Becareful with the hand sanitizer bear open flames or heat, it leaves a dangerous residue, always rinse well! Best to use rubbing alcohol as it doesn’t leave any or substitute for vinegar as a safer alternative. Vinegar has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.
Thank u for this video. I knew there was something else added to the dish liquid to make it act the same as the power spray. I saw the refill beside the main thing at the store and I refused to buy it. I thought to myself: I could make this. So thank u for the video 🎉
You don’t even need to buy this outright, can just substitute with the “infinity spray bottle”, I only use it with plain water for doing my grandbaby’s hair-dos. It’s gives a continuous mist so she don’t freak out like from a regular squirt bottle.. but it can work for this application too! Just remember that if you want the maximum strength and “power” you’ll need the Platinum Dawn, which only requires a few tablespoons worth.
Just use Peppermint Baking Extract. While the pure oil is more concentrated and potent, the baking stuff is easier to find, affordable and works just as good. I used Dawn, PBE, alcohol, and water to make a spray for my porch to make it spider free for a few years. I forgot all about it till I hosed down my porch one day and peppermint scented suds started pouring from the rafters. Lmao.

I wouldn't recommend using peroxide. Although hydrogen peroxide serves well as a disinfectant, it may react with certain chemicals in dish soap, potentially resulting in ineffective cleaning or creating harmful compounds.
1/3 fill with soap? Just double checking cUse most sites say you only need a couple tablespoons of soap whi h sounds like not enough..but 1/3 fill sounds like a lot.
A few tablespoons are recommended due to its high concentration. However, the optimal amount can vary depending on the grease level, water hardness, and dispenser size. It's a good idea to start with a smaller amount, perhaps a few tablespoons, and adjust as necessary. Spiders only appear if there’s other buggy critters around. They are your friend unless you aren’t keen on them hanging around your pad. 😂 You might want to see what it’s attractive to as this might be a bigger issue than friendly spiders.
2 ounces of Dawn dish soap, 1 ounce of alcohol, 13 ounces of water
This dish soap has changed my kitchen life. And now to be able to make it myself??? Fantastic! Thank you!
Thank you! I like that you got right to the point. Other videos on this hack were three minutes + long 🤣.
Just tried it. Works great. Thank you!
This has saved us so much money thank you
Nice saver you $3.75. You life is now changed 😂😂😂😂
@@fgrau7376 you laugh but even just ten refills at 3.75 each is nearly $40. That shit adds up over time.
I've been using the Powerwash to clean my Litter Robots, and I ran out, but remembered your hack.. and it works!! Thank you!!
Thank you ❤
I just did this!!! Thanks!!
This works great! Thanks man
@@SolluxDivide no problem
Worked like a charm. ❤
I used two hippopotamuses of 70% alcohol Hand Sanitizer 😂
It works perfectly. Thank You!

So far this is it.
Also cleaning vinegar for mold add lemon essential oil, water.
@@sunflowers6172 That’s a good hack! I love the idea of adding lemon essential oil. Thanks for sharing.

To be honest I had a similar thought, though, for watering seedlings
Ive tried this and its not foamy like the original, am i missing something?
So, did you actually empty the sprayer with the left over that's in the tube?
Does peppermint oil Erode plastic
Yeah, peppermint oil can erode certain types of plastic.

@bputneyPHOTOart I did not realise, but he still has great fast food recipes that are all completely original.
I use this on stains on clothes and it works perfectly also
It didn’t work at first, but I don’t think I added enough alcohol and then I just lightly shook it up and here we are. It works great.
What If it seems like it's just spraying non-foamy soap streams

I heard that the formulas are completely different. Have you seen any difference in terms of performance and quality?
@@ramennoodles69298 no. I felt they both were pretty much identical!
1 oz. Alcohol, 3 oz. Dawn soap, 13 oz. water
Does a third mean 75% of the way ?
I know I'm probably too late but it's 25
@@katrinamcmackins2070a 1/3 is 33.33% sigh
You actually only need to use about 2oz of dawn
I have heard using the platinum dishsoap is the trick
I haven't tried it yet, I had a BJ's bulk size🙄 of Dawn. I can't wait to try it with that soap!
Can I use Porxide??
I wouldn't recommend using peroxide. Although hydrogen peroxide serves well as a disinfectant, it may react with certain chemicals in dish soap, potentially resulting in ineffective cleaning or creating harmful compounds.
2 Mississippis 😂 Anyone else see that Billy Bob Thornton ep of The Big Bang Theory? Seriously though; thank you for this!!❤❤

Hmm ok.
It’s only recommended a few tablespoons if you are using the Platinum version. Other dawn products will content more water base.
I may have hit 3 Mississippi's...bit strong on ths alcohol smell but works amazing
It didn't work for me
Spiders also don’t like peppermint…so maybe this would work to keep them away as well.
Cats work better😂. I have 3-haven’t seen a spider in years.
