I'm not in the market for a controller. I have 2 awesome Vader4 Pros here. But, I very much enjoy this video. And particularly your energy and general style. Thank you! And the moustache... It's good. Bigger is better - let it grow! Word of advice: If you go for huge, the first months suck, because the hairs will grow down. But try to keep them in shape with a hairdryer. Once they're longer, you can shape them easier. DIY moustache wax - melt 3 parts bees wax, 1 part coconut butter "au bain-marie", and add few drops of your favourite essential oil for perfume. Pour in a small round vessel. Let it cool. Apply in the morning with a hairdryer. Optional. remove at night with hot water and a comb. It will look good on you for sure!
NGL based on your review I picked up the BIGBIG WON R2 Pro, with dock and sticks - for £67 I kept it - if the performance is there, price absolutely still matters and this shines - no pun. It really does perform, back buttons are superb, bumpers also, so much to be happy with in this controller and since they ALL seem to have some weak points, finding what works for you is key.
Had this controller for a few weeks, out of the box everything seemed great. Responsive, liked the paddles, buttons, bumpers, ect. Now the sticks were my issue. First the actual thumbstick has no grip, I thought I was headcasing about it. After I took the controller apart and put on stock xbox sticks it felt much better. By the way, for owners of the controller you don't have to do that. They make different sticks for this controller, specifically more grippy. I've only seen them on aliexpress so far, but they are available. I wanted this controller to be my new main controller for comp FPS games. Even after swapping thumbsticks something still felt off. I had a buddy order one around the same time and he was complaining about the sticks feeling loose. I chalked up my complaints to that and returned it. Maybe it was that, maybe it's just retraining your brain after using potentiometer sticks for 20+ years to get used to it. Regardless the Apex 4 has HE sticks and a tensioner so I am ordering one of those to continue my search for a new FPS main controller.

Ive actually been using it for 2D games and I have better options like the M30 by 8bitdo, for 2D games. It works pretty well for them. The back paddles are great, though hard as hell to pop into the back. Feel like im going to break some shit, but they seem pretty good, if you like the Elite 2 style of paddles. Still prefer Scuf's Series X controller for back paddles. Fingers sit perfectly in the button groove for me. The sticks now have anti friction rings which feel alot better when rotating around the edges. One new thing I love, is the ability to adjust stick acceleration on the fly(sensitivity). There is LED's around each stick now and depending on the color it shows you which sensitivy each stick is set to. No longer is there a mode for no deadzone or more deadzone, now its just set to No Deadzones no matter what, for both sticks. What you adjust now is the sensitivity of each stick. I was playing Super Monkey Ball Deluxe on PS2 recently, through the emulator, and I was able to set the sticks to low sensitivty mid course, to manuever over some really thin paths that usually fuck me up with regular controller sensitivity. Its a cool tool to fuck with mid game. There is also trigger stops now and they are pretty good. Similiar to the Elite 2 where theres a little bit of movement before you hit the stops. Not in the mouse click style of the Scuf's. You still have the macro and turbo features and pretty much everything else the previous model had. The face buttons are also more in line with the quality of a Series X controller. The buttons dont get stuck like they did in the previous model. With the Brooke 2 adapter you can use the controller wirelessly on Series X, and ive had no disconnects, super responsive. Little bit of a pain in the ass to sync sometimes when switching devices frequently, but the last controller had the same issue. Battery life with the LED lights on is pretty shitty. It seems like after a 2 or 3 hour session the lights are flashing. Luckily it charges fully by my next gaming session. Wired is never a bad way to play anyway, so thats always an option. Got a few 10 foot USB C's and I sit close. This is no worse than the DualSense controllers, battery wise. Maybe I should try shutting off the LED's, but I usually only play in 2-3 hour intervals with breaks inbetween. Its a nice upgrade overall. For anyone unfamiliar with the difference these hall sticks make, boot up a twin stick shooter. Try one of these controllers (KK2 in no deadzone mode, or this one normally) and compare it to an OG Xbox controller. The difference in how accurate and quick the aiming moves is huge. Thats where you can really get a feel for the difference. Its crazy how much deadzone most of these controllers have. Even my 300 dollar scuf controllers. Hoping to see hall sticks get implemented in more controllers. Regular Xbox and Elite controllers are the worst. Massive fuckin deadzone. Dont know how the fuck that passed testing. I noticed it since the Xbox One. I thought 360 sticks felt pretty good, and PS3. PS5 controller is decent too. These hall sticks crush everything I tried though, as far as responsiveness of movement. Most of my muscle memory is from using deadzone controllers however. So that plays a part in why I might use a Scuf or something with more deadzone for specific types of games like an FPS. I think that just comes down to re-training my brain. I also like a little tension on the sticks and these sticks are a little too light for shooters, for me. I use medium tension or Xbox 360 stick tension on the Elite 2 for those types of games. The Flydigi Pro 4 has adjustable tension, rubber grips, hall sticks and other similiar features, plus clicky micro switch face buttons and Dpad. Pretty much all the features I wanted in a single controller. Should have that in by tommorrow. Interested to see how it stacks up to this. Its about twice the cost, so it better be improved. Im pretty obsessive about using different controllers for different types of games. Really enjoy finding the "right" tool for a specific game. I have 4 modded Joysticks as well that I switch between. I like completing a high volume of playthroughs on the channel and enjoy old and new games equally, gameplay being king.
