+cougarhunter33 Have both. Carry the 19 almost all the time. Rarely carry the G43 but it is ideal for in the shorts with a light tee shirt in summer in simple FIST brand thin iwb kydex holster. PEARCE +1 grip for 8 rounds on board and additional 6 rd mag in front pocket. That said, I absolutely love the G19. And try to carry all the time...but sometimes...
+Marshall g17 g17 g26, all good glocks. Depends how you plan to use it most. Target practice, tactical shooting, recreational target practice, house protection, concealed carry etc. and how well do you shoot, And how many pistols do you intend on owning, and overall how much will you shoot it, . I find when there is something small, medium, and large. per say that everybody , even myself tries to buy the medium hoping it will fit the bill for all. But the fact is that rarely it does that. So keep that in mind. I started with a medium, g23, then bought a g27, then accidentally ran into a g22, g22 very used up but shoots OK price was cheap had a bunch of mags, so I bought it. (I did not need it).. so thats, medium, small, then large. I shoot them all periodically. but use them this way , g22 take for recreation to the range. g23 nightstand pistol, g27 gets carried. There is not much that I cannot do with the g27 that I can do with the others, and they are not near as concealable. If only allowed to keep one it would be the 27, if only two of the three would be 27 and the 23. I consider house protection, personal protection, a.k.a. concealability the most important of my firearms. there is less likely a situation that I will have to defend myself from zombies greater than 25 yards. (the model 27 I can consistently hit a loaf of bread, freestanding at 25 yards. the g22 would be a half loaf of bread. good luck. (note my examples are for the 40 caliber. ) If you are going to go to the baby glock, then you are better off staying in the 9mm category , baby 40 is a bit jumpy, for fast follow up shots one has to be coiled up like a snake, or locked arm like Hickok 45 does. .

i live in Maine, we can buy all of those, and we also have the new cc law, you dont need a license to conceal carry, so for law abiding carriers, like me, its nice. NO more harassment from police, even our state police voted yes on this. I just wanted to know, why are so many ppl against the glock? why the hate?
Hipster mentality sometimes. When something is used and favored by many, it usually gets an equal following of people not liking it too. But I remember one of my favorite metal band drummers saying something among the lines *you're not famous until someone hates you*.
I have both the 43 and the XDS 3.3 9mm, and it is noticeable having the 5oz difference, plus the weight of an extra round. Both guns are great. The XDS with upgraded internals is one of my favorite shooting small guns.
Excellent video! Great job with the comparison aspects. I think you've satisfied everyone's curiosity here regarding the 43. Glock should be praising you. Your influence alone will promote many sales. Keep up the great work!
Single stack glock vs the double stack glock is the deciding factor here. I think i will go with the glock 26 because I truly can't feel the slight differences in size and weight.

I used to carry a HK P30sk in 9mm but I recently switched over to the Glock 43 with night sights and now it feels like I’m not even carrying a firearm! Couldn’t be happier!
I carry the glock 43 on my hip in a leather holster that tucks up close and I barely feel it. It's very comfortable and as far as capacity i carry plus 2 mags which with my big hands help me get a good grip on this gun. I love this gun for conceal carry or on the belt owb. It could be used in any carry situation and be comfortable imo. Thanks Hickock 45 for doing what you do.
Just getting into gun ownership and after watching so many channels this one stays right at the top. Very well put together, not just some rant, a joy to watch. Just subscribed and thanks for all the info
If nothing else, that intro just killed me man. Best channel on youtube, by far, i don't know how you come up with this stuff, just keep doing what you're doing.
I like the 43, it's basically a single-stack 26. I can carry it places I'd otherwise be limited to an lcp. I have big hands, but find the 43 big enough and controllable.
