  • I got tired of searching through the packages trying to find the one die I wanted. So I decided to get the magnetic sheets to help organize my dies! I mainly have Tim Holtz dies, so you can decide what you need based on the dies you own.

It is less expensive to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and buy Frost King magnetic vent covers. They are large but easy to cut down for any size die.

Possibly - I never considered going to a hardware store. I didn't even know the product you are speaking of.

I do the same thing! I just bought 3 large magnetic vent covers in a set at Home Depot for around 5$ and I cut each of the 3 into 5 pieces each. I think I learned it when I heard Jennifer McGuire mention it awhile ago.

The white side is for placing the matching stamps if you wish.

Yes - but most of mine are rubber and they don't fit well. But would work great for clear stamps.

Love seeing how you stoe your dies! I've finally been able to let go of most of my punches and switch over to thin rule dies, with a few of the heavy rule ones for favourite shapes to cut fromclayers of watercolour and cardstock papers I've adhered together. I love my 4x6 magnetic sheets to sort dies on in the Sizzix envelopes. For my Thinlit alphas, I put all of my vowels and special characters on one sheet, and the remainder of the alpha on their own sheets in order.
I still need to refine my die storage, and will likely follow your example here and put them in their own single-row bin for ease of access! Stay home, stay safe, and looking forward to your next vid. :)

I have several sets of the Tim Holtz dies, and these would be a great solution to the mess in each of the plastic sleeves. For my bigger dies, I like the Tonic Studios large die case refills. They are A4 size, so won't fit in a standard size US binder (although you could punch new holes in the sleeves), but they are double sided and really strong magnets. The sleeves are very heavy duty, so I just have them together on their side on a shelf.

Sounds good. When I was trying to pick what to use there wasn't much info out there, so I randomly picked these.

I bought small cases off amazon and I’m so in love with that set up. If I had to put in the envelope it would be to bothersome for me lol. But the magnets I’m also loving, my tip, I get the free- magnetic cards , calendars I received from company’s and use them. But I will be purchasing some for my boxes as my collection grows.

I like the envelopes for two reasons: 1 - if the die falls off, I don't lose it. 2 - Sometimes I cut extra items and I can put them into the envelopes for the next time.

What are the dimensions of the magnetic sheets? Didn't know Sizzix or Tim Holtz carried magnetic sheets... The whiteboard side would be useful for writing the name of the coordinating stamp set for the dies. I rcvd a die set that contained the words Mum on one sheet and Mom on another sheet which I'm so glad it came preprinted on the whiteboard with the two names. Thx for sharing!! :-)

The Tim Holtz ones are approx. 5x6" and fit into the pouches his dies come in. The Sizzix ones I got are 4 1/2"x6 1/2" and you can get co-ordinating pouches. They do come in another size. You can also put your co-ordinating clear stamps onto the white part and store them together.
