Yes Underway is such a beautiful instrumantel , just heavenly ,dont get enough ,listen in it ,Peter the onlyone who could create such kind of songs , genius 💚💚💚
I don't know if Peter Greene was a sailor, but the title and combination of driving rhythm with his lilting guitar has always taken me to sea. Fair winds Mr Greene!
Thanks for posting love "Underway" Peter's writing at his world class best. Back in the day for me he was "The Man" no contest. Sounds as if it's looped ? Some of the other versions out there turn into a jam.
There is a bootleg from the 70s called “Merely a portmanteau“ that has a fantastic version of the Rattlesnake Shake / Underway jam. This boot has been reissued and is worth buying if one owns the equipment to play vinyl. I don’t think it’s available in a digital format. What’s unusual about the Rattlesnake Shake version is Peter’s use of a Wawa pedal which I’ve not heard on any other RS version. I guess it was a one off. The lovely “Underway” version almost sounds a bit Indian, Raga in places. Peter alternates between enlightened space exploration and some parts where he digs in a bit. The other of the boot selections are just as good, including a hilarious version of Jeremy Spencer’s “Tiger”

Yes you right ,he loved the sea 💚
Beautiful song. I wish it lasted for hours.
Some of the live versions do . Check out the live bootlegs
Rest in peace, Peter
love early and mid fleetwood mac eras ...a real treat.
Really into the frequency of these soundscapes!
Einzigartiger sound
Great music and thanks for the clarifying the bands early history.

It's taken from a CD and let it repeat until the text stopped
Great !
Love the Rattlesnake Shake jams they did that would drop into Underway. Wonder if they picked up this dreamy spaced feel from playing with the Dead.
My thought exactly, Richard. When I first heard the segue on the Boston Box it was so like a Wheel coming out of a tumultuous heavy space / jam...
