. Monsters was the song. Harmonized guitar solo is insane. The entire band is outstanding. Haven't found a skip song yet.
Some other international metal bands to check out: The Hu - Wolf totem metal band out of Mongolia. Bloodywood - Machi Bhasad (expect a riot) new metal band out of India. They mix metal with traditional Indian folk instuments and melodies.
Welcome to their world. This band is simply currently my preferate metal band in Japan. Those 5 ladies are top notch. And if this song made you feel that way, then you should go for their song Dissention. That will make your jaw simply drop. We want to witness that in your video, first time. And then you go to their very last song, ray of light. And you will not really be able to speak anymore. EDIT : oh and by the way, if you want talent... You should go check Unlucky Morpheous, and their last song, "anthem". You will have a crazy drummer, great musicians, great singer, and an amazing violonist.
Welcome to the Nemophila revolution breathing life back into Metal New band made up of serious heavy hitters from Japan OvD will have filled you in on the history. Fellow Brit here i have been in from the start with this band and believe me they are frikin fantastic all A stars lovely people funny happy answer you back on Twitter .Where do you start with there tracks from kick ass covers of classic metal to the debut album Revive (available from JPU records in the UK there uk /eu distributer along with lots of other far east bands) They are one of the hardest working bands out there .Dig deep man they are seriously good Mayu (singer can do it all from wiled death metal screams to even pop sounding parts ) and in Guitarist Saki right as you look and Drummer Tamu you have the cream of the crop not to put down Hazuki and Hara who are both world class .It doesn't realy matter what you do from them LOL but its good to start at the beginning with Oiran recorded in the practise room .Live there mental ,not played in the uk yet but its on the list to do Covid hampered them as they started just as it hit the world .Happy to welcome a new fan get stuck in .
Nemophila's drummer, Murata Tamu aka "the smiling thunder", is one of the best female drummers on the planet. Her double-pedal work is other-worldly. Her stamina and speed is on a par with any really, really good male speed-metal drummer.
Well they have alot of covers they have done as well there are fairly new they come out just before covid hit towards the end of 2019 check out skid row cover ,motley crue ,iron maiden and other dissension is one of there own and Orion is another so is revive
Nemophila is one of the best female metal band in Japan! Next please react to their song RAITEI, or their very new song “A Ray Of Light” just released last week!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Should we start Nemophila with an original very heavy but wth an unusual solo song?? *Hypnosis:* ua-cam.com/video/k7iF1BZ36cU/v-deo.html . Then shall we see something original and live. *Dissension:* ua-cam.com/video/6zH045LdjBo/v-deo.html . Something new & original with a little shredding. *A Ray of Light:* ua-cam.com/video/KvP7qKf48Wc/v-deo.html . *BUT WHERE SHOULD WE START OUR LITTLE JOURNEY??* *GOT IT!!* A short cover that *BLOWS PEOPLES MIND AWAY.* *Banana Song:* ua-cam.com/video/8mkiCb28NYA/v-deo.html . Nemophila started as a one off session for singer Mayu in 2019. Somehow they gelled as band and liked each other. When they were just getting started. The pandemic hit. So they concentrated on doing covers & a few originals when they can play together or Zoom. This past January (2022), the band played their first show as a complete unit in front of an audience in a one man show (no opening acts). They call that their starting point. The Whiskey show in LA, CA will be their first away from Japan.