I would love to have a model 43, unfortunately I have to live in the People's Republik of Kalifornia and the Morons running this state seem to think that only a police officer should have a gun like that. So, I just carry my model 26 and leave it at that. As for the pistol being low capacity, very rarely do gunfights go on and on with a high amount of ammunition being fired, especially for civilians that carry concealed. Not saying it can't or hasn't happened, just that it's rare and thank God for that. Most shootings that take place the total amount of rounds fired by both people put together is 4 to 8 rounds. The reason of course is no one wants to be shot. Not even bad guys. They don't want to be shot either. So, in reality, it's really not much of a disadvantage to only have 6 rounds plus one in the pipe. And most of us carry extra magazines. At least one anyway, so to me it's not an issue. Obviously this is my $0.02 cents worth and others may not see it that way. And I respect anyone's opinion on that. Everyone has what's acceptable to them and what isn't. For me though, if I can ever get my hands on a model 43, I'm going to have a new EDC gun on my side. Stay safe everyone, Michael Truhett U.S.C.G. Veteran Semper Paratus 🇺🇸
I'm looking for a pocket pistol that won't rust from my pocket sweat and is super reliable and will take any load. The only gun that fits the bill is the Glock 43. There are some guns I like better, but none that I trust in a real gun fight more than a Glock.
Wife's loves her new Glock 43. Super Perfect for conceal carry with lite clothing. I still use my old Browning HP from 1969 , Now with crimson laster grips! .
I'm liking this 43. I recently started carrying my trusty glock 27 again and it's such a powerhouse in such a small package & I really love it. Thing is I wear sweat pants mostly these days & carry it in a blackhawk plastic holster with 5 or 6 rds of hollow points to keep weight down low as possible. I think this glock 43 should be even better for my needs especially considering I'm not really concerned about the # of rds as long as I have 5 or more I'm happy since either a 9 or 40 is more powerful than 38 spl +p. I have been looking at the p111 G2 as well but have had such good reliability with my glocks and zero problems after I've put probably close to 2000 rds through it. Great video as always.
John Godden Thanks. Yeah, I'm hoping Bud's at least gets their money back on the guns, even after sending the 10% to Second Harvest. If that happens, it will definitely be a "win-win" for everybody.
I held one in Cabellas today and was very impressed. I have big hands but the gun fit nicely and the night sights were superb. It took a lot of will power to refrain from buying it today.
I think the glock 43 killed the 26 and 42. If you carry a 26 you might as well be carrying a 19, and why carry a 42 when for a slightly larger gun you can carry 9mm.
The 26 is not killed and never will be, due to the ability to use full size mags for reloads. The 26 is much shorter in the butt than the 19 - very significant for concealability.
@@ExVeritateLibertas I love it when these guys say this model killed that model 40 cal is dead blah blah blah. A gun is a gun, ive got bout every glock, and I love them all.
I have a 43, 26 and use to have a 19. There is nothing similar between the 26 and 19 so I'm not sure where that come from. Also, the 26 isn't going anywhere. The 43 is a great carry gun but I love the 26 too.
@@bryanroupe8646 a glock 26 is just about the perfect gun for conceal carry. Conceals great, and with federal +p hst it's not taking a back seat to anything.
The 26 if my favorite all around hand gun but for concealed carry I have been carrying the 43 since I bought it a few months ago. I'm 6' 210lbs and I can carry it in my pocket without alot of printing. But I choose to carry on my appendix/hip. It's hard to draw from the pocket for me.
Hey Hickok I have a Glock 43 and all I shoot is 115 green I’ve had the firearm for almost a year now and shoot it every day never had any problems. By the way I love your videos and watch every single one
my taran tactical +2 has really helped the confidence in the lack of capacity. and it adds just enough length to make the gun shoot way better, yet can still fit in your pocket.
You cannot even buy this model of Glock in California.... Unless you are law enforcement. This is the single stack model right? I do not understand why Cali allows a 5 shot j frame but not this? Both very concealable?
I don't know why people complain about capacity for a conceal carry gun. I think some people don't understand the concept about self defense. The whole purpose of self defense is to be able to put space or get away from an attacker. You shouldn't need more than 7 rounds. I bought the Glock 43 and am very satisfied with it.
Great video. Very helpful. I own a Glock 26 and I was thinking about getting a Glock 43 but your video showed me that I wouldn't really see an advantage in the purchase. Thanks again.
Just want to pass something on about carrying. When on the belt, you say it doesn't matter and you can carry a big, heavier, gun.....which is true if you don't have severe back problems like I have. I can honestly tell and feel the difference with my bad back the difference in 4, 5, or so ounces. My back is really severe and I have to carry a lighter gun whether it's in my pocket or on my belt. Just thought I'd pass this on. Not too many people have a severe, bad, back like I do, but there are some of use that have to really consider the weight of the gun for carry. Thanks and keep up the good work, my friend.
