I was up Simonside yesterday. Absolutely spectacular when the mist rolls in. Whole forest totally saturated. What a view to fall asleep and wake up to. Thanks for sharing 👍 ATVB Chez
I've been watching your channel on and off and have now subscribed, I really enjoy your bivy camps and I love Northumberland so thanks Adrian, I'll look forward to many more great video's. Cheers.
Spot on Adrian, that’s what wild camping is all about mate, to get away in the wild and relax👌, doesn’t matter if you go to the same spot or different ones, it’s all good, the peace and quiet, cracking views looking over the forest towards simonside, I got one of the goretex bags like you recommended, you’re right, they are great👍, the sound of rain on the tarp and bivy, with them views, cannot beat it mate, atb Mick 👍
That forest is well worth an explore, even if sometimes you do go back to a familiar place, you’re adding to your knowledge of the place. I envy you being able to get out every week!
Yea, bivi's are more for overnighters unless you can dry sleeping bags out in the sun. which is going to be a none starter in winter. Nice relaxing upload by the way.
Hi and thanks for watching, yes I could have done one more night at a push, but crunching down a damp bag makes it more wet !! Still I can’t help but love the bivy Cheers Adrian
Cracking video Adrian that route is brutal especially for the ankles but it's got a few potential places to camp I love the area were you camp the view's are amazing and you get a great sunset and sunrise if the weather is good anyway see you soon mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Happy new year Adrian …Don’t apologise for returning to haunts that enjoy camping at , I have plenty that I rotate over the year . I just love returning in different seasons of the year. A good test of the bivi on this mate 👍
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoy them, no hooped bivy will be as breathable as the army, Alpkit hunkas are good for the summer, so I suppose the elan would be the same but for our weather go army, you can use a header for the beasties !! Can’t beat a bivy Cheers
Hi Dave, happy new year, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it, I feel a hill camp coming on next weekend, hopefully another wind free night, Cheers Adrian
I loved this camp because this camp is your happy place. It’s your sanctuary and your serene home. I’ll never get tired of this spot. Man, you have a great bivy. Warm, dry and happy.
I remember the pooling of condensation when your pad burst. It's acting as an impermeable vapour barrier trapping condensation . I read recommendations to lie bivvy on a towel if pad is out of bivvy or use a permeable silk liner outside your sleeping bag inside the bivvy to help keep you dry
Hi and thanks for watching, this was rain running on the mat, I did it as a test, I stayed bone dry this time, it was really odd that time it burst it must have caused me to lie in pooled water on the flat mat Cheers and thanks for the interest
Hi and thanks for watching, well we have the Cheviots just up the road, we also have lots of wind and midges, so really I keep the hills for the summer and the forest for the midge free cold weather, don’t know about some others ! This pitch gives me a view as well, Cheers

Hi Dave, happy new year, thanks for watching, yes nothing wrong to chill at a nice spot, forest air and still get nice views,
Cheers Adrian
Nice camp, impressed. I was looking at hooped bivis but after watching your videos I'm leaning towards a British army bivi bag instead

Talking of spiritual home, where are you from originally. You sound like you’re from my neck of the woods in The Black Country.