Nice. I'll just say that if you continue looking at Nemophila, you've got some more surprises coming. Wonderful, wonderful surprises. Also check out the Maiden covers. Or anything, really
ANOTHER K-POP GROUP SUGGESTION: SHINEE debuted in 2008. Shinee is considered "The Princes of K-pop" for their perfect harmonies, classy dance moves, and trend-setting fashion. (Bigbang are the Kings.) The group is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-piece group, main vocalist Jonghyun passed away suddenly in December 2017. Some songs/MV's to listen to -- older list: 1 - Ring Ding Dong 2 - Lucifer 3 - Shinee Girl 4 - Sherlock NEWER: 5 - Don't Call Me 6 - Atlantis 7 - C.O.D.E. 8 - Heart Attack 9 - Marry Me They each have solo releases to, of which Taemin is the most prolific and is considered the "MJ" of K-pop. Just watching him perform is proof. He also did a mesmerizing dance collaboration with Jimin of BTS at an awards show; you can see it on UA-cam. Songs/MV's: 1 - Advice (1of the best song/MV's of his 2 - Criminal 3 - Idea Min-ho: 1 - HeartBreak 2 - I'm Home Onew: 1 - Blue 2 - Dice 3 - Nessun Dorma (opera shows how powerful his voice is) Key: 1- Bad Love 2 - Hate That.... 3 - Forever Yours
Again, enjoyed the reaction! I'm a huge fan of this band as well. If you're a fan of both British and US classic metal, you should check out their covers....incredibly well done! Also, I'm sure you have a long list suggestions, but don't forget about Rolling Quartz from Korea. I recommend their song, "Azalea".
Love that you love Japanese music and you've fallen in the giant rabit hole like the rest of us , Nemophila are amazing musicians and still a fairly new band and they just dont make bad music If you want to add to your list have a look at Ladybaby and Hanabie from Japan Three Mexican sisters called " The Warning " and Indian folkmetal band called " Bloodywood " you wont be disappointed
Oh dear. This is a really fun track to start with...but it's one of the few songs they have that doesn't really feature Mayu's signature scream. When she realy unleashes, she roars like a jungle cat. I'm not a fan of metal screams in general, but she's a huge exception. Go for Dissension next.
Some Japanese bands. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Break the Wall, Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], DEXCORE [Red Eye], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Unending Sorceress], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance], SOKONINARU [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], BROKEN BY THE SCREAM [Emotion Cross-Counter], LYNCH [Devil], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], JUPITER [My Enemy], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], NEMOPHILA [Hypnosis], DADAROMA [Lucid Dream], JILUKA [Lluvia], HANABIE [We Love Sweets], A CROWD OF REBELLION [Re:Create of the Re:d], POLKADOT STINGRAY [any song], MUTANT MONSTERS [Abnormal], ASTERISM [Church], NOISEMAKER [Hunter or Prey], BiSH [The Night When Stars Twinkle], SCANDAL [A.M.D.K.J.], DEEP GIRL [I kill], Mrs. GREEN APPLE [Inferno], BRATS [I'm Glad You Didn't Care], THE ORAL CIGARETTES [Frenzy Hey Kids!!], GIRUGAMESH [Drain], LiLiHoLi [From Darkness to Light], and many many more...
to throw more bands at him, I suggest Bridear, my favorite of all these bands. And does anybody know where he's from? He said they get most of their musical inspirations from the UK and here in the USA, so I was wondering where he was
Now you are react to Nemophila, for next bands, Asterism (trio instrumental with female guitarist) and Ningen Isu (older but heavy music and heavy riff).
@g.o.t games you like her vocals then you need to see her growl. Try dissension or revive. You may also want to check out some of their covers from the likes of maiden, kiss, motley crue. As someone has suggested you should listen to rolling quartz from Korea
I'm also waiting for Nemophila to tour UK, seen both Babymetal and Band Maid so Nemophila are next on my wish list.... I suggest listening to Dissension next!
I thought you would like them 👍😎🤣 For me, the musicianship and variety of the playing elevates them above bands like Lovebites, but that's largely down to differing musical tastes which are more rock/hard rock than speed/thrash. I'll remind you of a previous suggestion, too, for "The Hu", I think "Wolf Totem" would be an excellent introduction to them 👍😎😀 Yes, "the Waggaki Band" - the vocals aren't like anything you'll find in the west, but the band (two drummers) and the vocals are really good.
