This is a big one! This controller is a world first for Xbox in more than one way, being the first to 1000hz (1ms Response Time) and the first with Anti-Stick Drift thumbsticks. At only $40-45 (sometimes even cheaper) it really does make you step back and consider the controllers these companies have been capable of! Now that GameSir has pulled the trigger for Xbox, I think many others will follow in time. With luck, they'll drop a PlayStation controller at some point too! Thank you guys so much for checking out this video, I worked very hard on it and heavily thank GameSir for sending the G7 SE over pre-release. I hope you guys enjoyed this one, and I'll see you all in the one!

UPDATE: The V6.28 update for the software featuring the 1000hz polling rate has arrived for Xbox & PC! You can choose between 250, 500, and 1000hz but both 500 & 1000hz disable the headphone jack for some reason. My guess is that it's some sort of power issue, but I could be wrong. Anyways, enjoy the update!
It was mega late and I'm super upset about that regardless. Stop releasing unfinished products :)
I heard the Yeat and auto like and sub keep going
@@johnscotlinksl literally anyone on pc would be fine with a wired controller
@@johnscotlinkslwired is better. Response time 😊
The latest firmware update, v 6.25, has caused the triggers to hit the maximum and still have about 40% of the trigger pull still remaining. Example: ua-cam.com/video/Yn5tPCdbrY0/v-deo.htmlsi=CF_at8K7UaEJZPFi
yo @vCuda , sorry to bother but which was the most complete controller? the T4 Kaleid? thanks in advance!
4 back buttons, hall effect sensors, trigger stops, clicky buttons, and swappable thumb sticks/various heights would hit all the points.
basically a elite 2 with hall effect and clicky abxy
and 2 remappable bumper buttons as the razer controllers have basically always had. and a bunch of other things (like adjustable trigger deadzones; reWASD only affects this a tiny bit), but those are the basics we gotta get to asap
Having thumbsticks that the force to use them is adjustable would be nice as well but otherwise yes to everything else!
@@cujoman187 So kinda like the elite controllers have except without the drift that comes with loosening the sticks?
Integrated mapping allowing to map any keyboard key would be more than welcomed too.
I love your humour.
And your videos.
I wish you to gain an interest that gives you a broader public interest, thus gaining more people to hear your insights on whatever it is you pursue further.
I found this channel a couple years ago when I wanted to get my first pro controller (ended up choosing the razer wolverine te) and its fast become my favorite channel on youtube. I laugh my ass off every video. Great content man and thanks for the laughs.
Bro no UA-camr is as hilarious and informative as this dude . Trying to learn if this controller is for me while laughing nonstop is very difficult 😂
Facts on facts
I don't even play with controller literally at all, I just love your vids lol your too funny keep it up.
Thank you for testing this controller! I was wondering about this one!
I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS😤😤
To add on what you want to include they could also make the front casing somewhat translucent and install an rgb led light in it to give it a soft pastel colour effect along with the clicky buttons too
Never heard or seen this controller before i do love the white one got a soft look to it like a smooth white mochi
Idk what is wrong with people to like clicky buttons so much

I had a Xbox controller on console, then went to a PS4 controller for PC with 1ms but it’s a bit harder to play claw so I got back buttons, and now this controller looks end game, it has the ergonomic Xbox shape, 1ms, and Hall effect sensors, which checks all the boxes for me ✅
@donald5989 1000hz wireless controller *might* no be possible yet.
Anyways, if you're on PC or close to your monitor wireless is useless.

Got one of these a week ago and it's honestly the best controller I've ever used. The hall effect sticks are a game changer. My aim feels so much smoother with this controller. If they could add 2 more back buttons and trigger stops it would be perfect.

Just ordered one after watching your review, but could not let them know I came through your channel somehow? Maybe they'll read the comment. Thanks for the great review man. Can't wait to try it.
Great review as always Cuda
Have u heard of the Flydigi Vader 3 pro, i think it might be a legit competitor to the gamesir g7 se. Mechanical abyx buttons, hall effect sticks and 500hz polling rate, microswitch triggers and 4 buttons on the back. Oh and it's wireless
Not for the Xbox though

