So glad you’ve brought the series back. You’re looking better that ever, Deus. What a cracking suit! Thanks for another fantastic analysis.
thank you very much, although I should say I didn’t bring it back theres just always gonna be long hiatus between episodes, cause quite simply there not very popular sadly.
@@deusdeaconReviews it’s too bad. This series was quite good and a lot of people missed it entirely. NBC screwed the pooch on hitting their target audience with this show.
@@deusdeaconReviews I really like them ❤
Been subbed for years, i know it's probably strange to hear but man your vids got me through some times and well thanks man
Glad I could be of some help.
@@deusdeaconReviews hell thanks man loved those absenth reviews too! Taught me a lot. Think you'll ever do anything similar?
not sure but never say never, inspiration might hit
So glad to see you doing more
The man, the myth, the legend. Glad to see another video. Also lookin fly Af
Missed your show
I agree. The episode wasn't bad at all. I'm not sure why it received negative reviews.
11:16 I actually have that cookbook.
My library was selling a copy of it for two dollars and I picked it up. Do I cook? No, but it is a fascinating read and it is a MONSTER of a book. Easily fifteen pounds or more.
Hey Daecon.
I don't know if you're planning on doing H.P. Lovecraft Month this year, but I have some film suggestions for you.
1. 1995's Castle Freak. Inspired by the Lovecraft short story The Outsider and featuring the 90s Lovecraft movie trifecta: Stuart Gordon, Jeffery Combs and Barbara Crampton.
2. 1994's Necronomicon. An anthology film inspired by Lovecraft stories and starring Jeffrey Combs as Lovecraft himself, directed by Brian Yuzna with effects by Tom Savini and Screaming-Mad George.
3. 2011's The Whisperer in Darkness. Another Lovecraft movie made in the style of black and white films (similar to Call of Cthulhu) Inspired by the Lovecraft short story of the same name. It's subtle, classy and builds tension well.
4. 1988's The Unnameable. Based on the Lovecraft short story of the same name.
5. The Haunted Palace. Inspired by the Lovecraft story, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, directed by Roger Corman and starring acting legend Vincent Price and horror veteran Lon Chaney Jr
I'm not expecting you to take heed of, nor even use my suggestions, but I just thought I'd offer them up.
Keep up the good work👍
Yo, Skulduggery Pleasant drives a Bentley and Lecter drives a Bentley and SP’s cousin was a cannibal. Coincidence I THINK NOT
I wonder if you would be interested in talking about Dune (the lynch movie and the miniseries) there is a lot of hype at the moment, I know is sci-fi but I love your analysis and your way of making videos
Pleasssse upload more 🙏🏾 favorite UA-cam channel
YES!! …so happy that you are continuing with your reviews. I love this show but also super enjoy a very critical eye cast on Hannibal. …and, btw, I thoroughly appreciate your nit-picking on the depiction of the procedural details…so please don’t hold back. Anyhow overall another fantastic review…. thank you agai
21:08 :D))))))) love your humor!
Wonderful break down. Also, very sharply dressed!
Hey are those hellsing alucard guns behind you?
just the one, just the .454 Casull Auto
Beautifully put together nice suit by the way 👍🏻
A significant detail I think, is that Will was invited by Hannibal, but was unavailable because he was off arresting the boys. Hannibal had to make do with Alana Bloom, but he really wanted Will there. Considering he calls Will and himself Abigail's fathers a few episodes further on, he has wanted Abigail to think of them as her fathers too.
I can see where you're coming from but I don't think Lecter would adapt and improvise an elaborate display like that, cause you could also look at the flip side and say Hannibal knew will would be busy so used that opportunity, cause although he is trying to bring will "in to the fold" so to speak, he's also trying to set him up as a scape goat, so getting close to the people close to will fits right into that.
Welcome back.
Thank you for continuing the series. Although with flaws, Hannibal series is a diamond among glass.
That suit looks magnificent.
As usual your review nothing less that fun to enjoy.
I love these episodical reviews. I'm so pissed they cancelled Constantine.
Really glad to see you making reviews again. I hope you've been OK.
Cant wait for the day Deus returns to this series
Haha nice duds!! The blue suit really adds to the experience. Can't wait for the next one😄
That suit is awesome man! you really wear it well!
Ohh, this was a wonderful surprise! I was afraid you'd abandoned this series
Wow, all dressed up and killing it, Andrew! 🤵I always appreciate your in-depth reviews . 🌞
Thought his next video was gonna be on the Jumanji sequels. Or do those movies have SO many problems it’s taking too long and he wanted to focus on this first? You can tell me, I’m just asking.