Great reaction to this amazing band. If you want a suggestion go back to the start and do their first MV called RAITEI. Then DISSENSION. They don’t have a bad song to be honest but RAITEI was my first taste of this great group of ladies and it’s ending is a killer.
You have asked the question, now I'll give you the answer, a lot! I'm in my sixties and discovered this band in dec 2019, so yeah why are so many much younger people just now finding out how awesome this and other band's mentioned here are? You will loose your $hit if and when you get a broader spectrum of Mayu's vocals, along with the unreasonable talent of the rest of this group.
Fun fact, Finland has more metal bands per capita than any other country.. Sweden, Norway, Italy and Germany are also loaded.. The largest metal festival in the world is in Germany, it is called Wacken and bands from all over the world play there.. I dont know what the radio is like in the U.K. but on the radio in the U.S. radio stations all have radio formats and certain stations only play certain genres and most active rock stations and they you hear only alternative metal/nu-metal mostly or something more mainstream and older from the 90s and 80s.. Sabaton is currently one of the biggest Power Metal bands from Sweden and has almost taken the sub genre into mainstream yet here in the U.S. they still dont get air play on the radio yet they are doing their biggest tour soon in the largest venues they will have played in when it comes to the U.S.
You always have such cool reaction! Very impressive! I am waiting for a new reaction to Lovebites and BAND-MAID. And of course you need to check out Wagakki Band! Thank you for your reaction!
Yep that's our Banshee Queen Mayuphila🤘 Now there's one more group/song you really need check out: Hanabie - 'We love sweets' or the Hanabie - 'Ghost Mania' (Livestream)🌸🎌
My opinion about japan band Galneryus(best neo classical power metal) Dir en grey(best death/scream metal band) BAND MAID(Best hard rock girl band ) Nemophila (best metal/scream girl band) Lovebites(best power metal girl band) So...for next reaction try galneryus or dir en grey...😁
LOL to myself as I listen to you...I had the same experiences as I found Yoyoka, BabyMetal, BandMaid and found so many Japanese bands after that. It all started for me in Feb 2020. I grew up with 60s rock and was never into the Metal or Glamor genres until I found the groups I mentioned above. It is so fantastic to expand my music interests at such a late time in my life. Also, Haraguchi. the bass player (25 years old!!) and Tamu the drummer actually thanked me in a twitter post last year and I am like a little kid meeting a celebrity. Also, Yoyoka answered me a couple of times lol. OK, I rambled enough and bored everyone to death lol. Enjoy!! It has only just begun.
You'll be astonished to know Mayu also screams. She doesn't just scream either, she is a banshee, she sounds like torment directly from the bowels of hell, and then she immediately sings like an angel. Try Dissension for a primer. They haven't been to the UK but they will be playing LA in about six weeks, and I shall be there. :) Also, Hanabie. Hanabie = Harajukucore = FIRE = You need them in your life.
While Monsters may not be the most representative song with which to begin your Nemophila journey given how different it is from most of their music, its also one of my favorite songs of theirs, along with Life and Revive.
You should also check out some other Japanese bands like 'Mary's Blood;', 'Aldious', 'Doll$Boxx', 'Hanabie', 'Asterism', 'D_Drive'. 'Serenity in Murder', 'Maximum the Hormone', 'Ark Royal' , 'Trident', 'Unlucky Morpheus' etc, for starters. The list goes on and on..
Nemophila will explode in the next year or so. They are that good. Oiran live at Naon Yaon is a must. Just released Ray of Light. Another banger!! Do yourself a favour and throw yourself down the Japanese Rabbit hole. As well as the ones you have already checked out, seek out Hanabie, Unlucky Morpheus, Trident, Gacharic Spin, Mary's Blood, Lisa X band and tons more. Enjoy your journey.
