How can Joe say that he thinks ancient Egypt was the peak of technology and civilization?, and then say people at this time had no knowledge of things?
Whatever has him doesn’t let go that easy
😂 he said it was the “peak of technology”? I’ve heard him say things like “they were a lot more advanced than we’d think” but PEAK?
I thought the exact same thing it’s also funny how joe is obsessed with Egyptians creating “perfect “ circles despite PI being an irrational number just proves how dumb Joe actually is lol
Yes he said that if I know the exact podcast it was I would try to find it.
No one is saying people 2000 years ago had better technology.
Every one of the apostles were martyred, dying the worst possible deaths you can imagine. Crucified upside down, thrown in boiling oil, skinned alive, beheaded, just about every awful way to go. Each one was asked to renounce Christ if they wanted to live. Not one did. Would you die the worst death imaginable for nothing? Something you knew for sure was a lie? I think not. Every one of them saw the risen Christ and refused to renounce Him.
Very interesting point but what we ought to make of these extremist muslims that would die the same way i a heartbeat?
Being willing to die for your beliefs doesnt make them any more valid. Jim jones followers also drank the kool aid
This is baseless and doesn't mean anything. Lots of people throughout history were manipulated into cults and were willing to give their life up for a cause they thought was worth it, even if it meant death or pain. Doesn't make it true in any way. Invalid argument, fallacy in itself.
@@YoungMorroc that may be true but those who were manipulated wouldn’t have known the truth. If the disciples stole the body, then they would have known the truth. Those same men ran away and scattered when Jesus was arrested before being crucified. Do you really think after witnessing what He went through being beaten and crucified they suddenly decided that stealing his body and declaring that he had risen from the grave was worth being brutally killed over? That’s a tough sell in my opinion.
@@YoungMorroc shut up geek Jesus is real

The Bible is hot garbage.
I was living in hotels 5 years ago drinking my life away still lost in the war I fought in. I accepted Jesus Christ and am now a sober married homeowner. All I have to say. I tried everything that the earth had to get my mind back and was damn near at the end. After accepting and living for Jesus I’m a sober married homeowner.
Yeah, that's called placebo effect.
You did it yourself, my dude. And well done.

Awesome testimony brother.
Let the redeemed of The Lord say so. Never doubt that what you feel is real, because His presence is unmistakable and unexplainable. God bless you, let us all have eyes that see and ears that hear. 🙏✝️
Jesus is a lie. Jesus is the son of a god that commands genocides and genital mutilations. How can you worship genocidal genital mutilating psychopaths?
So the disciples stole the body, hid it, and then went on to die the worst martyrdoms ever recorded to fool people into believing in a lie? That’s real dedication to a lie.
That’s to say any of it happened in the first place. It didn’t btw..
@TrayvonJones952 no, no it didn't.
@@markcreel9258 read some of your other comments as well, and I’d have to agree on them

Not just that they were all killed in horrible ways . All they had to do was say what they wrote wasn’t true.
Either he is or he isn't. I personally believe that he is and my previous existence of fear, uncertainty and misery is no more. I have new found purpose. Thank God!
I say Jesus is real because the things that I have gone through and the things I personally experienced, there are no ways to explain, describe, or prove other than the coming to the conclusion that it was God himself
@@MadelnOahu Amen
Life according to science is based on fear to keep us alive. To toss that built in feeling is simply losing your mind and abandoning thousands of years of evolution. So anyone who does, in this age is void of consequence. If you did this 1000k or even 500 years ago, could mean death. Enjoy your life, but you probably don’t got it right.
Fearing Jesus seems like a threat ..that's what the devil would do not someone who doesn't fight back and forgives.
@@EBC-Bro No, not fearing Jesus. FEAR from living in the world and being of the world and NOT knowing HIM.
You cut the video before Chris replied to Joe's case to make it fair. One of the people who saw Jesus actually hated him and didn't want to see him. He was killing Christians for their belief cos he thought it was blasphemy. Then Jesus came to him and he became a believer. After that he started healing people just as Jesus did. His name was Paul. Best witness testimony there is of Jesus coming back from the dead.
There’s no best witness. There’s too many witnesses. How about James? Half brother of Jesus. Non-believer throughout his life. Then something happened. Ended up writing about events. Was martyred.
Just look at who was at the cross when he died. Everyone thought it was a lie. Something happened after his death that compelled everyone to come out as lions.
