    🚨🚨🚨 PLEASE READ! 🚨🚨🚨
As you probably know, we are NOT travelling at the moment. This video was filmed just after the reopening of Boracay in 2019 and we are now back home in England.
Now is not the time for travel. We all need to be doing our part to stop the spread of this horrible virus. This video is only meant to provide some light entertainment and inspiration for future travel. The Philippines series will continue next week in a pretty amazing city… Make sure you subscribe to find out which one!
    Stay safe,
    Ryan

yeah, the only transportation there is the eJeep and the habal habal motors you can rent for only 10php. there are also very few cars roaming around, maybe you can see vans of hotels. people are also very friendly, but expect that the items you buy are a bit pricey on that island, but nonetheless, youll have an amazing stay in the island

the lumot is an annual occurrence. The Elders will tell you how they played with it as children. Certainly it's not so abundant and that is down to lower amounts of pollutants in the water; pollutants from laundry water etc not just the 5 pipes (confirmed as found) from certain hotels that where pumping untreated water in to the sea. The lumot only occurs during the hottest months, when the conditions are right - and it acts as a nursery for baby fish hiding from larger predatory fish.

What made Boracay different from all island beaches IN THE WORLD, is the convenience. It is a paradise and a city at the same time where familiar outlets, malls, banks, hospitals etc. are in one stop shop, hence overdeveloped and can easily get polluted.

I was in Boracay Island March 2020 and I have been there 4 times before that over the last 5 years. In my opinion Boracay has been improved dramatically and I would highly recommend travelling here once the COVID-19 pandemic improves. I was blown away by how much cleaner the island is, the main roads are maintained better, the whole ferry experience seems a lot more organised and civilized at the ports, and the beach.....wooooow, I never seen White Beach looking so beautiful and white like this in my previously visits.
Now that all the sun beds, table and chairs are moved off the beach front, the beach looks absolutely amazing. Downside is that it was nice sitting on a bean bag by the beach or eating a meal on a table on the beach, but I still prefer it as it is now. Just a clean looking amazing beach....one of the best i've ever seen!!!
Also the scuba diving there is getting better too now that they are protecting it. Lots of little critters and there are a lot of nice dive sites. I definitely recommend a day trip to Carabao Island for diving.

Stations were name after Boat Stations 1, 2 & 3. Station 1 being the most luxurious accommodations and Station 2 were all the happenings were located. 3 is the most affordable accommodations then and there were hardly any hotels on the main road. Trikes were allowed on the beach path and were very noisy and annoying at night. Tiki torch lit the path at night on the beach. I visited "Cesspool Boracay" in 2014 and last year in 2019 after the rehabilitation. I saw huge positive changes with a lot cleaner sand and water plus the resorts overlapping the beachfront was demolished to give respect to the beautiful shoreline. I wanna go back more and more to beloved island.

I first went to Boracay in 2004 and it was pristine and utterly amazing. I was there in 2019 after the shutdown. It was nice, but not as clean as it was in 2004. It’s tragic how tourists destroyed such a beautiful island.

There are hundreds (maybe thousands) of tourists vlogging about the Philippines - some with millions of followers. Your channel is by far the best I've seen! The superior quality of video editing, intelligent (and sometimes humorous) story telling, brilliant narration (your voice sounds intelligent and soothing). This channel deserves 10 million more subscribers!

I've been to Boracay last 2015. Back then, the water was clear but was very itchy. We were swimming next to a big tube that excrete waste from who knows where to the sea. Everytime we got out of the water, we'd have bumps and redness of skin. The roads were bumpy and trashes were everywhere. Seeing all these changes makes me happy. It has improved so much. I hope I can visit it again!

This story is really not only about Boracay but it represents the story of the Philippines as a whole from how governments before Duterte mismanaged and neglected the Philippines and how Duterte is left with the responsibility to fix all the mess. For political reasons Duterte's enemies also created so much noise and were against Duterte's decision to close Boracay by giving reasons such as this was a dictator move, etc. They all fell silent though after Boracay was rehabilitated and people actually saw that it was the responsible and right thing to do afterall. Duterte's enemies could no longer use the Boracay story for their propaganda against him. Duterte is really doing what the country needs right now to rise from the ashes no matter how unpopular the much needed action may be, but Duterte's enemies continue to slander the president and will do anything to bring the man down to protect their political ambitions or self-serving interests. This is a fight between a ruler who does what he needs to do to protect the people and the bring the much needed progress the country needs versus "nobles" who want to protect their own status. Corporate media is also very much at fault because sadly Corporate is a stronger word than media and corporate = profits and truth does not always equate to profits but making up your own truth and selling made up truths can be more lucrative, and sadly demonizing Duterte by labeling him a dictator and a tyrant is news that sells to the international crowd and brings corporate media their audience. More audience = more advertising revenue = profits.