Dgg'n on your channel 🤘 Lov'n your energy. You and Hafsa Sharaha from Morocco.(YOU GOTTA CHECK HER OUT) are by far my favorite favorite reactors! I know I will be JAK'T ! Satisfaction guaranteed. BTW this is my first time hearing them so THANK YOU 🤘 I don't know what they put in these Japanese girls water because as you know UK and USA metal well has been dry for years. You're just getting started on all female Japanese band journey. There's three more gears and don't forget the nitrous. GOT TO PUT 🔱TRIDENT 🔱 ON YOUR LIST. Three female Japanese independent label band from underground Jpunk, Jrock scene. Legit vocals and plays rhythm guitar. Lead guitar is their BASSIST. Their MV "VOLTAGE" where's the last time they had one of thee sickest drummer on the planet. Her name is JUNNA I'll put her up against anybody and lay 8-5 all day long. She does a flawless drum cover of Through the Fire and Flames. Their drummer Geez Anzalone reacted to her and was as giddy as a prom queen. Indonesia is putting out heat. MUCH ✌️❤️🙏 FROM 🇵🇱🇵🇱 POLAND 🇵🇱🇵🇱
You should have started with their more popular tracks like Oiran, Dissension, or Revive to get a real sense of Mayu's voice. Also, their new track Ray of Light is a real banger! You have been missing out, but you are here now. Enjoy the rabbit hole!
Reaccióna a Show-ya, 1 banda femenina de heavy metal japonés y madrinas entre otras de Nemophila, Mary's Blood, Gacharic Spin, Scandal, etc, etc( Fairy, Look at Me, Kurenai, One Way Heart, Gambling, Genkai Lovers, etc)
What in the world have you been listening to this is all I've listened to for the last 5 years it's hard to believe that so many people they don't get out of their comfort zone
Right, I can't wait until he hears Mayu scream.
@@OlettaLiano She can do it all that's for sure.
Also throw my hat in the Dissension ring. I'm kind of glad that song was not the first reaction.
@@theeternalsw0rd I agree, the look on peoples faces when that song kicks in is priceless. After that then Revive !
Ah can't wait 🤘
Yes Dissention is a MUST for Nemophila.. And in that vein I second Hanabie "We Love Sweets."
Both will absolutely melt your face..

The band pronounces it like it is written in romaji.
Coming mistaken jajaja...phiLLLLa...not philiiiiiia 😆
I wish I lived in the US that must just be awesome!!
I can't wait to explore more from this group, based off this impression and the comments from all of you, this is going to be a wild ride!
The japanese rock/metal scene is something else :)
Now it is time to check the OGs of Japanese metal scene - Maximum the Hormone. They are very good, been around for quite some time and are the role model for a lot of bands and musicians.
In order not to shock you too much Yoshu Fukushu would be a nice song to start.
😮🤘🤘🤘🤘
Your probably one of the best vocalist, Mayu, as you watch here is only using half of her full ability. She got insane range from high pitch whistle tone fry screaming to low humming vocals and anything in between, switching mid song (sometimes phrase - ref. DISSENSION chorus #1 closing) and doing them all effortlessly. NEMOPHILA did a cover song of MAXIMUM THE HORMONE which one of the song originally consists of 3 different vocalist and Mayu covered of all 3 by herself just like a walk in the park.
Oh I can't wait to hear more from her and them
What I Know about Nemophila One of the guitarist is in the Lisa X Band The drummer held her own in a drum battle versus the great Yoyoka Soma and Nemophila got noticed from doing BabyMetal covers Three of the best rabbit holes from Japan Lisa X, Yoyoka, and BabyMetal
Hazuki is the one in Li-sa X Band, wearing glasses and a pony tail here. Great suggestions!
Finally… lol
Mayu’s vocals are next level! The band are all top notch. They do LOTS of amazing covers as well. Don’t ignore those - trust me…
Hold on to your socks, Nemophila is going to blow them off.....quite often 😳 They just dropped a new song yesterday, " A Ray of Light, " it is Awesome !! ❤🎙🎸🥁😎👌
Yes it is.
This is going to be a fun ride!
