I love how the cans are made so artistically. So they look like it's a design on the can, but when you eat it, it turns out you were actually seeing the contents.
Cake in a can is certainly an odd concept, but this design makes it portable and keeps the product fresh. The fact that it also is delicious is a plus. The price point does seem a bit high, but quality does not come cheaply. I am a chocolate and fruit fan, so I'd prefer the chiffon with strawberry and raspberry.
Can I just say that I love all the questions you ask while walking to the destination in your videos! It makes it feel like a nice walk with a conversation :-)
All of those looked really good! It isn't something I would buy regularly due to the cost but it would be a best treat once in a while. I was bummed out that the matcha flavor was sold out, I've seen other creators speak well of that flavor too.
What fun food. It was a surprise that the pattern was actually the food. That adds to the eye appeal. It is 56 degrees Fahrenheit and clear skies as I watch your video at 1:56 AM in Denver. I think I would agree with your favorites. I love Flan and strawberry shortcake. This was fun thank you.
The weather turned here from 23 degrees and sun (almost summerlike) to a chilly 14 degrees with wind and rain. Typical Dutch autumn weather has arrived, though late this year. I've been to Osaka once 10 years ago. A friend studied at university there so I went to see here for 4 days. Though I enjoyed my time there I was happy to return to Tokyo, since I feel more at home in the Kanto region. (she has the same with returning to Osaka hahaha). It's fun they have these cakes in a can. Can't eat them because of the strawberries. And they are kind of expensiveso probably would pick up a cake in the combini or at a department store myself. But fun to try once.
I like those containers I have seen similar or inspired items in housewares but I couldn't think of anything I would really want to store in them (another jewelry container? My mom would kill me) so it is cool to see the patisserie make beautiful vending machine cakes with the containers
They all look good and delicious. I would definitely buy the strawberry shortcake and purin pudding. Some cakes are quite pricey but definitely worth a try. I think I would eat the purin pudding on a daily/regular basis too. I wonder if they taste better than the convenience store ones. 🤔😊
@ 6:59 No wonder they are expensive. They spent so much effort to create that beautiful design. Worth the extra you paid for. @ 7:57 Absolutely will pay for that. @ 14:48 All of them.
glad you were enjoying yourself 😉 but afraid I’d have to pass on all four as I’m lactose and wheat intolerant 😳thnx for taking us on another fun food adventure 🤗🇨🇦
Feed meimei went to Seattle and the cafes made really cute snacks and drinks then I go shopping and find diy things if I wanted to try making that stuff, but I don't want to so that's enough fun for me
I recently went to mcdonalds for breakfast, I hadn't been there for over 2 years and I got hashbrowns. Then I went to the grocery store and tried 2 brands of frozen hashbrowns cooked in the air fryer. Mcdonalds probably has a hashbrown vending machine somewhere
have the oden pots returned to the convenience stores this october? i remember when i was in japan 2019 i would walk into a lawsons or family mart or 7/11 and instantly smell the delicious aroma of the oden. they probably stopped it during the pandemic, but wondering if they have returned ? another UA-camr said they are now sold in microwaveable bags which doesn't sound that appealing. thanks.
Quite honestly I don't see much of a point over a regular cake from a bakery + less packaging (especially less plastic) + it's cheaper. All looked good though, chocolate strawberry shortcake would be my favourite to try.
The purin reminded me of something from my long ago childhood... back then it was pretty common to find canned pudding in American grocery stores. They were regular cans, not the pop tops. Unfortunately the pudding usually tasted like the can!
So guess they are refrigerated if they have whipped cream? I would prefer the flan and the strawberry/raspberry is the best! 🏵️ Hope it comes to the USA.
My stepdaughter went to Japan and raved about the machine food. She said it w as so amazing and her father had a problem keeping her out of the vending machines as she used them for her snacks while there. She also brought back these lovely slippers! I envied her!
It is currently six degrees below freezing here, but clear skies, so we don’t have snow at the moment. I need to hurry and get everything ready for winter. Would I buy these cakes? Yes, but not very frequently. They are high quality cakes. My other choices would be super low quality cakes that taste and feel like plastic, or large bakery cakes of variable quality and high prices that will go bad before I finish them…
@@IWillAlwaysTravelforFood thank you. One thing I was curious about, how are these viewed over there? For example if one hosts a company event and offered these, how would people react?
I'm a sucker for sweets and as long as I can walk to the machine, I would pay 11 dollars for a cake in a can. I live in an expensive city so $11 for a tiny cake is really not that bad, for a monthly treat if I exercised and ate healthy.
Japan in a Can.... how about a nice cinnamon roll? This concept is really interesting, but licking the batter might cause lacerations ha! I'd buy at least one! I'm a sucker for yellow cake, so I'll start there.
I think if I was in Japan and had the opportunity to purchase this cake in a can, I would. Just to see what it was like. You seem to enjoy it, though, so it must be worth the price. By the way, I have never heard of a chocolate version of strawberry shortcake; at least not here in the States.
That's what a can of soda looks like after the thin bit of aluminum disintegrates there is a clear plastic lining that's all it really is it's exactly what ALL soda cans look like naked. $7 is quite a lot of money for s small single-serving dessert in Osaka, you are paying for the whole "Cake in a can" novelty of it for that price I can get a full meal, a beverage dessert, and a late-night snack for the some price
This is kinda a new trend I’m seeing from a lot of Asian countries lately. Is this new cause I saw 1 video and now everyone is talking about these machines.
I love how the cans are made so artistically. So they look like it's a design on the can, but when you eat it, it turns out you were actually seeing the contents.
I’m planing to visit Osaka next week and I think I’ll go try this out. Looks so delicious. Thank you for another great video.
I love how you can see the cake on outside of the can. I would definitely go for the choco strawberry shortcake.
I guess you liked this vending machine so much, you visited it again :D Cute cakes in cans.

