  • It's snowbird season here in Florida, and the Pinecraft neighborhood in Sarasota County has been welcoming unique snowbirds for nearly a century.
    Every winter, members of the Amish and Mennonite community offer visitors a glimpse into their distinctive culture.

      @@kimterry4239 They actually don't care. A guy on here went to visit them and asked and they said it's fine. They dispelled a lot of the amish myths from american media like "rumspringa" stuff.

    For all their “modesty” quite a few of those elderly Amish look dangerously overweight. Too much ice cream?

      They don't do a lot of farmwork at that age, so they don't burn calories. That must be it.

    Violating people's privacy is not preserving history. The photographer has no respect for their cultural beliefs about photographs. :(
