I think it's just maturity when you realize that being happy is not wrapped up in outside accomplishment but in living your life well, being present and loving the people in your life. Once you are able to fund the lifestyle that you are satisfied why stress out over doing more?
Just wanted to let you know that your videos are pretty much the only ones that I genuinely look forward to watching these days. So genuine and authentic and always just feels like a catch up with a pal!
This is going to sound so silly but I got a bit emotional watching this, because what you said about ambition really resonated with me. Now that I’m in my mid 20s while I still care about furthering my career all i ultimately want is what you have, a beautiful home, loving partner, enough cash that I’m able to do things I enjoy and most importantly a cat ❤️
OMG I would so visit a coffee shop run by you both ! I love your videos because you are so authentically you! There is no click bait, no fakeness to you both. You are not money hungry and doing videos just or the views, you film when you can and what you find interesting. I love that.
I really wish people would STOP asking couples about babies. Just STOP! I understand the curiosity but haven't we learned by now that it's none of anyone's business? I cringe whenever a woman has to answer such intrusive questions. I'm sure you get asked a lot, and for that I'm sorry. Aside from that, I LOVED this video so much. Again, it's like hanging out with a friend. It helps that we have similar philosophies about life and success lol. I like my simple little life. As long as we can make enough to afford our bills and a vacation here and there, I'm good. My energy is going into finishing school and someday opening a nonprofit. I'm happy you're vlogging again! 🥰🥰🥰
Definitely feel the same as you! In my 20s I did my degree and wanted success etc...then I got married, had kids and I'm now working in a school doing a job that I love and that pays enough to contribute to our bills and allows us to take the kids on some amazing adventures. LA last week was INCREDIBLE. I just want to go back to America! Feeling content is good, I think! Not having huge ambitions is often seen as a bad thing but it shouldn't be! Big love. Ps- love your coffee shop idea, my hubby has actually written a book set in a coffee/book shop! Xx
I just want to say what a positive impact you’ve had on mine and I’m sure so many other peoples lives! I think that’s way more important an achievement than being the top of any given career ladder! I’m so excited to hear you’re still working on your book, whatever happens with it ❤
Well I watched that video while working out and you talking about your novel and how fulfilling writing it has been made me quite emotional. That was an interesting combination for a gloomy Wednesday evening! If you ever get to publish it, I’ll definitely buy a copy because I’ve always loved the way you communicate your ideas on this channel as well as your humour 💛
Watching this back and knowing Rewitched has been published is so incredible and you are so inspiring, I will forever be grateful for you as you have inspired me to start writing my own book that I’ve had in my head for 2 years ❤ I don’t even like hot cross buns but they do look delicious ❤
YES to the coffee shop-florist-bookshop-nice food place! i would visit constantly 🫶🏼 super proud of you for your mindset, you seem genuinely content which is lovely 🥰
I think in the US, hot cross buns may be a regional thing. I grew up in Boston and San Francisco and always had hot cross buns at Easter, but when I moved to the deep south, I went years without them. Now I can get them sporadically at Florida based grocery Publix. I love them because they remind me of my childhood... Absolutely believe in not letting go of the nostalgic things in life. Music is a huge memory maker for me and I still listen, every day, to the tunes I came of age with and remember so many things associated with them. Can't wait for more NYC and hate that you missed Grand Central and the Oyster Bar Restaurant.
WOW Lucy, I have so much enjoyed being with you over the years and watching you mature. You should be so proud of yourself, you are a great woman and an inspiration xxx
Lucy- I just wanted to say that your videos have been helping me to feel less alone recently and that life can be fun (excuse the closing scene of ‘Matilda’ reference). Your humour and wit, even when talking about deep topics, make them a joy to watch. Looking forward to exploring your NY vlog soon. 🧡
I think (hope) we all look at what we’re doing quite often and wonder if it’s still serving us. I LOVE my job, I’ve worked hard to get where I am, and it affords me lots of time off and cool perks, BUT it’s shift work and it’s so difficult to make plans with loved ones and get Christmas etc off, so it’s a constant question of if it’s still for me. I love these chilled, deep chats. And Flo, and surprise hampers that look UNREAL 🤤
Yay !!! A vlog that isn’t about books ! Now don’t get me wrong…I love a good book ! But this really felt like a good ole catch up with a friend I haven’t really got to spend much time with lately !!! And I’ve missed you girl 💕 Today it really felt like we were in the same ‘space’ ….a coffee shop is an amazing idea btw ! And what place better than to do your book signing 😘 😂it’s good to spend some quality time with you my friend 💕💕
I think you've nailed most of the reasons why I always answer "no way!" when people ask "would you like to go back to school/be younger again"? Just turned 31 and very content with where and who I am. Doesn't mean I'm not improving everyday, just that I enjoy the ride.
I think 100% yes to the living room storage but I think the panelling on the stairs is something you would get bored of and could make the space feel smaller … unless maybe you did it in white 😊
Usually a silent viewer but had to comment on this! Your mystery Italian item is actually from my Hometown!! 🇮🇹 Mostarda is essentially sugary fruits in a mustard flavoured syrup, growing up we’d have it on Christmas Day with meats and cheese and it’d be like a Russian roulette picking fruits from the jar as some fruits become spicier than others in the syrup. Definitely an acquired taste 😅
