Wouldnt it make more sense if the first switch (closest to the bedroom door) be the bedroom light switch as it would be the closest? That would make the switch closest to the en-suite the en-suite switch.
on that thought... 30/1/23 allegedly tested & reported to IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations using the above method uses a single yellow/green 3m (approx) sheathed wire for the switched live? Installed by a 'qualified Electrician'? Another light switch with metal back box, broken CPC and held on the wall by paint!! I'm not qualified as a sparkie but even I know that's wrong/dangerous. These videos are educational and provide proof of the CORRECT way - even for us DIY's or other professional roles.
In Germany 1-way light switches are no longer a thing for some time. It's actually cheaper for the manufacturers to manufacture more 2-way switches instead of manufacture 1-way switches on a separate line. Especially since it is easy to use a 2-way switch for a simple on/off application. That reduced the prices of these switches, before they were more expensive. But since they became standard, the prices dropped.
Love this video didn’t know it could be done like this but question what is the other end connections wire like e.i. Is all the lives in one way go clip and all blues and earths the same in there own way go clips then just follow the procedure in this video and that will give me to separate switches for two separate lights from one live feed , apologise just in the middle of lowering ceiling and want to have a central fan light on one switch and down light on a separate switch like your video so was wondering would this work
I have just connected the 2 Gang Switch, but there are some problems, when I click up the button.. the light is on, when i click down the button is if off now.... the button is reversed... I m wondering .... am i making some mistake on the L1 wire?
Many thanks for explaining and making this switch wiring so simple, I needed to replace my old worn switch but didn't understand the wiring, now I know, cheers
Again Nicely explained. Taking to feed to the switch is so much easier to work out. Been doing this method to my old house. At least most switches have a neutral now. So easier to add the new fancy switches which require neutral 😇
Hi, I have an issue with my landing light. When I turn the downstairs switch off I cant turn the light back on upstairs. But if I turn the downstairs on then I can turn the light on and off upstairs.

Have you a video on bringing your live feed to the roses instead of the switch. Like the video 👍👍👍
Hi Gaz, any chance you can drawn the wiring diagram for us to see.

If anyone asks can you use a two gang switch as two one way switches then they shouldn't be.anywhere near electricity.
Why so? I see no safety breach.

@@amaddinthenowthe question demonstrates such a massive lack of understanding that they probably shouldn't even be allowed near sharp objects 🥴

Thanks for the great comment 👍🏻
Germany failing to to save the planets resources again, just for profit. 😉
Well explained thanks
Thanks
Thank you! was not sure why off was on and on was off. Switched the wires and worked perfectly :)

The loop link is just like the jungle.... massive 😄
😅
What is the need for the loop from COM to COM?
To feed the live to the second switch.
