I had a few folks reach out and suggest I hit up Horns Hill near Columbus, Ohio. But when I looked at the Trailforks map it was one random blue square trail.
After getting a few more emails someone sent me a real map of the place and it showed four downhill runs. That was enough to roll the dice and see what they had hiding out there.
These trails were legit, tough and rocky downhill park style stuff. They've had a huge groundswell of rider and community support and they're turning this place into a real hub for Ohio mountain biking. So cool!

Had such a good time showing you around Brian! Glad you liked it! Tons of people have put in lots of hours to make this THE place to ride in Ohio!
11:02 Making me look bad chase😂
@@maxwalker9990 You will be making me look bad here in a couple years!
In the first 10 seconds of the video I thought "I hope Blake is there to tow" 😂
@@WALSRU Haha I wish I was able to make it! Already had plans to wakeboard for the day when I found out he was coming!
@@blakecherubini3853 no offense to Chase of course you guys are all killing it 🤟
was a blast riding with you Brian! Let me know whenever you’re back
Had an awesome time riding with you! You will have to make another round back, we got a bunch of new stuff!
Whenever you can, do 47 countries of Europe in a year 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Cheers from Finland
same It would be cool but the thing is that he would be far from his home a lot
Cheers From Malta
How would he even get the van there?
Any riding spots in Finland you'd recommend? Used to live near Levi in the winters never got to ride bikes only snowmobiles
NE Adventures just ship it.
The kid yelling "full commit, Brian" was hilarious. His support worked though. You nailed that double! 👍
"full commit brian!", great advice!
Hey, Brian! I thougt it would be a really cool idea if once this 50 state shred series is over, if you ranked all the states from worst to best! (At least from the trails you rid)
Awesome! Glad you got to make it out and enjoy Horns Hill!
Always look forward to your videos man. Something very relaxing for me to watch. Keep shredding
These trails look awesome, can’t wait to get up there
Awesome video, great trails here in Ohio!
Lots of jumps. Looks so fun
As ever I love watching your videos, still recovering from a broken elbow after a crash, so keeps me in the mtb groove ha
good rollin' BK, my fellow reluctant jumper!
Horns Hill! That's my baby!! 🤘🤘, Great video , Brian!
Loving your content at 2am in Auckland New Zealand
Super awesome man!
Cheers from Peru man! keep it up!
Really enjoying this channel man! I'm from the UK, and have not ventured out of it mountain biking, but experiencing Wales, the Peak/Lake District, Yorkshire, Cornwall... this has been great fun for me... so seeing you bike around the world, and now in the 50 states, is great to watch! What an excellent sport - beautiful surroundings plus the thrill of the ride! Nice work.
Great goal of 50 states. Love it!
I am so glad you went to horns hill this place is the best! For Ohio that is. Max your so lucky you got to ride with Brian!
That looked like a lot of fun!
Really love u dude all ur video where u go is really dame good 😊💕✌
Another great ride/vid. 🙌☮️🐧
Look like excellent rides. A few scary views beside the jumps, tho you handled them good. Cool vids 👄
You have got to be one of the most consistent content creators on UA-cam. You are a beast. I can't believe how you've pushed through the 50 State Shred with all the COVID craziness! Well done my friend, well done. Keep rolling!
STILL My favorite MTB channel Brian!
Looks great. Will have to stop there next time on the way to Snowshoe!
Looked like fun!
Who knew Ohio had any flowing downhill trails. Good guides as well. Thanks for the video man.
Few sections of Sells Park, Vultures Knob and Mohican Trail get going pretty damn fast. Chestnut ridge also recently finished a rather long downhill jump line for central Ohio.
i dont have a bike but i love seeing other people have riding thier bikes and like this videos i am so amaze of the content of this video love it watching from Philippines 🇵🇭❤️🙏
i thought around a minute and a half in that these trails looked familiar - then scrolled down and noticed Send'er Buds comment and yep - that's why. good choice.
