Can we take a moment to applaud those who testified in court against a police officer. It’s hard enough to testify in a “normal” situation let alone in a case as serious as this one. The strength it takes is admirable
I really feel as though the opposite is true in this particular case. Imagine having the nugget of evidence we all somehow missed and you had to be the face everyone recognized as the one that allowed him to walk
My thought is a life was lost and the ex cop killed him every life matters the only time forse or shooting is neccessary is when a person is armed but he was pinned on ground handcuffed that was unnecessary force
@Derrick AlphaMag What autopsy are you referring to? Because the Hennepin autopsy reads as follows: "Cause of death: Cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression Manner of death: Homicide"
What does it matter if he was high, he'd have died from that choke no matter what. Also, the 'lethal amount' you're referring to wouldn't really be applicable to a guy that size who is a regular user. I have no dought you'd be dead if you tried to hang with me at the pub. Actually, the defense still got him. He said he needed all available people in that situation... but had his partner take over for the officer. Contradictory statement at its finest. The paramedic entered with his mind made up. If he needed everyone, he would've not sent the officer out. Police officers are trained in First Responder and CPR. After all, he said "any layperson can perform chest compressions".
Nobody said anything to give a rational person any reason to convict Chauvin. That Zimmerman officer came across as corrupt and sleazy and the defense attorney exposed him during questioning.
"I'll decide when your answer is finished" Ok..is that like a psychic decision? Or do you decide after the fact? How long is the delay before you consider it the end of the answer?
She had an attitude. And she tried to add further information to her answer but that's not how a courtroom works. Don't try to apply your ignorance to situations that have rules for a reason.
Jake - Wouldn't be surprised if it's because he dislikes women. Donald Williams was allowed to add extra information... and just to clarify that is not a complaint, I thought that Williams was incredible in this case, as well as the firefighter. It seemed like the judge just wanted to exercise his authority a bit.
During her entire testimony she her body language and tone of voice was rude and hostile. Also, the judge had to admonish her on at least three occasions during her testimony to "wait for the question" and to "only answer the questions asked". She continued to disregard his instructions and was being intentionally uncooperative. She continued to add unsolicited opinions and editorialize, which she was not allowed to do because her answers could unduly prejudice the jury and cause a mistrial. The judge finally got fed up with her. She tried to make excuses and argue with him. It was clear that the message was not sinking in with her. She just wasn't getting what she was doing wrong. So instead of engaging in a pointless lecture/argument about what constitutes answering the question and what constitutes editorializing, the judge was basically saying "ok you know what, clearly you are not smart or sophisticated enough to know when to stop talking on your own, so I will determine it for you."
It doesn’t sit well with anyone who is either biased towards the prosecution, has entitlement issues, no respect for authority or the law, or is simply self centered and thinks way too highly of themselves. I saw a plethora of comments from others who were triggered by the judges comments because they were interpreting it as either the judge trying to control the outcome of the trial unfairly (conspiracy anyone?) or violating the witnesses right to free speech. Both interpretations come from a lack of understanding and basic common sense of how a courtroom proceeding is handled. The bottom line is the judge recognized that witnesses poor attitude, smart mouth, and lack of respect for the people she was engaged with including the judge himself. What he said was a way of putting her back in her place and reminding her how things are supposed to be done and who is the ultimate authority in that room. And it isn’t her. She was a horrible witness for the prosecution and an overall embarrassment.

The bottom line is the judge recognized that witnesses poor attitude, smart mouth, and lack of respect for the people she was engaged with including the judge himself. @@tlbagnall that can’t be true when the very next person they questioned, he asked his perception on what was going on while it was happening and he felt guilt or the very next person after that the prosecutor asked him how he feels because he was so upset on the stand he could barely speak, it doesn’t make that it’s admissible in court according to how the judge will SPECIFICALLY make the sentence but the judge needs to consider everything, or else, half of the witnesses on the stand wouldn’t be considered witnesses because so far, almost all the witnesses have been asked at least once, what they perceived or how they were feeling while this was going on

He can. As a witness, you're only supposed to answer the question that is asked and she was arguing with the lawyer, butting in and adding extra information that wasn't what was asked. She did need to be told, despite her obvious sadness
Oh relax, he warned her at least 3 times to not argue before he scolded her, that’s on her. You should be happy that he’s preventing a mistrial
The judge is really fair in this case. He actually has to control what is said by the witnesses by law and he has to convey and maintain the appearance of authority in his courtroom. I like him and her testimony was still effect.
Seriously....the feelings over facts crowd...Look, it's a horrible needless death caused in large part by a inhumane cop..But the judge was right in admonishing that witness .