Hey, Thanks for Saying what camera it is! I love it :D I can see that the camera rekord in 50 Fps, what setings did you use filming this video and uploading it ? :)
I have an old Smith 3914 that was the original single stack carry gun its probably 25 years old if not more , I love it, so reliable, that's an 8 + one in the tube, with the 43 you're getting the same amount of rounds with the extender.
I love my Glocks but I'm having a hard time justifying the G43 over my LC9s. If the Ruger's trigger wasn't so nice I might be swayed to pay the money and sacrifice the one round, but I like 7 rounds and there's hardly anything to complain about with the LC9s (other than that I don't have the Pro model).
***** luckily you don't have the original with all the CA compliance safeties! FYI the Ruger has after market 9round mags, I expect the Glock will have them soon! You can buy the mags from Ruger with a double mag holder! it works out great, carry the 2 extended mags in the mag holster/der and carry the LC9 with the small magazine! if you shop around you can find them cheaper than Ruger's sight!
***** I love my Glocks as well. I love my Ruger LC9s Pro a little more. That trigger is beautiful and it was laser accurate right out box. Mostly due to the trigger. Like you, I can not justify purchasing the Glock 43....... other than just wanting it. And I do.
robert h Ya I actually got rid of my 9 round mags for it. I find they feel weird in the gun and obviously I wouldn't use one while the gun is holstered because it would defeat the size advantage. When I'm carrying the LC9s I just carry a spare 7-round mag in my pocket.
***** yea, my double mag holder is normally under the couch! LOL It is comfortable to wear, but it is the first thing to come off when I want to relax! Have you had any problem rounds? Federal HST has been good so far, with100rnds & no Failures! & it seems like they eat up all the plinking 9mm! I have a box of cheap Winchester HPs to test, but I think they should be fine too!
robert h I doubt you'll have trouble with any HP rounds once it's broken in. I had some feed issues at first but they smoothed out by the 300 round mark. I'm using ASYM SDX (same thing as Corbon DPX, but loaded 50fps slower). If it feeds that it'll feed any relatively normal HP rounds. The SDX and DPX use the TAC-XP bullet which is solid copper and longer than any of the JHP rounds you'll find. It also has a wide hollow point cavity. Basically it's a worst case round for feeding and it works fine.

"Cant go back to the table with a loaded magazine" Love that mentality. Hickok is my long lost Grandpa i believe.
Sir I want to thank you for donating to second harvest food bank. They changed my life, love your videos by the way.
I almost bought one of these Friday. Changed my mind midway through the paperwork and went with a 19 instead.
+cougarhunter33 .................good move the 19 is the best
+cougarhunter33 Have both. Carry the 19 almost all the time. Rarely carry the G43 but it is ideal for in the shorts with a light tee shirt in summer in simple FIST brand thin iwb kydex holster. PEARCE +1 grip for 8 rounds on board and additional 6 rd mag in front pocket.
That said, I absolutely love the G19. And try to carry all the time...but sometimes...
+Me the g19 is my favorite gun I would never trade that bad boy...that is my go to gun if there ever a problem....
Good move, but down the road you will buy this one too...lol
(the model 27 I can consistently hit a loaf of bread, freestanding at 25 yards. the g22 would be a half loaf of bread. good luck. (note my examples are for the 40 caliber. ) If you are going to go to the baby glock, then you are better off staying in the 9mm category , baby 40 is a bit jumpy, for fast follow up shots one has to be coiled up like a snake, or locked arm like Hickok 45 does. .
New camera? Higher res? Magnificent!
geodiscobowl And don't forget that 60fps action!!
mindsmirror Yup. Fps is what breaks the deal. Two same videos, one 60fps, one not, well suffice to say that once you see the 60fps you don't go back.
geodiscobowl At first I thought I had too many beers but found there were still 6 left in the 12 pack... It takes some getting used to, my new tv took me a long time. everything seems so fast and there is a huge divide between the foreground and the background. I like it, but its getting into that range of freakishly high def. I dont want to see hickoks pores... no offense hickok45
aserta but I thought you couldn't see above 30 fps? #PCMASTERRACE
now thats what i like to HEAR I BOUGHT A LG 60 INCH 3D SMART FLAT SCREEN I LOVE MY TV THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE 4KS CAME OUT THE PICTURE ON MY TV IS AWSOME ITS GOOD TO ERE WHAT YOU HAVE SAID ON YOUR COMMENT IT REASSURES ME THAT I HAVE NOT BIN RIPPED OFF.