Same, i'm a chocolate guy too. So i would prefer choc moist cake or rather tiramisu cake in a can
same I'd try that one and matcha
Hey guys yes love theses vending machines video t awesome walk thanks for sharing take care 😘😘❤️👍
Can I just say that I love all the questions you ask while walking to the destination in your videos! It makes it feel like a nice walk with a conversation :-)
They look beautiful in the packaging, but for that price I'd want to eat every crumb!
All of those looked really good! It isn't something I would buy regularly due to the cost but it would be a best treat once in a while. I was bummed out that the matcha flavor was sold out, I've seen other creators speak well of that flavor too.
I also wanted to see him try that flavor
I wish America had vending machines like this.
They would be vandalized so quickly and have to be removed.
@@blueberrypitbull87 yeah lol
What blueberry said
they do though lol. the carlo’s bake shop vending machines, for one

Thank you for trying these cakes. They are so beautiful!
I prefer the first one but would definitely get them all.❤️😍😋😋thank you so much for your channel it is one of my favorites on UA-cam.👵🏻🇺🇸

If the expiration date is long enough, it could be a good souvenir.
Wow that's interesting how the other day DancingBacon showcased this too and now you are as well!
Beautiful video!!!! Love the flan!!!

You're probably reminded of mason jar, honestly
They all look good and delicious. I would definitely buy the strawberry shortcake and purin pudding. Some cakes are quite pricey but definitely worth a try. I think I would eat the purin pudding on a daily/regular basis too. I wonder if they taste better than the convenience store ones. 🤔😊
Holy Doodle, this is the 3rd cake in a can video I've seen this week 😂 One was from Indonesia, but it was a Japanese vending machine
One of my other favorite YTs from Thailand just posted one too!
The ETSU Brand?
@ 6:59 No wonder they are expensive. They spent so much effort to create that beautiful design. Worth the extra you paid for. @ 7:57 Absolutely will pay for that. @ 14:48 All of them.
Damn I wish I could work and live in Japan cause I love how much introvert loving the country is, but I am broke and dont know any Japanese language 🥲
My favorite is strawberry shortcake and flan. 😋 I've never had Purin.
glad you were enjoying yourself 😉 but afraid I’d have to pass on all four as I’m lactose and wheat intolerant 😳thnx for taking us on another fun food adventure 🤗🇨🇦
Hello! Here in Saxony it is 07:00 AM an it has 5°C. And I start driving to work. Wish I would be in Osaka!😉
The first one takes the cake. No way you can beat that classic combination imo
Is this a new trend? first DancingBacon now you, now I really want to try the canned cake lol
They've been around for a while now, Erik for example also did a lot of videos on them. And I wouldn't mind giving them a try either.
So cool and I think I'd like them all 😋👍🖖
I would like the first one. I wish we had this machine in Canada.
Okay...I want them _all!_ That's the comment. 😊🤣
Fascinating concept! Strawberry shortcake all the way. They remind me of parfaits rather than cake per se.
Back to the canned cakes you two 😉
So yummy! 😋
I'm a simple girl. Just give me a can of strawberry shortcake and a spoon, and that'll make my day sooo much better ❤
...after this video i immediately had to buy me some cake...no matter the costs 🤤😍😄😁😂🤣
So glad to see a new video from you! I've seen these cakes going around. Saving the video to watch to go to sleep tonight ☺️ Thank you!
Feed meimei went to Seattle and the cafes made really cute snacks and drinks then I go shopping and find diy things if I wanted to try making that stuff, but I don't want to so that's enough fun for me
look yummy, and it´s kinda expensive(according to prices in my country), but if I ever go to japan I would like to try everything no matter the cost

