Man...when the Comic-Con trailer came out for this movie it was in my opinion the best trailer I had ever seen across any genre and the shot that made me swoon was when Batman landed on the wall and the lightning flashed then when he shot the grappling gun again and dodged the lazer beam. We all thought it was Superman's lazer beam at that time but either way this portrayal of Batman has been the best so far. That warehouse scene!!!!! FUCK!!!!!

I really like how they portrayed Batman in this fight with Doomsday. He's surviving, but only by the skin of his teeth. He only serves to distract Doomsday, and hit him with that one Kryptonite grenade, but in a battle where the other participants are essentially God's, that's really quite incredible. He truly is the pinnacle of mortal humanity.

Let's just be honest: these pre 2020 movies will soon be classics compared to what we're getting post pandemic. This was panned by the critics, but I liked it and it looks pretty awesome (by comparison) now.

I have to say, I never even look into what critics say about a movie ever. I always just decide for myself whether I think I'll like a movie or not because I've seen WAY too many times I hear about critics bashing a movie that I end up loving. Besides, how can people who don't even make movies decide for everyone else whether a movie is good or not? Crazy thing is I also see in comment sections that whenever critics don't like a movie, most people seem to dismiss the movie as well. That seems to be human nature these days to not think for themselves and believe or even agree with whatever someone else tells them just because they are a so called "expert."

Quite literally the case...I expected like atleast 20 times more destruction in Infinity War and Endgame than what was served. Honestly, I think infinity war did justice to it to some extent but Endgame as the last going for many a og Avengers and the Mad Titan himself felt a little hushed for sure to me. It never touched the mark it should as an honest closure to the scales set up by Infinity War and the stories coming before it.

I don't see how he managed to do that when just being near the spear for a few seconds before almost slept him. Superman shouldn't be using Kryptonite weapons in this continuity.
Pulling himself in closer was utterly pointless. He could have simply let go of the spear for a second, grabbed part of near the end and then drove it in further. The spear was really long.

I think movie was great too but it was like they made the movie in an unnecessary rush to keep up with Marvel (thus it's impossible with just two movies) and wb producers were assholes. They wanted Zack to introduce 2 new characters in this universe and these characters are fucking batman and WW. I think he nailed it tho. Superman VS Batman is kinda weak but this fight is incredibly good. The only thing about movie I strongly hate is the "Martha" scene. Even Superman just said "OK Bruz save my mom pls" could've work better. In the other hand they cut so much necessary scenes from theatretical cut. Ultimate edition is good enough but the Martha scene makes me "meh"

I’m sorry but no superhero death in like the last decade has really put me in aw. I thought the snap in endgame was weak, you just gotta love how Thanos conveniently allows him to utter the words, Logan’s death was heartfelt I’ll admit but I wasn’t really broken up about it, and Supes death honestly felt rushed but I can forgive it because it paved the way for ZSJL because that’s basically the premise of the film. Last superhero death that truly made me feel something was Batman’s sacrifice at the end of TDKR and that wasn’t even an actual death!!!! It was just such a fulfilling satisfying conclusion to one of the greatest film trilogies to ever grace the silver screen. I thought the movie was mediocre at best, but the ending made it totally worth it.

For me this is one of the most heartbreaking scenes I have ever seen for my favorite superhero Superman who intentionally sacrificing himself to save the people he loves like Lois Lane, humanity if I can say, Wonder Woman the amazonian princess and even the one who tried to kill him before Batman combined with this touching music of Hans Zimmer it demolishes me that I cry with emotion. Definitely this tragic scene hits you so hard it makes you love Superman even more.

after many years, I still pretty enjoy this movie. It's like watching live action comic. Epic.
Synders cinematography is on another level. No director has come closer to his vision on the scene. But no one is perfect, Synders needs to work on his storytelling, so the vast majority can understand the movie without deep background knowledge of the movie.

zack cannot fall back for audience , audience as a whole need to catch up .
But the first principle of filmmaking is to show the audience and not to tell the audience whether that is down to small details such as newspaper clippings or background props it's designed that way to then when you watch it again you can pick up something again later.
Like I love all of Zack Snyder movies and DC movies in general and this movie is my particular favourite but even now I'm dropping in and I'm experiencing something new and being blown away by something that I never knew was there before and for me that expands the overall feeling I get from watching the movie it makes me love the movies more because although you have watched the movie countless of times there's always something knew.
But yeah I agree general audiences will not get the most out of movies like this they want stuff where you watch it once easy quick dialogue easy story nothing too complicated and again to show them what's going because they will get bored where as I consider movies that have layers pure director movies and they design for people who live movies and not for a quick pay check

We're supposed to get the impression that Doomsday has the power to kill any one of them along with the rest of the human race without factoring in the k-spear. This fight is meant to give us a sense of epicness, but it mainly serves to convey terror in the face of a virtually unstoppable monster and the bravery of these heroes in spite of that terror. The scene is also borderline unnecessary, much like all of Wonder Woman's scenes in this film.
We could've easily done without her.

1:30 damm that scene though. The music, the quietness of the moment, the sheer emotion that is felt, fucking beautiful and tear jerking. Honestly one of the biggest reasons that the snyderverse actually tops the MCU is because of moments like these that are taken so seriously.

man i can tell the animators had so much fun animating Doomsday, the details in all of his face moving, him charging against Batman...gah perfection. Zack must be a great boss to work for with how much he loves this stuff versus being someone who has no clue what they want "make it look good"

I just noticed that when Clark was catching this small spike on Doomsday's cutted hand to give himself better push of spear through Doomsday's chest, you can see that at first moment Clark is actually pulling himself deeper on this bigger spike that Doomsday had punctured him. Zack Snyder is genius about such small details o.O
Zack set up Cavill's scream perfectly. That's how Justice League starts. Very clever.
*I was rewatching BvS Ultimate Edition tonight and for the first time I cried while watching it. I felt Martha Kent's pain as she placed her dead husband's photo on her dead son's body at Clarks funeral. The more I rewatch that movie, the more I love it. It truly is a masterpiece.*

Watching the Dark Knight escape (barely) from a Kryptonian monster has convinced me that Batman is not merely peak human...he's the lowest possible rung of superhuman. A testament to iron will.
The imagery, sound effects and musical queues in this sequence are astonishing. Some of the most epic visuals in movie history.

For those who are wondering why Superman died to a sharp poke by Doomsday is because it surged the kryptonite liquid that's been placed into its system by the spear and infused it into his own sharp weapon. This also includes Doomsday being kryptonian penetrating Supes skin
Nope, doomsday has the same/greater level of strength as Superman and his skin and nails were equal/greater to Superman's strength. The spear was both near doomsday and Superman which made Superman weak. You can see with the spear in his hand he was unable to fly high and barely managed to reach near doomsday. So, it made Superman's regeneration impossible so he was dead with a simple kryptonian stab.
@@abcde7689prior superman breathing two cans of kryptonite gas, frequent exposure to kryptonite spear and barely getting sunlight to restore himself. His death makes sense.
