Seriously can relate to this speech. First person in my family to go to college and I'm paying my own way through. Taking 19 units per semester + working 40 hours a week. I operate on 3-4 hours of sleep max. Go to bed at 3 am and wake up at 6:30 to 7:00 to be on time to my 8:30 am class. Because I'm paying my way through college, sometimes I don't have a lot of money for food. But I don't even mind it. I have the opportunity to attain the success that will lift me out of poverty! I will succeed!

I watched this video 2 years ago and inspired me to work hard every single day when I'm not at school I play I ball in tell 11:00 P.M everyday and I strive for the nba. I am in 8th grade and I am in the top 80 8th graders in the nation and I'm ranked the 17th best shooting guard and I have the 4th best 3pt percentage And I lead my team in scoring and steals 19.8 AND 4.1. If you see me in the NBA its because of this video

I tore my ACL 4 years ago robbed me of my ability to play the Game that I love, that in turn my grades fell off, I was always angry and I was getting right with the wrong crowd. As it all happened I saw this vid, I decided to pick things up slowly, my mindset got better, my grades started improving and I had news that I was gonna get my knee fixed. Fast forward 4 years later I have my degree I have a great high paying job, my knee is stronger post operation and I’m at the best shape of my life. I’m able to play the game that I love again and I feel like I’m the best version of myself right now and its only gonna get better. This vid was one of the things that sparked me back then, give credit to these motivational speakers their words can lift you from the deepest hole you can ever be in.

No matter the outcome this ride has been one of a lifetime. Meeting people on LinkedIn randomly interested in the same projects I am, people with similar passions as me but complimenting skills just happen to finding me also and then tonight in a idea hit me like a lightning bolt with some help from friends on Slack and then this came on just topped off my night (morning?) , whatever you call it, just perfectly.

I'm a 14 year old guy who is tying to be very successful in life. I have been through a lot and lost my mother in the month of may ( who was my main inspiration) from a disease that had no cure. My mother and father wanted my sister and I to be very successful in life. My mother inspired me to play basketball even though i was bad at it at the time and i still play the sport today. She told me " You are a very smart boy and you can be anything you want to be." i'll never forget those words.

For people who think you shold not sleep to be successful is stupid he is saying you might have to be willing sacrifice anything to become successful.

what its means isnt u cant sleep at all. the real meaning behind this masterpiece is u need to focus, sacrifice, hardwork. sleep in this context mean partying, have fun, slack off. sleep for athletes! not like normal people who usually spend many hours sleeping. u sleep at 10 p.m and wake up at 6 a.m! then practice again. its the real meaning

Whether you wanna be a basketball player, doctor, teacher, whatever.

The video is talking about the work they did to get to where they are, and how that when you get there, they are working hard to stay there. Parks and gyms never used to be near my house, I went outside to the driveway and practiced my crossover every chance I got. It's things like that, they are trying to stay there by working hard. Almost none of them came there with trainers and professional equipment. They were still in the Ghetto in High School, they still found a way to work hard.

I never mentioned religion only I mentioned God and GOD is not religion, our own ambition is not good enough in this life, if where not doing what GOD commands of us than all we do in life wont lead us to heaven, why should we focus on lifes materilalistic, money, ect. pleasures when we wont get a free pass to heaven with that. we as humans don't live forever physically but spiritually we do. so our motivation should come from GOD and GOD only.

You sound like a government official man, "let them blossom to half their potential". I don't think God would want us to suppress ourselves by being "realistic". Everyone should be the best they can be! You sound like a person that does not want to see others surpass you, you want to contain them, cage them if you will. PATHETIC MAN. Not being in the best money situation right now I had to sell all weights that I had just too get a measly 200 dollars, but that didn't stop me I filled water jugs to the brim and did lots of reps to get the same experience, I coppied drills and training vids from youtube, cause God knows I don't have money for that. Excuses man... Excuses are for people who need them. Who don't have the discipline to pull through.

I was thinking that my lifestyle wasn't letting me live my dream and I was about to quit...than UA-cam recommended me this video, like a kind of signal. Maybe it's time to believe (?)

It's that those people don't desire it as much as they think they do. "No parks within distance." That's an excuse. Find one, if its a mile, 2 miles, or even 100. Don't stop pursuing what you want. There are 3 answers in life, "Yes", "No", and "No excuses." People have to learn that.

At first I was like how could I chase my dreams if I couldn't dream? Then I realized...you have to make dreams your reality.

Alot, of NBA players had nothing like that, granted most of them did have a basketball court to play on. Allen Iverson's mum provided him with shoes, instead of paying the electricity bill... things are always hard.

I think the real difference is, some people dont want it as bad as others. Weather or not you dont have time or dont have a trainer or dont have a open gym court, you can still do it. You must want it so bad so that you have to make time for yourself. You must want it so bad that you will go and practice your ball handling skills. You must want it so bad that you must know what it takes to become who you want and succeed. You must want it so bad that you need it. The question is, do you?

I want to be succesfull as much as i wanna breath and i can prove it by saying i practice a hour a day right after school and a few hours later i come outside and practice fundamentals for another hour and on the weekend i practice for sometimes 3 hours of constant post, dribbling, layups, jumpsots and i try to cut down my eating habits and if im really on fire ill play sometimes from 5pm to 10pm and when your a 12 year old center at 6 foot its hard to get motiveted but it been going for5 month.

this video is about sacrificing desirable things for success, such as partying. this video shows that whilst some people sleep!, whilst they party and whilst they waste their time YOU should BE WORKING HARD CHASING YOUR DREAMS and whilst they rest YOU SHOULD BE WORKING HARD IN THE GYM OR ON THE COURT