Thank you for this vlog, your words about just enjoying your life have made me feel so much more calm about not racing to achieve things but to just enjoy the ride ♥️
Everything you said about enjoying the things you enjoyed when you were younger and allowing that nostalgic fun really resonated with me big time ! The feelings you describe are exactly how I've felt whilst replaying my old classic playstation games and it's lovely to hear I'm not the only one taking a good trip down memory lane as an adult ! Lovely to see you posting again - looking very forward to part 2 of new York !!
Long time viewer. I remember when you were going through heartbreak years and years ago with your ex. You seem SO much happier in yourself now and it’s lovely to see!
This was such a lovely vlog. I resonate so much with not wanting success in a traditional way. Learnt recently as long as I make enough money to have a nice simple life and I can be creative often, I think I will feel content 🥰 PS hope I can read your book one day
I live in the US and I grew up with hot cross buns…my mom would bake them but they are also available in the stores. I think in the stores they are only available in the Spring. Yours look AMAZING! Maybe they are regional here? I loved seeing your trip to New York. It looked like you had so much fun! Thank you for this video today…it was just what I needed to hear today.
I loved this vlog so much!! It really felt like we were just hanging out with a friend and chatting. I would totally visit a coffee shop run by you and adam and your cute little home is so amazing and is filled with so much beautiful character.
The career I have found myself in is not one I would ever have imagined for myself. I fell into it and at some point during lockdown I decided that I would make of it what I could, and I have landed a very good job in a fantastic team. If my younger self knew where I’d ended up I think she would be slightly shocked at the path I’ve gone down. But I’m older and wiser than that person and I’ve decided for us both that this is the best I could have done with the options I’ve been given. Despite not going into a job that I thought I would, I’ve found a really nice life for myself and I feel very content. And though it is a career role, I feel absolutely no pressure to be ‘successful’ but rather more focusing on the idea of self growth instead. It just so happens that both have complimented the other.
Here is South Africa Hot cross buns are definitely a favorite Easter treat, truth be told we buy them from Woolworths all year round as they are one of my husband's favorites. 😊👌❤
I've purchased hot-cross buns in a regular grocery store in the U.S., but they are not really a tradition. I would have thought that most people would have heard the nursery song, but maybe that's not such a thing anymore either? Too bad - they're yummy! ❤
Totally with you on the ambition and views of success. I think it is definitely a hitting 30 thing where you re-evaluate what is important. My dream job is no job, or one that doesn't involve any work and allows me to have an abundance of free time.
The mostarda is from my hometown! You eat it mainly on cheese, meat or crackers, it's very intense but super good :) Thanks for another wonderful vlog xx
So nice to hear how much you loved your holiday Lucy!! Hearing you say you loved the holiday so much it made you have those fun chats about staying i was wondering do you think you would ever move to another country if so where? 💕
Not to be dramatic but every vlog you mention your love of coffee I still cannot BELIEVE you don't do tea!! It feels like a crime that you do such cozy vlogs without tea! 😂 Just want to say I've been a subscriber of yours since before you had 1000 subscribers and whenever I have lazy evenings on the sofa and don't know what to watch, I always come back to rewatching you. I bought my first home a few months ago and it's reassuring to see someone struggling with DIY as much as I seem to be 🙃😆
Hot cross buns are a great Easter/Springtime staple here in my neck of the woods 😉☕️ During our last trip south of the border, to the southern states, albeit many years ago, I found my request for "hot tea" was met with consternation 😊. Your buns look delicious ❤
You’re so wonderful. Your videos are like a blanket for my soul. Since it’s April, I hope you have a great birthday! I remembered we share the same birthday and I’ll be going to see the Cactus Blossoms in concert. 🎉 Hot Cross Buns look great! ❤
When you started to make a reference to princess diaries, I truly thought that you were going to go “ I took this and this, and give you a princess” but you went the other direction lol
I need all the travel and accommodation details for New York as it was right up mine and husbands street haha. We love the chilled vibes of having the option of the craziness on Manhattan. Xx
You say briney hot cross buns would not be good & yet one of our major supermarkets launched burger sauce with pickle hot cross buns this year. They were ok (speaking as a pickle fan) but the standout ones were the official vegemite hot cross buns. 12/10 mix of sweet & savoury & you just add butter when warm. No fruit, just the sweet bread bun with a slightly salty overture.
I loved this video so much you can tell that you have healed so much you seem so happy. I am happy your writing your book even if just for yourself. I am very jealous about your busted tickets but I got fall out boy tickets so sadly no busted f9r me but fingers crossed for the Taylor Swift ones to come out soon x
For many years, my only knowledge of hot cross buns came from the children's nursery rhyme: hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny, two a penny, hot cross buns! I've only learned what hot cross buns are later in life from watching British youtubers.
OK so dried fruit in anything is a mistake but they looked very nice 👏👏 Also I think that contentment is underrated - it's a difficult thing to achieve. Getting a dog is much better idea than getting married & having kids 🐾
I've only seen two episodes of Daisy Jones and the Six, but when I saw that Taylor Jenkins Reid was a producer on the series I knew the casting was going to be great! "I don't think it could ever be a bad thing to allow more fun into your life" - so true!