if no is paying you to do it, please do not ever type that much shit again. also why tf you doing reviews in the comment section of a review video on the same controller.
Bro i had this controller for 2 days and back g3 button just stuck in. Thats my jump paddle in cod. Good controller but i wish the back buttons were reliable
That sounds shitty. I have not actually used the back paddles on this thing yet. I only popped em in a few times to check out the feature. I rarely use back paddles but its a cool feature for certain games, for me. I find creative uses for em sometimes. Good to know. I was not feelin the quality of those back paddles when I had to brute force those fuckers into the back. Dont like when putting something in feels like your going to break the controller. Makes me not wanna fuck with em. For me I dont like leaving back paddles in since it changes the way the controller feels, holding it normally. Atleast these ones do. Scuf has the right idea with thier Xbox controllers. Theyre both out of the way, and right by your fingers, ready to fire off. No taking shit off or putting it back on. I would be less likely to use them , because I dont want to break the shit.@@Deleterfps
UA-cam deleted my response. That sounds like shit. I only tested them for a few seconds, but did not like how it felt like the controller would break any time I put them in or tried to remove them. Real shitty design with that too. @@Deleterfps
Amazing review, I'm enjoying this controller its been a roller coaster of issues with it. First i had connectivity issues that still exists but has gotten better with the firmware updates. The buttons not being mechanic was very misleading and i even got the replacement ns33 kit and its still the same buttons that came with the controller. My triggers started making creaking sounds but oiling them up fixed it. I don't use the paddles but i heard they're breaking on people.
The QC issues popping up on Reddit for this seemingly new controller is concerning, it doesn't feel like only a few people are experiencing this among the masses. Well Amazon or Aknes doesn't sell these in my region so I don't want to take the risk with it. Will be waiting for your review on the Apex 4 and Cyclone pro, take care bud!
The firmware update process is the best out of these controllers I have seen so far, and I've got the 8BitDo Ultimate, Cyclone T4 Pro, GamSir various models, PB Tails Crush and now the KK3 Max. It's so quick and simple, just drag and drop the firmware file and the controller does everything else and disconnects - How much more simpler can it get?
I wanted to do buy a pair of 2 new controllers for some couch coop fun but after some research i think i just stick with my 360 controllers for another decade.
The triggeers and back paddles are flimsy and known to break, that's the major issue besides the initial high input lag in wireless not the face buttons
Been watching you for years, absolutely hilarious shit Keep it up. And i learn things about shit i wanna waste money on. Thanks for helping me make poor financial choices with the best tech
Really nice and in depth videos, you are literally the best controller UA-camr if found. Quick question, are there any wireless controllers you would recommand for PC? I looked through your videos and the Gulikit King Kong 3 Max looks just about perfect but its pretty expensive, are there any other options with a similar or at least aceptable wireless response time you can recommand?
first time viewer. your test methodology (x-input tester) for latency doesn't show actual in game latency. its not 1ms its around 4 in actual use. you missed most of the problems with the gryo being unusable. other than that your review is spot on, great presentation. im gonana click subscribe to see more of your content
I returned this controller on day 2. I like the controller but the back buttons are weird af. Also the g3 button kept sticking in(just on day 2). If you use back buttons they felt too hard to press and back paddles dont really have a good configuration to use. Really liked the controller, wish it worked out. Also the wireless dongle felt floaty for me. I agree wired felt better.