Yes, Nemophila is another excellent heavy metal band from Japan. These girls are outstanding musicians. Some people say that rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan.
She's got an incredible vocals. Killer
She really does 🤘
Congratulations to Nemophila Reaction!

Check out their new song《a ray of light》next time!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
They're so awesome! More to come 🤘
Vocals are amazing 😂😂.
Ah so excited!!!
Lol. I thought the same thing. Dissension and Hypnosis are my favorite songs by them.
I heard they are gonna make an appearance at Anime Expo
Japanese Metal / Rock is growing and getting better and better especially the All-Female Bands are great. You mentioned short Wagakki Band this was my first Band from Japan and i was hooked, you will love this Band take the song Homura or Senbonzakura .
As you will discover Mayu is an incredibly gifted vocalist.
She sounded awesome in this! Can't wait to hear more
You made it to Nemophila... they are relatively new, but great band. I wasnt really into the screaming/growling type of singing... until she does it. It because her normal singing voice is very clear and free, the energy comes through after the rage. 'Hozuki', 'Revive', 'Dissension'.
❤️❤️🤘
Oh that would be amazing! Hopefully!
This was awesome!
I hadn’t bought an actual CD for years until I heard Nemophila. Dissension and check out their covers.
Actually go for Revive
Yes yes it is, try to find a Nemophila song you don’t like, it won’t happen.
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥💯
Hanabie is another, right? Also, not being impatient about it, but if you want bass solo goodness, bandmaid - no god
Soooo...what did I say when he first watched Band-Maid? "Did he come to Nemophila yet?"
Where is my Popcorn. And: Play!
Same
Welcome to Nemophila. Try Dissension by them next. A lot more heavy! Also if we can drag you away from Japan have a look at these:
Jinjer from Ukraine
Spiritbox from Canada
Nova Twins from the UK
Jinjer will literally blow his mind.
Start with the Spiritbox one -take Circle With Me and the Jinjer one -take Pisces.
Superb! Love your enthusiasm! Now you're through with Babymetal, Band Maid, Lovebites and Nemophila. Nemophila just fired out a brand new MV: Ray of Light - even harder than this one, you won't be disappointed!
Can't wait for your next reaction videos🔥
Raitei, Revive & Ray of Light are their top 3 songs from NEMOPHILLA🎵🎵🎵
i discovered nemophila i think last year, maybe 2022
and such a unique voice, its the thing that gets me the most, also in general the great mix of intruments, and those catchy but sick af melodies
the instrumental is really heavy, and the voice makes a great contrast
and the screams
and... i could keep going on, just an awesome JP metal band, probably my favorite JP heavy metal band, honestly babymetal is too "happy" for my taste of metal, i like their energy and seing their lifes, but unlike nemophila, babymetal is not something i would add to my daily basis playlist
also, the way they played with the question-answer on the dual guitar solo was really on point
and the fact that the melody despite being absolutely catchy, it has their character impregnated and they make it in a non repetitive way so, its strange because usually with catchy melodies comes boring songs because the melody is on loop during all the song
not the case, here, they manage to make it catchy but keep adding things or modifying it to not make it repetitive
Recommend, hypnosis (my personal fav), life(bring tissues), dissension(buckle up this on is hard).
Enjoy the ride these ladies rock
Okay 🤘🤘
The next Nemophila song you listen to should be "Dissension"
Okay 🤘🤘
@@GOTGames Nemophila to the moon! Also how cool is it to get in on the ground floor with a new band and watch them grow!
Atleast it inspires you to? . . . just maybe. lol
Among Japanese artists, I had the previlege to do that with One Ok Rock in my teens, Band Maid as a young adult and now Nemophila as I'm nearing my 30s.
OOR is now already selling out stadiums and among the most successful Japanese artists globally.
I really hope to see BandMaid and Nemophila at that same level of success and maybe in my lifetime see them all inducted into the RnR hall of fame ;)
@@Dtagcity totally agree
First heard Nemophila a few weeks ago and was immediately hooked. Monsters was the song. Harmonized guitar solo is insane. The entire band is outstanding. Haven't found a skip song yet.