Paul was a sociopathic liar who wanted fame and fortune.. not one to be taken seriously
Paul is ludicrous and is a fictional, typological character.
It’s intresting that Joe whole heartedly believes in Aliens but this can’t possibly be real…
Isn't it weird that people will believe everything else but they won't believe the bible. Hmm coincidence I think NOT..
@@JosephLee706the demons are trying to blind people from the truth
@brandonnabhan3366 please don't tell me that is supporting slavery!! 🤦 🤣😂😆
He doesn’t believe whole heartedly in aliens.
But he does say all the time how we humans in the present world know so much, that we are intellectually superior to people of the past. That is a faulty position, and lacks humility. Pride comes right before the fall. You must know that we don’t “know” everything.
Chris has a magical way of pronouncing “Jeez Us”
lol
So if Jesus was just a guy without any divine nature, that doesn’t explain the acts of his apostles in the aftermath of the crucifixion. They had to have seen and experienced something so profound that they shared this story in all corners of the known world at the time under constant threat of death where just prior to the crucifixion they were cowards, and willingly went to their gruesome deaths without hesitation or distress.
Good point!
The Case for Christ is by Lee Strobel, Lee Strobel was an investigative journalist who worked in Chicago and was an editor for The Chicago Tribune. He started his research as an atheist because his wife became a christian and he hated it. He did his research in order to discredit his wife's new found faith and in doing so became a Christian himself, and wrote the book. This guy Distefano didn't say one thing that I just wrote about the book or the author. Has Joe Roagn read any parts of the Bible? Would that be disingenuous to make statements and accusations about Jesus and the Bible without due diligence? He also contradicts what he's stating. Examples being Lee Stroble is not ignorant. There has only been one Jesus, so you can't go by Occam's razor, He's a one of. The Pharisees heard and saw what Jesus did and was doing, and still they refuse to believe. Heres an Occams razor, the simplicity of who and why Jesus came is because of sin, and He is the only way to everlasting life, that He came, died, and rose again, dying for all sin, and whoever should believe in Him should have everlasting life. In any case, Joe should have more Biblical apologists like Steven Meyer, and William Lane Craig( in my opinion weren't truly genuinely open without reservation when they were on his show.) Maybe having Frank Turek, or J. Warner Wallace on his show.
I think having John Lennox, Frank Turek or even Lee Strobel himself. I personally think Frank Turek with a good 2 to 3 hours would break it right down. He might not even need that much time to do that.
@@trunorsemencrafts1369 And Hugh Ross, another astrophysicist. Also, what do you do with timeline's, Jesus' prophesies about the temple being torn down, and Bible prophecy in Jeremiah, Ezekiel, that Israel will be a nation again and they will come from all over the world.
Praise Jesus!
Wish someone would actually go on JRE who can actually make a case.
“500 people saw him.”
Joe: “people see Mary in grilled cheese.”
500 people can’t hallucinate the same thing. People believe in miracles in order to disprove another miracle they don’t want to believe.
Christianity if false is of no importance and if true of infinite importance, the only thing it can’t be is moderately important. …. C.S. Lewis
Then C.S. Lewis went on to convert to Christianity in 1931 :)
“When the whole world is running towards a cliff, he who is running in the opposite direction appears to have lost his mind.”

Same thing can be said about other religions though, and you followed the wrong religion and it can be detrimental for the other religion that happens to be the true one
@@allenchang6185 that’s the whole point of Lewis’s quote, you can insert any religion into the quote and it’s still saying the same thing. I choose to say Christianity because I believe it’s the correct one.
@@justinhampton3544 yea It’s just some people tell others that there’s no risk of following but there’s risk of going to hell if it’s true therefore people should follow isn’t really making their cases, cause you can still go to different hell/bad afterlife for following the Christianity too if other religion is true, so I’d say risk is just as high follow or not
Poor Joe Rogan, modern day Pontius Pilot "what is truth?"
And Jesus comes up literally 3-4 times a month for months on Joe’s show..
Maybe someone is trying to get your attention Joe
Have Lee Strobel in the show
Yes!!
The question I would ask… is if the Apostles stole the body and it’s a lie…. How many people will die the way they died for a lie?
That many people, someone would have caved.
agree the deaths were gruesome
Joe says resurrection is highly improbable. That’s the point though, it’s a miracle. If it were probable, it wouldn’t be a miracle.
