I’m thinking about putting 33 in tires on my truck and this video helped me make up my mind! I will be getting the stock tires off and new 33 in put on!
Well….I watch a lot of videos and don’t leave comments, but I feel compelled to say thanks so much!!! This was the video I’ve been looking for, thanks for all the information. I did not find a single thing you shared to be useless and was appreciative of all info shared. I have a 2014 black Silverado and your preferences are very similar to mine. I think I’m sold on those tires and your offset from the fender flare is EXACTLY what I want. I’m considering larger rims at 20” or 22” for my specific “look”, but being a bit more practical this video makes me appreciate how much 18” rims/wheels look pretty darned good. Thanks again……..headed over to your motorcycle stuff. I’ve got two bikes living rent free in my garage ;)
I have this same year 4x4 and am putting on Toyo 33x12.5x18 This tells me exactly what I need to know about the 2.5” level kit I bought , the after mpg and the clearances Thank you very much for posting this
You may have figured it out by now, but clearing standing still doesn’t mean it will when moving. Mine cleared just static turning but would rub at extreme turns with slight articulation. Like backing out of slanted driveway. Until I lifted it 3”. But it’s funny. My wheels are exactly this size and I wanted go see what a 33x12.5 would look like and fit. Yours is exactly what I was looking for.
I was skeptical going for 17” size wheels on 33’s. I also have a 2” leveling kit, But knowing that the 18”s fit perfectly then I should be good. Thanks for the video 👍🏽
Yeah exact situation for me I just don’t want to stuck out of nowhere with tires that are way too big but I’m 100% sending it after this. Howd it go for you?
@@mbt2x266 no rubbing. I do have a 2" levelling kit so I don't know if that helps prevent rubbing. The tire to rim ratio looks off with 20" rims and 31.5" tires. Next time I'm going 18" rims and 33s.
I went from the stock 265/65r18 wrangler duratrac tires on my 2018 z71 silverado to 275/70r18 toyo at3 tires & they fit as good as yours in this video since the z71 packages come with a stock 2 in factory lift
I have a 2018 Z71 and have never seen or heard of a factory 2-inch lift. Maybe dealer installed. And I have 275/70 18's on the stock wheels with a 2 1/2 Eibach front strut. A 275 is a lot easier to fit than a 12.5.
@tristanwwsd if you have a z71 package it comes with a 2in factory suspension lift. You can Google it if you want. You should have rancho shocks & recovery hooks for example too if you have a z71 package
@@finalfantasy1201 You need to Google it. I took off the Rancho shocks and put on Eibach front struts set at 2 1/2 inches to level the truck. If what you said is correct, I would then have 4 1/2 inches over the factory geometry.
What size rims do you have on that truck and also can you show more pictures of the outside. I have a 2021 Chevy Silverado custom I’m looking to do a 3 1/2 inch lift with same size stock rims but just a different style and then adding one size up all-terrain 33‘s. I just need to know what size rims you have on that truck I like it it looks really good 👍please share more pictures and rim size
Wow great video, I have a 2 inch lift on my truck so what are yalls thoughts about 33x12.50 with 22s a little bigger rim then my liking but gonna get a great deal. Thanks they will be on a 2022 sierra 1500 new body.
I have the same truck and my grill is chrome as well. I was considering painting it but they told me it would chip really easily. Would you recommend painting or not??
Used a local bumper repair guy. I don’t recommend it since the bumper is now very chipped and done on the grill. My plan is to have at least the front bumper powder coated. Rear bumper looks fine. The painter was pretty crappy so I won’t recommend them.
I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado custom . I have 20 inch rims on 33s tires.. what size kit should I get for the front and what size lift for the back ? I was thinking 2.5 or 2 front and 1 inch back . Can someone help also should I get wheel spacers too? And how big 2 inch ?
Don't know if you did anything yet. Go 2 1/2 max in the front. That is level. 2" may be what you want. Don't do anything to the rear until you get the front done and your wheel/tires on and happy. Then if you want more in the rear later, you can.

The circumference of the new tire is considerably larger, therefore it will affect your odometer and gas mileage indicated.
The Diablo tuner adjusts for that

2” level kit on a 2004 z71 Silverado 4x4.
Also Put a ceramic coating on them if you want the finish to last.

very hard to say since im not familiar with 2020 clearances. UA-cam might have the answer somewhere
Are 33s not going to fit the 2022 silverado without the leveling kit?