I really wanna try mine on a range like that! Really gotta have respect for this guy for taking the time to go through the process with you.
Love my 43, have yet to modify anything but the amount of upgrades I see is exciting!
i live in Maine, we can buy all of those, and we also have the new cc law, you dont need a license to conceal carry, so for law abiding carriers, like me, its nice. NO more harassment from police, even our state police voted yes on this. I just wanted to know, why are so many ppl against the glock? why the hate?
Hipster mentality sometimes. When something is used and favored by many, it usually gets an equal following of people not liking it too. But I remember one of my favorite metal band drummers saying something among the lines *you're not famous until someone hates you*.
lady_karen
Because they are stupid
People hate it czu it’s not made in America.
Used to hate Glock, couldn't get past the trigger. Till I bought one.... Now I own 5 of them:D
The dual wielding at the intro--awesome. This was the piece my wife chose for her carry permit weapon.
Single stack glock vs the double stack glock is the deciding factor here. I think i will go with the glock 26 because I truly can't feel the slight differences in size and weight.
This is the guy I watch if I am considering a purchase. He knows his stuff and he seems to be honest. He has the best firearms reviews on UA-cam.
Best channel on UA-cam. Thank you Hickock for all you do. Seems like a genuine first class man.
Best quality camera I've seen on UA-cam
Remind me never to try to trespass on his property lol
He does have a video about that.
Friendly reminder 4 years later - never try to trespass on this mans property.

"I have a shotgun! Haha let me prove it!"
damn i love watching 1080p at 60 fps on my computer screen!!!! I LOVE IT!!! PLEASE keep making your videos like this!!!
PS CANT WAIT to get my hands on the g43.
***** We bought a new camera. Future videos will be recorded in 60P; however, you'll see quite a few here and there that are in the video bank.
hickok45 That camera is excellent. Do you mind me asking which one it is?
hickok45 60fps strong! :D
386Outdoors hickok45 I'd like to know too
***** yea man usually live video doesn't look that much better in 60fps, but because of the nature of the ballistics etc. being shown it looks phenomenal. The way the targets explode and the case ejects looks that much better in 60fps. Keep doing 60 FPS!!! Love it.
The Shield 9 is a superb gun too. Thank you for mentioning! I have no complaints with mine at all.
I'd give almost anything to spend a day with this guy, something in his eyes says he has a wild amount of wisdom to share. Plus I've heard time and time again hes got the exact personality in person he does on his channel.
It seems like an incredible self protection gun!
GOD BLESS TEXAS!!!(and Tennessee)
Rusty Shackleford God bless us all

Hickock 45 the master of lame jokes
I admit i laugh at most of them
I used to carry a HK P30sk in 9mm but I recently switched over to the Glock 43 with night sights and now it feels like I’m not even carrying a firearm!
Now, it's a wild guess, but something tells me this pleasant old man is particularly fond of Glocks.
Just a hunch.
TehSalomon Ever older people dont like being called old.Thats rude.
John Johnson he looks quite well for having fought in the Civil War.
TehSalomon Not cool man. Hickock45 shares a lot of info on a lot of different guns but yes he likes the Glock. Be respectful Hickock45 is the Awesome!

Just got one of these today my first Glock
Your production quality is as great as your reviews. Keep up the great work!
Watched a lot of videos about the 43 and this is by far the best review out there.
Just getting into gun ownership and after watching so many channels this one stays right at the top. Very well put together, not just some rant, a joy to watch. Just subscribed and thanks for all the info
But Hickok I need 17+1 to walk my dog through my $700,000 suburban development...
Funny, I recon now carrying one in your local king sooper ain’t so funny now eh?
What do you mean I thought private security or rent a cops in your private gated community will keep you safe.
Got a 23 and 27, love them! Taking a hard look at the 43. Love the videos. Great reviews, thanks Hickok!
I still love the G23. Is perfect for me.
Stay safe everyone,

Michael Truhett they let you carry a 26 but not 43??
thank you for your service
@@younggun5915 yup that's beacause cali only allows 3rd gen glocks
That is pretty dumb. Why only 3 gen glocks ?
