Just purchased a beautiful Cx30 Mazda 2021 in deep crystal blue preferred package. We love it! Drives like a dream and the interior is drop dead gorgeous.
Every time I see a Mazda CX30 I go "there goes someone who knows how to buy a car, best car for the money"...it does just about everything you'd need a passenger vehicle to do and does it in a package that you can actually enjoy driving. It has all the tech you'd need, gets good mpg, drives well, it's classy A F and is IMO more than reasonably priced considering all that good stuff

Three weeks ago, I purchased my 2021 CPO CX30 (Snowflake Metallic). I'd owned Mini Cooper's prior to this purchase, but three coworkers own & love their Mazdas, so I decided to just "take a look". I was sold after the test drive! I'm looking forward to discovering all the great features my CX30 has, (just set up the remote start feature yesterday). I'm really looking forward to using that here when it's minus 10° in January! Look forward to your future videos!
I purchased my first Mazda 3 weeks ago - a 2022 CX-30 AWD Carbon Edition (Polymetal Gray Metallic paint w/Black Wheels). I did have to do a few customizations to it though to make it more palatable for me with that generically-uniform thick black plastic cladding. I blacked out the chrome front grill trim, & the chrome trim on the lower side windows with a matte black vinyl that matches the bumper. I also used the same black vinyl to black out the triangular recessed license plate area of lower painted hatch to better stylize/blend the vehicle from the rear & break up the jarringly-stark horizontal contrast between black plastic bumper & painted hatch. End result looks great & sort of gives it an aggressive, darker "Mad Max" crossover sort of look (especially with those black Mazda wheels). Also thinking about blacking out the raised center portion of hood down to where it meets the upper front grill, as well as doing a DIY to add a lower grill intake cover similar to design of upper grill (that lower area just looks too open & exposed from the factory).
We like our 2021 CX-30 a lot but 2 things I really dislike are the constant "low battery" warning if you leave the door open for a very short time. The dealer says it's 'normal' but I believe it's a fault. The other dislike is the fact that the front transfer case oil fill bolt is blocked by a bracket which makes changing the fluid impossible.
Thanks as I didn’t realize the lift gate had an adjustable stop. Love my 2031 CX 30 Premium trim model. The only issue and it appears wide spread is poor phone performance. Every call I make results in the recipient complaining that it sounds horrible on there end. I’ve seen many discussions about the problem but Mazda hasn’t owned up to resolving it…Other than that this is a great car.
Hi I have this beautiful car in soul red crystal and really enjoy it. I just wonder how to clean the dashboard. As it is not plastic but a softy material. If I use a dust cloth, it seems to put more dust than it cleans and I’m afraid using water or any other product. Thanks from Belgium.
I want to see a review of a base model CX-30. NO OPTIONS. I've yet to see a video that goes over what a base 2.5S actually comes standard with.. It's important because, on the high end, the CX-30 isn't a very impressive value, but the 2.5S base, at $23,000ish, seems to be quite a good value. 👍🏻

what about auto folding mirrors when locking the car? I have a Mazda 2 2020 and it comes equiped with that in the highest trim, but but CX30 Premium does not seem to have it. is there a trick to activate them?

Go back to the dealership, that's not accurate. Three weeks ago I purchased my CX 30 (CP0 2021) & it didn't have Sirius or Navigation card installed. The car comes with three months of free Sirius. (Sirius e-mailed me too).
Great review Johnathan. My daughter has a 2021 Mazda cx 30 and is trying to change the rear wiper blade. The manual says to remove the cover then remove the stopper that allows the wiper arm to be raised up. Problem is the diagram shows the stopper lifted straight up out of the arm base, but doesn't say how to un-lodge the stopper. Stopper is smooth with nothing indicating how to remove it. HELP!!!!!!!

I have one similar to this. It's a GT Turbo. But one thing I wish it could do is turn off the cigarette lighter when the car turns off. I have a dashcam plugged into the cig. lighter and it's always on. I'd prefer to not have it recording when the car is parked overnight.

However, its outside/side mirrors have been folded toward the car windows by the shipping company, and now I do not know how to move them back to the normal position. Are active grill shutters available on Cx-30 turbo trims or just Premium? Assuming cylinder deactivation is only on naturally aspirated Premium and not the Turbo trims?
Yes the shutters are on the Turbo models, and you are correct, no deactivation on the turbo models. They use the cylinder exhaust to precharge the turbine.
@@JSS I thought they took cylinder deactivation out in the 2021 CX30? Not crazy about the turbo long term and not crazy about the cylinder deactivation. It’s holding me back from purchasing
Everything except how to disable the automatic parking brake. Unfortunately you can't.. which is my only dissatisfaction with my purchase of this vehicle. However, it bothers me enough to reconsider purchasing Mazda again.
@@iliveinthewoods I don't know how it's called. But there is plastic at the bottom of the body surrounding the wheels, this seems common on SUVs nowadays, but in the case of the CX-30 it has been way overdone

It is a fault we took ours to mazda and they did some software update and it fixed it.

It’s an automatic on/off based on weight. If it is empty, the airbag will not deploy.

The CX-30 doesn’t offer fold in mirrors. The inner mirrors just tilt down when in reverse. Congratulations on your new ride.

You can just fold them out manually. They are designed to break away like that. No damage should occur.

I feel your frustration. I think if I drove it every day I would get used to the seatbelt, gear, accelerator process.
Maybe it's a US thing? In the UK you can turn it on and off.

I didn't have it on my 2021 Premium non- turbo. Check on the Fuel Efficiency gauge for it.

So dont buy it. I have it in Soul Red, and it looks fantastic, AND protects against gravel dings.
