Cuda, 8BitDo released an updated version of their Ultimate for Xbox, that now includes detachable cable and hall effect sticks.
My god how did I miss this. It's not a separate device, so I assume there wasn't much marketing but I still should've looked to make sure. Huge mistake on my part!
Thank you for telling me about this. I will link it in the description!
That puts it more in line w/GameSir's controllers, providing the sticks perform better today than they did when first used on the Switch Ultimate controller. I'll be purchasing one today!
@@vCuda They also updated that Pro 2 Wired for Xbox, adding a detachable cable, but this one still doesn't have hall effect sticks.
I believe they released both not that long ago.
It's not very good. It hurts my hands (a little smaller), like bad. Also the included cable is shorter than Gamesir's and for me, the major dealbreaker is the non reactive Y button when using the RB/RT buttons (I play efootball a lot). Gamesir G7 SE was better overall but had the same Y button issue. I returned both. Today I just received the G7 with microswitch buttons and I will test over the weekend but I am really hopeful it's going to be IT for me. Thanks for reading
@@vCudaNo fly didgi apex 4 or vader 3 😢 flawed review (jk i love u ❤️)
Apex 4: $85 aliexpress, $160 amazon (if in stock)
Vader 3: $50 aliexpress, $80 amazon
hey man between t4 kaleid and G7 SE which one shoukd i buy? for pc only, and appart from that, if i should decide between those 2 and the 8BitSo, which one would you recommend? @@vCuda
All Gamesir has to do is make a 4 back button, clicky trigger, hall effect controller with their level of quality, and they immediately put a dent into the pro controller/custom controller market. That breaks the 'meta', and I think they will actually do it at some point.
Make one like that for $70 and one wireless with same refresh rate at $100 and it is the insta goat. Trigger stops would be cool too.
I actually love the back button locks on my g7se for rocket leage
This, it's like they've all made a secret pact to not make the perfect controller, because once one of them does it all of them will have to follow suit.
with gyro and dualshock 4 emulation
and bind back paddles to keyboard buttons
Might want to look at a flydigi vader 3 pro
We are so back, i love you vCuda
Glad to see you get back to it. Please know that we want you to be great and we belive in you.
❤❤❤
More than happy to be seeing these types of comparisons. Bonkers this video has been 3 years in the making! 👍
was not ready to watch cuda standing up
Standing on controller-related business 🤓
Hes so big 😍
@@LiljamezZzbro... what!?!?
He can stand?!?
Should we stand too? Don’t want him to feel alone
Me not even owning an xbox or a ps, or even actually playing games with controllers still geeking out about your content 😂
A sorely needed recap, thanks a lot and super entertaining to see once again!
I bought the Gamesir T4 Kaleid because of you man. Nicest controller I ever used thanks to you.
Glad to see you back keeping you in my prayers! Great video it was worth the wait.
love you fam, we always here for you man, keep the videos coming
Yo bro thanks so much this’ll help me pick me budget pro controller. Cheers mate
Really awesome video in terms of info! And very nicely produced 🙌 Thanks vCuda
Love the videos met you a few years ago not sure if you still live in the neighborhood or not but your a cool dude
Yessssir glad to see you uploaded bro 👊🏾 hope you feeling a little better and remember WE ARE HERE FOR YOU !
Great video and keep talking to us, see you soon ! 👊🏾❤
It's always gunna be a good day when I wake up and see that you've got a new video out. I don't ever even need a new controller lol, I just enjoy your content.
Glad to see you back vCuda.
Also I don't know how long ago this was filmed. But I think Gulikit's KK3 should've made this list.
Glad to see you back at it! Love your channel bro
You're the only one I found that actually made a video specifically for what I was searching for liked and subscribed
rapid fast comparison. Thanks for the review bro.
Your review of the g7 se convinced me to get one and I couldn't be happier with it
Hey, how is it after 2 months?

What a comeback! Thanks Cuda!
Love your videos. Glad to see you back at it. The pre gain on certain channels is too high for audio. So usually i can crank my phone and do somethings else with fine audio. This one is scratchy? Its not really bad but it punches and has noise.