I would definately be up for paying 100$ for a same controller with ABXY and Directional Mechanical clicky buttons and trigger stops. If they can get this done which I think they will in future its over for scuff and beaver imo.
the marketing for the name is good though because it’s the g7 se so they can make an se pro or g7 pro with the hall effect sticks etc which makes it even more possible
bro battle beavers are the best right now. Almost every Pro Apex player uses Beaver for a reason.
@@kavid8120 For several reasons, mainly :
- Ultra customization
- Efficiency (+ overclocking capacity)
- Good build quality
- Trend
Oh, and also price doesn't mean the same when your tool is for competition/work than leisure, especially when you're sponsored and can have several gamepads for free in order to be sure to always have at least one working perfectly.
There may be some more reasons, but durability and a great price/quality ratio are not part of it. It's like racing cars : they are the best on earth if you want to race, and got tons of cash. But for a daily ride there's nothing worse, because high efficiency isn't compatible with reliability, utilitarian pragmatism, economic sense etc.
@@kavid8120bc they're sponsored? It's the same reason every cod or warzone player uses scuf, they're getting paid to
@@kavid8120I hated my battle beaver. Not the old scufs but the new ones are fantastic. No way is it better
When you showed the clicky buttons I was like "Come on dude! This would have been the perfect xbox controller" I always wanted tactile buttons on my xbox controller. Guess I will wait and hope they release a super duper all inclusive version. Also I like the fun editing you did in the video.
Loving Simpson hit and run soundtrack

Thanks for doing the resistance test. The reason Xbox controllers are my favorites over third party ones is that the analog resistance is fairly low. My Series X one started to drift so I'm trying the G7 SE now. The membrane buttons are actually a positive for me, since I disliked Razer's buttons on a Wolverine and returned it.
i like clickt buttons i just put some in and they aren’t loud and just are fast. sounds like a quieter dpad i love it so much lowkey. no soldering needed to put them in
Is it wired only?

Is your G7 SE still working fine? Without any kind of problem?
Bro is living retrowave.