Feeling content is good, I think! Not having huge ambitions is often seen as a bad thing but it shouldn't be! Big love.
Ps- love your coffee shop idea, my hubby has actually written a book set in a coffee/book shop! Xx
Ps I have busted tickets too. Have you pre-ordered the new mcfly album? Waiting for them to tour too! Xx
I find your vlogs to be so calming whether in the hustle and bustle of New York City or cozy at home.
You have the loveliest warm personality and I just adore your sense of humour! Please do more vlogs Lucy xxx
I just want to say what a positive impact you’ve had on mine and I’m sure so many other peoples lives! I think that’s way more important an achievement than being the top of any given career ladder! I’m so excited to hear you’re still working on your book, whatever happens with it ❤
I second this! ❤
Agree too! ❤

rewatching these videos a couple of days before the publication date of your first book - how far you have come and the things you have achieved
YES to the coffee shop-florist-bookshop-nice food place! i would visit constantly 🫶🏼 super proud of you for your mindset, you seem genuinely content which is lovely 🥰
I love these chats and cosy vlogs, it feels like I’m hanging out with a friend 😊

I’m from the USA and we make hot cross buns every Easter! We love them! I didn’t know they were a British thing…. Lol!
I would 100% buy a book you write 😊

Your coffee shop/bookshop/florist dream made me laugh because earlier this week I told someone that this was my exact dream combo

I loved your explanation of how you should feel loved and cherished, something we should all want and deserve
Can’t even tell you how excited I am for your novel 🥹❤️
Long time viewer. I remember when you were going through heartbreak years and years ago with your ex. You seem SO much happier in yourself now and it’s lovely to see!
I so can’t wait to see busted - saw Hanson last year on their tour( seen them 9 times now) they are my fave 😂❤
I love these chill videos and your vlogs so much, they're always so cozyyy~
This was such a lovely vlog. I resonate so much with not wanting success in a traditional way. Learnt recently as long as I make enough money to have a nice simple life and I can be creative often, I think I will feel content 🥰 PS hope I can read your book one day

I work at Emma and I have been watching your videos for so long now, my worlds are colliding and I love it hahahaha
I absolutely LOVE your videos so much!!! They give me such amazing, cozy vibes ❤️🔥 thank you for being you ❤️💫 Love You 🥰💓💗
Here is South Africa Hot cross buns are definitely a favorite Easter treat, truth be told we buy them from Woolworths all year round as they are one of my husband's favorites. 😊👌❤
I just want to thank you and to say that this video and your thoughts were therapeutic, I could identify with a lot of it and I cried ❤
Yessss to the blog post 😅would be an incredible resource. I really want to visit NYC but feel overwhelmed with where to even start with a trip 😂
I really loved this video ❤ So many good and valuable thing were being said, and you just feel like such a honest and genuine person.
Thank you 🫶
I've purchased hot-cross buns in a regular grocery store in the U.S., but they are not really a tradition. I would have thought that most people would have heard the nursery song, but maybe that's not such a thing anymore either? Too bad - they're yummy! ❤
Putting on a delay wash at night to start the next morning makes me feel like I've bossed the day before I've even got out of bed. ✌