Man, you come up with some of the funniest things. No one else does humor like you 🤣. Thanks for these videos. As you probably noticed, I really enjoy them. 👏👏
Glad to see you back 🤙🔥
Just got the g7 se a couple days ago. Absolute game changer
you da GOAT cuda, we appreciate you fa making reviews dope nd entertaining to watch ❤
Thanks for the mention ❤❤❤
Great videos and vibes! The GameSir G7 has been my go-to since last year.
Yeah ever since cudas video on the g7 se I was lovin it but I had moved and forgot my controller at a friends house so now I either buy a new one or just wait like a year til I move back (I’m 100% just gon buy a new one)
@@candyman1310 It's a great one!
how is the wired connection holding up? i have a standard series X controller and the audio drivers/type C connection are failing
I had 2 Gamesir G7 SE's and both got the bad grinding on the left thumbstick at the top where it meets the anti-friction ring. I decided recently to try another one and this new one does not have the grind at all so maybe they fixed that but I can say that it is an awesome controller. Highly recommend.
Welcome back my friend!
Really appreciate your hard work and dedication
Your videos are a welcome alternative to me getting my FIFTH Xbox core controller.
ayyy bro is back, shit made me smile seeing an upload
You are the only person i go to for checking out the gritty details on controllers.
Great review, appreciate it!
ty for introducing me to the controllers, watching the whole video 🙏
Love the vid man. I'm still rocking an old spectra and it gets me by I'm thinking about jumping over to gamesir but I'm waiting to see if they combine all the features for a more premium controller 🤞 hopefully this year
Surely one of the most useful videos you've put out. Thanks for the content and keep hanging on dude ♥
Always nice watching your videos bro 😎 keep up the amazing work ✌🏼
thanks for making this video, it helps a lot
game sir is highly recomended due to his last review on them i picked one up. after about 7 months my right tigger stopped working and they worked with me and sent a brand new controller since the warenty was not up. Amazing.
I bought a Gulikit KK pro 2 because of you bro.. I beat it to death and it wont quit. I think it deserves a spot on this list for sure, Thanks bro!!
So pumped for this video!!!
Finally, i been waiting for this video for like 2 months, thanks a lot vCuda, take care men!
I just watched your (im not reviewing the scuff controller) from 2 years ago, man your voice has changed a lot. Yo getting old 🫣, wait, that means i am 😅 keep up the good work bro.
I have the PowerA and I love it. Great controller overall, low latency.
Love ya work mate
I'm not sure if you use Kontrol Freeks, but maybe if you do, in the future, could you please let us know? Love your channel! Super glad I found it!
I've been using my gambit for a year till the lb broke I emailed them and they responded pretty fast it took awhile to come but once I sent all the info they were pretty good so maybe they heard you! So thanks for that! Always love the vids and appreciate your input! Once my gambit goes I'm going with the new bfg for Xbox that one looks amazing! Can't wait to see your thoughts on it! Also I saw your going through some stuff and just wanted to say stay I know it hard but there's people out there who got your back!😊
Glad to see ya fam. 🎉🎉
Flydigit Apex 4 has solved the gradual loss of centering due to the spring loosening with its "flat bar return to center" mechanism. And it has hall sensors too. So, I believe it's the first pad to have solved the stick drift on the sensor and the mechanical level!
I love my Gamesir G 7 SE. It has been the best controller I've ever used since the Razer wolverine TE. All recommended by you. Keep up the great work.
My razor wolverine TE is starting to wear down (thumb sticks are peeling off and left bumper starting to work less and sometimes the x button near my left trigger gets stuck) after 4 years 😢. Too bad they discontinued. I was planning on buying the g7se because the paddles look like they’re in a similar position. Would you say the switch was easy and comfortable?
@@slashfan1019 yes. It's as small as the wolverine. I have big hands since I'm 6'5". The X button started to get stuck as well on my controller. That's why I went with the gamesir g7 SE. I love it.
@@slashfan1019 oh. I forgot to mention that the only downfall is that It can slip of your hands so getting the grips it will help.
