An extended stay at the Henna Hotel must be an introvert's dream and an extrovert's nightmare. 😆 The video really piqued my interest--I'd love to stay there for a couple of nights while exploring the theme park, just as you and Satoshi did. It looks efficient, clean, and peaceful, and I assume there's human staff available in case anything breaks down. Thankfully, this isn't Westworld or Futureworld --no robots going haywire and murdering customers. 😂
I don't think the robots are vital in the checkin/checkout processes. They seem to be basic animatronic statues, just for the novelty factor. Surely they don't have any intention to kill the customers 😄
We REALLY wanted to hear the dinosaur receptionist make dinsaur sounds instead of speaking Japanese, breakfast looked good too. The beer glass thing was weird . STill a very interesting concept. Thank you for sharing.
Always great to see Huis Ten Bosch! And now I'm convinced that if i ever get to go I should stay at Hen na--all my introvert stress from crowds at a theme park can be alleviated by the wonderfully quiet robot hotel. (Though I'd avoid Yumeko. Too uncanny valley.) And I'll leave the natto for you--i can't stand the texture.
15:00 Yes! It took me years to finally enjoy it. First time having it in Japan I thought the restaurant must have made a mistake for serving me a rotten food and I couldn't eat it. Natto really has an acquired taste. I am so loving it now, though!
If it wasn’t for that other hotel on the left from your view, I would really think that you’re in a futuristic sci-fi movie from like the 60s. So cool!!
7:47 Is there a US Military Base near there? That music playing in the background, is unmistakable. I hear it all the time when I work at Pearl Harbor.
Wow so amazing Japan always on top of electronic there so creative in beautiful hotels and places in everything they do one day I'll visit there to see beautiful Japan love it🙂
From watching you guys visit the theme park inspired by the Netherlands, I knew exactly where the show took place when I watched the Japanese game show called , Run for the money ,on Netflix ,me and my son loved watching that show
One thing good Japan ppls are very honest, helpful and clean I love Japan I’m going visit again views stunning Hotel very clean love it❤ thank you happy holiday 🙏🏼🌹🇺🇸🎄
I would totally choose the dinosaur! In some cases (like when dealing with credit card issues) I hate having to deal with machines and want to speak to a person but it looks like they anticipated guests' every need at this hotel so everything looks wonderfully efficient! Breakfast looked amazing and the bar would be so fun to visit!
Perfect for an introvert like myself, however would never work in Australia as many disrespect property. Hopefully I can eventually stay in one&prices are decent compared to Oz despite our weak currency,Thanks
That is very cool and it would be a fun experience. I'm from the US so please understand when I ask this...aren't they concerned with someone trying to steal stuff from there seeing it's ran by robots?
Okinawa is on an island further south. I heard "Retreat", and was also curious about which base was so close by. I couldn't find its name, but it does show several US Navy properties, including housing.
So only what was with robot were shop cashier and the person in check in? I guess the restaurant was full of waiters, and I don't think the robots were cleaning the rooms. I must say it's a no from me. But thank you for the view! Without this I wouldn't have a clue how to react this kind of experience!
That is epic. Love you two guys for showing us all the interesting gems in Japan. Good to see you wore a face mask so you didn't get a computer virus. :) Happy Christmas or seasonal greetings from the UK. Health and then wealth to you both in 2023 !
Here I thought the robot greets customer is either Terminator version or CyberCop version.....still remember this Nippon CyberCop once aired in Malaysia. Lolz. Japan always ahead of other for A.I. technology.
Japan has always been superior and ahead of it's time with electronics, and now hotels like this. That drink that filled up from the bottom of your glass, how is that done?
That Robohon Orchestra must be James May's HELL, lol. He used one of those little digital *BLEEP*s on Our Man in Japan and the ruddy thing was all but useless! Made for some great TV though with him dying of laughter everytime the robot spoke following a mishap with his nickname of Bim, rather than Jim.
You missed when they cleaned the room. I would like to know if also a robot housekeeper. If it is in US, especially in California, it won't last 5 minutes the 1st day it opens. Everything will be gone in 5 minutes, maybe less. 😂
That's so cool! Are this robots, just normal robots that's pre programed? Or are this robots, AI robots where they learn and get better n smarter as time goes on? 16.00 mins plus, I hear Koreans talking in the background. 🤣🤣🤣
Very nice hotel but.. I would have been headed towards Okinawa running from that dinosaur cuz that was just straight up creepy. I really enjoyed this video!
Yes its take job from real people but that progress it awesome wow the hotel your room awesome enjoy thanks for sharing take care stay safe and have fun 😘😘😊❤️
That looked amazing! As an introvert, I avoid personal contact where possible. Being able to stay in a hotel without interacting with lots of people sounds good.
Love everything Japan including seaweed flavored Kit Kat’s, I wouldn’t sleep in that hotel if you paid me because I know that would be the night SkyNet took over and I’m not oiling these creepy robots for the rest of my life for a daily thimble of water and a crust of bread. Started as a joke but it’s suddenly seems like a possibility albeit a tiny tiny one.
I can't be the only one who feels a bit uncomfortable with an all-robot hotel staff. What about all those Jobs? Is this hotel cheaper because of the reduced overhead? I doubt that very much. It's probably just extra Profit
I'm assuming it's actually a great thing for the Japanese to have robots as they have declining birth rate. I think robot maintenance might be high at the moment due to limited mechanics
Depends on how you look at it. As a novelty, this hotel is an amazing idea. Its a glimpse of the "future" that a lot of people only dream of. But if it were to be anything more than that, such as replacing humans and their jobs, it would be an awful idea.
The Robot Hotel looks awful. Ugly and cold. TV in the corner? Cheap anime holo staff? The Robots Look like late 90s, last century. For 88bugs, its ok but nothing special or something great.
8:22 omg the little robot orchestra is sooooo cute 😄😆😆

