Excellent stuff…I love hearing about your old guitars…rock on my brother!!!
Great video
I subscribed, as you are of the few with true knowledge
Rock on
Thank you! I wouldn’t dare claim to be an expert or anything. I just really love learning about these killer 80s axes, and sharing what I know
Awesome guitar, very cool channel. Can't believe I didn't know about your channel before today. Just look forward to binge watching all your content. Rock on man.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Tommy great video brother I love the fact that you actually played the guitar but now you got me wanting
badass!!!
I think hot pickups with A2’s sound great 👍
Yup! There is just something about that combination that does it for me :)
Made in 87 bought in 88
That’s definitely a strong possibility
Man that glitter rock white is spectacular. I would die for a Stealth with a single humbucker and a floyd rose and black hardware. Especially reverse headstock and painted to match the body, no inlays, ebony board. I'll never be able to afford that but man it would be heaven 😂
The axe you're describing sounds seriously bad ass! I hope you are able to make that happen someday 🙂
@@tommyvonvoigt5240 I could handle building the axe itself if I ever get a place to do some woodworking again. The main thing would be finding someone to paint it and how much that would cost, I've never had that done before, I've always gone with pre painted bodies or rattle can paint jobs 😂 I had to learn to put together my own axes because I can't afford or find the stuff I really want haha
Why a single pickup?
@@clintwilson6380 i just don't have any need for neck pickups I don't like how they sound and I like a very simple guitar. Just one volume knob and one pickup straight to the amp.
@@CryptToneMusic thanx, appreciate it the info.
Remember a friend buying one used all flame maple stringers cloud inlays cream dual sound/paf chrome kahler flight case that weighs a ton
I digress
That was probably 86/87
Truly a special guitar remember it well! Nice job. 👍
Norm's guitars used to make them too.
more bc rich videos like this soon eh? i want more haha
Spoiler - the next video is going to be a Gibson. I’ve already shot it. Just need to edit it. But I will eventually have a Mockingbird video coming, and that one is going to be one seriously interesting story!
@@tommyvonvoigt5240 cool! Not a big Gibson guy myself but will still watch anyways of course
I am a massive Danzig fan, I will take that back in black and left handed please. I have talked to Neal and it would cost me 5k. I wish I just could swing the cost.
These do look seriously awesome in black! If this one hadn’t been so beat, I would have never changed the color. And if it weren’t for the other two Glitter Rock White BCRs I have, I would have redone this one in black. It was that close
😂😂try more like $10,000.00!!! Better save those beer cans!!😂😂 good luck!!
Prefer the cloud inlays.
😍Awesome guitar, very cool channel. Can't believe I didn't know about your channel before today. I look forward to binge watching all your content. Rock on man.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks! Gotta get more content up this coming year. I’m just getting started. Lots more guitars to come, and also some rad vintage Marshalls, too
@@tommyvonvoigt5240 AWESOME!!
A white Warlock would get diamond inlays.
I have played warlocks for years, and I loop the strap over the top back horn and it helps a lot, but I relocate the buttons too, I have an ibanez xiphos 7 and i had flushmount straplocks put on and it got rid of all the issues I had. The 24 5/8 length bugs the shit out of me, give me 25.5.
This one may actually be 24 5/8s as well. I was certain it was 24.75, but Vinny (the guy that did the crown work) swears he put his gauges on it, and came up with 24 5/8s. I may be measuring wrong
I remember the day I realized that it was an eighth shorter, I kept reading the specs of one of the guitars and it said 5/8 and thought, "why does it say that, is 6/8 not divisible by 2? Oh no...its an eighth shorter." I have guitars that run the gamut from that to 25 to 25.5 and longer, I am a big guy, and have bigger hands so the longer feel is nice and holds string tension better, BUT, the thing I noticed, is when tuned low, I play in B, the short scale length translates to a lot of bass since the string is looser. They actually call Biches Rich B's now, would love to get one of the legacy ones they put out, just wish it had a Quad on it, either in white or black. @@tommyvonvoigt5240
Luv it I have still yet to own one. Question, is that an Ibanez edge trem?
Sure is! Crazy, right? Apparently, for a hot minute back in 1987, that’s what you got when you selected the Floyd Rose option when placing your order
Damn are you in ny, that ambulance fk
Haha, I know, it’s so hard to get any length of time without some crazy background noise. Living here, we tune this stuff out all day long
Had a Red one
I'd bet money that Bernie laid hands on
Block 6 Studios , Maspeth Queens
2005 (April's Fools , yep) till 2015
Sold mine from there in the 2000s
A guy came from Virginia I think
Is that on record
I forget serial and details
I have slept since then
You look familiar
If you’re from NYC, there’s a chance we may have seen each other at a show at some point
@@tommyvonvoigt5240 Roxy rehearsal ?
Block 6 rehearsal ?
Never been to those. I’m at Astoria Soundworks constantly, though
Awesome guitar TVV. 😮 the headstock is badass.
What's your best Rig to plug that into?
If I had to pick one, I’d say my 1979 Marshall 2203. I LOVE that amp. It’s just too much fun 😊
@@tommyvonvoigt5240 did iMarshall still use tubes in '79 models cool😙
@@marcofalzone6469oh most definitely
@@tommyvonvoigt5240 which gtr player influenced you the most in your playing style
@@marcofalzone6469 you can't tell from the clip in the video, since it's mainly just mindless nonsense, but I'd say Tom Scholz (Boston)

Oh man
If I still had all
Lean an axe near a speaker
IT WILL EFFECT THE MAGNETS
I had a Spalted Exotic Mockingbird with the Gibson Stop Bar tail like a Les Paul and the script logo. HATED the logo. The R is the only acceptable logo.
Hey how do you date a warlock that has a kahler steeler
What is a TOANE VAULT?
Haha, a very silly name, that’s all. It’s a deliberate misspelling of the word “tone” that some friends of mine were using on social media
is it true fernandes was part of bc rich for a bit???
Not that I’m aware. But they did sell some really high end BCR clones in the early 80s