@@nextggz sounds good, thank you!
Gamesir se or raver wolverine te, which one is better brand new?
8:36 I actually have this controller still. But after a bit over a year almost a year and a half i can report two recent breackages. The first was the right thumb stick breaking off... this was fixed with a toothpick (no im serious) widdled down to the perfect size and then shoved into the hold where the joystick broke...Still works really well. But the second breakage was the left bumper. Idk what happened but now it rattles and isnt staying properly attached to the controller anymore. Still works kinda
Great video man. Good to see you doing what you love. I heard in the comments you have a video coming out for PS controllers, but I was also wondering if you’d be interested in doing a video for universal (PC, Android, Switch) controllers. I’m a pc guy trying to turn my rig into a console-like experience (smart tv, router, moonlight, etc.) but so far I haven’t decided on a controller. Appreciate it, keep up the good work!
vCuda, thank you so much for this helpful review! Gamesir g7 se purchased on your affiliate link - no brainer there!
I got the elite core and tbh I love it. Hasn’t broke on me for a while now and I have heavy hands when playing games. Love it
Thank you for being the best channel on UA-cam for this content.
I'm almost 2 years in using my Gambit with all 4 backbuttons. Essentially replacing the facebuttons for me in all shooters. I agree the top buttons placements are a bit awkward, but they still feel great for detachable buttons tbf. LB/RB breaking too easily is really my only gripe.
i've been hitting my head against the metaphorical wall of reseachin pro-controlers for PC, so this review & the next one are coming in clutch for me
¡thanks 🙏🏽
LOVED THE VIDEO!
Recently got the 80$ Snakebyte controller. Braided wire cable for connection, hall effect sticks, two back buttons, and good trigger stops.
Thanks! Was just looking for a budget controller. Albeit got my Brook Wingman XB2, and testing my old trusty dualshock PS4 on my Xbox Series S. Buttons on the DS is much better, but after your review, i need to look into Gamesir 😊
Great video, I wish gamesir made a combo of the G7 and SE
Another dope video bro, But can you let us know about the Gamenetics controllers? Looks really good and it comes with 4 clicking back buttons and triggers. It would be a dope video cuz no one has talked about it in here
I would recommend staying away from Power A controllers as much as possible. 2 of my buddies including me got stick drift out the box, my bumpers became unresponsive within a few months despite never dropping it once and zero physical damage to the bumper or the contact.
You’re the best man, thanks for another banger
Epic video buddy ❤️
Can you rewiew the Snakebyte Gamepad Pro controller with hall effect sticks and 5 years of warranty?
Jacket still looks FRESH! Better late than never right!! 👏
Too bad PS5 can't get this amount of love from you, Cuda, seeing that PS5 doesn't allow as many 3rd party controllers like Xbox does.
They don’t ???
Sony wont allow love so yea they're the only ones to blame lol
Sony likes money, so they only want you to buy the official controllers mostly.
@@mechaboy0226 No, there's only 4 to 5 3rd party ps5 controllers.
Wasn't there an firmware update that damaged the third party controllers on the PS5?
I'm curious about your thoughts on FlyDiGi controllers (Vader 3 Pro, Direwolf, Apex 3/4, etc.), do you have a video about those in the works?
Maybe
Probably
Yes
I can say I have used Power A to Scuf controllers. All of these controllers have broken in one way or another in less than 6 months( I play a lot of FPS games). The Gamesir after 6 months and 1000s of hours of warzone. All buttons still work and no stick stick drift. If they made pro version of this controller with trigger stops and 4 paddles I would purchase it right away.
Thank vCuda for the original recommendation of gamesir.
Everybody talking about the flydigi apex 4... have you heard of it? Great video btw!
Great Video! thx!
😂 Love how there are sticks on the triggers of the Powera enhanced.
welcome back!
amazing video as usual, can you make a detailed video on the FlyDigi Apex 4?
Plan on it!
