I decided to do something a bit different with this machine rather than just paint it black....not that I don't like black Singers, I just wanted to do something different!!!
Thanks Bill!!! Yup, I did remove the badge but not the serial numbered area, that is cast into the base of the machine so just tape it off. As for the non painted pieces, that's simply too long a subject but let's just say....... 6" grinder with wire wheel on one side and polisher on the other...Dremmel tool with wire wheel......Goop hand cleaner....lacquer thinner.....tons of time and patience. Those are most of the tools I use when restoring a machine. Tutorial of the process coming soon!!!!
Awesome!!! Most Excellent job on the 15-91, I am starting to refinish a 1952 15-91. Did you remove the plate and serial # riveted on the front? What's the best way to clean the non painted pieces? Thanks for the great video, Bill
hi Eric, Ive decided to repaint a Singer 15k 88 after watching your videos. But, now I cant remember how to put the bobbin winder back together. Would you mind doing a video on it please.