Some other international metal bands to check out:
The Hu - Wolf totem metal band out of Mongolia.
Bloodywood - Machi Bhasad (expect a riot) new metal band out of India. They mix metal with traditional Indian folk instuments and melodies.
Definitely will be checking those out 🤘🤘
This young lady can really sing. Her ballads are to die for. e.g. Odyssey
Try doing a Megitsune double header sometime. Start with Nemophila’s cover video and end with original Babymetal MV or Budokan ‘21 live performance.
Might want to check out Nemophila "Minion banana song" "Kiss Detroit city" (in full facial make-up) "Revive" "Life" to name a few.
Been waiting for you to walk into this musical buzzsaw. Highly recommended "Dissension" or "Revive" to get the full Mayu experience.
Nemophila is one of the best female metal band in Japan! Next please react to their song RAITEI, or their very new song “A Ray Of Light” just released last week!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The kid has no idea...about the rabbit hole.
Welcome to the world of NEMOPHILA!..my man!
Should we start Nemophila with an original very heavy but wth an unusual solo song??

ANOTHER K-POP GROUP SUGGESTION:
SHINEE debuted in 2008. Shinee is considered "The Princes of K-pop" for their perfect harmonies, classy dance moves, and trend-setting fashion. (Bigbang are the Kings.)
The group is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-piece group, main vocalist Jonghyun passed away suddenly in December 2017.
Some songs/MV's to listen to -- older list:
1 - Ring Ding Dong
2 - Lucifer
3 - Shinee Girl
4 - Sherlock
NEWER:
5 - Don't Call Me
6 - Atlantis
7 - C.O.D.E.
8 - Heart Attack
9 - Marry Me
They each have solo releases to, of which Taemin is the most prolific and is considered the "MJ" of K-pop. Just watching him perform is proof. He also did a mesmerizing dance collaboration with Jimin of BTS at an awards show; you can see it on UA-cam.
Songs/MV's:
1 - Advice (1of the best song/MV's of his
2 - Criminal
3 - Idea
Min-ho:
1 - HeartBreak
2 - I'm Home
Onew:
1 - Blue
2 - Dice
3 - Nessun Dorma (opera shows how powerful his voice is)
Key:
1- Bad Love
2 - Hate That....
3 - Forever Yours
I've checked them out 😉 more to come
The hole band is amazing. Mayu’s voice though. I can't get over how insane her live vocal is.
🤘🤘
@@GOTGames 🤜🤛
Cutest drummer around.
Nemophila "Dissension" next?
TRIDENT and Bridear should be next bands you have to watch and then you have to explore the punk bands, The Peggies and Hump Back
💯🤘
Again, enjoyed the reaction! I'm a huge fan of this band as well. If you're a fan of both British and US classic metal, you should check out their covers....incredibly well done! Also, I'm sure you have a long list suggestions, but don't forget about Rolling Quartz from Korea. I recommend their song, "Azalea".
I second this and Rolling Quartz.
Can't wait to check out more my friend 🤘
Love that you love Japanese music and you've fallen in the giant rabit hole like the rest of us , Nemophila are amazing musicians and still a fairly new band and they just dont make bad music
If you want to add to your list have a look at Ladybaby and Hanabie from Japan
Three Mexican sisters called " The Warning " and Indian folkmetal band called " Bloodywood " you wont be disappointed
Nemophila is one of the best band's in the world 🤘🔥🔥❤️❤️
Oh dear. This is a really fun track to start with...but it's one of the few songs they have that doesn't really feature Mayu's signature scream. When she realy unleashes, she roars like a jungle cat. I'm not a fan of metal screams in general, but she's a huge exception. Go for Dissension next.