Absolutely dope, keep it fly.
I had to come back to your video after playing with the gamesir g7 se to thank you for the tip about setting the triggers yourself. Because when I originally went through I use the hair triggers thinking that was going to be virtual trigger stops basically. Like you said, the way that they actually work are borderline psychotic. After I set them up the way that you showed, everything feels great now. Back when I was using the "hair triggers" everything was shit I actually thought I was getting worse at the game.
was waiting for this
the regular tension on the series 2 sticks seems to wear out pretty fast but using the tension adjustment prolongs my use of the controller to over 2 years on average before they go bad on me i like my series 2
The series 2, was the best controller ever bought, I've had a lot of pro controllers scuf prestige by far the worst. I'd never buy another scuf. Over priced trash, they feel like a cheap £25 controller. My elite series 2 got stick drift after 6 month.😢😢
@@geordie9997lol those old scufs were dogwater. I’ve had my instinct since release haven’t had any problems with it. All my old scufs either broke paddles or buttons would just stop working. Corsair bought scuf and these new ones are really nice in quality. I have a series 2 that I use for wireless gaming but my first one has the worst stick drift I’ve ever seen.
I actually prefer the the membrane ABXY and dpad over the clicky switches. The clicky ones feel great but just require too much force for me to press when I'm playing games that need them a lot.
I would love to see you add how much force it takes to actuate the face buttons in the future with that new force gauge you got.
I have a razer controller with the mechanical switches that are so hard to press they are useless and I won’t use the controller.
I hate clicky buttons.
Glad i'm not the only one that likes membrane ABXY, it feels like a stock Xbox one controller and my finger is used to it.
Especially if you play claw. Membrane are just the best. Click is difficult to press
I’m devils advocate here I love the clicky buttons I know it’s not much faster, but it feels faster and I like the sound😅
Hell yeah to the #4buttongang and the rest! Need that! Great review as always.
love the video man, keep it up!
You mentioned the possibility of them going with membrane to keep the price the same. They probably cheaped out on the face buttons and d-pad to offset the cost of Xbox licensing. They didn't have to pay for Microsoft licensing for the T4 Kaelid.
Good point
Don't know if this is a per unit issue, but I've noticed my T4 has way more play/wobble in the face buttons than the original G7. Wondering if you noticed that with any of their controllers?
To be specific: If I press the edge of a face button on the G7 it goes straight down. But on the T4, the button tilts. It's particularly noticeable if you hit the right side of B.
It's pretty annoying, but it could just be a defect idk.
Yo, good eye. The shell doesn't fit the buttons properly, I can't believe I didn't notice that. I knew the buttons felt different, but the internal design is so similar I thought it may just be me.
It's REALLY noticeable when you look at it from the front of the controller. Idk how long it'll end up delaying the video, but I'm gonna add this into my T4K review before it goes up today lol. Thanks for pointing this out! You're a legend
I may be the only one BUT I really love your content from Egypt
استمر يا بطل ( continue hero
It's a compliment
Your videos are awesome, dude. 😊
Love the controller, got drift when I turned deadzone completely off but this controller is the best by far for any budget controller. Feels amazing and aiming feels great on every fps game I have. Don't need any other controller
That's not stick drift, that's the stick not physically returning to 0,0. Stick drift is when the potentiometer malfunctions because a spec of dust got into it. Often it causes to stick to drift and max out on whatever coordinate the potentiometer controls.
@weegeeboy18 no, it's drift. I made sure stick was back to where it should be and still drifted to the left. In the app I moved right arrow to raw, left arrow to zero so there was no deadzone and as soon as I put deadzone to zero in the video game, it automatically started drifting
@@bw536 yes but that isn’t stick drift… the issue here is that because there is no deadzone and the sensor is so accurate it is very unlikely the spring on the stick will allow for it to go back to exactly the centre spot so it will keep moving. I grant you it’s the same outcome but actual drift is caused by the potentiometer becoming worn which results in the wrong voltage. Both technologies would still only be as good as the centring mechanism but potentiometers by nature are much more prone to failure due to wear. And most Hall effect controllers allow you to recalibrate the centre spot if needs be.
@@bw536 Did the controller detect movement despite the stick not moving or did it just set off center? Every stick is slightly loose and doesn't center perfectly. That's what deadzone settings are for.
I bought a Gamesir G4 Kaleid and I was super pleased with it, and I was on my way to getting the G7 SE until I found out it didn't have the mechanical buttons.
I'm wondering if it's possible to frankenstein the original G7 with the SE to get the full Hall Effect + mechanical buttons
that would be sick
Oh man I laughed at least 3 times in this video, you absolutely gained my sub.
they could do the ultimate controller for a price of 90 bucks honestly. no need to break 100 at all if the k7 is under 50
Nearly perfect apart from no trigger stops
I'll make my own
@@Vizr. I thought the same to be fair. You can drill a 2-3mm hole on the side of the trigger and fix in a small screw to stop the trigger bottoming out.
@@T4SelNiNO works. But that start messing up the plastic.
I like to melt the same type of plastic around a screw place at the button of the triggers pressure point and then create a flat suface of hot glue (maybe 1mm thick) and a peace of scotch tape on top. As some sort of dampernur. Sound like too much. But it usually takes me no more than 10min to do on stock controllers.
With the ability of switching trigger sensitivity I won't have to mess with the trigger Hall sensor either. But let's see. If I can use the G7 SE more than 3 days before it pisses me off.
I'm so used to stock xb1 1708 that I couldn't use the new ones. Let alone all other third party that seem to fall apart on there own.
also missing 4 rear buttons
I’m glad I found your channel bro. You give proper information about the controllers and I learn a new thing with every video. Greetings from the Netherlands
Looks like I may finally be switching away from my $24 PowerA controller haha it fell off my desk without me realizing it and developed a tiny bit of stick drift from the stick being pushed in one direction over the span of a couple days.
Been wanting a controller like that for ages now so it’ll be nice not having to worry about stick drift anymore
I wonder how it's gonna be for long term use. My friends has an older model gamesir and both controller died in similar manner. Outside of stick drift, the thumbstick rubber is vaporized, some buttons got douvle clicking, and some other problems which made me scared to get Gamesir controller last week and decided to go with Horipad FPS for Switch. So, I do hope you made a long term review for this and T4 Kaleid cause it could be my next go to whenever my current one died in the future.
When i last looked into it, the normal G7s reliability seemed pretty average. It doesn't receive any more negative feedback than any other pro controller at its price. The T4 and G7 SE need a bit more time for us to see how things play out.
The main issues the G7 had were trigger issues, and USB/Motherboard failure
40 bucks every 4 months would beat the complete and utter frustration that deceives, and tears you down with trickery telling you your skills depleting when reality is you can compete with cronus Kyle with undeniablely everchanging thumb.
Spending 40 dollars every year to two years instead of 60 to 200 dollars every 6 months is humongous win in my mind
It could be your friend eats to much cheetos while playing.
Been using the t4k daily for about 1,5 months. Playing comp Apex. The sticks are wiggly, but that’s the only issue. It’s a really big issue tho’. So you get what you pay for.
I just bought one from their store.
I'm so sick of buying official Xbox controllers to basically drift within 6 months.
I just found out about this type of technology. I recently was talking to my roommate about how these controllers, official Xbox, are using the same technology for so many years. Too many problems with stick drifting.
I'm excited to use this controller. I'm not a type of person that's into all the other things...lol I just want to play. Maybe that's why I truly suck at COD. Oh well.
Maybe I'll learn more about all those features heavy gamers need.
Tbh, I really don't care that it's corded. It's fine with me. As long as it won't drift on me within 3-6 months, I'll will always be buying from GameSir.
Thank you for sharing this video.
I'll try to remember to come back to this comment and let people know what my experience will be after maybe a month or two.
Ur just dirty... I been gaming since the 80s never had a drift controller lol yall just fuckin dirty
How is it going?