Got one recently and been loving it, only problems are the battery is silly small and the dongle might need some replugging a few times before Windows sees it as active to connect the controller. For the price it's fantastic. Which the case design could cater for the paddles being attached or have a paddle case there instead of the tweezer things
I have this controller. Overall it's nice but when compared to Flydigi Apex 4, I would recommend Apex 4 over this one. Built quality wise and the bottoms mechanism is way better with Apex 4. And you have a small display on the controller for you to do the botton mapping. You can even tighten the joystick resistant as per you liking.
Thank god the KingKong 2's mechanical switches are compatible with the 3. the stick issue disappeares when you tear down the switches, so really I don't know the cause either.
I have this controller since the start of february and I think it's great. However, the right joystick came slightly off center and the right bumper creaks a little bit.
Great review. I love the feature set of this controller, it's too bad about those build quality problems though so unfortunately it sounds like I'll be skipping it. So tired of crummy membrane buttons and horrifically shitty dpads. I'll be keeping an eye out for their next one, if they can just nail down those build issues then it'll be an easy buy.
This is the same reason I went with the Vader 3 Pro. The membrane face buttons and the horrible implementation of the clicky triggers of the KK3 Max are the biggest deal breakers. I don't get why this happened knowing that the Vader 3 Pro has been out for months at this point.
Speaking personally this is a skip controller. I am on my third one. 1st one had issues with the face buttons. 2nd. The LB would only actuate specifically in the center and wouldn't turn on after a firmware update 3rd. This one seems fine however when trying to use it and charge it can freak out. I have received a a refund each time and manage to keep the last one whilst getting a refund but I will be buying the flydigi Apex 4
I loved my GKKP 2, until I got the 3 and now I love that instead ... Though it does have some connectivity issues with my Steam Deck where it won't want to pair if I let the battery get low.
I have the kk2 pro still and is still by far better than any regular controller on the market and perhaps even better than most (pro) controllers out there in my opinion. I got tired of my analog controllers breaking all the time because I am aggressive as hell on my controller sticks. The only thing that I have ever happen was I had to clean the controller out once and pop the stick pads back in. I have had the gkkp2 for about a year and a half and after cleaning yesterday it still feels just as good the first day. It will be difficult to change my mind. If you have had the same issue like breaking analog and stick drift you will not be unsatisfied with these controllers. Well worth the price. I could care less about the latency on these controllers. I own people all day on mine and supposedly it has a not so perfect latency...but I play better with it and play worse on the PS and regular Xbox controllers including the elites for both. PS: dont lie to yourself if you are a true gamer and play for hours on end dont use a controller wirelessly...it does not make any sense...
Great review as always! You're reviews are the best for controllers srsly. Can you review the Vader 3 Pro, I can't make my mind on which one should I buy this controller or the Vader.
Always great content!! What are your thoughts on Razer controllers nowadays? Do you have any insight on if they are planning to release a new controller anytime soon? Seems like the last few drops have been flops
7:20 I've had my Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra for a month now (Got it at launch in Australia on January 26), and I can report no issues to speak of. Not even that grinding on the sticks. A bit weird how I'm the odd one out here, only needing to manage lighting and screen brightness due to bad battery life if at full brightness. But I did expect that, and the life is now actually good with what I got set up on it.
Yeah, I also have it over a month now and put some serious hours into it in fps and racing games and zero issues. So far I'm happy, and if it really fails in the next year or so I just send it back to amazon
@@S3mj0n By then, there probably is going to be another Hall Effect controller that'll be wireless. But if we're anything to go by, I think Turtle Beach was able to dial in the QC after the first month. Thank goodness that my Australia release was that much later. :)
Would have highly recommended this controller especially for the price but where it falls short for me is the triggers and rear paddles. One of the triggers has much more play i noticed than the other trigger and i play on the shortest trigger throw. 2nd the back paddles have a tendency to stick due to the back squares they fit on rub against the sides which is HUGE buzzkill for me and now making it unplayable in some games.
Hey, please include a trigger distance test, controllers like the gamesir g7 despite having clicky or full options and hall effect, have a short max distance for non clicky and is significantly less then the full range you get on a Microsoft controller. for racing games especially this is not good. It would be great to know these kinds of things in your review especially with how bad customer service is with these companies :(

Maybe the difference in responsiveness between wired and wireless is due to a difference of latency. I don't understand why every single UA-cam review of controllers only mentions refresh rate and never latency. That would be unthinkable for a monitor review.