I didn't love NYC until I went up to Summit and saw the whole city from above. It was amazing.
So nice to hear how much you loved your holiday Lucy!! Hearing you say you loved the holiday so much it made you have those fun chats about staying i was wondering do you think you would ever move to another country if so where? 💕
When Flo's bell was jingling on her collar at the end, my cat kept looking around trying to see where this other cat was 😆
I love that someone else appreciates the greatness of the delay function of washing machines haha

You’re so wonderful. Your videos are like a blanket for my soul. Since it’s April, I hope you have a great birthday! I remembered we share the same birthday and I’ll be going to see the Cactus Blossoms in concert. 🎉 Hot Cross Buns look great! ❤
Happy Birthday
When you started to make a reference to princess diaries, I truly thought that you were going to go “ I took this and this, and give you a princess” but you went the other direction lol
Cackling away to myself and only 1 minute in!!! Your vids are always the pick me up I needed 💓
Congrats on the amazing looking hot cross buns! That is a major achievement my friend!
I need all the travel and accommodation details for New York as it was right up mine and husbands street haha. We love the chilled vibes of having the option of the craziness on Manhattan. Xx
I’m an American and I know what got cross buns are!!! But I also worked at a bakery once 😆
Cerave is a great moisturiser, they do night ones and spf ones
Excited to watch this! Thanks Lucy❤😊
I love these cooking/dm vlogs 💕🤌🏻
It’s so nice to see you so content with life ❤

So glad it’s not just me who has career crisis!!
I got so excited when you pulled those pickles out because I thought you were going to tell us where to get good American style pickles in the UK
i'm german and also have never heard of hot cross buns before. but now i want to make them!
You and Adam are so sweet.
Love your vlogs. ❤
A really cosy video! Loved it, thank you so much!
Yay!!!! 🎉 you got the busted tickets. I can not wait! 💛
Loved this Vlog 😘xx
Can I ask what shade of glossier skin tint you are? It made your skin look amazing and now I need it!
"that's Under the Sea" 🤣😂
For many years, my only knowledge of hot cross buns came from the children's nursery rhyme: hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny, two a penny, hot cross buns! I've only learned what hot cross buns are later in life from watching British youtubers.
Thank you for asking Google for the weather....it triggered mine at my house ...so loud at 2:37am ....almost had a heart attack hahaha
Would 100% want to read a book you've written 😮❤
Omg this vlog warmed my heart 🥰
I always think I’m not brave enough to make hot cross buns myself, but after watching you make them I kinda want to attempt it 😅🥰
already wanna pre-order the book🥹
It’s a question I ask myself on a daily basis: ‘why am I not in New York right now?!’ 😩
Thanks for another heart warming vlog xx
OK so dried fruit in anything is a mistake but they looked very nice 👏👏 Also I think that contentment is underrated - it's a difficult thing to achieve. Getting a dog is much better idea than getting married & having kids 🐾
I would absolutely love to read a book you've written! I'd preorder it in a heartbeat, let me tell you
Love this!!!
Watching this just pulled me out of a horrible panic attack. Thank you ☺️
❤ hot cross buns with both sultanas and citrus peel 🇨🇦
You set off my google from the other room 😂 a real jump scare but i guess now i know the weather for today 😂
We have hot cross buns in Canada! I look forward to them every year but have never made them, maybe I should rectify that haha
Here in the states, Hot Cross Buns is the first song you learn on the recorder in 2nd grade.
I've only seen two episodes of Daisy Jones and the Six, but when I saw that Taylor Jenkins Reid was a producer on the series I knew the casting was going to be great! (unlike shows where the writer of the book gives up all rights and it gets turned into something unrecognizable). Did you know that the woman playing Daisy Jones, Riley Keough, is Elvis Presley's granddaughter!?
Freakin love eating pickles out the jar 😅 gotta be cold out the fridge tho
I’m American and I literally made hot cross buns last weekend 🤣
The intro 😂❤
The loveliest video, Lucy. Thank you 🙏🏻 I had no idea about the novel writing, that is amazing!
I wanna read your book in your coffee shop one day