Or the apostles just stole the body to keep their fame and fortune running deep.. kinda how Peter became the most famous member of the Catholic Church. He created and perverted “catholicism” to his own political ideologies he could use to control people. Just as all the rest did. They clearly disagreed on way to many things for there to be a coherent message
It’s annoying when Joe keeps trying to dismiss Jesus or talks about people that lived around that time like they were stupid and didn’t know what they were witnessing.
He's dismissing the supernatural aspect, not that Jesus never existed.
@@styx87 he’s dismissing them like they’re idiots and dont know what they saw or witnessed .. tell me who would die horrible deaths if they weren’t convinced what they saw was real ? But , nah, you know.. “ppl see the virgin Mary in grilled cheese sandwiches “ what a dumb comparison

He never existed.
We have to remember that Chris is a comedian and although i'm not saying comedians cant be theologists or apologists of Christianity - we can see here that Chris is not the best suited to articulate but, his efforts are definitely appreciative none-the-less. Joe needs to get a real apologist/theologian like Dr. Frank Turek on there.
If anyone could show 100% undeniable proof, it would remove the need for Belief. I think belief is the whole point, right? Faith.
You get it
True, true.
But we can also do some research in the search for truth. A lot of people dismiss Christianity without digging into it at all…. There’s a lot of spiritual apathy out there. Sad, but true.
Dr. Gary Habermas & Dr. Molly Worthen have UA-cam videos and have written books about the historicity of the resurrection.
Dr. Craig Keener did research on whether miracles are currently happening all over the world. He wrote a book on it (Miracles Today).

Joe doesn't understand that most of life goes along where everything seems to happen naturally but there are times that God steps in a supernatural way.
And as an edit: when Joe moved to Texas he stated that whatever Texas is doing to make it great, that's what I want keep doing it and he immediately goes off on his child getting taught about Christ in school and says that he doesn't want his kid being taught that.
Well, you don't want what made Texas great after all.
Uh.. or the gun laws, self defense laws, taxes, etc. trust me God has NOTHING to do with Texas being great. If anything there’d just be more rape crimes from priests molesting them
One important thing about the tomb that wasn't mentioned, was that the tomb was being guarded by Roman soliders, day and night when the tomb was found empty. If the disciples or anybody else came and stole the body, the soliders would've seen/stopped them.
So many people keep claiming this like it's factual... Almost all historians disregard the notion that "Romans were guarding the tomb".
@@Ryan88881 the historians weren't there, at the time of these events, but we have 4 different accounts from people who were actually there. The same 4 who were later put to death in a brutal fashion, nobody would die a brutal death for a lie, let alone 4 different people for the same lie.
@@smokinjoe90 The fact that you think they would die a brutal death even if it WAS real says it all because that premise still makes absolutely no sense.

I wanna see Joe talk about the 42 laws of Ma'at from ancient Egypt. Then talk to me about Jesus.
What would the 42 Laws of Ma'at have to do with Jesus? Genuinely asking.
6:50 so mass hallucinations is the explanation. SMH. People don't die for hallucinations. And people won't die for something they know to be a lie.
I use that analogy all the time. People believe the history of Alexander the Great or Spartan lifestyle over Jesus.
It comes down to the extraordinariness of the claims and stories about them. An outlandish claim about Alexander is believable because it’s fun to believe and otherwise has little to no bearing on our lives. However, the outlandish claims about Jesus are apparently the most important facts about history (if true).
Chris kept talking about how 500 people saw Jesus resurrect. Do we have their names and proof of their existence? Did they all write it down? No and no… the only support comes from the Bible and literally nowhere else.
@maddhopps there's plenty of support for it other than the Bible. Alexander is no more fun to believe than Jesus 🤣 you can't speak for everybody on that one. Unless you're just speaking for atheists.
Cities were constructed and named after the conquest of Alexander the Great.
@Christoph-hc2xr great so we believe that but not Jesus? How about the Spartans leaving a new born baby out in the woods to be exposed to cold, hunger and predators. Of course we are expected to believe that because the ones who "survived" could be deemed fit for Spartan culture. Stuff of legend of course.
@@zacharyoverlien6050 I don't know anyone claiming legendary tales about Sparta are historical, except you. The story of Jesus is also fictional.