We had to show him the goods! 🤙🏻
Great rides wow , im.inspired
That's wild that there are trails up there. I was born in Newark and some of my earliest pictures of me were taken up at Horns hill in the 1970s. I live about an hour away from those trails now, but I have to get over there and check them out.
Great ride B ! good job keep it pushing man ... UA-cam turned off notifications somehow.
I'm with ya, Brian...have been for quite some time.
Yip always on waiting for ur new update 👌
Just got back from Snowshoe, WV. Man, there are some ripping fun dh runs and, some black diamonds that are mind boggling. Dreamweaver being my favorite and skyline being 3 miles of dh goodness
What a rad trail center! Little man rips! Definitely need to visit Ohio.
Would love to show you around!
Send 'er Buds that would be great!
Definitely worth the drive north to check out Hampton Hills, East Rim, and Bedford Reserve
Also definitely want that ohio graphic
Yes East rim is worth riding. Edson run is the downhill jump line at East rim.
Don't even bother with anything in Ohio that isn't northeast or southeast. Go browns.
I'm about to do West Branch for my UA-cam channel I've hiked those Trails there black diamond and they are very hard
watched in Sunpeaks bike park, your' 50 state shred is coming close Winnipeg, I try and ride in Minnesota as often as I can, Duluth, Cuyuna, and welch village where super fun and I keep finding more. Can't wait to see what you shred in the Minnesota and north/South Dakota area
This is not too far away from my hometown growing up, when I get back home to Ohio I am definitely checking it out.
I like you adding the local 3rd person shots.
Big fan sir
I was hoping you would ride horns hill! This place looks gnarly I’m only a few hours from there! Hoping you go to brown county Indiana next!!
Nice KLM hat! MI bike shop represented!
There are a ton of decent trails in Ohio but Horns is really becoming something special... And it's only 20 minutes from my house. Great video 👌
Horns Hill is still growing! Trails still being built! Ohio mountain bikers are what's making it such a special place!
Love it
Looks like you plan on coming right through my area in eastern Iowa (Davenport). If you have time for 2 of our multiple trail systems I'd be happy to guide.
Try Ray's indoor bike park in cleveland, it's amazing!!!
amazing . what fun you had... we did here in our homes.. great vlog how about 51st state liverpool uk
MY HOME TOWN TRAILS! I used to be a XC rider only, but ever since I started riding downhill at horns hill I’ve been addicted to learning to ride downhill and how to jumps. I literally live a couple minutes away from horns Hill and I am so happy To see how it has changed and trail additions that have been made and it still Has more trails being added! It has made me into a better rider and I can actually say that I can shred a trail lol. Horns Hill has motivated me to actually buy a new All Mountain bike after this Christmas, So far I’ve ridden horns Hill on a 100 mm trail bike., so it gets a little rough LOL. I was actually surprised at how well you handle the trail, its very sketchy but it is very fun! Thanks for getting the word out about horns Hill, it is incredible what they have done and I have never had so much fun on a trail before!
So many good trails in Ohio . Awesome you hit horns . You’ve gotta come back and hit Mohican state park and many others in Ohio .
what else is good?
East Rim in Akron , Great seal in Chillicothe, Chestnut Ridge and alum creek in central Ohio . Oak openings in Toledo . Lots of improvements and new trails in Ohio
Man, I need to learn how to make such smooth hyperlapses through my windshield.
Nice ride, by the way...
Awesome
I'm guessing you've already gone through Wisconsin, but if you time it right you should check out Little Switzerland Bike Park outside of Milwaukee. That place is awesome! Another place would be Quarry Ridge in Madison. Also, Horn's Hill looks awesome.
When you hit KY (if you haven’t already) you should check out Devou Park in Covington!
Im calling it next video is minnesota!
I live in Ohio and haven’t been there yet. I will be there soon horns hill!
nice place
Iowa got hit by derecho, but some trails are back up and running. Sugar Bottom, Sunderbruch, Iowa Power. Brown County Indiana is a blast. Cuyuna lakes Minnesota is probably best in Midwest. Lacrosse, wi has a great set of trails.