I've been meaning to come back to this comment.
When first trying out the controller, first thing you'll definitely notice is the positioning of the start and the other buttons being lowered but I got used to it within a week.
I've probably put about 300-400 hours on this controller and no drifting issues whatsoever!!
Yeah the the buttons feel cheaper but I'm definitely not going to complain about that for the amazing price of this controller.
One thing I am a bit worried about is what Microsoft said after I already bought the controller. They said something about by January of 2024, unofficial accessories and controllers will not work. I truly hope they don't cut off this controller. They would only do that because they know damn well this controller well built a lot better imho.

I havent seen much people talking about this but the Kaleid can be used on an Xbox, Switch, and PS4. You can switch input mode by holding the gamesir logo button and one of the ABXY buttons. Great video just thought I'd let you know.
Have you actually used it on Xbox? And does that controller have 1ms response time on Xbox then?

Great vid! Curious on your thoughts of the darkwalker shotpad fps touchpad game controller.
I personally love the finished product. They nailed it!
Got my G7 SE yesterday, and I thought they were trigger stops and not the ones to lock the buttons. But the most surprising to me was the software, I have seen established brands *caugh AsRock, cough Sharkoon cough* with far worse software, only downside is, Windows store exclusive.
Also, still no 1000mhz update.
How about now
2 Questions:
Increasing polling rate only works on pc?
Also adjusting deadzones is saved onto the controller so can be used on Xbox or not ? Thanks !!
Great vid👍🏼
Thanks for posting this Scuff will buy out the company! If not I’ll buy it out!
I'm just waiting for Microsoft to build a controller where the bumper buttons don't break in a couple weeks. I only use them for Rocket League on PC so broken bumper buttons are way more of an issue for me than stick drift. I think like maybe 1 out of my 10 controllers have drift, where as they have all had the L bumper break.
For rocket league on all pro controllers I make the back left paddle the LB function and then I put boost on back right paddle... only way for me to save my LB from breaking

Very nice review! I just ordered one, my latest model xbox one's left stick is practically broken from pressing it in about a million times and has massive up and down stick drift, it's been almost 2 years though. That's what playing Apex Legends for hundreds of hours will do I guess lol. Sucks because the rest of the controller is still 100% fine... I'll keep it as a backup controller or use it for my raspberry pi. This G7 SE looks clean, has the best hope for no stick drift sounds like, and I'm quite used to the squishy buttons and plastic grip, so no biggie there. Can't beat the price, and sounds like it's better than the default xbox controller, so I'm excited to use it and play Apex without having the curser slide up and down like ice-skating while I'm trying to loot, armor-swap, or remain still lol.
how is the controller on apex ?
any update?
@@luckymoe1713 it’s still working fine, put in over 200 hours or so of Apex abusing the hell out of it. The sticks are maybe slightly looser than when it was brand new, but there’s no stick drift at all still as advertised. All buttons working and the back button locks too. And while the promised upgrade to increase input speed even more hasn’t happened yet, they (gamesir devs) did do one upgrade which is nice. My only gripe after using it thus far after some months is the d-pad…it kinda sucks ngl, I really miss the latest Xbox controller d-pad - I keep selecting the wrong item to use when playing apex…gotta be very precise with it. Also I wish the start and select buttons were moved down just a tad. Minor nitpicks overall, it’s a great controller for sure. I just really miss the faceted round d-pad of the Xbox one controller.

Hell yes give me a playstation controller. I just bought one of these going to give it a try, thanks man.
Im using the Elite controllers since the beginning and those still feel the best in my hands (the elite 1 being even better than the elite 2, for some reason more easy to accidentally pushing the LB or RB). One thing I love about the Elite (or maybe even on standard xbox controllers, never checked it) is that you can disable stick click, all other third parties dont have that option.
Another thing which I noticed is that the audio through this controller just sucked!!!!! Soooo bad that I had to connect the elite controller through cable (so it doesnt turn off) and connect headset on the elite because the sound in chat was terrible, will try how it is in game later because when I heard all kinds of noises I dont want to hear I immediately switched headset to the elite controller.
Is that something you noticed too about the audio?
Side note, it is possible to disable stick click! Audio still sucks 😁