It really bothers me that even the judges and the courts are crooked.

I went to court to press charges on ex abuser the judge there behaved Exactly Like this one. Guess what the ex abuser walked free and I was never given a restraining order. Judge told me I was a liar, if I was a liar why is ex abuser STILL stalking and trying to get a hold of me 4 years later. They don’t care for people struggling they are sadistic. This judge behaved like the judge I had they almost seemed like they are buddies with the convict , he was favoring the ex abuser I remmeber thinking in my head “wow are they friends or something?” I can only guess the judge was paid or he is a racist fascist in support of the criminal. He’s actually doing a fine job. Many would not have taken this case but Chauvin deserves a fair trial. Everyone does if they go to trial. Sadly George Floyd didn’t get a trial because he ate his drugs and fought with cops instead of just going to court.
@@brentnelson1590 Unfortunately he didn't get a chance to be properly arrested. You see this White guy name Derek Chauvin put his knee on the back of Mr. Floyd's neck and successfully sufficated him. If only he let George Floyd kick out his car's windows and let the judge deal with him, this trial would've been for Mr. Floyd and not Chauvin.

Had to stop watching after the first response to the first question. If you felt threatened by the officers then you have a personal problem. Anger is what motivated the dragging him to ground, restraining him with 2 full grown bodies and knee on neck, while handcuffed, while on stomach, smashed into the hard ground. No threat to officers. Just an hysterical old dude, fearful and voicing he couldn't breathe and becoming unconscious and then dead ..at the hands of 3 murderers . incompetent and cruel police..abusing their power.
The part where Nelson tried to trick him into saying it was the police training to put their knee on the shoulder and lower part of the neck. Then to suggest that since he didn't patrol the streets that his training is obslet

He was obviously there just to look pro at controlling the situation & act superior. Blinded by his own ego. Good thing the crowd recorded this.

Facts are his knee was on his neck for several minutes
Facts: the video footage. The man was killed by the police.
I imagine that the cop's that where there 3 or 4 of them that where just standing there and watching a murder happening are now the ones that are having nightmare. WHY DIDN'T THEY DO ANYTHING? Like say hey that's enough we have him handcuff and on his stomach laying on the ground???
Its all in the rank, killer with badge Chauvin has seniority over the others.. but thats my opinion he says shoot they ask where or like jump and ask how high...
I agree they were negligent in preventing an overdosing civilian from getting help. But it wasn't a murder sorry. The evidence suggests otherwise so you're wrong. They should absolutely be charged for manslaughter though
They didn’t do anything because it completely caught them off guard. It just never happens where your fighting a monster for 6 out of the 10 minutes and in the last 4 minutes he dies. One of them even said, “I think he’s passing out now” within that 4 minutes. They just didn’t expect it. No one honest with themselves would.

Yes, I'd really like to see highlights from the case from an objective source. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty convinced Chauvin is guilty, but there are always 2 sides to a story, I don't want the media ruling on this case.
Four teenagers, a 9-year-old girl, a 61-year-old man, and an off-duty firefighter were among a group of bystanders who witnessed, with growing horror and distress, George Floyd take his last breaths under the weight of Derek Chauvin’s knee on May 25, 2020.
You mean, his last breath due to fentinol overdose?
YEAH THEY COULD NOT SEE THE DRUGS INSIDE HIS BODY FROM THIER EYES THEY COULD ONLY SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE OUTSIDE. HE WAS ALSO COVID POSITIVE? DRUGS + COVID = MAY ALSO LEAD TO LOSS OF OXYGEN + POLICE BRUTALITY.