@@bryanroupe8646 that's just the law down there
Got to have a 43 26 and 19 in the collection
I'm looking for a pocket pistol that won't rust from my pocket sweat and is super reliable and will take any load. The only gun that fits the bill is the Glock 43. There are some guns I like better, but none that I trust in a real gun fight more than a Glock.
What are you doing in your pockets that make them sweaty?!
I would love to enjoy anything as much as hickok enjoys shooting.. Such a legend.
I forgot about his channel until my instructor referred to his UA-cam channel....luv this guy
The greatest carry gun ever created!
John's synopsis at the end is identical to my thinking on the 43: "a good holster gun for lazy people." lol, yep
Ive seen some of your old videos just to compare and OH MAN it seems like you've gotten younger, not joking
Preet Singh UA-cam money, lmfao!
Man, the 60fps and quality are so nice.
Crazy clean video!!!
THANKS also for the Food bank auction
John Godden Thanks. Yeah, I'm hoping Bud's at least gets their money back on the guns, even after sending the 10% to Second Harvest. If that happens, it will definitely be a "win-win" for everybody.
hickok45 Im betting they will do very well.
hickok45 YOU PUT YOUR NAME ON IT AND ITS $$$$$$$ That is going to a good place..
THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR SON
John Godden I was going to say the exact same thing; just in the first 3 seconds I noticed it! Wonder what kind of camera he's using?
drizzt94720 Seems to be a steadicam mount for sure! Maybe 48-60 fps too?
I'm adding a Taran Tactical + 2 base plate.
I held one in Cabellas today and was very impressed. I have big hands but the gun fit nicely and the night sights were superb. It took a lot of will power to refrain from buying it today.
This guy might be the nicest gun owner ever. He should really be a role model for the community.
I love my G43, and am proud to be Austrian :-)
So glad this channel is back
Hey Hickok I have a Glock 43 and all I shoot is 115 green I’ve had the firearm for almost a year now and shoot it every day never had any problems.
+Milton Yee Come on now; you should be thankful that your politicians and "busy body" citizens are making your life safe for you. :-)
+Milton Yee Becouse Arnold never had any magazines :-)
+Milton Yee Condolences on living in Commiefornia. I'm afraid you're not going to find much logic there.
what?! why couldn't you buy this in CA? its less than 10 rds. what crazy rule is the 43 violating????
Mark Becker You can't reason with crazy.
Rather have 7 rounds on me ready to go than 15 at home.
For someone who's Father is in Heaven , thanks for being a real Father figure that someone can actually look up to.
Yeah he literally reminds me of my dad, he’s so cool and collective
@Mr wick no man he went to heaven to grab a few beers, he will be back asap
For me - if you ever seen one Glock - you have seen all of them.
Interesting how he seems to be *much* more accurate with the 43 than the 42.
My favorite carry. Reliable and compact....Glock
I’ve watched many gun reviewers on UA-cam! But this guy is the best out there! He gets straight to the point! 👌😎👍
I'm not even a gun owner I'm just intrigued by the history, and mechanics of guns. Plus some great commentary is always fun
New camera looks great.
Hey, Thanks for Saying what camera it is! I love it :D
I can see that the camera rekord in 50 Fps, what setings did you use filming this video and uploading it ? :)
A Single Stack 10mm and .357 Sig would be the bomb!
I’m in love with this glock
Yes! I love your videos! I've had my 43 for 3 years it's still AMAZING!!!
I have an old Smith 3914 that was the original single stack carry gun its probably 25 years old if not more , I love it, so reliable, that's an 8 + one in the tube, with the 43 you're getting the same amount of rounds with the extender.
I was interested in the 43 until I heard about the p30sk. Now I can't wait for that one!
I would love a VP-9 compact!
Yup I agree with Gib... If they made a VP9 The size of the Glock 19 I will be all over that. I love my VP9's so much.
I would love to get my hands on one of those 43.
LOL
It is comfortable to wear, but it is the first thing to come off when I want to relax!
Man this guys accuracy is unreal. Espdciallg with this small pistols. Hickok 45 is the man. Definitely influenced my first pistol buy and it wasnt a glock. Great unbiased reviews
Taurus PT 709 Slim is only striker fire you haven't reviewed. Poor man's Glockoff. $249 at Buds Guns. My life is incomplete until you sound the gong!
