From silver to plat, that trap/mine at the spawn door works at least 50% of the time.
It's actually shocking how often Sym turret and Junk traps work at the spawn doors works. I've even verbally and text warned my teammates before the doors open only to watch them walk directly into the trap 😂

It's a rather complicated equation involving size, sweetness, acidity and season so you'd need to take a few classes to even begin to comprehend it.
Venus Fly Traps are top tier in awareness, as they have a (if only automatic) reaction to flies landing on them.
Cactus are probably pretty high awareness

No, I'd argue lots of folks in lower ranks don't use them despite the massive advantage. The amount of games I'm in where folks literally do not seem to realize footsteps are both distinct and very loud, giving players the ability to determine who's coming at them and from where, is astounding. Literally watched my team's Roadhog in a POTG the other night just come stomping around the back end of a point, seemingly no reaction to the Brig who just got wrecked for going in 1v5, and the Orisa who just killed the Brig spins her spear and just shoves him off the back of the point.
I do own headphones, its just difficult for me to recognize the audio cues over the amount of visual information presented, sorry for being a little retarted
@@Narwarlockit also depends on how sensitive your ears tbf. If you get visually overloaded it’s kinda normal you don’t hear everything. It’s because you aren’t focused on the sound but visuals. It’s perfectly fine not to hear everything, it just takes some time and conditioning.
Im pretty sure they have headphones but just turn up their music so they cant hear anything in game

My biggest suggestion for Crunch is to not look away from a team fight if you're trying to fall back. Learn to walk backwards while firing shots. There's also the option of mining yourself backwards and dropping a trap right as you launch yourself. It's crazy how many people will focus so much on shooting you out of the sky, that they step on the trap you dropped as you mine away.

Flats you just unintentionally saved my life... I have awful dust allergies and had to trade in my fabric mousepad because i was getting terrible reactions, but the plastic replacement I've been using makes my mouse stick something awful and noticeably causes me issues while playing. Had no idea ceramic mousepads existed 'til this video but immediately bought one lol. Never let it be said Flats videos aren't educational.

This is why tracer and Genji are considered "stomp" heros. You either have an insane genji/tracer on your team or you're left wondering how they can even hold a mouse in their hands afterwards. people who are semi-competent at mechanically skilled heros are not this low in rank- mechanical skill is a transferrable skill.

As junk, making that sig shield disappear as soon as it appears so your sol has free shots is pretty nice. You can break it fast and then go for a flank right after or just rotate.

I think he just got burned out on it. Spectating Bronze was by far his most watched content for a long time and I remember him talking about it getting to the point where it was all anyone wanted him to do and he was getting constantly harassed by people begging him to spectate their replays. The videos are so much fun but I get him wanting to do other stuff with his streams.
Flats was really trying to help on this one. He just gave up and got so frustrated with the player by second half 😅

I feel like in the metal ranks sometimes your teammates are this guy and sometimes YOU are this guy. And part of climbing is getting better at realizing when it's you.
the way to consistently rank up is for your real skill to be ~2 divisions above your current rank, so you may be plat even close to diamond but that ain't enough to carry games in gold.
if you're legit hardstuck im sorry to say but you're just not good enough, and no having good mechanic skill isn't enough either. Remember that you're also likely playing against players that have played for many years

Trust me Flats, I hate it here more than you do. Yes, I'm a shitty silver/bronze player for all 3 roles and sadly with the season 9 reworks, my games are fucking HARD to compete with. I feel like everyone else suddenly got better and I got worse. Yes I haven't really played since halfway through the last season, but even then I could manage most of my games, now its a fight just to even be able to do something. I really enjoy this game and watching you has made me excited to play more but I sadly can't keep up with a lot of enemy team players. Like I was doing my tank placements the past two days and lost my first 6 because I could not keep up with the enemy tank/team at all. And yes, I do suck but before it seemed way more manageable than it is now, and I feel a lot more losses in my future. Now for the record, I never blame my teammates at all, I never shit on them or tell them they suck etc, unfortunately I am usually the brunt of that attention, always being called out etc, usually the only one who does too. Which is fine, I don't ever admit I'm a good player because I'm not. I just feel for this season lower players are now having to try twice as hard just to even climb, or somehow I'm getting better players against me when I shouldn't, or I just actually suck more than I think I do. Anyway, sorry for the rant, love the content, keep up the good work, and I'll do my best to keep enjoying the game~
Hey, the reason your are struggling this season is because you are playing with better players. After the season 9 update blizzard reset everyones ranked rating and push everyone closer to gold, which means lower ranked players like yourself got pushed up too. I was gm 3 in all three roles last season, but after doing my placement this season I got placed diamond 1. So don't beat yourself up in a few months the better players will get placed into their correct rank which would make your game easier to climb

This feels like my games, but with less random Junkrat balls. For some reason the opposing Junkrat, manages to hit 2 angles that billard pros didn't know exist. The entire ball clip spammed into nowhere, but the last 2 somehow take 2 different angles right into my face.
I just finished my game playing Tracer, I felt like I was bad, thank God flats upload this. Now I don't feel so bad anymore

A lot of lower ranks don't use audio or they have something going in the background that drowns out game audio. It's what I do when I'm not trying. In like arcade or quick play I'll just blast music and not really pay attention to game audio

Expect it even more this season
As a Junk main, I think it's still relatively uncommon. Hitting people in the air with the follow up grenade shot is super satisfying and also can't be dodged by the opposition, so aim should be the focus. That being said, I think most people's aim is pretty mid, just look at what the devs did with the most recent update.
At first I assume a spectating cheater video, and I didn't think he'd do this again.
Especially after knowing that a viewer once requested him to roast their gameplay so they could get off to him. Poor flats got shivers when he told that story 😂

He is fine, just using more of the cooldowns and trying to pick a task before entering the fight is better, like im going to try and kill their backline with all i got, or the soldier is annoying my team so im going to get him down, or just stay back and farm ult on their tank so i can get ult and a kill to stagger the payload, stuff like that
