Thank you so much for this excellent overview of the beautiful Boracay! We just returned from a trip there after watching this, and your advice and tips were spot on!
Thanks so much😊🙏🏽
@@JooseTheNomad link for the hotel so cheap
algae actually is what makes the sand white. they come every summer. and that place is more packed than usual when it’s the holy week
Yeah? Yeah it was much less busy the week before😄
True anyway, Algae is only temporary every summertime in the Phils. but it has a lot of benefits to the environment, Algae could play an important role in the sustainable treatment of wastewater generated from both domestic and industrial sources.
@@cynthiamaegonzales7002 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Algae feeds in bacteria. That's a fact. As for algae makes the sand white, its false.
what a load of non-sense. White sand is the result of crush corals (some fish eat them and excrete them as fine white sands)...All that article is from fake news
Nice snapshot of Boracay. A place on my travel list so this video has helped. Thanks.
Thank you🙏🏽 Great to hear!
The algae is seasonal. It appears during summer and when the wind is blowing from the east. The best time to visit is from September to January when there’s no algae at all. Note, however, that the rainy season is from June until around November.
Is march a good season to visit? Too hot?
@@philippillis9393 yes summer time, expect lots of tourists (foreigners and locals)
@@shanerocelle thanks. I think I can go during Xmas/new years season. It appears to be high season but hey...I don't mind the crowds.
I'm going in July is it really that bad there weather wise
That water looks so inviting. Definitely on my bucket list to visit 😊
Yeah it's so clear😍🏝️
You were in Station 3 older and family oriented much quieter as you can see.
Station 2 is where the big hotels are and is where most of the younger party crowd hangs out.
Station 1 is where the richer people stay.
I love Boracay...can't wait to go back.
Very good video! I will be there in September, Thank you for the tour!

Thanks a lot bro🙏🏽
Finally been waiting for this blog
Thank you🙊🙏🏽
Thank you for the comprehensive guide to Boracay. Well done.
Thank you😊🙏🏽
The seaweed is the reason why the sand is so white and powdery.
Correct. When thise algae dry out...they turn into powdery white sand like substance
That's not seaweed it's sea algae
Its a natural substance ang green algae sa mga white sand beaches.Tingnan nyo sa black sand beaches walang green lumot.Kasi yon ang kanilang habitat.
Actually, the white powdery sand comes from the coral reefs. Certain fish like parrot fish graze and nibble the coral and drop the fine hard bits of calcium carbonate that accumulates on the beaches.
No.

Great video. It helped with our trip. How was flying the drone? Did you bother trying to get a permit? I had birds trying to attack mine in Station 1 so had to fly home quick 😱
When is the best time to visit Boracay? I am planning in September but I read somewhere its raining season.
I remembered booking 2 weeks in Boracay in March 2020 around 6 months in advance before the pandemic started. then when it did, I wasn't sure whether to travel there especially many countries were facing lockdowns including the Philippines. Anyway, I decided to go but I decided to shorten the stay for 6 days before flying back home. I did enough to explore the entire island in 8 days before flying back to the UK, and within a couple of days, most of Philippines were on lockdown so I think I did time it right
Nice, for sure🙏🏽
Cool place, never heard about it , feel I have been on a quick holiday in my sofa 🛋 😄

The seaweed comes out when the sand is hot,
That’s why you only see it on the shore side.
That just natural on the beach side.
Been here since 1996 wherein no buildings yet now its more lively and exciting the same white sand beach 28 years ago.
Ooh! Yes it's nice to have a lively enviroment long term :)
I have traveled to the Philippines about 30 times, visiting more than 100 islands…
Honestly - Boracay was a little bit of a letdown in almost every way.
But if you like a little crowd, traffic, higher prices, not so pristine water, cheap souvenirs, tourists arriving on a conveyor belt with selfie sticks, Boracay could be for you! - I would say late, sun down beach parties were good(!)
So after reading your comments what islands would you suggest in Philippines ?
There's a lot of reasons or factor why, and I don't believe that's normal, the place Boracay really needs rest or in short need to close even two months a year.. because Boracay it's already polluted and crowded...
Thanks a bunch for the video!! 👏🏼👏🏼
I don’t know if it was mentioned what area you stayed at, would you mind sharing please? I’m planning to go there in February!!
Thanks again!
It was south from Station 3, B Pod :) enjoy!