Wow.. I wish i really have that kind of mtb😁😁
Kind of like a pump track getting every bit out of the minimal elevation
You should ride Farmdale Reservoir when you come to Illinois it’s a blast!
Do you think at the end of the 50 state shred you will rank the states??
Could be a cool video looks like such a blast doing a trip like this!
Alaska is best during the actual late spring / summer months. It's already getting cold here and it starts to rain a bunch. Unless you wait till late January and ride fat bikes out to a glacier :) It's something different, but it would be a shame to miss out on the summer trails. They're pretty incredible.
Hopefully oregon won't be on fire when you get here!
Aaron Bailey true that, I’m looking forward to seeing him come to Oregon
living the dream
There’s 0 dislikes and there’s a reason for it great video
you should have stopped in Athens as well, strouds run has some of my favorite trails.
Check out Baileys in Chauncey Ohio. Or Chestnut Ridge in Canal Winchester.
Wow I live an hour away and have never heard of this place.
Wow as a local to Newark Ohio. I didn’t know Horns Hill was even there
Before the park was taken over by the sexual deviants, we used drive up their and get stoned. It was a picnic. park
Thank you for all the inspiration!
Glad you made it to this place in that Jericho freeze behind the tree with his thing stiff as a board looking at guys
grow up
I’m excited for when he comes to Wisconsin
MTB Blake, where would you recommend he ride in WI? I’ve been trying to think of the best spot!
charlie9ak Camrock park in Cambridge or Levi’s Mound just south of Black River Falls there’s way more spots but those are in my top three
BK - you should have visited Baileys trail system in athens. More your speed. Horns hill I think is for guys who love jumps - could be wrong. Baileys trail system has over 40 miles currently and adding a lot more over last 5 years.
I really hope you didnt miss a rip at Mohican. It's right up your alley!
All we have are hills around the North and west of Ohio. I guess it's nice for mountain biking, but I've never done it.
Am i the only one, that feels like im learning to be a better rider, and better at line choosing, after watching BKXC?
Hey man just letting you know they are almost done building a trail center in Ironton, Missouri. its on Shepard mountain. Its legit.
Did you get to have any buckeyes while you were there? They're awesome!
I also don't drink coffee. Tea is where it's at.
"Oh no, this is over way too fast!"
-She
So many times brian quoted she in this video. "It's so big."
coolest outro music ever, I always enjoy it.
Shame Ray's has been closed from Covid. Wanted to ride there a month ago when I was in Cleveland.
It is open again now.
Super
First Like ....Then watch =) Greetings from germany
Great video! I'm relatively new to this level of mtb riding. Do you have any tips for beginners, what type of trails to try? Also noticed that you don't wear much protective gear (knee or elbow pads)?
Definitely start off on some green flow trails.
You should hit Dubuque Iowa
Please check out Potters Pasture in NEBRASKA!
Would be nice if you would maintain a list of the hard trails - then - after each ride - assign a place to that trail. For example - Florida is gnarlier than Idaho etc.
Whats your plan for riding Alaska and Hawaii? Gonna be able to squeeze in a couple plane flights this year?
I'm an avid MTBer from Ohio and I've never heard of those trails lol.
Perhaps when things get back to normal you can do a second lap of the 50 States. This time Have a poll for which trail in each state.
For the record you would've liked West Branch, East Rim, Mohican state park, Ceasars Creek, Tuscazoar or Vultures Knob better, more tech and miles.
Finally someone says Vulture! Has a certain character that can't be beat. Maybe not the best for the video though -- last time I was there I cleared everything easy with a WalMart bike.
Ohio has some nice trails.. O-H
I-O!
I-O!
Hey Brian, how would you compare it to Diamond Hill? Granted you didn’t ride everything at Diamond Hill
to Alaska, driving through Canada maybe a problem.....
When are you doing Minnesota
I've never ridden anything in Ohio except Ray's, which I don't really consider a trail.