Looking healthy V great review as always 🤟🏿
He is back!!!!! 🔥 LFG!!!🎉
Speaking as someone who only plays fighting games; the octagonal gates on the Gambit, and Pro BFG also from Victrix, are THE selling point for a fighting game pad. No one else is offering them for PC, Xbox, or PS controllers. Additional buttons, trigger stops, low latency, etc. are pretty much common place and while those are all fantastic features of a 'pro' controller, absolutely nothing beats the confidence you get during a combo than being able to securely slam the analog stick into one of those 8 beautiful corners. If you prefer a leverless or traditional arcade stick for fighting games, or you're playing anything other than a fighting game or classic arcade title, then you won't find them useful.
How is the gamestr g7 se long term?
When does the high end controller video come out?
Bought a g7 se and a LLTGEM case for travel could not be happier
The "chitty chitty bang bang" edit from bad boys had me geeeeeekin out 😂
After 3 xbone controllers failed on me, I made the leap to an elite series 2. Stick drift day one out of the box. I was pissed. Naively, I exchanged it instead of returning it, however, the spirit of Phil Spencer must've been watching over me since the replacement has been going strong for over a year now, which is an eternity in the elite controller world from what I've gathered. But, I'm walking on eggshells, just waiting for the day it dies. When it does, that G7 SE def has my eye. I always look forward to the vids, dude!
Elite 2 would be perfect if they hadn’t cheaped out on components. I went through two in about a year and on both the bumpers started failing: first one after about eight months and the second one after only ten weeks of semi-daily use. I have a Vader 3 pro arriving today, sorry Microsoft, you really dropped the ball with Elite 2
No gamesir T4 kaleid??? I’m confused because I thought you said it was like a better version of the g7 and g7 SE…
thanks for making this. hope you're doing well man. I feel like controllers these days are so close to being great but always have some fundamental flaw. I wish we could get a controller with good ergonomics, two buttons up top by the bumpers/triggers, and two on the back, 1 ms response times, and hall effect sticks. I'm still rocking my 3 year old razer wolverine te (v1) and the sticks are balding. Razer is very close, if they could get hall effect sticks and 1 ms response time I feel like they'd have the market in a chokehold.
Great video!!!!
If you're playing on Windows 10, the Gamesir G7 SE can only go up to 500hz/2ms. To use 1000hz/1ms, you need Windows 11. I'm not sure about any other OS or the regular G7. I still highly recommend the G7 or G7 SE, depending on your preference. I'm using the SE on Windows 10, and I love it. Thanks for making these vids vCuda.
@@SanSan-fv1um I dunno.
As a competitive gamer, not caring about price what controller is best for fps with back buttons of course. And I player console so can't overclock. Out of your options what would you pick? And out of my options of what controllers I have being elite series 2, thrustmaster, razer series 1 and 2, scuf instinct mouse click xbox and Victrix what option is better
I was surprised that t4 kaleid from gamesir is not on this list, its the best controller ive ever had and is basically the best parts of the g7 and g7se.
HESSS BACK
Can you check out the hyperx clutch gladiate? Also glad you see you back bro, hope you're doing well
One thing i will say about the gamesir g7 is that shape of the controller, more specifically the shell is that of a nintendo switch controller, which just doesn't feel right in my hands compared to a regular xbox controller. Since I manly play on pc i use the t4 kaleid as it simply is impossible to beat for the price. if the victrix gambit could actually last for longer than 2 weeks - 2months without breaking it would actually be good, but it just does not have the build quality.
what about the Gamesir T4 Kaleid and the newly released (and name sharing) Gamesir Kaleid?
The 8bitdo ultimate 2.4g version has hall effect joysticks and fits in this budget as well. And in this price range also has a nice dock with usb pass through. Idk how it compares to the g7 se because i haven't used it, but i can compare it to the fusion pro 2 and the 8bitdo has been way more reliable.
In the market for another controller, good timing 👍
I'm a bit confused didn't you review the 8bitdo ultimate controller back in the day? I remember searching for reviews for it before getting it and this was how I found you in the 1st place.
G7 SE is a wired gamepad which is way inferior to V3 Pro. I know because I have both. Yet their prices are close. That I don't know why.