🤘🤘🤘
Some Japanese bands. Take your pick: BAND-MAID [All their songs... really!], LOVEBITES [Break the Wall, Raise some Hell, and all the other songs], MAXIMUM THE HORMONE [Yoshu Fukushu], DEXCORE [Red Eye], CROSSFAITH [Catastrophe], SiM [Killing Me], NINGEN ISU [Heartless Scat], UNLUCKY MORPHEUS [Unending Sorceress], YOUSEI TEIKOKU [Astral Dogma], COLDRAIN [Die Tomorrow], CRYSTAL LAKE [The Circle], GIVEN BY THE FLAMES [Ronove], ANGRY FROG REBIRTH [2Step Syndrome], SILENTLY SHOOTING TRAITORS [Manipulate], ALDIOUS [Dominator], BRIDEAR [Light in the Dark], CINQ ELEMENT [Destiny], MARY'S BLOOD [Marionette], GRAUPEL [Bereavement], DOLL$BOXX [Take my Chance], SOKONINARU [Tenohira De Odoru], HELLO SLEEPWALKERS [Flying Saucer], TELECiDE [Tied up Memories], NEKO [Ghost on a Record], ROTTENGRAFFTY [Hallelujah], BROKEN BY THE SCREAM [Emotion Cross-Counter], LYNCH [Devil], DIR EN GREY [Ningen wo Kaburu], X JAPAN [Kurenai], DAZZLE VISION [Second], JUPITER [My Enemy], GALNERYUS [Angel of Salvation], BLOOD STAIN CHILD [Del-Sol], NEMOPHILA [Hypnosis], DADAROMA [Lucid Dream], JILUKA [Lluvia], HANABIE [We Love Sweets], A CROWD OF REBELLION [Re:Create of the Re:d], POLKADOT STINGRAY [any song], MUTANT MONSTERS [Abnormal], ASTERISM [Church], NOISEMAKER [Hunter or Prey], BiSH [The Night When Stars Twinkle], SCANDAL [A.M.D.K.J.], DEEP GIRL [I kill], Mrs. GREEN APPLE [Inferno], BRATS [I'm Glad You Didn't Care], THE ORAL CIGARETTES [Frenzy Hey Kids!!], GIRUGAMESH [Drain], LiLiHoLi [From Darkness to Light], and many many more...
Ah thank you my friend 🤘
to throw more bands at him, I suggest Bridear, my favorite of all these bands. And does anybody know where he's from? He said they get most of their musical inspirations from the UK and here in the USA, so I was wondering where he was
Now you are react to Nemophila, for next bands, Asterism (trio instrumental with female guitarist) and Ningen Isu (older but heavy music and heavy riff).
also if you want to hear the singer of Nemophilo do her voice thing check out Revive
❤️
@g.o.t games you like her vocals then you need to see her growl. Try dissension or revive. You may also want to check out some of their covers from the likes of maiden, kiss, motley crue.
As someone has suggested you should listen to rolling quartz from Korea
Can’t wait to see your second Nemophila reaction and what song you pick!
MONSTERS IS MASTERPIECE
I'm also waiting for Nemophila to tour UK, seen both Babymetal and Band Maid so Nemophila are next on my wish list.... I suggest listening to Dissension next!
Great reaction! Check out "Oiran" from the Naon Yaon 2021 festival.
Man if I’m feeling a little low and need an uplift I’ll just put you on hahaha Fkn love your reactions.
I thought you would like them 👍😎🤣
For me, the musicianship and variety of the playing elevates them above bands like Lovebites, but that's largely down to differing musical tastes which are more rock/hard rock than speed/thrash.
I'll remind you of a previous suggestion, too, for "The Hu", I think "Wolf Totem" would be an excellent introduction to them 👍😎😀
Yes, "the Waggaki Band" - the vocals aren't like anything you'll find in the west, but the band (two drummers) and the vocals are really good.
You were right! Loved them! 🤘
Great reaction to this amazing band. If you want a suggestion go back to the start and do their first MV called RAITEI. Then DISSENSION. They don’t have a bad song to be honest but RAITEI was my first taste of this great group of ladies and it’s ending is a killer.