300 years after Jesus died, people were wearing coins on necklaces of Alexander the great
"The likelihood of someone coming back to life is very low..." That's the point. If God were to come down how else would he prove himself as God? If not to bend the laws physical laws that he made?
What Jesus didn't bend was the metaphysical laws that he made, morality for instance. Those laws he did not bend but rather obeyed perfectly because we weren't able to, in order that we might live as someone who did. That's why he died.
But it's crazy people believe just cause and live there life based of stuff 2000 years ago. Completely mind boggling. My favorite anti religion line is " how fortunate you were born into the country you are, that you were born into the right religion" . Lol that always cracks me up. Every Christian just knows it's the right one , just like every Muslim knows it's the right one , just like every , hindu or every religion from every part of the world feels just like you do now. My religion is right yours is wrong. " How fortunate you were born into the right country at the right time "
U have a valid point. How do we know something is true, just because our parents told us or because we were raised that way?
The point is… we don’t…
Unless we do some research on our own. Most people don’t.
Dr. Gary Habermas & Dr. Molly Worthen have UA-cam videos and wrote books about the historicity of the resurrection.
Dr. Craig Keener did extensive research on whether or not miracles are happening today all over the world. He wrote a book on it (Miracles Today).
Nabeel Qureshi was a devout Muslim who used to debate Christians and point out the “flaws” in their faith. Since most of those Christians only had superficial knowledge, he ripped them to shreds. But when he went to the university (on his way to becoming an MD), he met a Christian who had much deeper knowledge. They had many debates, and over time and after doing a lot of digging, Nabeel became convinced that Jesus truly was the son of God and that Christianity was true. He also has a lot of UA-cam videos out there.
All of these are very informative….
And pretty darn cool. 👍
Moses was raised by the daughter of the Pharoah in Egypt. He was fluent in multiple languages and could write also. Not only that Israelites weren't illiterate either. Abram came from UR of the Chaldees in Mesopotamia and knew multiple languages. He would of had to to communicate with other tribes like those around Sodom and Gemorah. His descendants went to Egypt where Moses was born.
So the idea of them passing it down by word is an odd one.
The first autobiography on Alexanda may of been years after his death but he was wrote about during his own lifetime especially by his enemies
So was Jesus......🤦♂️🤣
@@boojeboy1 I wasn't saying he wasn't? Just that Alexander was famous during his lifetime so to make out that someone made stuff up 2 hundred years later isn't telling the whole truth.

No doubt that Jesus was a real person. Not dure why its even discussed. Real question is was he just a guy or the son of God
He was our brother. In my belief I’m not into or don’t care the Abrahamic religions. They were made to divide in my opinion into 3 hence the father son and Holy Spirit

People don't die for a lie the way the Apostles were so eager and willing to go down if they knew they were personally being deceptive regarding what happened to Christ. Then there's the matter of Paul who was not a fan of Christians at first who then converted and witnessed these things.
Rogan also contradicts himself when he says they most likely stole the body, but are willing to then believe claims people saw Christ out of desperation? They have His body so they're not believing that either so those two arguments are not compatible unless they were thinking they saw Jesus in spirit form only but then there's the matter of them being deceptive again with their resurrections story knowing what Jesus said about the liar and the deceiver of truth.
Two thumbs up Chrissy D!
How many times has this happened in history; Longtime entrenched regime always being jerks to their revolting peasants. One revolting peasant gets uppity about it, has a charismatic/incendiary soapbox moment. The other revolting peasants pick that revolting peasant as their revolting leader and revolting peasants start revolting en masse. Entrenched regime is brutal and doesn’t like revolting peasants revolting. That most revolting peasant gets the kibosh, remembered in poetry/songs/etc., and usually forgotten about after enough time has passed.
Unfortunately, this go-round with that type of scenario, the Romans continued to be d*cks to their revolting peasant population for hundreds of years, so that particular peasant’s hero-legend continued into myth and lore to provide hope for every believer to endure horrible treatment. Unfortunately, unlike other hero-peasant stories that have fallen by the wayside, later on they use this peasant and his “words” as their justification to really f”ck up humanity in general.
The End

I’ve read the book. He’s right, without a Christian angle, the book proves 100% that Christ lived, etc…
The Alexander the Great twist is that, without him having conquered the known world “PRIOR” to Christ, everyone would have not known the same language.
I don't know why everybody has to shit on Jesus, he was a righteous dude. Looking at the comments it makes sense to why they crucified him.