If I could only try one, it’d be the third one! I love raspberry and chocolate
Quite honestly I don't see much of a point over a regular cake from a bakery + less packaging (especially less plastic) + it's cheaper. All looked good though, chocolate strawberry shortcake would be my favourite to try.
These look amazing. I'd have trouble choosing

Dancing bacons just made a video on one of these! They look so good ☺️
Another channel I follow - Dancing Bacons - posted the same video yesterday because this vending machine is now located in Singapore.
It would be nice if America had those machines.
The strawberry cake looks so delicious, I hope I can try it someday :)
Clear and 70f! In chicago crazy temp.

I like chocolate so I want to try the second one but would eat the strawberry short cake as well.
Poor Satoshi. There wasn't much custard left for him.
I’d like the chocolate strawberry one! Can’t wait to go back to Japan
Hawaiian air has fares for $600 now!
Wow that’s so cool😇thanks for sharing this video ❤ stay blessed 🙏🏼 here in U.S doesn’t have anything like that
I’d definitely get the chocolate strawberry cake. I’m not a fan of flan but I’d try it 😂
Amazing what you can get in a can the fourth can cream caramel for me yummy.
I'd probably get it once for the novelty at least, and to keep the can
Sad we can't have stuff like this in America. It would be vandalized and broke into in a day.
Delicious.
Are online payment apps like UPI not available in vending machines.
Yum yum yum!
These certainly looked nice, albeit a bit pricier as usual. Is the general price going up or is it just the machine in this case?
The price has always been high for these canned cakes.
@@IWillAlwaysTravelforFood thank you. One thing I was curious about, how are these viewed over there? For example if one hosts a company event and offered these, how would people react?

I do not think that they were too expensive. Looks like you get a big serving. I’d like to try any of the, but I am partial to custard

10.22 Canadian? I don't think so. But it looks delicious.
I would love it if they made a matcha cream cake with Oreos in it,

I would gladly pay 1100¥ for that considering restaurants here charge too much for a big piece of mass produced blandness.
clouded and windy
I need that custard pudding vending machine!!!
I like strawberries shortcake and strawberry, Raspberry shortcake ❤😊
Last one for me .
❤
thats a lot of money for basically a can of cream xd
💙✌
Purin (crème caramel) for me please!
отлично,жаль у нас такого нету
Oooooh! I wanna try if I ever visit
making sweets is learning-what?
Nice but over price
expensive
Last one looks like flan
I swear you guys had these a few months ago in a video.
Where’s The Canned Bread Vending Machine
not expensive !
I would love to try the chocolate cream one !!
I want narration so bad on this channel
I come here to get away from all the babbling elsewhere 🙃 just detailed food closeups and minimal commentary 👍
This is kinda a new trend I’m seeing from a lot of Asian countries lately. Is this new cause I saw 1 video and now everyone is talking about these machines.
Either of the chocolate cakes for me please! I'll send u my address in the US! 😁
They look so good I think I'll get one when I'm over in 2 weeks. Look out Osaka we are finally coming back . Hello from Downunder 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