Tbh I’ve come to the conclusion that if your on pc your probably a sweat(can aim regardless of stick drift) so envision pro still stomps but with warzone mobile coming out I think this will still be a good investment for mobile gaming
i bent the back paddles to where i like them made it so much better lol. The 2.5 ghz connection i never had a problem. The only thing that ticks me off are the triggers. That button has to much slop and buttons feel cheap and like they will break if hit to hard.(i dont use the dpad to much so no comment there lol)
I just bought and whenever I’m on fort building it sort of jitters up a bit what is that about ? Like the joysticks moves up but not stick drift it literally just jitters up a bit
can u test with 2 controllers connected on BT.. and play some games if it stutters, lag and fps drop? can u? bcoz i have 2pcs kk2 pro gameplay is so bad, game stutters, lag and fps drop while playing.. i have to connect the other controller with USB and no more issue.. i need to know if kk3 max does not have that issue.. thanks
"tactile" doesnt really mean anything. Its a controller. everything about it is tactile. But for some reason the controller industry found a way to make people think it means "clicky buttons" which in turn made a lot of people translate that into meaning that it has mechanical switches. Kinda fascinating really.
There are even some people (saw reviews of this very controller) who believe that clicky = mechanical. Like, sure, this stuff is membrane and the shame’s really on them for initially writing “mechanical” on their website (yeah, that was a thing)… but then I can’t just take some reviewers seriously when their way of “dubunking” that claim or say it’s unlikely was just… to listen for sound?? Literally, there’s that one person that just brought their mic up close and said oOoOo look! It’s not clicking! That’s not how mechanical switches are supposed to sound, take a listen! (*proceeds to playing audio samples of Cherry MX Blue switches actuating*) Surely that can’t be mechanical! Really tends to show people don’t really know what mechanical *_switches_* are in a broader sense. I guess not everyone is a keyboard nerd! But yeah, this stuff is membrane, you could indeed argue it’s “tactile”… because that just could mean virtually anything (just not in the sense of Cherry MX Browns or Blues and whatnot). Words are merely what we make them, they’re not precise, more often than not.
06:28 Can someone explain what does he mean after the time-stamp, about hall effect creating a new and improved anti stick problems? He also explains it with "Future Dude--->" watermark on the right bottom quadrant while there are circles inside something outer coordinates wth?!
If your stick resets a few degrees right of the center point for example, at %150 sensitivity that effect is dramatically worse. Meaning, any slight drift is amplified with the increase in thumbstick sensitivity

That must've been painful to read. I only ever read shit Im not interested in when I want to punish myself. @@terps641
There is nobody better than this kid
The triggeers and back paddles are flimsy and known to break, that's the major issue besides the initial high input lag in wireless not the face buttons
Man looks like he is ready to wake up in the morning and before the sun and keep digging that hole till the day is done.
Zero 😂
Been watching you for years, absolutely hilarious shit
Keep it up. And i learn things about shit i wanna waste money on. Thanks for helping me make poor financial choices with the best tech
Really nice and in depth videos, you are literally the best controller UA-camr if found.
Quick question, are there any wireless controllers you would recommand for PC? I looked through your videos and the Gulikit King Kong 3 Max looks just about perfect but its pretty expensive, are there any other options with a similar or at least aceptable wireless response time you can recommand?
ill see you back in the future
This is not the first anti stick drift gamepad. But it can be 2023's first anti stick drift gamepad.
first time viewer. your test methodology (x-input tester) for latency doesn't show actual in game latency. its not 1ms its around 4 in actual use. you missed most of the problems with the gryo being unusable. other than that your review is spot on, great presentation. im gonana click subscribe to see more of your content
Let me know when the 4th one comes out
I have this controller.
Comparison between Gulikit KK3 and Flydigi Vader pro please. Thanks.
I'll be keeping an eye out for their next one, if they can just nail down those build issues then it'll be an easy buy.
so buddy where is the stealth ultra, i need to know what you think 😤
My rear buttons broke on 2 kk3 max’s
This is the same reason I went with the Vader 3 Pro. The membrane face buttons and the horrible implementation of the clicky triggers of the KK3 Max are the biggest deal breakers. I don't get why this happened knowing that the Vader 3 Pro has been out for months at this point.
You did a Apex 4 review? I just ordered one from ali express this morning. Fingers crossed I get it this year.
Speaking personally this is a skip controller. I am on my third one.