If anything it’d be the one robot from the ochrestra that is missing his lil hat.
@@snowylilacs7952 👍😂
I must admit you guys seem to find the most amazing places but with wonderful food, I hope you both have a lovely time and a wonderful Christmas
The robot orchestra was adorable I can’t 😂❤❤❤❤
Okay, but the little robot orchestra was the best part. Lol 🎉🎉❤
We REALLY wanted to hear the dinosaur receptionist make dinsaur sounds instead of speaking Japanese, breakfast looked good too. The beer glass thing was weird . STill a very interesting concept. Thank you for sharing.
The breakfast looks heavenly. It's great to see you enjoy Darjeeling Tea too in Japan.
That robot orchestra! Amazing
thanks for your video !
first time watching u guys on this channel, watched due to where u stayed. I like it when u guys talk more.

Great review. Will stay at the one in Tokyo next year, looking forward to it!

That robot hotel was pretty neat. I enjoyed the "tiny robot" orchestra. Also, the tornado beer dispenser was super cool.
Thanks for this vlog. Merry Christmas! 2022. 🎅🤶🎄🎁

we went there last year,,nostalgic♥️♥️♥️enjoy your stay
Very interesting! Some day I would like to experience visiting Japan.
Personally, I want to be checked in by the dinosaur xD

That ice cream reminds me of a dessert we have here in Canada called butter tarts, which you can get with raisins if you like!
what an enjoyable video i loved the lighted trees so relaxing n the breakfast wow i love japanese style breakfast
Perfect for an introvert like myself, however would never work in Australia as many disrespect property. Hopefully I can eventually stay in one&prices are decent compared to Oz despite our weak currency,Thanks
Your videos are so relaxing.
That ice cream though... the ratio of ice cream to cone is unbelievable!
Maybe you can do a comparison of this one and the one in hamamastucho? just to see if the standards are the same? Thank you for the video!
There are a lot more than just these two. If I'm counting correctly, there are 20 across Japan.
How interesting! Tha k you for sharing gand Merry Christmas.
i tell ya japan has come super far with tecnology
“You can be checked in by a dinosaur.”
I’m in.
That hotel looks nice. Troy said to tell you hi and that he likes the robots that do the check in.
I’ve been following your channel for a while I like the way you did this video the silence was joyful. Kind of Zen.
Awesome 👍👍👍
The lady check-in robot definitely triggers the "uncanny valley" effect. The hologram and the dinosaur were a lot less disturbing. :)
That one might as well have had "Stepford Wife" on a name tag!
3:22 Nothing like winding down at the robot hotel by drinking a Bloody Android.🤖
That is very cool and it would be a fun experience. I'm from the US so please understand when I ask this...aren't they concerned with someone trying to steal stuff from there seeing it's ran by robots?
i am from india and i have the same concern
@@deadzio that's not always the case
My nephew is stationed in Okinawa for another week and I heard "Retreat" playing, I'm wondering if that was the base he's on.

