I just love how Chris and Rob are just "straight up" Guys " No a grands to cheap, No £1500 is too much"... I think thats the secret of this channel, Just 2 likeable, genuine blokes going about their everyday lives..innit

Rob and Chris you have inspired me to start to buy fix and sell cars I've alwsys been hands on and am pretty competent with a spanner I've rebuilt engines rebuilt cars etc anyway ive secured a unit and I've recently purchased 2 golf gti's and an qashqai £900 in on all 3 they have now been sold and I made very good profits more than 3 months of my current job wage so today I handed my notice in nothing salvage just mot failures and cars that have been parked up on driveways

@@cancan5763 cheers fella its definitely alot less stress than lorry diving obviously there's the risk of losing money and not that comfort of knowing you have a regular wage
But I have got the addresses of about 30 cars all on people's driveways (good thing about being a lorry driver you see alot) and I made sure to save so I have a decent amount to float me by in the bank while I try to make a living

Your dads van has loads of mileage in it , but a little sentimental to let it go for you as well , which came across .
Ì remember in the 70s when CB radio took off here in the UK, loads of huge whip aerials
On cars vans etc , which made them whistle as they drove by 😄
My friend hit the brakes late at a zebra crossing , and the whip aerial swung down and hit a man on his head ,
That was the worst case of van aerial disease ever recorded 🤣
Rob I’ve the same van & roof bars. There should be a 3rd bar at the front that has a wind deflector on it - that’s stops the droning noise.

upgraded from the combo van. Rob I admire your decision in relation to the sale of the combo van,that you will give your father in law every penny you fetch for it,that is a very nice gesture on your behalf.

We used to bend a bit of ali to make a wind deflector and screw it onto the front bar to get rid of the droning wind noise…..works a treat! Saying that, if it’s only 1 bolt each corner you might as well keep them in the back and just put them on when needed 👍🏼 great stuff again Rob & Chris 👍🏼👍🏼

You fell in love with that van the minute you picked it up rob I’m not surprised you wanted to upgrade and a well deserved and needed upgrade enjoy your well deserved late Christmas present to yourself. Whoever gets your old van will be very lucky.
I do all my own servicing on my 4 cars every 6 months and never thought to turn the can sideways when fulling. Even with a funnel I'd often make a mess. I tried this when doing the most recent service on my Saab and my Civic and it worked brilliantly - cheers for the tip👍

Another great video. Rob, if you lightly coat the edges of the pollen filter with fabric softener - like Comfort or Lenor - it makes them slide into tight spaces much easier. Found this out changing the pollen filter on a Freelander 2.

ROB give me the combo any day over that Citroen,sold my combo last year duiring lockdown as not being used.I ran it for five years and it never missed a beat,Mine was EK58 and the same colour.Rob just make sure your breakdown cover is kept up to date.
When you were repairing this van and commenting on it, I had wondered if this was going to be the outcome, indeed, a happy ending; Rob gets a nice new van. 🙂👍

My berlingo 2013 has clocked up 314k and only just had the engine not start! Going to try and rebuild it and get it going again.
OCS cleaning Combi vans roof racks ..We took them off and carried them in the back unless needed 🙂
We used combos for years. Cracking vans. They go on forever.

Glad to hear that it is not the tyres as that would have been odd. The chap really cared for that Berlingo van. I see that it even has mud flaps. Thoroughly delighted that Rob is keeping it as a runaround. Wishing him many miles of happy motoring. As for the Combo that will be good value transport for a tradesman or even a kid who mountain 'bikes, surfs, or whatever. Thank you.
You've actually had the Corsa for 14 months. The video was posted in October 2020. Its been a great little workhorse, and with the mileage you do, the Berlingo makes perfect sense.
Don’t blame you for keeping it Rob. Sure the extra space over the combi will come in handy.

I had a feeling you would keep the Berlingo, it's such a nice clean fully loaded van, a delight for long journeys, Combos are good reliable vans, post office used many of these and some are still in service so that proves their reliability, going to make a decent van for someone
Rob if you make a flap and attach it to the front bar down to the van it works no noise 👍do it to every van I have owned

I worked for Royal Mail nearly twenty years ago and drove a Combo a couple of times. Was pleasantly surprised. Really nice little vans to drive. 🙂

I’ve had a number of cars with the same locking issue it’s usually the wiring harness from repeated bending opening ad closing the door it’s usually a quick fix in the rubber between the door and bodywork

I liked that little Isuzu 1.7l diesel which I had in a similar aged Corsa saloon, it revved like a petrol engine and could be surprisingly frugal, even for a diesel.

Those Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons tyres are excellent. Very quiet and last well. Also fantastic in snow and wet.
A well deserved upgrade Rob with the miles you are doing you will appreciate the extra toy's you have on the Citroen.
Definitely the right decision..you deserve a few creature comforts..and it’s an auto…so much more relaxing to drive in traffic

Obvious when you think about it that the roof bars will wistle. I think you made the right choice Rob especially when you consider the amount of mileage you can do in quite a short time. I think there would be room for a small mattress in there after all your not a big lad, a bit cold this time of year though.🥶😂 Thanks for the update on these vans Rob and Chris, we will be looking forward to your next adventure. 👍👍

I haven't had a roof rack for many years but they were annoying when I had one and sounds like they still are. Well done for upgrading your van and you should have no trouble getting a buyer for the Combo. Great video again, thanks. I like Chris's beanie, I'm always in a hat, keeps the brain warm!!
Check the wires inside the rubber boot between the A pillar and door. Its a common fault for vauxhalls, the wires go brittle and break just had to do my astra.

There’s two different sorts of pollen filter the one you’ve taken out is a charcoal pollen filter which get rid of smells the one you fitted just get rid of dust
Those Berlingos are brilliant vans, if yours has the folding through load passengers seat it's excellent and I had fitted a 8'6" surfboard through it. The 3 seats makes it extra useful!

If you think that pollen filter was bad, imagine if there'd been a clutch pedal there! Not wanting to pick fault, but the state of that oil filter, I think I'd have had the sump off and cleaned the oil pickup out before it ends up wanting a turbo.
Well done for treating yourself! Would have been nice if you mentioned the mileage on the Combo.
