How can young learners fail to pass there college courses and exams when they have fantastic videos witch are a fantastic backup to there course work, and from a brilliant teacher. Who does whatever he can to help the learners.
And keeps it clear and simple understand and learn.
Always a a pleasure and enjoyment watching GHS videos. 👍👍👍👍❤️
I am not even taking my electrician exams, but this is really useful to understand what a mess my current house wiring is in. Great video.
Thanks 👍🏻
Perfect easy to follow diagram! Thanks for this!
Brilliant teacher, God bless you
Thanks for the support
Great videos and the best part is the explanation. Very useful content, thanks!
Thanks for watching and the support. Gaz 👍🏻
Excellent video very well explained and easy to understand. 👍👍👍👍👍❤️
That was great, very clear. Thank you.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
So efficient and simple way to understand
absolutely amazing video thank you :)
Thanks
The videos of GSH electrical are great because they know how to combine practice and theory very well. 👨👩👧👦
Thanks for the support and great comment 👍🏻
Much appreciated as usual.
Thanks 👍🏻
Thanks that as been clear and concise well done
Great video! Clear diagram and good explanation. Thank you for making life easier 😁
Massive thanks for commenting and watching 👍🏻. Gaz
I'm here to say that you are so amazing for your explanation but can you please explain how to wire 3gang switch with 2plate method
very educative. thank you regards
Thanks 👍🏻
Thanks, really helpful video.
I'm assuming if you were running the lighting circuit on to other rooms, you'd use the vacant terminals in the right hand light fitting to continue the journey?
Very helpful.. thank you 👍🏻
👍🏻
Excellent
Hi, great video. Could this wiring be used for lights that are in the same room rather than different rooms? I am wanting to put in 8 spotlights in my living room on dimmers that are controlled by a 2 gang switch (4x spotlights each switch).
Excellent videos. Is there any chance of the tech on similar wiring but for wiring through the switch on 2 gang please. Have power supply coming in and need to operate 2 different lighting systems (porch light and hallway) from a 2 gang switch. Many thanks
There is a company called "Trendi", they have a 2 gang which has a intermediate and a 2 way.
I think they have a few 3 gang and 4 gang which have intermediate scattered in their catalog also.
Though, their design choice is polerising (?) but I gotta admit their ability to fit a 4 gang on a single plate is quite impressive.
Thanks for that great update Colin 👍
Can I use this method from a 2.5TE Ring Main fused spur as a radial supply to switch a shaver socket on one switch and a cabinet light transformer on the other switch?
Great and easy to understand Video. I love your channel. I have a great question in regards of these two gang Wiring.
I am planning to replace a two gang switch to a Smart switch that requires a neutral. Now in current configuration you would have four conductor at the switch. Two live ( from the same Circuit ) and two switch live ( to the two celling rose).
If one of the live would be changed to a neutral at the loght fitting you would have a shared Live from the other light fittings to the two switched live. I assume with low power (LED lights) the shared live would be safe to use especially if it is connected to a 6amp mcb. What is your professional opinion?
Nice information
Thanks 👍🏻
Thanks for you're explanation very good job! but the question I have is I'm running a 3/4 with earth core cable running to my 2 way switch can you explain how I run my cores in My switch l to keep each light separate?? Do I just link across my commons
Great video thank you
Thanks
Thanks
Hi there is a metal box where the previous cpc is connected however I have a metal switch, where do I put the cpc, in metal box or the switch ? Thank you in advance
Really clear video and diagrams... I would be so grateful if i had Gaz as a tutor!
Am i correct in thinking if you wanted to have downlights in either one of these rooms, you have the ceiling rose connections in a Junction Box and then have your L/N/CPC to your first downlight then daisy chained?
Great Explanation :o)
Thanks 👍🏻
Thanks
Thank you very helpful. I have to replace a double switch but one of the switches has two L1 - how do I describe this type of unit when search for a replacement? Thank you, Mike
Amazing
Thanks. Gaz 👍🏻
I am really interested in the wiring for 2-Gang on spot lights
Trying to install a smart switch no neutral design (UK) on a double switch, kitchen and dining room, but haven't been successful, would love to know how to do?
Can you take a feed to a second light from a 2-gang switch, rather than the 2nd light getting a feed from the 1st light?
I prefer to put the cables in the right hand side of the ceiling rose on the loop and neutral when going to a different room. Much easier for identifying a incoming tail and outgoing
@GSH Electrical.
This is pretty close to my problem i'm trying solve.
I want to remove the 2 physical switches that control 2 lights and have them on.
Then I will add 2 wireless switches that are controlled by my Hue bridge,
But i've removed 1 switch and now they don't switch on. So i'm learning how to remove both switches and wire the lights on.
I know the Question and trying to ask. So its a start.
We have 1 single switch that operates 2 lights in one room, would a 2 gang switch work them independently?
Hey GSH, your videos are really helpful, thank you. In particular the diagrams available for download, however, I have 2 questions. 1. What are the circles with three ports - diagrams from page 6 onwards - representative of, don't want to assume. And secondly, as a visual learner, do you have any links to similar diagrams for other circuits to work from?
The diagrams are extremely helpful and very useful for my mentor/s to use with me, especially with the 2 gang 2 way which ive struggled to get my head around for a while now. Thank you!
Ever get an answer?
What if I have a 1gang switch at the bottom of the staircase and another 1gang at the top and two lights (again top and bottom) and would like to change them to two gang switches so that I can switch both lights separately? Do I need to run a new wire?
quick question does it matter what terminals in the loop you put the wires in
Would this be same if i wanted to put a light in the loft controlled by master bedroom?

Is there a video showing a 2 gang switch powering 2 different sets of downlights using 2 plate method?
Goods
I have an issue with replacing a 2 gang dimmer switch with a 2 gang 2 way regular switch to control two different lights.
All I have to connect to the switches are 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 sleeved (must be switch live) & one red.
I've struggled to get them to work without tripping the fuse box.
It looks like the dimmer switch was connected using a bridging wire from one gang to the other, but as some of the wires came out when I removed it from the wall I don't know how they're supposed to be connected
how do I add in an extra double gang switch to an existing circuit. At the moment I have a switch in my kitchen that operates two seperate light systems (double gang). Having turned the door around it now obscures the double switch behind it so I want to add another double switch outside in the corridor (before entering kitchen) how do i do that? It has power coming into switch direct from consumer unit and then goes to the lights.
Is it possible to use the two plate method to wire a two gang switch? Or is there a good reason you only show the 3 plate method for 2 gang switches?
I have a 2 gang switch but have 6 red wires and 6 black and 6 earth. It's only to wire up a kitchen light and a outside light. Any ideas 💡
Can I take a cable from the kitchen light to use it for outside light?
Yes
If I was doing it I would link the live between the 2 switches and just use a single 1mm double insulated cable back to the second ceiling rose for the switch wire
I Agree, but feed to switch every time for me.
My two gang switch also has "loop".
Very helpful presentation bhai ❤❤❤❤
Any chance of a video showing the most efficient or best practice way of wiring up 2 lights with 2 x 2way switching?
2 x lights (1 up, 1 down)
2 x 2 gang 2way switches (1 up, 1 down) both being able to switch both lights?
Love the videos, very informative and easy to follow for a visual learner.

One of many options 👍🏻
Can you just join the common terminals of the switch together and then you could get away with one three core and earth cable to the switch ?
🤦🏻♂️
Good video,it’s help me to do wiring in my garage. Simple nd easy teach . Thanks
Two switches on oone cable for two bulbs
Can you wire 2 gang switches with 2 plate method?
Yes 👍🏻