Thank you for the recommendation!
5. 6. 7 New song announced for 3 consecutive months
🤘
😮
You always have such cool reaction! Very impressive!
I am waiting for a new reaction to Lovebites and BAND-MAID. And of course you need to check out Wagakki Band!
Thank you for your reaction!
More to come my friend 🤘🤘
NEMOPHIA Japanese ancestors loved and praised
Nemophila is a blue (Wildflower) in Japan it's blue and white like they're drums
And you don't have heard the best of them by far. For me Nemophila is the single best band at the moment.
They just put a new song/video out a day ago called "Ray Of Light". Definitely worth checking out! It goes super hard. :)
Oh yeah? Okay! Happy to 🤘
Yep that's our Banshee Queen Mayuphila🤘 Now there's one more group/song you really need check out: Hanabie - 'We love sweets' or the Hanabie - 'Ghost Mania' (Livestream)🌸🎌
Happy to! This was awesome
Nice Mayuphila first time I’ve heard that one.
I like yr reactions, you have huge positive energy, Do you ever give negative reviews? I'd like to see one
Just wait until you hear Mayu's full vocal range lol. You should check out their cover the Banana Song, I promise you won't regret it 🤣
Oh I can't wait!!
@@GOTGames haha banana gang check in!
My opinion about japan band
Galneryus(best neo classical power metal)
Dir en grey(best death/scream metal band)
BAND MAID(Best hard rock girl band )
Nemophila (best metal/scream girl band)
Lovebites(best power metal girl band)
So...for next reaction try galneryus or dir en grey...😁
Yep mine went Yoyoka, then Junna with her DOKIDOKI morning cover, then Babymetal, then Nemophila and so on....
Just so so much awesome music!!
Checkout their other songs will bring you to another level of joy
So much good metal from japan. Will add Broken By the Scream and Unlucky Morpheus to that.
Also, Hanabie. Hanabie = Harajukucore = FIRE = You need them in your life.
😮😮 I can't wait to hear more!
Next 🌺👉 ''Dissension''MV🤘
While Monsters may not be the most representative song with which to begin your Nemophila journey given how different it is from most of their music, its also one of my favorite songs of theirs, along with Life and Revive.
Same.
So interested to hear more from them!
Somewhat early on Nemophila did a great cover of Babymetal's Megitsune. Video on their UA-cam channel.
Que buen cover Megitsune uno de mis favoritos después de kurenai, Hellowen y Journey.

Lov'n your energy. You and Hafsa Sharaha from Morocco.(YOU GOTTA CHECK HER OUT) are by far my favorite favorite
reactors! I know I will be JAK'T ! Satisfaction guaranteed. BTW this is my first time hearing them so THANK YOU 🤘
I don't know what they put in these Japanese girls water because as you know UK and USA metal well has been dry for years. You're just getting started on all female Japanese band journey. There's three more gears and don't forget the nitrous. GOT TO PUT
🔱TRIDENT 🔱 ON YOUR LIST. Three female Japanese independent label band from underground Jpunk, Jrock scene. Legit vocals and plays rhythm guitar. Lead guitar is their BASSIST. Their MV "VOLTAGE" where's the last time they had one of thee sickest drummer on the planet. Her name is JUNNA
I'll put her up against anybody and lay 8-5 all day long. She does a flawless
drum cover of Through the Fire and Flames. Their drummer Geez Anzalone reacted to her and was as giddy as a prom queen. Indonesia is putting out heat. MUCH ✌️❤️🙏 FROM 🇵🇱🇵🇱 POLAND 🇵🇱🇵🇱
Where are you in the UK
Here's a suggestion for you maximum the hormone yoshu fukushu. They are metal and they are chaos incarnate but amazing
They are very unique, and if you look closely, you can see them performing on stage wearing BABYMETAL shirts.
😮😮
