Thanks for making this video! Looks perfect on a 2014 Silverado with 2" level. Saves tons of time digging through forums. Mildly aggressive without overdoing it. I used the Falkens as well since they're snow rated but opted for load E. Again -- BIG thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Epic I love it I did different fuel wheels with same falcon tires on my 2015 sierra and couldn't be happier thank you for going down the rabbit hole for me tires are so sweet
You won't have to do a full norcal chop until you try to go bigger than a 33" tire. If you level the front you should be able to clear even with mudflaps. I ran the falcon level kit which is similar to the bilstein 5100s. I had 275/70r18 at3ws on stock 18" wheels and put mine through plenty of articulation. When I went to 295/70/18s is when I really had to start cutting and modifying. Truck looks good keep up the good work 👍
@@MrXcbravo yeppers after I moved up in size we swapped the 275/70/18 to a family members 2018 Z71 along with my weathertech mudflaps and a rc lower spacer and it worked perfect. No rub and much beefier look.
@@chriszackery2402 that's Silverado fender wells, for some strange reason they want them square as possible. You have to sky lift it or chop half of the well out to fit good size tires.
Tough part of doing this method is, it doesn't take into account suspension cycling and off axis turns. It might not rub much on a garage floor, but it might rub in real world scenarios. Either way, this is cool to see. I had those tires, e rated, on 17x9 at -12 on my Duramax and it looked awesome. May now do the same on the half ton after seeing this Also, why are the tires mounted opposite side facing out? Haha.
looks great. stock suspension is fine if it will never leave the road. if u do any offroading at all, even a trail that is just bumpy and u are cutting and turning it will rub a ton. but if u are really staying on roads its fine. i ended up doing 2 inch level struts and its great. added a bigger block in the rear so the front still sits 1 inch lower than the back. but congrats nice job!

I just got the Toyo open country a/t iii 285/55 r20 on stock height. I dont plan on getting it leveled. I use it only on roads and highway. It only rubs with the inner carpet thingy when full lock. I will just tie it down a little with a ziptie. Nice looking tire. I have a 2017 sierra slt. Sams has the same tire but 275. I decided to go with the 285 as it looks more full and thats all im doing to my truck. no extra "mods" hope this helps anyone.
I'd imagine the -12mm offset is better with just a bit of trimming/scrubbing. I went with DS652V 20x10, with Federal 33x12.5 tires, -25mm offset. I managed to get minimal rub on the footwell side of the tire with a level kit and lots of trimming/scrubbing, but just didnt like the rub. Ended up putting a lift on. I'm planning on buying a 2nd 2014-2018 truck, and not sure if I'll drop to the slightly smaller tire size or lift again. I wish the wheel arches had just a bit more spacing right where the tires love to rub.
Looks good but that will still rub with body roll and turns above slow speeds… been through it with my 08 Silverado that i had 35s on… truck drove and road much better with 33s with a body lift and strut spacers… put the adjustable bilstein shocks on this truck like i did on my 2015 and it may give you the clearance you need
Thanks! So I only get rub at full wheel lock at the back of the wheel wells, I think I can fully eliminate by pulling the lining back. Rub is only noticeable in reverse those because it catches the bottom of the liner.
Would agree that should work. I put Fox 2.0s with adjustable struts on my 2015 1500. Probably brought the front 2.5-3” up and and the rear up as went up well and put a set of LT275/70R18s on and have had zero rubbing. Could probably go one step up if I wanted
I’ve got the same setup and I get rub at full lock and when I turn and hit a dip. I bought the truck with the setup. Going to slightly downsize. They came with pesky 20s so I gotta get new wheels.
Nice video, gives a good idea what to look for with fitting the larger tires without a lift. I'm trying to get an idea if this size would work for a 2001 Yukon Denali, but can't find any examples. I wonder if the GM design uses the same general fender clearances across the lineup - how similar my experiment might end up.