They hate Christians and Christianity. But amazingly they don’t have the same criticism or vitriol for Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism....🙄

Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. It’s a great overview/intro to the topic.
Ive read over 50 apologetic books. Go for ‘cold case Christianity’ by wallace or ‘i dont have enough faith to be an atheist’ by Geisler. The Strobel book is very good. It is quite popular. The ones i mentioned are infinitely better.
Where did Jesus go after his resurrection? It's he still here? Is he coming back? What's he been up to?
I just think it’s funny how people believe that there was a random “big bang” that just randomly occurred for no reason and that was able to create a planet that just happens to be the perfect environment for human being to survive. That it has a sun which is just apparently some random star and a moon that orbit around this planet regulating the temperature and the tides. People believe all of that just happened randomly? It seems to me much more believable that there was a architect behind these things.
Kudos!
Yes.. and it just so happens to be that the sun and moon, although vastly different in size, are exactly the same size when viewed from earth (as is apparent in an eclipse) because they just happen to be "placed" at perfect distances from us in some crazy happy coincidence.

Ok let me enlighten y'all.... Jesus is a vampire
God bless you, Chris :) P.S. Rogan is misapplying the word "logic" here. Charitably assuming he means actual logic and not just his own very subjective notion of what 'common sense' is, there are only two kinds of logic: Deductive (reasoning from all to some) and Inductive (reasoning from some to all). And neither form of logic categorically rules out a miracle (e.g. the Resurrection) unless the speaker imports a hidden premise, e.g. "I am starting from a belief system that holds that miracles are categorically impossible." Sure, if you start with a categorical disbelief in miracles and are not open to changing your mind based on new evidence presented about miracles, you'll find a way to say that your "logic" chain always closes in a direction that precludes miracles. But that's only circular reasoning, i.e. "I don't believe in miracles because I don't believe in miracles." You can't break out of that kind of circular reasoning unless you're willing to re-examine your premises and consider that maybe a fair assessment of new evidence actually justifies modifying one of your foundational premises.
Joe, you would have a GREAT episode on your hands if you brought in Jimmy Akin, of Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World. :) The guy is head of Catholic apologetics (i.e. Catholic dot com), and he has a super fun podcast examining all sorts of mysteries, from true crime to supernatural to psychic phenomena. And he's an actual original in that he doesn't reflexively believe things, OR disbelieve things. He examines the evidence in each case and thinks it through, allowing himself to be surprised or disappointed one way or the other. @@highpriestofgavinalmightyh1304 Then thats positive evidence along with geological evidence, time and place, church fathers, gospels of similar perspectives, etc. There's more evidence pointing towards than there is pointing away from. Especially, in relation with historical aspects that live outside of the biblical scripture lined up to the timeline. I think the hard part that people cant get passed is that there was an immaculate conception and that there was a resurrection from death. Both instances are incredibly improbable if not impossible and thats why the explanation is Divine, miracle - supernatural. Human beings who havent gone through all of the evidence cannot comprehend such an event without having to of been there physically.
@@trunorsemencrafts1369 to come to that conclusion, you had to ignore everything laid out.
Even when we take translations of the Bible from over 600 years ago that were written in the old English prior to the modern English of 1611, texts convey different meanings.
Then there is the issue that Protestants and Catholics can’t agree on the authenticity of certain texts.
I’m fine with you liking the Bible (which ever version) as it is written today, but there is no need to resort to intellectual dishonesty to try and claim that a copy of a copy of a copy of an interpreted copy of a reinterpreted copy of a copy is 90 something percent unchanged from original texts we don’t even have according to “scholars“ most cannot even name.
That doesn’t even get into the problem of interpolation overtime which is entirely distinct from interpretation.
Generations of people who never wrote anything down listened intently to and repeated fantastical stories. It is still a colossal game of telephone, and in eras before mass literacy.
We see discrepancies between the version of the Bible considered canon today, and the oldest copies of copies we have in possession of the original manuscripts.
We have dogmatically opposing interpretations of the Bible because the Bible was written by largely anonymous authors who lived at different times, and the various books of the Bible are copies of copies of copies of copies translated over and over again into multiple languages.
We have copies of copies of the Hindu Vedas. They have lasted up til today, and they pre-date Christianity and Judaism. Does that make them true?
