Excellent assessment. Just a little operational experience on cummberbunds, I run slick sided. This means I do not have gear on the sides of the cummberbunds for a couple reasons. Number one reason: Gear on the side of the cummberbund will interfere with access to my first line and side arm. Transitioning in contact is scary enough without added gear in the way. Number two reason: The doors in SWA are not very wide. The added girth can interfere with swift clearance of doorframes or breach points. I usually built front and back, not on my sides. Good Job.
100% would agree, brother. I also only wear slick sides, to be honest, unless I'm loading out for medical applications, generally. To be honest - I only even really covered that point for the sake of anyone watching this who might WANT to try to run stuff on the sides. Otherwise, the "rolling/sagging" issue isn't even something I run into. Thanks for the feedback WDG - thanks for taking the time to watch and share your experienced thoughts, brother!
Literally a very good review, good gear company producing literally quality stuff, literally wish more companies made such well-thought out kit. xx love ya mate xx
Ey Robo! Thanks for the review. I'm starting to love the low profile plate carriers and running just what I need on a minimatistic way. So, once again, thanks for your work, buddy. A big hug from Spain
Another great review. I kinda love the design and all the work that was put into the carrier. Although I find the Warrior Recon Plate Carrier SAPI to be a better option, just because of the side elements. But that is just my point of view :) Your customizations should be by default on that Plate Carrier.
Pretty neat design, i wonder if he could ad the quickrelease system of the FirstSpear platecarriers, for the cummerbund and the shoulderstraps. If yes, that would be pretty awsome. Anyways nice video and thanks for the input robo!
I believe it could - as that system just depends on the cummerbund and being able to velcro the female end of the tubes system to the front plate pocket.
I'm pretty sure it may have been a mistake, but the new d3cr X has extended the loop field all the way to the edge of the rig. Just incase you didn't know.
Wasn't a mistake - I and all the guys I know own the original D3CR, which does not have the widened velcro. Honestly not going to repurchase the CRX just for the velcro. But you are correct - it's been updated in the D3CR X
Robo, good review, thanks. Quick question - with the mods you specified (PALS and a flap on the back), how much did it cost? I can find the price of the placard and shoulder pads, but am curious to know what the custom work cost. Thanks
Robo love the videos! Hey that helmet in the background? How did you mount those Impact Howard Leight's? I have a team Wendy LTP Exfil and I'm having trouble figuring out how to mount those specific ear pro. Any help is much appreciated bro!
There's a couple tutorials on the net - but basically, you just need to cut the muffs off the HL strap (so it's a permanent mod), remove the remaining wire from the HL posts, and then mount the Peltor Adapters into the HL posts and muffs.
What if you were to put it on the inside of the cummerbund? ie: mags, plate pockets. I'm also a first responder on you can use a piece of webbing a couple feet long tie on itself for a man down drag youtube
>Gets a slick low pro pc and pays extra to add all the stuff non slick carriers come with. You do you man though. Would have appreciated to be informed how much all the custom work added to the cost
Wouldn't thie be an example of a bad PC for vehicle work due to the lack of side plates? I mean movement will be more restricted but vehicle work means that you are more likely to take contact to the sides of the vehicle in an ambush right? Someone help me out here.
While your logic isn't entirely wrong - short answer - no. Side plates don't really offer THAT much side protection, to be honest. They just add a bit of lateral protection for a traditional gun-fight situation. Mobility of getting in and out of a vehicle is the priority for vehicle work, not protection to fight from a vehicle. Optimally - if you're doing high-risk vehicle work - you're working from an up-armored vehicle. Else, your first priority is to get out of the car and to better cover.
Someone help me out here, this is a review for a plate carrier right? But the dude reviewing it uses it for toy guns. I'm military and really confused by people using expensive mission equipment for toy guns. And guidance would be appreciated.
Yes, it's legal to own plates. The specific rules depend on the province you live in. There are a few armor suppliers in Canada, you'd just have to Google the topic to find one near you, or providing the right item for you.
do they come with a plate or not? (i hope not because probably gonna need my cousin's (who currently lived in canada) help to buy it (to reduce the shipping price and customs (customs here is expensive))
No plate carrier comes with plates. Plates are an entirely separate purchase in almost all cases (the only time it's not is when a retailer packages plates with a purchase of a carrier - but they're still their own cost).
Completely agree. I never use a drag handle (at least the default ones; there are some neat aftermarket options that extend to make them more useful). I generally just underarm hook.
Anvil_Airsoft You're comparing the Slickster right? The MSPC is comparable to the Slickster. And the FCPC isn't comparable either because that's a regular PC. The LPSPC is like in between the two. Best of both world's IMO
I am merely comparing price. I prefer to get bang for my buck not banged. These may be super operatoroni but IMO they're like a PC made by ea games. Oh wait you want that? Buy it separately! Yay.
Excellent assessment.

REMF Tacticool I literally second this message.
We're all guilty of it sometimes. A bloke I work with says it constantly and it's 'catching', I can't stop myself saying it a few times a day.
Love the made in Canada 🇨🇦 tag! Something you don't see often.
This is actually a really good review for me because I am looking at getting the exact same thing, except for in mc tropic.
Its well worth the $$
MrDeRooy
Based on research and asking my local airsoft community it is... and this review just solidified that fact even more!
Ey Robo!

Thanks for watching Oscar!

Great in-depth review as always. Keep it up :)
super vidéo mec. ce jpc a l aire vraiment stylé
great video dud. this plate carrier look realy cool
Robo, have you thought about throwing the Ferro elastic cumberbund on it? Or even the one that has the pockets in it?
Robo, good review, thanks. Quick question - with the mods you specified (PALS and a flap on the back), how much did it cost? I can find the price of the placard and shoulder pads, but am curious to know what the custom work cost. Thanks
Cost of the rig W/ shoulder pads and customizations: $360 CAD.

You do you man though.

I dig this thing!
I like that Rick & Morty reference.
Does the new cummerbund material have the same drawl back as hypolan?
Can you do an installation guide to fit an npas into the RWA co2 1911. Thanks
any other "zip on" back packs like what you have there that can hold hpa tanks and hydro bladded?
What training plates are you using? Im looking at picking up a set in the near future
Those are the Team Wendy training plates. I also have used in the past Warrior Trail.
what training plates do you use?

Thanks for clearing that up

I am a fellow Canadian is it legal for us Canucks to own armour plates if so where can I get one

Thank you for the reply
Do your training plates simulate the weight of their steel counterparts?
Yup - they're approximate the same weight as LVL 3 polymer plates, actually. My real plates are LVL IV ceramics.
do they come with a plate or not? (i hope not because probably gonna need my cousin's (who currently lived in canada) help to buy it (to reduce the shipping price and customs (customs here is expensive))

Robo Murray Airsoft i see
Robo Murray Airsoft i dunno what to choose, ferro concepts slickster or this :/
does the tyr tactical zipper thing work with the crye back panel.
Unsure. Although - I do believe they're the same size zippers.
fuck drag handles under hook arm lock for the win!!! way easier with heavy guys too
Completely agree. I never use a drag handle (at least the default ones; there are some neat aftermarket options that extend to make them more useful). I generally just underarm hook.
20000¿? congrats man
Rick and morty reference,Robo?
100% :)
gg
first
I have to say. hell no. ferro concepts is less expensive and comes with pouches if you get the package.

Anvil_Airsoft I agree. The slickster is like $120 and it comes with more features out of the box. This thing is an overpriced gimmick.
