Hello from Wyoming. Your video will be very helpful. I'm just starting to put my stamps and dies in sleeves. I purchased vent covers and hope they stick. If not, I now have a source to get them. Thanks.
Hi Mary! Thanks for watching and I'm glad this was helpful! I personally have not used the vent covers. They are thin and I wanted something thicker. The magnet sheets I picked were also a really economical option. I tested these out for 6 months before I released this video and they have held up great!!
I’ve never liked the sheet that comes with SU dies. Before I started buying SU products I was already buying magnetic sheets & plastic envelopes for my dies so I have still transferred SU’s to the same ones but SU’s plastic envelopes weren’t being used. I definitely like this better for SU dies. Thx a bunch!!
We have an old "junk drawer" scissors that we use for cutting things that don't have to be super-precise (or cutting up boxes for recycling, etc.). I use that to cut magnet sheets to fit various size pockets I have in a ring binder for my multi-part dies. No wear and tear on my trimmer blade. I'm working on organizing and labeling everything in sight with my label maker. Adding the number of dies is a great idea.
Good idea to keep your dies in a ring binder!!! Hahhaa! I label everything, too! I think it might make my family a bit crazy! I just don't like clutter! Haha
Thank you for these great tips! I'm trying to "organize" my things. Have been stamping for about 4 years but it is amazing how much I have accumulated in my stash. Dies falling off the white sheets all the time drives me nuts! This was great! Thank you so much!
I do this also but have been using vent cover magnets. They are not very thick but work well when adhered to the cardboard backing. However, they’re too small for the larger die sets so I am going to take a look at the ones you’ve linked. Thanks!
Hi Patty! Yes, I looked into the vent covers also. I wanted something thicker and something that could accommodate square die sets. These work great! I have been using them for 6 months now and they are holding up great!
This is great! I actually do the same. Except for the great tip to flip them over in the sleeve! Will have to incorporate that. I also placed a label on the side place a label with the coordinating stamp set. ❤ Liked 👍 and shared
I've use magnets sheets at full size. I put them into 3 ring binders and put my dies on them. They get kinda heavy. Lol. But I don't have the plastic envelopes that dies come it. But it works for me. They're all on one place. The straps you have left over from cutting to size, could maybe make some book markers with pieces of them ? Hate to waste magnet sheets.lol Thanks for Sharing. .
The folders are just the ones that the dies come in from Stampin' Up!. For all of the measurements, click here. sunnydaystamping.com/how-to-cut-magnet-sheets-for-die-sets-and-more-tips Let me know if this didn't answer your question.
I have started putting my dies on magnetic sheets too! I purchased them at Home Depot/Lowe's. They are available as "vent covers" there. I love that it is black so the dies "pop" on them so they are so easy to see. Thanks Juli!
That’s a great idea to put the number of dies on the labels. I received magnetic sheets for Christmas and I do believe I put them all to work within 24 hours! I’m with you-those sloppy piles of dies are soooo annoying. 😖 Thanks for sharing this organizing tip, Juli!
You can actually patch scraps on cut-to-size card to create another magnetic sheet ❤
OOOOoooo! Brilliant!

Oh yay, Deanette! Perfect timing! I've been using these magnet sheets for 6 months and they are holding up great!
I’ve been doing this as well. The magnetic sheets are a game changer. Great tips, Sunny!!❤
Yes, it makes it so much more enjoyable to craft! Thanks for watching!
Yey! I just did this with my new dies!! And I just got a retired Stampin Up set (teacups) on eBay!!
Oh yay, Kim!!! I hope you love it!
Thank you for sharing. These are all great ideas. I keep my dies in baseball card pockets.💕
Oh that's a good idea, Jennifer!

Oh good idea to put the coordinating stamp set on the label! Thanks!! Oh and thank you so much for sharing! I appreciate that so much!
How do you store your die cuts in your craft room? I'm in a craft room re-do and looking for ideas! Thx!!
Oh how wonderful, Alicia! I have a my die sets stored in a bin. They are standing up on their short ends so I can easily flip through them.
Watching replay from Arizona
Thanks so much for watching, Vickie!
You do the very same thing I’ve been doing for years!
That's so awesome, Mary!
Hi Julie! FYI...Stampin Up lists the number of dies and stamps on each package in the lower left-hand corner. That's a tip on top of your tip! 😛🤭
Oh good tip! It's probably too tiny for me to see! Hahaha
@@SunnyDayStamping it is pretty small on the dies, but on the stamps its always in a shaded box that is a decent size to see.

Thanks for watching, Annemarie! I looked at the vent covers, but they were so thin. Do you dies stick to them well?
I do the same thing with vent covers. Much cheaper and they work great!
Those are all great ideas! Thank you!
Thanks for watching, Lisa!

WOW. Thank you!
I'm so glad this is helpful, Julie!