Comparing copies of copies of copies does nothing but give us different perspectives on those copies. It also helps inform us of the misspellings, grammatical errors, and outright changes made throughout the copying process.
The Codex Sinaiticus is one of the oldest Bible manuscripts in existence (the other being the Codex Vaticanus).
It was produced in about the 4th century AD.
In addition to missing several books of the Old Testament, the New Testament has additional books: the Shepherd of Hermas, and the Epistle of Barnabas.
This demonstrates that in the mid-4th century when the codex was produced, those books were considered canon by many Christians.
While the Christian canon was forming, there were still differences of opinion on what was “God’s word” and what wasn’t.
That’s kinda how God works tho, he defies all logic. He is above all. Out side of space and time and the laws of physics. He is all powerful so resurrection would not be off limits. Things that are impossible for us to understand and do are nothing for God. He’s God. God. He can literally do anything because he is literally God. That’s the explanation. You can’t have a scientific or logical explanation. Well actually, the logic being, that he is God so he can do anything. That is the most logical explanation. We cannot resurrect from the dead, but God can. And that’s it. End of story. Either you accept that or you don’t. But remember, if you decide to live your live separate from God then don’t be surprised when he grants you that wish once you die. Eternity just is. There is no more time in eternity. That concept is gone. So choose wisely.
You're brainwashed
amazing god u got there
25 million children under 5 die every year . Most of them are in the " wrong religion" , out of 7 to 8 billion people the vast majority of them are not Christian, and according to your beliefs. The vast majority of them are going to hell when they die for no fault of their own for just being born in the wrong part of the world. If you think that is right and ok then you are blind
@@xxtoxii9615 Yes, yes he is. The absolute best.
Faith people
my eyes glaze over listening to Christians. Its like listening to children talk about Santa Clause or the Easter bunny.
Seriously. You can hear that this clown knows he never existed, lol.
A big difference is that I know the latter aren't real, because I AM Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.
Christ Arose... He arose and they suffered rather than renounce him. They happily marched towards suffering, torture and death rather than renounce a risen Jesus Christ. Hallelujah i believe!
Roman, Jewish, Greek and Arabs all wrote historically relatable accounts of Jesus even if they didn't believe
They repeated heresay.
And?
lol no. name one example. i'll wait.
I love this show. Even when the conversation is this absurd and ridiculous haha
Have you checked out Dr. Gary Habermas or Dr. Molly Worthen?
They have lots of UA-cam videos and have written books on the historicity of the resurrection.
Pretty informative.
Proverbs 3:5
Wow, there’s so many people in this comment section that still believe in Jesus and God. God is real. God bless you all brothers and sisters.
He’s getting all of his information from the Bible. There isn’t any other information about Jesus outside of the Bible that’s what the main problem is. When he keeps the Roman’s say this and the Roman’s said that they said it in the bible
Thats not true at all. Read the Case for the Christ!
Precisely. It's all bs from the Bible and heresay hundreds of years later, lol.
Never happened.
Check out what Dr. Gary Habermas (historian) has to say about the historical data concerning the resurrection. Pretty cool. He has lots of UA-cam videos and has written books.
There is a lot of data outside of the Bible. And even atheist historians believe certain things inside the Bible are historically accurate and valid (and have nothing to do with a particular faith or belief).
@@MrCoolBeans-jg7dc lol, false. It's all fiction.
If only he knew scripture to correlate it with that book he could have explained everything perfectly to Joe. In due time, In due time.
If one of the stories about Alexander the Great was that he died and came back to life, I would immediately doubt it, along with most of the other stories written about him, just like I do with the Bible. That’s a horrible example.
Lol but there are occurrences when people and babies are pronounced dead and then with no possible explanation they become alive. The fact that Joe is so definitive about this but everything else is so unknown is kind of funny.
Of course, he was REAL. With a BIG family, & powerful connections, inc.int'l TRADER of tin & copper, Sanhedrin member: Joseph of Arimathea. Mary of Magdala was VERY well off, as well. 1st century Emperor Domitian issued a decree that his bloodline was to be extinguished. N.B. It is said the order was NEVER rescinded.
You gotta check with the Quran says about Jesus too, it’s very interesting.
Another work of fiction, lol.
Nabeel Qureshi was a devout Muslim (who had devout Muslim parents who were missionaries for Islam). He used to debate Christians and point out all the “errors” in their faith. Since most of these Christians only had superficial knowledge of the Bible, they looked ignorant and foolish.
