Beautiful and a lovely idea I've never been one who could join the granny squares as I go and with my neuropathy unfortunately my hands don't let me feel and do the things I want so I wouldn't be comfortable making this but it's gorgeous😊 blessings
Thanks Tuula. This seems over my head but someday soon I plan to try. Yikes my eyes were crossing for a minute. Fun to watch. 🤭🧶🙋♀️Linda from California.
Hi, Tuula Maaria. Is this a Finnish pattern of granny squares? 👵 yes or no, this is a real cool 😎 way to use the infinite granny ❤. Thanks for your tutorial and time, you do a wonderfull job all the way around. 😊. See ya. 😊😊
Thank you! No, not Finnish, I have seen similar ones all over the world. Years ago there was a fashion in Finland to make cardigans like this but with even a smaller hook.
Ah, I always felt like I'm cheating/being lazy if I skip a slip knot in favour of a loose stitch. I was happy to hear it has a benefit too, so now I can do it without feeling guilty! 😆 This is such a cheery looking project. I'm not a big fan of making things for the home but I'm picturing a few rows of these colourful squares looking nice near the bottom of a tunic or long wide sleeve.
Certainly no reason to feel guilty of not using a slip knot ! Yes, tiny squares could be used in so many ways also in clothing. I have the same king going on in bamboo yarn, planning a summer skirt but I haven't got it finished in more than 2 years!
I love the mini granny square. Oh the projects I can make for my doll house. Your tutorials are easy to follow and educational. Thank you from Australia.❤️🇦🇺
One could surely make a garment these too, if one wished (though then they'd need to be joined in a way to fit the shape of the garment, of course) - they look lovely & also not too difficult, and yes, good idea to make alongside other projects :) And a great way to use small amounts of yarn one has laying around! ;)
Such a pretty selection of colours. That vibrant pink and the teal work so well with everything else. Were you inspired by local crafts there? I have seen embroidery thread used to sew off ends where they come out of the work, before clipping the ends - but its a lot more work and it is difficult to find thread that matches the yarn.
Thank you! I had taken the yarn with me from Finland, without knowing what I would use it for! That way would make very tidy work I'm sure but as you say, a lot of work too!
This is very nice, thank you for showing it. I actually think I can connect this way with the granny squares after watching your video. I have seen others connect things that were not squares but I couldn't understand it . I like this small square and your idea to make a pillow cover. How does one weave in such small ends?
Great Video. Would look lovely in chunky wool You could crochet over ends in joining row I usually use a small knot on wrong side and crochet over it Think this will be my next project Please could you put Usa term and Uk terms in too
I just work in UK terms being from England and get confused with USA terms but I watch what you're doing and remember your DC is a TR but it doesn't stop my enjoyment of your video also I love looking round Finland I'm in the English Lake District
@@chriss312 I know it's so annoying that there are the 2 different terms! I'm used to both, I design for the English Simply Crochet magazine and they require British terms. Then after a pattern rights return to me, I make a second version in US terms before selling it on Ravelry and Etsy. I used to live for many years in Northern Ireland and going there again next week!
These squares are just so adorable, reminding me of that girl on here crocheting granny squares in thread to make a blanket. Anyway, your are adorable as well. Love how you work them up together as you go, and that lacy effect is there.

Join as you go is so satisfying, to see your project take shape!
Yes, that's how I feel too, it grows gradually in front of your eyes!

Glad you like them, sorry it would be hard for you to do them.
Those are beautiful!!☺️🧶
Glad you like them!
They look very dainty
They do!
Adding to my to do list! I think I’ll make a long sweater/jacket or a blanket.
Lovely! Enjoy making something with these!
Your videos always make me feel like I can do it! I'm going to try this one, maybe with a small pillow cushion. Thanks for sharing!
Lovely! A small item would be good to start with!
Thanks Tuula. This seems over my head but someday soon I plan to try. Yikes my eyes were crossing for a minute. Fun to watch. 🤭🧶🙋♀️Linda from California.
Thank you Linda! Definitely try these soon!
Very nice beautiful
So pretty. I wish I had the patience, too fiddly for me. Lol. I always watch your channel. I have learned some new technique’s from you . TFS
Thanks so much 😊 I enjoy some small things as long as they don’t need to be finished in a rush!
They are fascinating but my arthritis would never let me do them. You make such unique and beautiful things. Have a great week 🤗
Sorry to hear that. Yes, if hands hurt, it's better to do projects with larger hook and yarn

Oh, these would be lovely for a doll's house, even done using sewing thread and a tiny hook!
Bonito, alegre y entretenido, pero ay! muchas colitas para esconder y mucha paciencia para hacerlo😂
Yes, true, lots of yarn ends! But I find it relaxing to weave them in so I don't mind

True, would be great for many garments too! I have seen cardigans made using these tiny squares.
Thanks for showing how to joined squares together thank you for sharing stay safe ❤❤❤

Lovely, make some! 💗💜
I love your accent ❤ Those are great tiny granny squares, i can hardly wait to try making them. 😊
Thanks so much 😊 Happy crocheting!
Love it a lot. You are an amazing lady. Thank you and we love you.

Wonderful! Oh yes, I should have mentioned about weaving in the ends. You need to insert the needle first, then put the yarn into it.
Thank you so very much for your reply. @@TuulaMaaria
This looks so cute! I’m gonna try it!
Great, hope you will enjoy it!
Hi Tuula

True, would be lovely (and faster!) in chunky wool too! At times I remember to mention the UK terms but unfortunately most of the time seem to forget!

Thanks for teaching us ❤
I like hearing the background sounds - different than here at home in Washington State, USA!
Oh yes, there are so many birds here, although in this one there were also children playing and a swimming competition on the way in a pool nearby!
I love this... I wanted to make diamonds...but I'm over my head... because that is not a square just turned-on end...
Lovely! Yes, for a diamond-shape you would need to have it longer than it is wide!
These squares are just so adorable, reminding me of that girl on here crocheting granny squares in thread to make a blanket.
Anyway, your are adorable as well. Love how you work them up together as you go, and that lacy effect is there.

That's very helpful, Tuula, and I'm definitely going to try this.
Lovely, have fun!
So adorable ❤
Thank you so much!
❤❤❤❤❤I LOVE IT….
Great!
Hi do think you can do this method with 3 rounds maybe 4? I am new to crochet
Oh yes, it works the same with larger squares too. You just need to attach between each of the granny stitches (3-double crochets).
@@TuulaMaariathank you so much for your reply and nice and steps in your video :)😊
Very cute ❤
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.
Thank you!
Precioso!!!
Gorgeous. I will try it! Thank you
Lovely!
Very pretty thank you for sharing. 😊

Thank You 🥰
Lovely but a bit above my league!
Great! It's not difficult at all!
Lovely project.😊

I love this!!!!❤🎉
That looks fun!
It is!