I know, feels like forever waiting for the next Jumanji vid. I'd even thought he dropped the idea of doing all the Hannibal episodes.
Will you be continuing this series retrospective at some point?
of course, this was pretty much one of the reasons why I started my forensic biology/psychology degree purely because I want to make my critique better
Loved the review; I have read the comments, I read what you said, saying these videos are not very popular. Which is a massive shame because;
A) the review itself is amazing , very detailed and a great oversight
B) the show is amazing! Not like you’re reviewing some random Indie show!
C) reviews are amazing (did I say that already? 🤷🏻♂️🤔)
You do amazing job and one of the best shows on youtube. I hope you know that man!
SPOILERS AHEAD
I had never seen this show but decided to start after watching these reviews. Then I gave up on it and didn't finish the series. As time goes by Hannibal is shown killing a ridiculous number of people and kills a few just to cover his tracks after leaving key evidence just sitting out in the open. He even keeps a rolodex of tradespeoples' buisiness cards in the kitchen to help him decide who to kill for a quick snack. I found that the TV series diminished his character compared to the movies by making him a total nut instead of a nuanced killer. I remember in one of the movies a prison guard says he never worried about Hannibal coming after him since he always treated Hannibal politely, but I wouldn't expect that to save him from TV Hannibal. He kills so many people with provable connections to him that it defies belief he's not under active investigation. I'll be curious if Deusdeacon ever mentions this, especially if he gets to the rolodex episode.
Loving the beard and the snazzy suit!
Ay Last! Thanks for doing this. I live for this 😍
God damn, when it comes to anything Hannibal, Deusdeacon comes out wearing some of the best suits.
for a bit of added info that will be the designated hannibal review suit for season one now, ill probably change it up for season 2
@@deusdeaconReviews can't wait too see the next suit, the one you are wearing in this review is amazing.
Looking good!
Love this series. I always kinda assumed will's abilities were akin to superpowers, knowing shit bc of ~empathy~ that police couldn't get from forensics necessarily. Very spookily ambiguous, this show. I love it.
Damn! You clean up NICE! Also glad to see you’re getting back to this series.
Hurray! So, glad you're back with this series and absolutely love your approach to reviews ( which I play on loop from time to time) well done!
Where is the rest of your season review? Keep hoping you're going to post more. Please keep going
Well three reasons these videos take a lot time to make, 1 is just because there's a lot of research involved 2, I just started my degree at university so its quite tricky to find the time to write and film and 3 sad to say these videos get incredibly mediocre views so from a pure "health of the channel" stand point, Can't be my priority.
@@deusdeaconReviews didn't mean to sound snarky, just love your reviews so much when you post new one's I'm like a kid in a candy store.
Interesting that this episode was poorly rated. I watched the whole show after it aired and didn't think this stood out as somehow being weaker. The murders are some of the creepiest, and the development between Will, Hannibal and Abigail is excellent.
I want a women's version of this suit it's super sharp... Thanks for the upload💞
Looking fresh man. I'm stoked you uploaded.
I see deusdaecon and my Saturday morning just made. Also that suit is snappy
Been looking forward to another Hannibal episode review! Thankyou! 🤗
Glad to see another post 😊 You are looking very dapper, I love that suit and paired with the paisley tie and square 💙
Love Hannibal. such an underrated gem. And Mads joined my list of favorite actors after that show.
I have a couple lovecraft based movie suggestions for the next time you have a lovecraft month, both on amazon prime. "Intersect" 2020 directed by Gus Holwerda and "Sacrifice" 2021 directed by Andy Collier and Toor Mian
I’m well aware of both of those films I’m not thinking about lovecraft month at all though currently, i will say though sacrifice is just shadow over innsmouth again so doesn’t interest me
I'm so jealous of your suit. Not sure I could pull a 3 piece suit off but you make me want to try.
Always looking forward to your videos, suit is a nice touch too!!
David Bowie acting alongside Mads Mikkelsen would be such an incredible combination together. What a shame it didn't materialise. Although I'm not sure bringing in Hannibals uncle would have worked. I enjoyed the whole first series of Hannibal although I didn't agree with the creators interpretation. It was the final series, particularly the last episode that I found insulting
I think it would’ve been in flashbacks which wouldn’t have been too bad, seeing how lecter grew up with his uncle
You are amazing at this…I almost want to wait till you’re done with the series and then binge watch your takes. Keep it up.
A day Deusdaecon uploads is a day I'm excited for.
I've been watching your stuff for about 3 years now and been a patreon for two. Keep up the good work, I look forward to watching for years to come.
thanks so much for watching and donating it really does help a lot, I’m glad you enjoy the content,
Someone is looking extra dashing today.