But, when Nabeel went to college (on his way to becoming an MD), he met a Christian guy who had extensive knowledge. They had many debates and discussions. Little by little, Nabeel became convinced that Jesus really was the son of God and that the gospel of Christianity was the truth.
But changing faiths from Islam to Christianity is not easy at all. Muslims look at someone who leaves the faith as an apostate: like a disgusting traitor, and they are basically kicked out of their society. Even their parents turn their backs on them. The Koran even says they should be killed. Wow.
Check out his UA-cam videos…. Like his testimony. Very enlightening!
Good luck on your spiritual journey, my friend!
Read “I See Satan Fall Like Lightning” by Rene Girard. Jesus is the myth that was actually true.
No, God and the bible are two different things. If there is a creator of all things and our universe is a grand design ,do you not think God. Could create his own book? Seems like a simple task for a God.
Virtually all historians agree that Jesus was a real man that did all the things the Bible says he did. The spiritual side of things is where many of them would have an issue since you can't prove that through historical accounts. Besides the fact that the apostles were executed brutally and we know people don't willingly die like that for a lie.
Or that he argues for proof that 500 people saw Jesus. Yet, history is accepted if but a few are documented to have seen, heard or experienced an event. Joe knows that it's inevitable he will have to accept Jesus. Once you do that you have to clear the wreckage of your past to get right and review how you're currently living your life.
I feel like saintly people are aJesus resurrected
What’s unfortunate is that God is calling Joe Rogan but his heart is too hard to hear the call while Joe is simultaneously obsessed with longevity. Eternal life is being offered if only he would answer the knock. Joe is asking what is the logical answer, fair. However, what is reported in the life, death, and resurrection is an account of a supernatural event which broke the laws of nature. Why? The claim is that Jesus is the creator of all things, meaning he has the power and authority to heal the sick, give sight to the blind, and calm the storm just as the builder of a product understands how to diagnose and fix the issue when the product is broken. People claiming to see Mary in a burnt piece of toast is very different than people saying, we saw His resurrected body as well as sat with him while he had ate real food. Meaning, not a spirit but a body. Joe positions himself in these theological conversations with people who are babes in the faith and God bless them for trying their best. However, to have this debate, Joe would have to speak to someone who actually has studied the faith and can give an account for the objections Joe brings to the table. All of which have an answer. The Bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eye witnesses during the life time of other eye witnesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophesy and claim that their origin is Divine rather than human. I truly hope one day, with all Joe has been blessed with on this side of reality he gets to a point of understanding.
Aliens and UFOs are real and built the pyramids with ancient technology, but Jesus IMPOSSIBLE... WUT.
All of the evidences there. Joe just doesn't want to believe
Joe gets so angry about anyone believing in religion. Like he takes it so personal he has to talk down and condescend to anyone with different beliefs other than taking LSD and believing you're an interdimensional time traveler.
Santa Claus said hello
Back atcha from the Easter Bunny
Does Joe believe in god? Every time I hear him talk spiritually it’s always on the opposite side of trying to debunk it, but I’ve never heard him flat out say what he believes in.
I think he’s agnostic.

Fuck guys! I have absolute 💯 faith in Jesus, BUT have you ever heard of the shroud of Turin? That is like having the 🍒 on top for me! 😉🤣
It's fictitious because 1.) Magic isn't real. 2.) Man lies 3.)Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all have different accounts on the most important events.
Generally, if you're not knowledgeable in a subject or walk of life, don't speak on it. And if you want to know if magic is real, come down to West Africa, and live in a village (not a city) for one year; or find a colleague that has.
@@kolaayoola2941 Yes generally, your right. Why speak on a subject you're not knowledgeable about. Which makes absolutely no sense as to why you're not doing just that. Instead of trying to imply I don't know what I'm talking about when you obviously don't have any knowledge about it. Cognitive dissonance? Aka a religious mind not able to deal with facts that goes against what he was told to be true and not researching it.
Research, read for yourself in all four books and write down key details. There are plenty of discrepancies but these will prove my previous knowledgeable statement...
1.)When did the last supper take place?
2.) What were Jesus's last words
3.) What was discovered at Jesus's tomb and who discovered it? Who all were present?