1st one had issues with the face buttons.
2nd. The LB would only actuate specifically in the center and wouldn't turn on after a firmware update
3rd. This one seems fine however when trying to use it and charge it can freak out.
I have received a a refund each time and manage to keep the last one whilst getting a refund but I will be buying the flydigi Apex 4
go and buy the apex 4 instead
"Not sure if anyone i work with actually watches these reviews" 😂
I loved my GKKP 2, until I got the 3 and now I love that instead ... Though it does have some connectivity issues with my Steam Deck where it won't want to pair if I let the battery get low.
just ordered this, but saw the gamesir g7 se is cheaper and people seem to like it. what do you think i should do?
Just returned this controller very Glitchy, although zero drift is nice the rest not so good.
I've never seen a better controller review holy shit
The QC on these controllers is terrible the top left back paddle became sticky within 3 days of playing with it
PowerA Fusion Pro 3 vs Gulikit KK3 - what would you choose?
I have had mine for about 40 days and I had 2 of my rear buttons stick. And they seem to be floppy round too not sure why
as a switch player
finally we have a good alternative to the power a fusion
Cuda what’s your primary go to contoller. I’ve had my Wolverine Razer for years and now I need a new controller. Any suggestions?
Always great content!! What are your thoughts on Razer controllers nowadays? Do you have any insight on if they are planning to release a new controller anytime soon? Seems like the last few drops have been flops
What contoller on xbox has the highest polling rate stock
Great video dude
Why don't you review the turtle beach stealth ultra ?
Are you gonna do a review of the new Turtle Beach controller?
super nice controller! Love it over all, except for the triggers. the triggers are hot, burning garbage
I got your message J keep up the good work 👏
Hey, please include a trigger distance test, controllers like the gamesir g7 despite having clicky or full options and hall effect, have a short max distance for non clicky and is significantly less then the full range you get on a Microsoft controller. for racing games especially this is not good. It would be great to know these kinds of things in your review especially with how bad customer service is with these companies :(
Damn this took a while to come out
Yeah it was about a month unfortunately. I’ll be honest with you, I’ve been very depressed. Doesn’t mean I should quit uploading though, my apologies

@@vCuda and thanks for another killer review
Weed helped me, honestly.@@vCuda
I just wish these companies would commit to better back buttons. I'm tired of the Eswap being my only option because of having bigger hands. :(
Maybe the difference in responsiveness between wired and wireless is due to a difference of latency. I don't understand why every single UA-cam review of controllers only mentions refresh rate and never latency. That would be unthinkable for a monitor review.
dude why aren't you a bigger channel? that was an insta sub
Vcuda I hope you are having a good day your vids are always amazing you give so much information

What KontrolFreeks fit on this controller
Tbh I’ve come to the conclusion that if your on pc your probably a sweat(can aim regardless of stick drift) so envision pro still stomps but with warzone mobile coming out I think this will still be a good investment for mobile gaming
20 k more till 100k almost there
I can’t wait!
i bent the back paddles to where i like them made it so much better lol. The 2.5 ghz connection i never had a problem. The only thing that ticks me off are the triggers. That button has to much slop and buttons feel cheap and like they will break if hit to hard.(i dont use the dpad to much so no comment there lol)
My boy is the best!!
I just bought and whenever I’m on fort building it sort of jitters up a bit what is that about ? Like the joysticks moves up but not stick drift it literally just jitters up a bit
can you use usb c cable to make it corded controller?, can you charge it with usbC ? can you use it while change via usbC cable?
Anti drift great, glitchy returned the first one after tried to update would not reboot, second one returned kept freezing.
I used the auto gaming recording feature ir whatever its called to farm my Elden Ring character to max kevel
Is it better than the gamesir g7 se ??? 🤔
The "to the point" guys back. Yippy, an Vcuda upload... "👍"...
has he reviewed the FLYDIGI Vader 3 Pro yet?

Are we still getting the review for the turtle beach?
Yessir
can u test with 2 controllers connected on BT.. and play some games if it stutters, lag and fps drop? can u?
bcoz i have 2pcs kk2 pro
gameplay is so bad, game stutters, lag and fps drop while playing.. i have to connect the other controller with USB and no more issue..
i need to know if kk3 max does not have that issue..
When will this come out for Xbox and how hard can I repetitively slam the paddles before they break?
why are none of these ever playstation / symmetrical stick layout
Because it’s not a natural grip, and a horrible design.