First of all, thanks for the nice informative video. I would also like to go to Boracay in a few months. I am interested in the hotel and room in which was with the balcony and the nice view. I would like the information on this. So I would also like to stay there with my Filipino girlfriend in such a beautiful location. Regards Frank
Are 2 days enough for boracay, and can i fly direct from manila to boracay ?
You fly to the next island and take a boat! 2 days is not much anywhere but you can see most of it in that time I guess

I will be in Manila in April for some business and am looking for one place to go to relax for a few days; relative ease of getting there is a plus. Would you go to Boracay or El Nido or some other place?
You mentioned that you were in Boracay in April which I thought was the dry season but yet there was algae. When in April were you there? Station 3 seemed like the place to stay if quiet is a concern or is it Station 1? Thanks and look forward to watching other videos in your catalogue.

@@JooseTheNomad How far is Station 3 to station 1? I thought white beach in station 1 is the best part of Boracay? I lived in LA for awhile I just used to walk from Venice Beach to Santa Monica and back but nothing compares to the beaches in the Philippines 🇵🇭

Thank you for video, very informative! Can you please tell - are there any Covid restrictions or rules in Manila and Boracay?
Thanks! I didn't see any :)
Too many tourists, and food expensive, but worth it!
Hahaha yees!
I recently returned from trips to both Bali, Indonesia, and Boracay, Philippines, and the differences were stark. Here’s a breakdown of my experiences:
**Bali:**
- The airport is modern, efficient, and welcoming.
- There are countless activities: surfing, snorkeling, island-hopping, and an abundance of delicious food options.
- The beach clubs are stunning, offering breathtaking views and a vibrant party scene.
- The resorts and facilities are world-class in design, catering to an international crowd.
- Public policies are tourist-friendly, allowing smoking in many areas and drinking on the beach, which lets you relax and enjoy without unnecessary restrictions.
- The environment is clean, and there's a wealth of cultural and traditional experiences like visiting the Monkey Forest in Ubud, day trips to Nusa Penida, and exploring Balinese temples.
- Bali hosts sophisticated events, attracting international DJs and world-renowned performances like Ibiza's Elrow, adding to its vibrant nightlife.
**Boracay:**
- The airport experience is abysmal. The facilities are outdated and overcrowded, clearly unable to handle the number of tourists.
- The government missed a significant opportunity to generate revenue by not investing in a world-class airport.
- Restrictive policies, like the smoking ban, feel excessive and hinder the freedom to relax.
- While the beach is beautiful, it’s the only highlight. There’s a lack of cultural and traditional attractions.
- The crowd is predominantly local, and despite higher prices, the resorts and clubs don't match the architectural elegance or design found in Bali.
- The clubs play outdated music, and the overall vibe is very "jologs," lacking the sophistication and modernity you’d expect in a top-tier tourist destination.
**Overall:**
- The beach in Boracay is superior, but that’s its only strong point.
- In Bali, the entire experience, from the vibrant activities and diverse food options to the welcoming policies, sophisticated events, and cultural richness, significantly outshines Boracay.
- Bali offers a well-rounded, exciting, and culturally enriching experience, making it a far more attractive destination overall.
I hope that the Philippines can learn from its neighbors and invest in improving its infrastructure and tourist policies. By addressing these issues, Boracay and other destinations in the Philippines can reach their full potential and provide a world-class experience for all visitors.
I'm filo but big AGREE to this! 🔥
I was in Boracay in 98, 99, 2008 and 2012. in 2012 the water was as well „so clear“, but it stank like shit, like human shit coming from all the hotels. Is that problem now solved by 2024?
Me and other friends had ear infections after swimming at the beach so I really wonder how clean the water is.
I didn't encounter such problem😄
Yea this has been fixed during pandemic.
Ill be in Boracay January. Im from Canada and i rarely travel. Will it be easy to find a reasonably priced airbnb or hotel?
Yes it should be quite easy :)