And I know Magic isn't real. The laws of physics and common sense makes that perfectly clearl. But biology does explain why some people's brains allow them to believe in fantasies. Magic, the Supernatural, and God's. Or with Abraham a schizophrenic who heard voices, voices that became an invisible God, that 3 religions and billions of people worship today. Through mass murder, torture and the crusades Christianity was forced upon the world. Replacing, the man made God's that came before like the Greek God's Zues, hades etc. The Norse God's, Odin, Thor, Freya etc. The Egyptian God's, Ra, Seth, ISIS, Horus, etc.. So no magic in your village just simple minds of evolved Apes with no knowledge of Science and the evidence it discovers. Just animals who make their own reality and create "real" magic and create God's to pray to for rain or food. And ask for wishes like a genie....
Different perspectives of the account. Because there are differences in the account still does not disprove it occurred.
@trunorsemencrafts1369 Different perspectives? Point of view has nothing to do with it. When the supposedly Son of God, or God in a human form (funny, they couldn't agree on that either), is nailed to a cross, slowly dying. Everyone watching him will see, hear, and remember his last moments, his last words.
Yet Mark and Matthew described that he was scared and mad that God was just going to let him die... "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Mark 15:33-34
Luke described him on the cross as calm and forgiving. “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34)
No it doesn't prove that it didn't happen. It just implies that it's a fabricated story.
Will cost a fortune
So let me see if i didnt see him myself it didnt happen. This is called FAITH. im not at all religious but joe seems to forget they knew more about the universe in there time than should be possible.
Is this amateur hour? Alexander the Great's story isn't plagiarized from earlier texts for one. Also, Alexander is his name. Jesus is just completely made up. It's not a Hebrew translation or anything. Not to mention he was born of a virgin, walked on water, fed 5 THOUSAND people with 5 loaves and bread and 2 fish. I can go on and on. Believe in whatever you want but using what we know about the great and when his story was written as proof that Jesus was real is just ignorant. There's no correlation at all. Horrible example
Take a look at what Dr. Gary Habermas (historian and theologian) & Dr. Molly Worthen (professor of history) have to say about the historicity of the resurrection. They have UA-cam videos. Pretty informative.
They were both were originally atheist/agnostic, but after digging into it, they changed.
@@MrCoolBeans-jg7dc Well there were 16 so called Saviors before the story of the one on Nazareth so does it really matter which one you believe? The 16 previous ones all were supposedly born of a virgin, had 12 apostles, performed miracles, self proclaimed the son of God and rose from the grave after three days. If ALL of these so called Saviors have IDENTICAL stories of the one in Nazareth, how can you discredit them? Especially since these identical savior stories were BEFORE the one in Nazareth?
Why would it matter how far they are in science back then? Lol his argument has nothing to do with science, it's based off of historical records from competing sources. Whether or not they had microscopes has nothing to do with the conversation lol.
He’s not making the right argument for Jes Us being a historical person. There’s better arguments for it
Jesus could return today and announce himself and there would still be deniers
Sick border
I like Jesus.. but it's Christianity that does my head in..
Yeah, sometimes “Christianity” is not what it should be: different denominations, different church structures, rules. Also, some people who call themselves Christian act like jerks.
U hit the nail on the head: IT IS all about Jesus and accepting the gospel message: God’s love for us, Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross (on our behalf) for the forgiveness of sins, Jesus rising from the dead, salvation thru faith and trust in Christ…. And having a close personal relationship with Him.
That’s what a true Christian believes. He is so GRATEFUL for Jesus sacrificing himself on the cross for us… for being punished in our place for our sins, so that we don’t have to be punished. Jesus essentially “paid the price” & bought our ticket to Heaven by doing that. Wow… that is true love.
Then he holds that ticket out to us saying “I am who I say I am. I love u. Please accept this free gift. I can save u. Do u believe in me and trust me?”
The gospel message:
John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned…”
Well... the difference is that, because Alexander the Great was actually real, he left behind real evidence of his life and accomplishments. Numerous historical records, entire cities named after him, the spreading of the Greek language throughout Asia, the Hellenistic kingdoms that followed. I know science isn't really a Christian thing, but you can't compare obvious reality to scripture and some guy's book.
Thank you.
Jesus is real man!! Joe: " But God has chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise. And God has chosen the weak things of the world, to confound things which are strong." - 1 Corinthians 1:27. You're strong Joe, but God is stronger, and He's trying to show you that.