Please keep these going!
I'm so excited to see this
These Hannibal videos are phenomenal and my favorite.
OMYGOD where do i send you some money?
if your'e honestly asking I have a Patreon, the link is in the description
@@deusdeaconReviews can do sir.
21:24 objection! shooting the woman could've startled the kid. He does have a loaded gun after all, ponting at Will
I said "comand or action" i never said shoot.
Looking Sharp in a Killer Suit ....
Woooooo! He's back! And with more awesome reviews!
Bruh. Are you losing weight?! This suit is killer regardless. Ty for the content.
yes I am, it will be more noticeable in the next video but this was the start of it, so thanks for noticing.
looking spiffy my dear fellow
Looking handsome! Love these videos!
Thank you for contacting it.
Gee, you're looking dapper!
Love that you restarted this series.
thank you but its not restarting theres just gonna be a long hiatus between episodes
I’m so happy you’re continuing this series!
I'm so happy there's more for this series! I love it so much!
lookin fresh af in that suit my man
Wow snappy outfit!!
A great series gone too soon.
Have you played Control I think you'd really enjoy it.
I’ve completed it on stream
I always loved the scenes of Hannibal cooking the best because it's often the peak of his manipulation, he's often entertaining guests - psychologically manipulating them - as well as physically manipulating his victims cooking them into a meal. It's also just great to see him showboating at he's at his most affable and soaking in praise. That fact that he made a smiley face with the sausage and eggs for Abigail is like pièce de résistance.
Mads described him as Lucifer on earth and I'd like to add the human personification of a cat with "purposefully knocks expensive things off the counter" energy
Think we could get a review on the 2006 remake of The Hills Have Eyes and possibly its sequel?
not really, Im not getting into detail, lets just say they aren't for me
@@deusdeaconReviews fair enough, I guess.
Glad Hannibal is back
Whatever's caused the hiatus on your channel just know thanks to your vids I've gotten right back into one of my favourite series. Thanks for the great content and hope you're doing well!
Heck yeah, he’s baaaaaack!
Nice suit 👌
Love the details you give each episode!
Hi,
Not sure if you're still into reviewing horror movie franchises, but if you are, I'd love to see your review of the Phantasm movie series.
I am indeed however I tried to watch the first film (and I admit this is personal preference) it really bored the arse off me.
@@deusdeaconReviews "I see, said the blind man..."
Well, in that case, would you consider reviewing one of the following?
1. The Scanners franchise.
2. Screamers.
I love this show
It continues!
Hey your back
Glad this series is back. I loved this show and love the way you break down all the minutiae and add your perspectives. Also glad your back been missing the content!
The only way I think he could know that they died together and the mother last is the way the blood splatter plays, the mothers being on top of everybody’s else.
thee would have to have a considerable amount of time between the murders for that to be viable and even then I’d say thats a pretty difficult thing to determine, post mortem intervals even with blood pattern would never get the kind of accuracy will graham can get.
It would be a long shot and they hadn’t even started collecting samples.
Great work
dude i both wanna thank and "curse" u for getting me into another show that was canceled XD so many of my fav shows get canceled :l
yeah sorry about that, but hey, they do say its the journey not the destination.
@@deusdeaconReviews lol true the show has been a fun watch
Yea I am personally shocked to hear about a decent amount of people giving this episode alot of shit. This episode is nowhere near as bad as some may put it and is very revealing to show how Hannibal is always having some form of plan going at all times
:)
In the time between this and the last review I have watched all the livestreams and glad I found them in the down time was out for a cold pint when this was uploaded and its no better video to watch and enjoy said pint with keep it up one of the most underrated channels here and truly some of the best content on the platform
thank you very much, Glad you like them!
@@deusdeaconReviews and thank you for the content and the reply and hope to see more for years to come
👍👏👏👏👏
Love this series/show.
FINALLY
Hannibal was one of those weird shows that aired in Canada before America because of this episode specifically. We got it a week earlier than they did because of this episode
Glad to see more. Love these
Was this the last episode covered? I can’t find any others.
For now yes, more on the way.
@@deusdeaconReviews awesome thanks. I’ll definitely keep an eye out. Love your content.
Am I the only one that goes to his channel every day just to watch all his videos
Your reviews are always so detailed I miss your videos hope you do more
Apologies university is currently taking up a lot of my time but another video should b e uploaded with the next week or two it just needed to be edited
@@deusdeaconReviews its all fine mate its cool to actually talk to you ive watched your videos for ages haha good luck with uni
