Yo, engineer and Aerospace enthusiast here. The radiation in the Van Allen belts actually isn’t as strong as some believe. The radiation is UV which is extremely harmful but easy to block, in fact the particles can’t pass through a sheet of paper. Although yes a human in this region UNPROTECTED will most certainly die but let’s remember the astronauts were incased in a command module that was 3mm of aluminum which can easily block the UV radiation from entering the spacecraft. Now that being said they did fly through the weakest portions just in case and the spacecraft was designed to withstand the worst solar flare ever recorded at the time. The radiation was taken very seriously but it ended up not being that big of a deal and astronauts were even equipped with Geiger counters.

I'm a firm believer that woman in their 20s and 30s should have atleast a little public hair. Even if it's just a landing strip.
I mean, according to what I've researched. We went to the moon and then "lost" the technology to go back. Also, why hasn't any other first world country gone to the moon? We are not the only country with the tech and brain power to do it. I honestly have no idea if we went to the moon or if it was faked. I used to believe we went, but as I've gotten older and realized how much the government lies about things, it just has me questioning a lot of what they say happened vs what actually happened.
There is no reason to go back, every nasal mission has to have a certain return on investment, what would be the purpose? Especially considering the risk of loss of life as well as the financial cost, to do what? Get more moon rocks that are mostly made up of earths crust material.
@chrisjosekuehl you're right. Their is absolutely no strategical benefit of going back. I mean, a lunar base would from which would be to set up some type of research facility that is not beneficial AT all.

Like Jaimie is saying the moon lander is so shiny it’s going to bounce light off an object that creates a shadow bigger than that created by the sun? If Joe, like most Podcasters, host a Guest, it’s to ask smart questions and allow the Guest to share their opinions and views - it’s not debate or challenge Guests.
It’s up to the viewer to decide what they think, etc, and form their own opinions. (Obviously, Joe, like any host, are free to throw their own opinions in here & there if they want).
Now, it’s another question completely whether a Debate or challenging makes better content and/or is what some viewers want to consume - but, generally, that’s not the role of a Podcast host.
By your logic, virtually any Guest which Rogan has on - mainstream or alternative - there needs to be another person present to provide a counterpoint - that’s not a Podcast.

With regards to Kubrick and The Shining, the scene where Jack is writing 'All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy' was not in Stephen Kings original story and Kubrick added it himself. The theory goes that the way an old typewriter displayed 'All' looks remarkably like A11 (Apollo 11), giving another hint towards the moon landing and his involvement in it. Danny also wears a jumper with an Apollo 11 space rocket on it amongst other things. I go more with the theory that they did go to the moon but the footage was possibly faked because the originals got destroyed and damaged and they needed something to prove what they had done. NASA absolutely manipulates imagery and still do it to this day

Im glad Jamie stood up about the seemingly intersecting light sources. I would sooner suppose that there's more than one light source or that the sun is being reflected off of the lander than use the angles of the shadows to assume the whole thing was fake. Also, NASA doesn't release photos, they release images. A photo, image, and picture are all very different. They've even openly stated they have doctored images (from images in "space", images of the Earth, etc) in order for them to appear as a more accurate representation of the scene.
It saves a lot on cost too. You can get a higher resolution picture of earth with a low orbit satellite taking many pictures and then stitching or "photoshopping" them together for orders of magnitude cheaper than the enormous cost of sending a high orbiting satellite to snap a single photo.
if 1/4 of the military budget went to space travel we'd probably be colonizing mars at this point.

The way you guys conceive of "the government" is very black and white. There's a lot of space between loving the government, being skeptical of the government, and believing everything anyone with a position in a state funded organization says is a malicious lie because they're with "the government."
I honestly think a lot of these conspiracy theories are seeded on purpose by intelligence agencies, grifters and other bad actors. It's allowed to flourish because it doesn't actually challenge any system of power, but it allows people who are skeptical of Western institutions to flatter themselves as dissidents for believing the earth is flat and NASA is run by satanists. Stuff like that doesn't challenge anything important.

For the curious, 'steel manning' is when one presents the strongest opposing idea possible, this is done to cement the legitimacy of one's own argument. It's the opposite of 'straw manning' where one deliberately presents a weaker version of an opponent's argument, often to hide the legitimate points the opposition has.

The moon landing footage was broadcasted live as it was supposedly happening, so the argument that the footage was replaced later does not make any sense
This is how I know if im watching an episode. 1) go to the description 2)if it says the guest is a stand up comedian 3) I dont watch it

They looked very sheepish, body language, mannerisms. Zero confidence, all looking down. If I had to say, they looked like liars.
@@Nathan.007 I saw some footage from Apollo 13 that was similar, an astronaut had a messed up facial expression was basis for the claim the whole thing was an attention getting exercise. Then again, the moon shot boys were a bunch of wanna-be pioneering alpha dogs from a competitive, militaristic culture who knew full well they were just payload. There was no reason to put people on the moon while other people were hungry or getting shot in wars.
@@xyaeiounnI have watched so much on the fakery of space, with these astronauts all using harnesses. The blatant use of CGI. Just lazy. The reason that they wanted people to believe that they put people on the moon is to capture their minds. They want people to believe that they are insignificant. Small like a speck of dust in an ever expanding universe.
