On the injectors the leak off test checks the condition of the spool valve. Its important because too much leaking means the pump cant hold the common rail at the right pressure. The reason they can pass that and the engine still wont start is because the nozzle is worn and not giving a fine spray that can ignite easily, or at all. Fuel does have very fine grit in it which is why injectors degrade over time so you are spot on in your attention to filters. Thanks for another fun video and good result.
@@sruk terry I’m very interested in the red vivaro van and that was me that asked you a few weeks ago about the same kinda van I’m looking for a half decent van (( Well you let me know when you get a chance thanks
Rob I spent 35 years in the military in the field of vehicle maintenance and worked on everything from motorcycles to main battle tanks in both workshop environments and sunny deserts ! I’m now heading towards retirement and am inspired by your videos to do something similar as my retirement hobby albeit on a very very much smaller scale. Look forward to future videos and projects👍👍
Amazing that the cost of 4 new injectors is as much as paid for the van. You MUST value your time correctly in the work and time you guys put in OR you are working for nothing. You are selling your skill, knowledge and also take into account the cost of your garage, yard and equipment. Great video again. I am always eager to see the next one.
Of all the channels I watch i appreciate your guys work cause its (raw/real) material. Not chopped and edited just every day veichles and could easily go for the higher money but stay true to yarselves. Good work lads
You can hear in your voice how proud you are with all of your repairs and the parts you use when repairing all of the vehicles. This is why you are so popular & because you have an excellent UA-cam channel. You should both be very proud of yourself’s. From Chris the Englishman in England.
Proud to watch two Mechanics valuing their Customers experience and their own Business Image within the Trade ... Bloody Good Show !!! Nice One you two ....
nice one matey just love how your so honest and do everything that is needed so proffesional and not shy about how much ya make out of them, not like many other channels
A lot of people probably think you make a fortune on these, maybe you should explain you pay tax on your Gross profit and not Nett profit. I know I only recently found out and it not only shocked me but surprised me. Great video again, thanks.
Costly repair but you guys got it sorted as you knew what the issue was going to be & you never cut corners with people who buy the vans from you top guys are Rob & Chris 👍👍👍👍
Hi Rob & Chris, tidy little van well worth what you're asking. Always amazes me how a bit of time spent cleaning them, makes such a difference, transformed in a couple of hours. Cheers, Alex.
Question? Who would want to buy a second hand motor from these guys??? ME 100%, Chris / Rob so honourable and genuine guys not fitting reconditioned parts, you have worked hard building this channel up, great that your are not being greedy cutting corners. Kudos to you both, a credit to UA-cam. Keep up the good work, others try to copy but not even close!!
Very nice product. Great to hear the ethics you have in replacing injectors with new. I think your asking price is spot on, a real bargain. Thanks for the continued variety and content, stay safe Gents, Cheers 👍🏽🙂
Great video Rob these are becoming your bread and butter, but if they continue to turn a quick profit why not. Take Care Stay Safe Everyone Regards Dave 👍😎🏴
Smart move leaving the chevrons on the back. As it's being sold as a work van I'm sure the buyer would like it that way even if there wasn't that ding.
I had a combo and had starting problems when engine was warm nothing showed on diagnostics and yes it was injectors the guy who does my mechanising diagnosed it the old fashioned way .(used his experience.) It went through 3 accelerator switches during the 9 years I had it. Great video again your positive attitude is really uplifting!!!
Sorry Rob, I’m going to have to watch this again! I’m always watching what Chris is doing in the background and looking at the other motors in stock! 😂
Wish everyone was as genuine as you, you could easily get a set of used injectors for couple of hundred pounds and get it to a running point and flog it on for £4000 but no you spend a small fortune to get the veichles immaculate and sell under market value. Well done rob
Also - just wanted to say, I found your channel a month ago, I've watched pretty much EVERYTHING on it. My Dad was a mechanic, I've picked up a few things along the way, but I am LOVING watching you two work. It's nice to see genuine, decent people at work. Cheers to you and Chris!
These vans have a costly fault with the injector fails, well done as always guys for being thorough with your work, making sure these vehicles are in tip top condition before you move them on!!.
I knew you wouldn't be able to resist stopping off at a lay by on the way to the MOT Rob for a spot of hot dogging. Hope the combo was good, and also the van.
Hi rob and Chris congratulations on reaching 166,000 subscribers and well done for all your hard work with the cars and videos and hope you are staying safe and well
Great vid guys, you and Chris are a credit to the motor industry with your honesty and thoroughness with vehicles,I always look forward to your videos! I'm addicted! 👍
Lets get involved Hi guys nice to see it up and running they are good work horses abut it sounds great but loving the way to reset the the service light not bad on the mileage not a Bad van indeed can’t wait for next one ❤️🛠👍
I love these van videos thanks, and you did the right thing putting the proper injectors on. Reputation is everything. And you two must have a great one 👍
Love the videos, Rob, saving a few pennies from my army pension every week to get a vehicle, even though you are miles away once I get enough I would love to buy one from you guys in the future. The care you take in the vehicles is amazing...Thanks for the videos they are brilliant.
I admire the determination to fault find & fix everything you come across. You could easily embarrass some garages out there. Keep up the great content. But it goes without saying, there are also other hard working mechanics as well out there..
Not surprised you sold the last 2 to subscribers. You and Chris do a cracking job. Anyone buying is going to be pretty sure they're getting a well-sorted vehicle in a presentable condition, even if it has cost a few shekels to get it that way.
The best bits is when you show your mistakes without cutting them from your vids it shows you like us drop a b--- keep them coming you and Chris make a great team stay safe 👍👨🏻🏭
Another entertaining video good to see the attention to detail you both put in to these motors ,nice to see the boy wonder bobbing about in the background , I dare say he’s refurbing something.🇬🇧👍KTF.London Paul.
The numbers really are interesting to see how and where traders can make a sweet little profit on honest builds like this one. Looked like a great little van for the money. Hope you're still getting better and better from being poorly. Thanks for keeping us sane through lockdowns
Niiiice, about time you charged a decent amount a vehicle, still a clean and reliable purchase for a new owner. Good video. Thanks for update on the MOTers car
Is that an old HA van in the corner? I bought an old ex-Post Office van years ago (R reg) and the clock said 30,000 miles. I thought it had been adjusted but then under the seat I found the postie's log book - every day, every single 5 mile trip was recorded! Great van.
Great video again, regardless of how many you've done before..You certainly instill peace of mind and trust to any prospective buyer of these vehicles..Well done Rob & Chris...Hope that I am a customer one day!!