I like the 3 options for robot front desk. Might be for research purposes of what people feel comfortable with

Happy Christmas or seasonal greetings from the UK. Health and then wealth to you both in 2023 !
Wow, Your breakfast was so healthy 😋 🥰. Unlike the traditional breakfast where I'm from that's loaded with satuated fats and sugar.
You must give us a tour of the theme park someday!
Here I thought the robot greets customer is either Terminator version or CyberCop version.....still remember this Nippon CyberCop once aired in Malaysia. Lolz. Japan always ahead of other for A.I. technology.

Right at dinner time, perfect meal and a show! Good stuff!

Japan is like 500 years ahead of Africa.
Forget holograms I'll take the raptor in a scarf.
Why would you pick anything but the velociraptor? lmao
How interesting
Cool but creepy 🥰 Great video guys!
Spectacular Fun. Technology that is unique to Japan. I like the Dinosaur. Cheers for showing a unique hotel. Loved it.
That robot dinosaur is creepy af.
Bro thats Komodos cousin...
I noticed that you have another channel on youtube ( Shinichi's world ) where you speak . On this channel you don't comment, my question : is why?
How bizarre....Not sure I would fully trust that beer glass....hahaha
I take its only partially robot staffed. Someone has to clean the rooms and make the beds and prepare all that food.
Great theme for a horror movie.
You missed when they cleaned the room. I would like to know if also a robot housekeeper.
If it is in US, especially in California, it won't last 5 minutes the 1st day it opens. Everything will be gone in 5 minutes, maybe less. 😂
$88 is CHEAP for a hotel like that. easily would be a couple hundred in the states ,
That's so cool! Are this robots, just normal robots that's pre programed? Or are this robots, AI robots where they learn and get better n smarter as time goes on?
16.00 mins plus, I hear Koreans talking in the background. 🤣🤣🤣
Apart from the 3 at the front desk, I don’t see any robot staff running this hotel.
Remminds me of Disneyland.
You missed out. Your one chance to be checked in by a dino. Maybe next time. Aaaahhhhhh He checked you out. that was cool
That breakfast looked amazing ❤ Not bad for robot production 😂
I think the fish were real 😅
💙👍
Been here but no stay due to out of my budget and not convenience for me to find foods around Sasebo
Who will clean the rooms?
That Hologram staff looks like he came from Ouran High School Host Club
Doesn't first robotic hotel is one in Tokyo?!
The mighty need to buy one of each of everything in that snack shop
creepy - that’s all I can say - creepy
Very nice hotel but.. I would have been headed towards Okinawa running from that dinosaur cuz that was just straight up creepy. I really enjoyed this video!

9:20 For a “Smart Convenience Store” ( _sumato conbini_ ), it seems quite low-tech…
the thing is people only like to visit where they can connect and see the people visiting otherwise most beautiful places has zero value
Wow not sure if I’m impressed or weirded out 🤷♀️
This is carrying automation a bit too far. It's frightening and weird. Not for me, I enjoy talking to people.
Kinda creepy
Effing creepy I gotta say….there is so much fodder for a horror movie here….

Congratulations on spending 2 x 88 dollars US...🙂
To me it's just creepy! 🧟♂️
scary experience... if you cannot see any human.. whats the purpose of people and community?
Oh wow just starting video but I was so confused by the little robot lady at beginning but then I saw the title😂
Creepy Hotel 😐 No staff
No no no robots made to look like real people. No. Creepy. Just put a robot there. Or a droid from Star Wars. 😂

I agree…cool “novelty” but the implications are downright scary 😳
Not really, they’d still need us to fix and repair things. Pretty sure it was human maids that did the bedding, we r just not supposed to see them.
